The Racism And Sexism Already Happening!

Republicans don't like a pretty smile.

Vice President Kamala Harris is the presumptive Democratic nominee and she has full support of the Democrats and President Joe Biden. The vice president will be seeking a running mate who could help her and the Democrats defeat former president Donald J. Trump and J.D. Vance.

Harris has a 46% chance of winning.

However, based on calculations and the enthusiasm gap, Harris is growing in chances.

Trump and Republicans are shell shocked. They have nothing to run on. Eventually, they will latch on to something to attack Harris. To be honest, they are returning to the playbook of divisiveness.

Harris is the first woman, first Black, first Asian-American and first woman of color to be the Vice President of the United States. They are going to drive the notion that she is a ditzy, slut who pretends to be Black and isn't even qualified because her parents are foreign born. They will claim she allowed crime to fester because of the border not being closed.

Tennessee's Gargamel Tim Burchett calls Harris a DEI hire.

Now Republicans are wondering why former president Barack Obama hasn't endorsed her yet. The very same party who attacked him for calling Harris the "best looking" over 10 years ago.

The Republicans see her as "DEI" nominee.

Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) must of forgotten how they treated the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee. I haven't forgotten and Democrats haven't forgotten.

"The media propped up this president, lied to the American people for three years, and then dumped him for our DEI vice president," Burchett said on X.

He also referred to Harris as "a DEI hire" in a brief interview Monday, telling CNN that during the 2020 campaign candidate Joe Biden said “he was going to hire a Black female for vice president.”

“What about white females? What about any other group?” Burchett added.

The wicked witch of Wyoming, Harriett Hageman calls Harris a DEI candidate.

Biden said at a March 2020 Democratic debate that he’d choose a female running mate but did not mention race or ethnicity. Other top running mate contenders at the time included Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Gov. Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan.

Biden announced Sunday that he was dropping his re-election bid.

Joey Mannarino tried to play the role of a Black woman. He was backpedaling after his social media account appeared to claim to be a Black woman attacking Harris, the Democrats' likely nominee for president, and supporting former Trump instead.
"I'm a TRUE Black American and I've been Black all my life," said the post on X, broadcast by the account @JoeyMannarinoUS, whose profile pic confirms he is a white man, and whose biography identifies him as an "Italian-American conservative populist."

"I was born Black and I will die Black," the account wrote. "My mommy Black. My daddy Black. I will NEVER cast a ballot for that Kamala Harris woman as long as I live! Trump all the way, all day every day!"

Harris will face heat for her support of Israel. However, she could change the status quo with the apartheid ethnostate especially with the signal boast of Benjamin Netanyahu attending the U.S. for a Joint Session. If she doesn't attend that may be a small sign.

TV personality Montel Williams dated Harris for two years. The far right wants to paint the vice president and Democratic candidate a slut.

Netanyahu has openly supported Trump. He has been adamant in opposing a ceasefire and is deliberately sabotaging the agreements made to withdraw. The International Court of Justice also ruled that the settlements in the West Banks are illegal. Israel is continuing building despite the decision. The UN is now considering crippling sanctions.

Harris is likely to continue support of Israel. It may be too late to save Palestinians if she changes course if she is elected.

Montel Williams, a former television host and media personality dated Harris for two years. He is supporting her and fighting against MAGA's insults.

Laura Loomer, the ugly mentally ill white supremacist made remarks about Williams, Harris and his daughter.

Williams was quick to reply to Loomer’s accusation. He tweeted in response, “As most of you know, that is my daughter to my right and I’ve asked @LauraLoomer not to target my kids who aren’t public figures. She keeps hiding my tweet.”

Montel Williams warns company that made this offensive hoodie that he will sue.

Williams also welcomed the decision to flag Loomer’s offensive tweet, but chided X boss Elon Musk for allowing messages such as what she wrote on the platform in the first place.

He wrote, “Well, @elonmusk @lindayaX finally put @LauraLoomer in twitter jail. Elon, I love you, but there is a reason you can’t get normal advertisers on this platform — you let behavior like this go on.”

