Amber Rose To Speak At GOP Convention!

Not a cult, right?

Amber Levonchuck, known professionally as Amber Rose, will speak at the Republican National Convention in the coming week. The media personality famously for the Slut Walks endorsed former president Donald J. Trump shocking women's rights groups.

The media personality announced she will speak at the convention in Milwaukee.
Amber Rose has ties to Ye [Kanye West], Machine Gun Kelly, 21 Savage, Alexander Edwards and Wiz Khalifa.

Amber has two children. Wiz has a son named Sebastian and Edwards has a son namer Slash.

The media personality was once a harsh critic of Trump. She said that she had a "wake up call" and totally denounced her past support for issues that align with progressives.

“It’s True! I’m speaking at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee,” the “How to Be a Bad Bitch” author, who was born Amber Rose Levonchuck, wrote to her 3.5 million followers on the social platform X on Monday.

Forgiato Blow filmed a video in Florida featuring Trump supporting allies Vanilla Ice and Amber Rose. The Proud Boy rapper is the "Mayor of MAGAville". He is under federal watch for his participation in Jan. 6.

A representative for the convention, which kicks off next Monday in Wisconsin, and one for Rose didn’t reply to ITK’s request for comment.

Earlier Monday, former President Trump’s campaign and the Republican National Committee (RNC) released its convention program, saying while it would “highlight Republican leaders, supporters, industry leaders, and pop culture icons,” the “real stars of the convention are everyday Americans.”

The 40-year-old performer — who founded her eponymous “SlutWalk,” which aims to “combat women’s equality issues” — has been a vocal Trump supporter in recent months.

In a June video, Rose sported a red hat emblazoned with the pro-Trump “Make America Great Again” slogan, “MAGA,” along with a gold necklace featuring an oversized pendant of the ex-president’s head.

“I’m engaged to the game … MAGA baby,” she said, as she flashed a “MAGA” ring to the camera.

More Bloodshed: Mass Shooting In Detroit!

A block party on Sunday turns fatal.

The last mass shooting happened in the Cincinnati, Ohio suburb of Florence, Kentucky.

Mass shootings so far:
  • Milwaukee, Wisconsin
  • Akron, Ohio
  • Florence, Kentucky
  • Poughkeepsie, New York
  • Albany, New York (2)
  • Pontiac, Michigan
  • Tampa, Florida
  • Chicago, Illinois (3)
  • Nashville, Tennessee
  • St. Louis, Missouri (2)
  • Ocean Springs, Mississippi
  • Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (2)
  • Taneytown, Maryland
  • Fort Worth, Texas (2)
  • Indianapolis, Indiana
  • Charleston, Missouri
  • Cincinnati, Ohio
  • Sylvania, Georgia
  • Sharpsburg, Georgia
  • Niagara Falls, New York
  • Crete, Nebraska
Now the latest mass shooting at a block party/pool patry was in Detroit. By the way, we are still talking about the presidential debate and replacing the Democratic Party presumptive nominee. Instead of focusing on gun violence, Israel, the Supreme Court and the upcoming NATO summit.

President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI), Sen. Gary Peters (D-MI) and the U.S. Representatives of Michigan were notified about this.

Now expect the far right to use this as a wedge issue. Since Detroit has a 70% Black population, the outlets like The Daily Mail, The New York Post and Fox will not give glowing profiles of the victims or the shooter.

The Daily Mail labeled the Florence, Kentucky mass shooter, a "baby face shooter."

That gives the impression that the shooter was a victim as well.

Anyway, Detroit Metro Police confirm that two people were killed and 19 injured in this deadly shooting. Mayor Mike Duggin and Chief James White are angry about this. They call upon lawmakers to do something about gun violence.

Police said a Monday news conference with White and Duggan would detail a “comprehensive new strategy regarding block parties.”

Detroit Police deal with a deadly mass shooting.

Michigan State Police said no one was in custody and they were assisting Detroit police with the investigation, according to a post on the social media platform X. The agency said their preliminary information showed two people died and 19 others had “various injuries.”

Detroit police released few details, confirming the shooting on a residential block on Detroit’s east side left two people dead. But a police statement Sunday afternoon did not specify the number of people injured or the circumstances of the shooting.