Loomer later said she was “being censored” after X locked her initial tweet. She wrote in part, “Unreal. This is arguably Election interference by big tech. @elonmusk The American people deserve to know about the character flaws of Kamala Harris, which includes her history of sexual affairs with married men and radical leftists who she has dated.”

Ultimately, Loomer blocked him on X. “I really hope you get the help you need. Be well,” Williams wrote, before calling her a “snowflake.”

Misinformation about Harris’ personal life once again began to proliferate on social media in the hours following President Biden’s resignation and endorsement of his vice president.

Meanwhile, Trump was convicted of sexually assaulting author E. Jean Carroll in 2023. In May, the GOP candidate was also convicted of paying adult entertainment star Stormy Daniels with campaign funds to cover up their affair. Harris has been married to Doug Emhoff since 2014.

As I explained earlier. I have my problems with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris on Israel and not taking the low road like Trump. I am expecting that Israel, Russia, Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, ADOS, FBAs, Black separatists, white supremacists and agitators will use every dirty trick in the book.

It's Bad!

Sonya Massey saw the face of her killer.

Tensions rising in Illinois.

While Republicans claim their is no racism in the United States, their presidential nominee is the very definition of white privilege. His running mate is an example of white privilege despite coming from a troubled upbringing. That upbringing didn't show empathy towards others who may endure his situation.

Our country is so divided.

While gun violence is the leading cause of deaths for children and adults, our lawmakers in Washington are more concerned about the current president being able to handle the challenges of a second term.

The second a person of color is killed by police, some of these stories are amplified by Black women, the base of the Democratic Party. If it wasn't for Black women, you wouldn't have heard about George Floyd, Philando Castile or Eric Garner.

The Sangamon County Sheriff's Department released the graphic video of a former deputy shooting Sonya Massey after a routine police call.

Sangamon County has a population of 210,000 residents. It is a midway point between Chicago and St. Louis.

Wow, the Republican leaders of the county actually fear their may be unrest.

They never quit with the dog whistle racism.

The video is so bad, it got President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Gov. J.B. Pritzker, Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL), Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) and the Democratic U.S. lawmakers' attention.

Sangamon County is a Republican county. Trump carried the county in 2016 and 2020 by five points. The largest city is Springfield with a population of 120,000.

Okay, Sonya Massey, a 36-year-old Black American woman, was shot and killed in her home by a deputy of the Sangamon County Sheriff's Office in Springfield, Illinois. The shooting followed a 911 call that Massey herself placed in reference to a "prowler."

This cop should have never been hired. He left five departments.

After (now former) deputy Sean Grayson, the alleged shooter, and another unidentified deputy entered Massey's home following a search of the immediate vicinity, the three engaged in brief conversation surrounding Massey's driver's license and a vehicle in her driveway. After Grayson directed Massey to check on the boiling pot of water on her stove, the exchange quickly escalated, both deputies drew their service pistols, and Grayson allegedly shot Massey three times, killing her. Following the shooting, Grayson was fired from the Sangamon County Sheriff's office and charged with three counts of first-degree murder, among other charges.

Early on the morning of July 6, 2024, Massey called the authorities as she believed that someone had broken into her home. Two deputies, Grayson and the second unidentified deputy, responded and subsequently searched Massey's backyard and the immediate vicinity of her property. Finding no evidence of any suspicious activity or persons, the officers approached Massey's front door and Grayson knocked multiple times to no avail. After approximately three minutes, Massey opened the door and engaged in conversation with the deputies. The deputies informed Grayson that they hadn't found anything of note in their search while Grayson used her cell phone. As the deputies prepared to end the exchange, the unidentified officer walked around the side of Massey's house to report the license plate number of a vehicle in her driveway that Massey informed deputies was not hers. Massey and Grayson continued to engage in conversation. After the unidentified officer walked back to Massey's front door, the three enter Massey's residence.

The cop claimed Massey attacked him with hot water.

Inside the home, Grayson repeatedly asked Grayson to provide her driver's license and discussed the vehicle parked in her driveway. As the unidentified deputy looked around the residence, Massey can be seen looking through a small stack of papers and her purse. At one point, Massey asks Grayson to hand her a Bible. After around a minute and a half of searching, the deputies mention a pot of water boiling on Massey's stove and request that she check on it, as they "don't need a fire while we're here." After Massey picks up the pot of water and walks from her stove to her sink, the unidentified deputy and Massey move backwards. Massey asks the officers what they're doing; Grayson replies that he's going away from her pot of hot, boiling water. Massey repeats her statement, and says, "I'll rebuke you in the name of Jesus."

After Massey repeats her statement at Grayson's prompting, Grayson draws his gun and replies, "You better fucking not, I swear to God I'll fucking shoot you right in your fucking face." The unidentified deputy also draws his gun. Massey immediately apologizes and drops to the floor, however both deputies advance from the living room towards the kitchen with their weapons trained on Massey. After several seconds of shouting orders to Massey for her to drop the pot of water, Grayson fires three shots at Massey, mortally wounding her. The unidentified deputy radios that shots had been fired and that there was a woman with a headshot wound. They begin to leave to grab their medical kit, however Grayson tells them not to, saying that, "she's done." Massey was later pronounced dead at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

As they were getting their stories together, Grayson called Massey, a "

Body-camera footage of the shooting was released July 22.

The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

To all the Black firearm owners who support the Second Amendment or former president Donald J. Trump in the 2024 presidential race, I just want to say...

"YOU'RE GONNA BE SHOT BY POLICE TOO!"

The National Rifle Association never reacts to lawful exercise of firearm use when a Black, Hispanic, Arab, Muslim, Indigenous, LGBTQ or underage teen of color is carrying them.

It is automatic dehumanizing from the far right, police unions and the junk food media.

When white men, women or even some Asians are carrying firearms, the NRA is often parading them around like they're heroes and protectors of freedom.

In about 45 states, I believe it is lawful for you to walk down a street with a firearm.

If you're a Black man walking down the street with a firearm, the random 911 call or the visual spotting from a police officer merits an automatic drawl of a service weapon.

Police officers within seconds are either shooting or premeditated an excuse to use force.

The unions back up their claims of "fearing for their lives" despite the perpetrator not even firing a round. Given that the junk food media loves to paint the aggressor as the victim, the police officer is given the benefit of doubt. The person police shot usually do not get any ounce of doubt. A mugshot of a suspect or a picture of a person posing with money or firearms automatically draws far right conclusions to justification of force.

Enough is enough.

Even fleeing from police with a firearm and not even pointing at them results in police shootings.

If a person does survive, the state still charges the person for a crime despite the state allowing open carry and lawful possession.

So I just want to say that the Second Amendment is White, period.

A bullet does not care about color. We all bleed red and so many lives are lost to gun violence and Republicans offer no solutions other than "thoughts and prayers" with a touch of "lock em up."

Gun violence is the number one threat in the United States.

I dismiss this ridiculous notion that criminals are the problem, not the guns. Firearms are often obtained through legal purchases.

Again, having more security, teachers being armed and offering safe rooms are not solving the problem. The problem is lawmakers not willing to stop gun violence.

According to the far rightWhite shooters are mentally ill. Black shooters are unrepentant thugs and criminals. Gay shooters are active groomers. Muslim shooters are terrorists. Hispanic and Asian shooters are illegal immigrants. According to the far right, almost all mass shooters are registered Democrats because they have liked or done one thing common to the left. Of course, they often share disinformation by using the "Sam Hyde" meme or make bogus social media platforms with the shooter's image as a way to denounce most mass shooters being white or associated with conservative causes. They say a white person should "protect" themselves from protesters and use of firearms are "justified" if they come to a protest to instigate conflict. They say if a shooter is active military or a veteran who supports conservative causes, they are considered a "heroes" and use of firearms are justified. If the shooters are teens, the far right automatically assume the gunmen are Black.