“At this time, investigators and forensic personnel are analyzing all available evidence and will be continuing their work through the weekend,” police said in a Sunday statement.

Detroit Police Cpl. Dan Donakowski, a department spokesman, declined further comment. Duggan’s spokesman John Roach said the mayor would be at Monday’s news conference about “block club party safety strategy” but declined to comment on the shooting.

The shooting comes amid a violent holiday weekend nationwide. Violence and mass shootings often surge in the summer months, especially around the Fourth of July. Researchers say the reason is a combination of factors, including more social events and more alcohol consumption.

State Rep. Mai Xiong, who represents the district where the shooting took place, said she was “heartbroken.”

“During what should have been a joyous celebration during Independence Day weekend, we are instead faced with a devastating reminder that gun violence is hitting too close to home, right in our own backyards,” she said in a statement.

Michigan is an open carry state.

The U.S. Congress is by far the most laziest in modern history. They are willing to take away freedoms when it comes to using phones, protesting, driving, women's rights, voting rights and social media. When it comes to an actual threat to safety, say firearms, they refuse to pass even meaningful legislation to curb it.

Far right lawmakers like Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) will hop on social media talking about it but not doing a damn thing to stop it.

To all the Black firearm owners who support the Second Amendment or former president Donald J. Trump in the 2024 presidential race, I just want to say...

"YOU'RE GONNA BE SHOT BY POLICE TOO!"

The National Rifle Association never reacts to lawful exercise of firearm use when a Black, Hispanic, Arab, Muslim, Indigenous, LGBTQ or underage teen of color is carrying them.

It is automatic dehumanizing from the far right, police unions and the junk food media.

When white men, women or even some Asians are carrying firearms, the NRA is often parading them around like they're heroes and protectors of freedom.

In about 45 states, I believe it is lawful for you to walk down a street with a firearm.

Detroit Metro Police chief James White and city mayor Mike Duggin are calling for an end to gun violence and illegal block parties.

If you're a Black man walking down the street with a firearm, the random 911 call or the visual spotting from a police officer merits an automatic drawl of a service weapon.

Police officers within seconds are either shooting or premeditated an excuse to use force.

The unions back up their claims of "fearing for their lives" despite the perpetrator not even firing a round. Given that the junk food media loves to paint the aggressor as the victim, the police officer is given the benefit of doubt. The person police shot usually do not get any ounce of doubt. A mugshot of a suspect or a picture of a person posing with money or firearms automatically draws far right conclusions to justification of force.

Even fleeing from police with a firearm and not even pointing at them results in police shootings.

If a person does survive, the state still charges the person for a crime despite the state allowing open carry and lawful possession.

So I just want to say that the Second Amendment is White, period.

A bullet does not care about color. We all bleed red and so many lives are lost to gun violence and Republicans offer no solutions other than "thoughts and prayers" with a touch of "lock em up."

Gun violence is the number one threat in the United States.

I dismiss this ridiculous notion that criminals are the problem, not the guns. Firearms are often obtained through legal purchases.

The Daily Mail is a far right trash tabloid. They gave a white mass shooter a glowing profile. The Detroit mass shooting will be certainly labeling the shooters as thugs and somehow Biden's fault.

Again, having more security, teachers being armed and offering safe rooms are not solving the problem. The problem is lawmakers not willing to stop gun violence.

According to the far rightWhite shooters are mentally ill. Black shooters are unrepentant criminals. Gay shooters are active groomers. Muslim shooters are terrorists. Hispanic and Asian shooters are illegal immigrants. Almost all mass shooters are registered Democrats because they have liked one thing common to the left. Of course, they often share disinformation by using the "Sam Hyde" meme as a way to denounce most mass shooters being white. They say a white person should "protect" from protesters and use of firearms are justified. They say if a shooter is active military or a veteran who supports conservative causes, they are considered a "heroes" and use of firearms are justified. If the shooters are teens, the far right automatically assume the gunmen are Black.