The Republicans usually amplify white victims. Anytime a person of color kills a white victim, it is often wall-to-wall coverage on Fox, Twitter and they force it into national news. They make the case to blame Black Lives Matter, Barack Obama, Kamala Harris, Democrats, Rev. Al Sharpton and rap music for Black on whatever violence. Republican lawmakers who do not live in urban neighborhoods often troll social media to talk about gun violence or crime in Chicago, Baltimore, Milwaukee and New York City while not doing a damn thing to stop it. If a white person shoots a Black person, the shooter is given the benefit of doubt. White shooters are given glowing profiles about their perfect lives and how friends noticed something but refused to do something. When it comes to Black shooters, automatic vilification. They don't see mental illness. They see it as gang violence, allegedly fatherless homes, Democratic policies or the need for more firearms. The far right and Republicans exploit gun violence in the Black community for culture wars and racism.

So in closing, expect more.

The website Officer Down is a memorial to those police officers who were killed in the line of duty. Those victims who don't get their names or accomplishments mentioned in the junk food media. Also the website the National Gun Violence Memorial also keeps record of the many individuals killed by gun violence. We are tracking police violence as well.

Let them know that "thoughts and prayers," "hearts going to" and "good guys with guns" are no longer acceptable and you want legislation to curb gun violence. Let them know that we are tired of police officers using immunity when committing death of suspects in custody. Let them know that you are tired of private equity firms getting away with destroying small businesses and long established companies. Let them know that you are tired of your taxpayer money going to foreign nations like Israel. Let them know you are very tired of your lawmakers embarrassing themselves in the media. You are tired of your lawmakers always being outside their district or state. You elected them to serve their districts and state, not travel across the country or to foreign countries on your taxpayer dollars. You are tired of hearing about "Israel having a right to..." and the bogus claims of being anti-semitic or in support of terrorism. You want an immediate ceasefire and accountability for war crimes done by Israel. You want no more foreign influence in American elections. You also want to make sure future presidents and lawmakers avoid influence from lobbyists.

Junk Food Media, Let's Talk About Old Man Trump!

Old man.

Turn about is far play.

After surviving an assassination attempt, folks should be calling for the former president to step aside for the good of the country. I mean he is a convicted felon as well as a liable sexual predator and fraudster.

He is also old too.

So I guess now we gonna start talking about his age too.

President Joe Biden has stepped aside. He endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party nominee for president. Sen. Joe Manchin (I-WV) was consideing challenging her for the nomination. He backed out for now. He is the self destructive member who stalled Build Back Better, vowed to oppose Biden nominees and worked with Republicans along with Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ). Both are retiring and Democrats are fucking glad they are. Democrats are tired of Manchin, Sinema, Sen. Bob Menendez (I-NJ) and Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) fucking up the agenda.

Now that Biden is out, the junk food media will no longer focus on his age, his gaffes, his stuttering, Tara Reade, Hunter Biden and various other conspiracy theories. You will no longer hear Sean "Softball" Hannity talk about the "sippy cup Joe" or pretend to be concerned about Biden's cognitive abilities.

Now the annoying agitator will zero in on Harris. He will question her race, gender, her accomplishments, her laughing and try to use the "Kamala is a Cop" while attacking her for the border. Any rapper who endorses her will be criticized.

Again the border is safe and it is white nationalist propaganda to describe the U.S.-Mexican border. Conservatives had a problem when Jay-Z, Common and LL Cool J were at Barack Obama and Joe Biden events. No problems when Kanye West, Kodak Black, Sharif G, Forgiato Blow, Vanilla Ice, Sleepy Hallow and Ray J attending Donald J. Trump events.

The far right will resort to the she is not authentically Black talking point, her laughing, her dancing, her accomplishments as vice president and the claims the Democrats are cheating.
Trump is apparently fearing Harris. Now that Biden is out, he can't attack Harris the way he went at the president. He can't called her crooked or sleepy. He can't do much other than say her name incorrectly. He may revisit the birther conspiracy stuff.

Trump has the backing of sexual predators like Elon Musk, Rupert Murdoch, Hulk Hogan, Roger Stone, Bill O'Reilly and Kodak Black.

Can't claim that Harris is protecting criminals when he is a convicted criminal himself.

Now that the Republican National Convention is over, Trump and Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) are on the campaign trail, Harris must win the trust of Democrats who stabbed Biden in the back.

What the Republicans gonna do? Kamala Harris ain't no dummy.

Trump, 78 is the oldest Republican candidate to run for president. Will the junk food media start wondering whether he is too old to be president?

I mean he is obsessed with Hanibal Lecter. He constantly rambling off teleprompter.

He is now threatening to pull out the ABC debate he agreed to. Is the junk food media going to question whether Trump is old or be sympathetic because he was nearly assassinated?

The Trump campaign in May agreed to two presidential debates in the run-up to the November election. The first, on June 27, was disastrous for Biden and ultimately led to the end of his campaign. The second is set to be held on Sept. 10 and broadcast on ABC News

He is trying to back out the debate.

Expect the bitches.

You will hear noise from Nikki Haley, Tulsi Gabbard, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, Candace Owens, Laura Ingraham, Jeanine Pirro, Andrea Mitchell, Nina Turner, Terrence K. Williams, Rochelle "Silk" Hardaway, Tomi Lahren, Michelle Malkin, Laura Loomer, Caitlyn Jenner, Kyrstal Ball-Kulinski, Briahna Joy Gray and Chaya Raichik.

Democrats Are Their Own Worst Enemy!

It's Kamala or nothing. All in for MVP.

I'm mad.

Mad as hell and I am not going to take it.

I will do all I can to help Kamala Devi Harris win the 2024 Democratic Party nomination and the 2024 presidential election. I am not going to stand back and allow the junk food media, white Democrats and political agitators get Donald J. Trump and J.D. Vance the White House.

It's on now.

On Sunday, President Joe Biden announced he is dropping out of the race after pressure from party leaders and donors. It was the type of defeatist attitude that broke the Democratic Party in 1968. He quickly endorsed the vice president.

Herbert Humphrey was the nominee after Robert F. Kennedy, Sr. was killed. The Civil Rights Movement, the Vietnam War and white resentment led to a fractured Democratic National Convention in 1968. He lost to Richard Nixon.

Nixon became the poster child of corruption in the Republican Party.

Trump became the leading figure of white privilege, corruption and deplorable behavior.

Already the racial attacks and the misinformation against Harris are happening. The questioning of her Blackness is already being discussed by Black separatists and far right agitators.

Biden, 81 was capable of beating Trump. The junk food media focusing on his terrible debate performance, him catching COVID and his stuttering.

Biden’s historic endorsement — and Harris’s pledge to unite the party behind her —came Sunday after he announced that he is dropping his reelection bid following weeks of disarray within the Democratic Party. The president’s disastrous debate called into question his ability to win a second term and govern for another four years.

“My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term. My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee,” Biden said.

Still, despite the president’s backing, it remains unclear if Harris will become the nominee, or what process the Democratic Party would take to select an alternative. It will now be up to the delegates to the party’s national convention to choose their candidate. While Harris allies have sought to secure her path to the nomination, some Democrats have stopped short of backing her or explicitly called for an open nomination process.

Democratic National Committee chairman Jaime Harrison said in a statement that in the coming days the party will “undertake a transparent and orderly process to move forward as a united Democratic Party with a candidate who can defeat Donald Trump in November.”

Logistically, Harris is the natural heir to the ticket as Biden’s running mate.

BREAKING: Biden Out!

Good luck Democrats. I hope y'all win.

President Joe Biden announced on social media that he is leaving the 2024 presidential race in an announcement on X. Democrats made a huge mistake and now it likely that Donald J. Trump and J.D. Vance have an advantage.

Trump has 53% chance of winning.

After weeks of calls to drop out of the race, Biden has announced he will not run for re-election.

The announcement comes about one month before the Democratic National Convention begins and just over 100 days until Election Day.

As late as Friday afternoon, Biden was adamant that he would return to the campaign trail after testing positive for COVID-19.

The health concern was the latest in a series of events that put pressure on Biden’s bid for president.

The first presidential debate in June revealed a candidate who, according to CNN, was “hoarse and displaying little vocal range, was often unable to express his differences with Trump with clarity.”

After the debate, Biden, 81, participated in several media interviews to try to assuage doubts that he has the vigor needed to beat former President Donald Trump.

But missteps and “Bidenisms” have hampered efforts by the Biden campaign to calm the nerves of even the strongest Democratic supporters, especially donors.