The Republicans usually amplify white victims. Anytime a person of color kills a white victim, it is often wall-to-wall coverage on Fox, Twitter and they force it into national news. They make the case to blame Black Lives Matter, Barack Obama, Kamala Harris, Democrats, Rev. Al Sharpton and rap music for Black on whatever violence. Republican lawmakers who do not live in urban neighborhoods often troll social media to talk about gun violence or crime in Chicago, Baltimore, Milwaukee and New York City while not doing a damn thing to stop it. If a white person shoots a Black person, the shooter is given the benefit of doubt. White shooters are given glowing profiles about their perfect lives and how friends noticed something but refused to do something. When it comes to Black shooters, automatic vilification. They don't see mental illness. They see it as gang violence, allegedly fatherless homes, Democratic policies or the need for more firearms. The far right and Republicans exploit gun violence in the Black community for culture wars and racism.

So in closing, expect more.

Khyree Jackson Passed Away!

Khyree Jackson was tragically killed in a car crash.

The 4th of July weekend is the most dangerous time for motorists.

Khyree Jackson was selected to play for the Minnesota Vikings. His dream were to play for the NFL and build a career for himself and his family.

While in his hometown of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Jackson and two of his high school friends were killed in a traffic accident. The incident is under investigation and the Maryland State Police will determine whether speed, alcohol or not wearing a seatbelts play a role in their deaths.

Jackson, along with two of his former high school teammates, was killed in a car crash in Prince George's County, Maryland in the early morning hours of July 6, 2024 when another driver attempted to change lanes at a high speed and struck the vehicle in which Jackson was a passenger.

The other two occupants — Isaiah Hazel, 23, and Anthony Lytton, Jr., 24 — also died.

Hazel, who played college football at Maryland and Charlotte, was driving. Lytton, who played for Florida State and Penn State, was riding in the back seat.

Per the release, the preliminary investigation shows that the driver of another car “attempted to change lanes while driving at a high rate of speed when she struck the Dodge Charger and then struck [a] Chevrolet Impala.”

The impact forced the Charger off the road, where it “struck multiple tree stumps.

Someone sold the Fox outlet TMZ the graphic photos of the vehicle being destroyed.

It's pathetic that the tabloid is trying to exploit tragedy for profit.

Three men lose their lives to a drunk driver.

Born in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Jackson attended Wise High School. In Jackson's senior season, he made 39 catches for 612 yards and 12 touchdowns. After graduating in 2017, Jackson attended Arizona Western College to play college football but returned to Maryland after becoming homesick. He later worked at a local Harris Teeter grocery store, where he earned employee of the month honors. Before his return to football, Jackson contemplated pursuing a professional career as a NBA 2K League player. After two years outside of football, Jackson decided to attend Fort Scott Community College in 2019.

All three victims were occupants of a maroon Dodge Charger involved in the crash. Hazel was the driver.  Jackson was the front seat passenger and Lytton was seated in the rear of the vehicle.

Shortly after 3:14 a.m. this morning, troopers from the Forestville Barrack responded to a crash on northbound Route 4/Pennsylvania Avenue and Presidential Parkway north of Dower House Road in Upper Marlboro. The three vehicles involved in the crash were a silver Infinity Q50, a silver Chevrolet Impala and a maroon Dodge Charger.

Unconfirmed photo of alleged drunk driver.

The preliminary investigation indicates the driver of the silver Infiniti, later identified as Cori Clingman, 23, of Upper Marlboro, was traveling northbound on Route 4/Pennsylvania Avenue in Prince George’s County.  Investigators believe Clingman attempted to change lanes while driving at a high rate of speed when she struck the Dodge Charger and then struck the Chevrolet Impala. The Charger subsequently traveled off of the right side of the roadway and struck multiple tree stumps where the vehicle came to rest.

Clingman had two other passengers in her Infinity at the time of the crash. No one was injured in her vehicle.

The Chevrolet Impala was occupied solely by the driver. He was also uninjured in the crash and refused medical treatment at the scene.

Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration personnel assisted with road closures. The northbound lanes of Route 4/Pennsylvania Road were reopened at 10:20 a.m. today.

Investigators believe alcohol may have been a contributing circumstance in the crash.

Charges are pending the investigation and consultation with the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office. The Maryland State Police Crash Team is leading the investigation.

North Carolina GOP Guv Candidate Believes It's God's Will To Kill Dems!

Foghorn Leghorn.

Black Republican and far right extremist Mark Robinson is the current lieutenant governor of North Carolina. He serves as a loyal obstructionist to Democratic governor Roy Cooper.