As Trump took the stage at the Republican National Convention, Biden was self-isolating in his Delaware home, having testing positive for coronavirus mere days after the attempted assassination of Trump.

One Democratic governor told his aides on Thursday, “This can’t go on much longer,” CNN reported.

California Rep. Nancy Pelosi is among prominent Democrats who doubt Biden could win, The New York Times reported. Pelosi’s spokesperson did not deny that the former Speaker of the House showed the president data that shows a Biden win is unlikely.

New York's Sen. Chuck Schumer and Rep. Hakeem Jeffries each have told Biden in private of their concerns not only about Biden’s chances but also about down-ballot races for House and Senate.

By Thursday, sources told The Times, some people close to Biden said he showed signs of warming to the idea that he should drop out and that he may not win in November.

A virtual DNC vote had been scheduled to officially nominate Biden before the convention, but the convention rules committee said “no virtual voting will begin before August 1,” CNN reported.

Years of planning will now be moot and Democratic delegates will need to rally around a new candidate in August, with mere months to go until the election.

While Biden can endorse another candidate to be his successor, once he releases his pledged delegates they are free to nominate whoever they see fit at an open convention.

Vice President Kamala Harris will be a top contender and could offer continuity, and she has been polling well in a potential matchup against Trump. Other candidates could include California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg and past hopefuls like Sens. Cory Booker (N.J.) and Amy Klobuchar (Minn.).

What Happened To Sonya Massey?

She called for a prowler and ended up dead by Illinois cops.

While Republicans claim their is no racism in the United States, their presidential nominee is the very definition of white privilege. His running mate is an example of white privilege despite coming from a troubled upbringing. That upbringing didn't show empathy towards others who may endure his situation.

There is an incident that was getting national attention before the Trump assassination attempt. It happened in Illinois and it involved a downstate sheriff's deputy and a Black mother.

J.B. Pritzker, the Democratic governor of the state said this is one of the most reckless decisions that former officer made in his career.

Two Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a Springfield, Illinois, residence at about 12:50 a.m. to investigate a prowler, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office obtained by ABC News.

“At approximately 1:21 a.m., the Deputies reported that shots had been fired, resulting in a female being struck by gunfire,” according to the sheriff's statement. “Deputies immediately administered first aid until EMS arrived. The woman was transported to St. John’s Hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased. No deputies were injured during the incident.”

Sonya Massey, 36, was pronounced dead at 1:47 a.m. on Saturday after being transported to an area hospital, Jim Allmon, Sangamon County Coroner, told ABC News in a statement.

“An autopsy was performed, and preliminary findings show Ms. Massey died from a gunshot wound,” Allmon’s statement said. “The death remains under investigation by the Illinois State Police and the Sangamon County Coroner.”

The Illinois State Police (ISP), who have taken over the investigation, told ABC News in a statement that they would not yet share body camera footage “to protect the integrity of the legal process and the right to a fair trial in the event charges are filed.”

The sheriff’s office told ABC News in a statement that it requested that the ISP conduct an independent investigation into the incident.

“ISP is collaborating closely with the Sangamon County State's Attorney's Office to conduct a timely, comprehensive, and transparent investigation,” according to a statement by the state police.

Civil rights attorney Ben Crump, who Massey’s family has retained as legal counsel, says Massey was shot and killed in her own home after calling 911 to report an intruder. ABC News has been unable to independently verify this information.

“It is extremely hard to imagine how a woman who calls the police out of fear of an intruder ends up shot in the head by the police at her own home,” Crump said in a statement to ABC News. “We demand that all body camera footage from this incident be released immediately so that Sonya’s family and the public can see what happened in those 30 deadly minutes.”

Supporters of the family held a protest in Springfield, Illinois, on Friday demanding justice and accountability in Massey’s death.

White Illinois deputy faces criminal charges.

John Milhiser, the Sangamon County state attorney, indicted former deputy Sean Grayson discharged his firearm inside Massey's home, striking her. He added the review of the case "does not support a finding that (Grayson) was justified in his use of deadly force."

Grayson has been indicted on three counts of First Degree Murder, Aggravated Battery with a Firearm and Official Misconduct.

Grayson was denied bail during Thursday’s arraignment. Court documents filed by prosecutors say Massey was allowed to remove a boiling pot from her stove. But then the deputy, in an adjacent room, threatened to shoot her – demanding she put the pot down. The account says he then shot at her three times, wounding her in the face.

Grayson, the documents said, had failed to turn his body camera on until after the shots were fired,. But the incident was captured on the other deputies’ camera.

Prosecutors say the other deputy provided first aid until an ambulance arrived – despite Grayson telling him not to do so because of the severity of the injury.

The Illinois State Police took over the investigation. The agency indicated the delay in releasing video was done to protect the integrity of the legal process and the right to a fair trial, in the event charges were filed.

Springfield mayor Misty Buscher and Gov. J.B. Pritzker condemned the deputy.

Dr. Ruth Passed Away!

Sex advice and wittiness, Dr. Ruth passed away.

The famous sex and mental health therapist Dr. Ruth Westheimer has passed away.

Ruth Westheimer, the diminutive sex therapist who became a pop icon, media star and best-selling author through her frank talk about once-taboo bedroom topics, has died. She was 96.

Westheimer died on Friday at her home in New York City, surrounded by her family, according to publicist and friend Pierre Lehu.

Westheimer never advocated risky sexual behavior. Instead, she encouraged an open dialogue on previously closeted issues that affected her audience of millions. Her one recurring theme was there was nothing to be ashamed of.

“I still hold old-fashioned values and I’m a bit of a square,” she told students at Michigan City High School in 2002. “Sex is a private art and a private matter. But still, it is a subject we must talk about.”

Westheimer’s giggly, German-accented voice, coupled with her 4-foot-7 frame, made her an unlikely looking — and sounding — outlet for “sexual literacy.” The contradiction was one of the keys to her success.

But it was her extensive knowledge and training, coupled with her humorous, nonjudgmental manner, that catapulted her local radio program, “Sexually Speaking,” into the national spotlight in the early 1980s. She had an open approach to what two consenting adults did in the privacy of their home.

“Tell him you’re not going to initiate,” she told a concerned caller in June 1982. “Tell him that Dr. Westheimer said that you’re not going to die if he doesn’t have sex for one week.”

As a sign of her appeal across the generations and social culture, tributes came from actor-comedian Adam Sandler — “She always made us smile,” he wrote on X — to New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, who appointed Westheimer the state’s Ambassador of Loneliness. “May her memory be a blessing,” said the governor in a statement. ”She was brave, funny, candid and brilliant.”

Her radio success opened new doors, and in 1983 she wrote the first of more than 40 books: “Dr. Ruth’s Guide to Good Sex,” demystifying sex with both rationality and humor. There was even a board game, Dr. Ruth’s Game of Good Sex.

She soon became a regular on the late-night television talk-show circuit, bringing her personality to the national stage. Her rise coincided with the early days of the AIDS epidemic, when frank sexual talk became a necessity.

“If we could bring about talking about sexual activity the way we talk about diet — the way we talk about food — without it having this kind of connotation that there’s something not right about it, then we would be a step further. But we have to do it with good taste,” she told Johnny Carson in 1982.

She normalized the use of words like “penis” and “vagina” on radio and TV, aided by her Jewish grandmotherly accent, which The Wall Street Journal once said was “a cross between Henry Kissinger and Minnie Mouse.” People magazine included her in their list of “The Most Intriguing People of the Century.” She even made it into a Shania Twain song: “No, I don’t need proof to show me the truth/Not even Dr. Ruth is gonna tell me how I feel.”

Westheimer defended abortion rights, suggested older people have sex after a good night’s sleep and was an outspoken advocate of condom use. She believed in monogamy.

In the 1980s, she stood up for gay men at the height of the AIDS epidemic and spoke out loudly for the LGBTQ community. She said she defended people deemed by some far-right Christians to be “subhuman” because of her own past.

Born Karola Ruth Siegel in Frankfurt, Germany, in 1928, she was an only child. At 10, she was sent by her parents to Switzerland to escape Kristallnacht — the Nazis’ 1938 pogrom that served as a precursor to the Holocaust. She never saw her parents again; Westheimer believed they were killed in the gas chambers at Auschwitz.

At the age of 16, she moved to Palestine and joined the Haganah, the underground movement for Israeli independence. She was trained as a sniper, although she said she never shot at anyone.

Her legs were severely wounded when a bomb exploded in her dormitory, killing many of her friends. She said it was only through the work of a “superb” surgeon that she could walk and ski again.

She married her first husband, an Israeli soldier, in 1950, and they moved to Paris as she pursued an education. Although not a high school graduate, Westheimer was accepted into the Sorbonne to study psychology after passing an entrance exam.

The marriage ended in 1955; the next year, Westheimer went to New York with her new boyfriend, a Frenchman who became her second husband and father to her daughter, Miriam.

In 1961, after a second divorce, she finally met her life partner: Manfred Westheimer, a fellow refugee from Nazi Germany. The couple was married and had a son, Joel. They remained wed for 36 years until “Fred” — as she called him — died of heart failure in 1997.

After receiving her doctorate in education from Columbia University, she went on to teach at Lehman College in the Bronx. While there she developed a specialty — instructing professors how to teach sex education. It would eventually become the core of her curriculum.

“I soon realized that while I knew enough about education, I did not really know enough about sex,” she wrote in her 1987 autobiography. Westheimer then decided take classes with the renowned sex therapist, Dr. Helen Singer Kaplan.

It was there that she had discovered her calling. Soon, as she once said in a typically folksy comment, she was dispensing sexual advice “like good chicken soup.”

“I came from an Orthodox Jewish home so sex for us Jews was never considered a sin,” she told The Guardian in 2019.

In 1984, her radio program was nationally syndicated. A year later, she debuted in her own television program, “The Dr. Ruth Show,” which went on to win an Ace Award for excellence in cable television.

She also wrote a nationally syndicated advice column and later appeared in a line of videos produced by Playboy, preaching the virtues of open sexual discourse and good sex. She even had a series of calendars.

Her rise was noteworthy for the culture of the time, in which then-President Ronald Reagan’s administration was hostile to Planned Parenthood and aligned with pro-conservative voices.

Phyllis Schlafly, a staunch anti-feminist, wrote in a 1999 piece “The Dangers of Sex Education,” that Westheimer, as well as Gloria Steinem, Anita Hill, Madonna, Ellen DeGeneres and others were promoting “provocative sex chatter” and “rampant immorality.”

Father Edwin O’Brien, the director of communications for the Catholic archdiocese of New York who would go on to become a cardinal, called her work upsetting and morally compromised.

“It’s pure hedonism,” O’Brien wrote in a 1982 opinion published by The Wall Street Journal. “The message is just indulge yourself; whatever feels good is good. There is no higher law of overriding morality, and there’s also no responsibility.”

Westheimer made appearances on “The Howard Stern Radio Show,” “Nightline,” “The Tonight Show,” “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” “The Dr. Oz Show” and “Late Night with David Letterman.” She played herself in episodes of “Quantum Leap” and “Love Boat: The Next Wave.”

Her books include “Sex for Dummies,” her autobiographical works “All in a Lifetime” (1987) and “Musically Speaking: A Life through Song” (2003). The documentary “Ask Dr. Ruth” aired in 2019.

During her time as a radio and television personality, she remained committed to teaching, with posts at Yale, Hunter, Princeton and Columbia universities and a busy college lecture schedule. She also maintained a private practice throughout her life.

Westheimer received an honorary doctorate from Hebrew Union College-Institute of Religion for her work in human sexuality and her commitment to the Jewish people, Israel and religion. In 2001 she received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor and the Leo Baeck Medal, and in 2004, she received the degree of Doctor of Letters, honoris causa, from Trinity College.

Ryan White, the director of “Ask Dr. Ruth,” told Vice in 2019 that Westheimer was never someone following trends. She was always an ally of gay rights and an advocate for family planning.

“She was at the forefront of both of those things throughout her entire life. I met her friends from her orphanage saying even when she met gay people throughout her life in the ’30s, ’40s, and ’50s she was always accepting of those people and always saying that people should be treated with respect.”

She is survived by two children, Joel and Miriam, and four grandchildren.