Robinson is the nominee for the Republican as he makes a bid for governor. He is facing against Democratic Attorney General Josh Stein, the Democratic nominee for governor.

Robinson is down by three points and it is a hotly contested race. With President Joe Biden and former president Donald J. Trump on the ballot as well, the state is very important for both parties.

Robinson is a pastor similar to Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA).

As a Baptist, Robinson speaks the language of chaos if you don't repent sins.

Robinson made national news for his controversial comments in a church speech again this week.

Robinson gave a speech about freedom on June 30 at Lake Church in Bladen County, where the pastor is also a county commissioner. Robinson was talking in the context of World War II at first, but then references police, too, and not just war when he talks about fighting “wicked people.”

In speech about freedom ‘slipping away,’ Mark Robinson talks about ‘wicked people,’ killing

I watched the church’s two-hour long livestream of the service that includes Robinson’s full speech and a sitdown conversation with the pastor who said the devil is behind President Joe Biden. My story also includes reaction from Robinson’s campaign, Stein’s campaign and the White House.

Robinson with wife, daughter, son-in-law and son.

In referring to progressives, Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and Democrats, Robinson said some people needed "killing."

“There’s a time when we used to meet evil on the battlefield,” Robinson says in the speech, which was delivered at The Lake Church in North Carolina. “And guess what we did to it? We killed it. We didn’t quibble about it. We didn’t argue about it. We didn’t fight about it. We killed it.”

Robinson then referred to the U.S. response to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. He also referred to the U.S. response to Nazis in World War II in which evil “was killed.”

Robinson then referenced liberals who would insist his comments sounded insensitive, to which he replied, “Too bad.”

Trump called Mark Robinson "Martin Luther King on steroids."

“Get mad at me if you want to. Some folks need killing. It’s time for somebody to say it. It’s not a matter of vengeance. It’s not a matter of being mean or spiteful. It’s a matter of necessity,” he said.

Robinson refers himself as a MAGA Republican. Robinson and his wife are not apologetic about their past and present problems. Robinson paid for his wife abortion when they were young.

One of 10 children, Robinson became radicalized by far right propaganda from Rush Limbaugh and Pat Buchanan. He called for the assassination of Barack Obama. He said that Vice President Kamala Harris is not Black. He called Martin Luther Luther, Jr. a disgraced adulterer and a phony. He also pushed for Black separatism.

Yet he has a clear shot to win.

Pool Party Massacre: Mass Shooting In Florence, Kentucky!

Another mass shooting in America. Mass shooting in suburban Cincinnati, Ohio. The mass shooting in Florence, Kentucky by a sexual predator who had a feud with victims.

Another week and they still talking about President Joe Biden and his debate performance. The noise is still talking about replacing him despite the president stating clearly, he will not throw in the towel and he will run regardless.

The No. 1 threat to children and adults is gun violence.

Mass shootings so far.

Another mass shooting in the Cincinnati metro area. This happened in Florence, Kentucky, a small city just 10 miles from downtown Cincinnati.

The shooter was a 21 year old who was a sexual predator. He might of had a dispute with the victims or he was angered that the label of sexual offender. It drove him mad. He committed suicide after the law zeroed in on him. He is being depicted by The Daily Mail as a "baby face killer." It gives the impression that the shooter was a victim as well. And of course, it is a white man who committed this mass shooting.

Hyden Rybicki standing on a roof with Cincinnati in the background.

If it was a Black man, Muslim, immigrant or a transgender shooter, do not expect The Daily Mail, The New York Post, Fox or far right propaganda outlets to be sympathetic to the shooter.

Motives are unknown. The victims were aged between 19 and 44 years old. They were from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area.

Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Gov. Andy Beshear, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and the U.S. Representatives of Kentucky were notified.

Four people are dead and three are hurt after a mass shooting in Florence, Kentucky early Saturday morning, according to the Florence Police Department.

At approximately 2:51 a.m., Florence police officers responded to reports of an active shooter inside a residence on Ridgecrest Drive.

During a press conference on Saturday, Florence Police Chief Jeff Mallery said the responding officers heard gunshots when they arrived, according to our media partners WCPO-9 TV.

Officers found seven victims on scene. Two of the victims were outside of the residence, WCPO-9 reported.

Four of the victims died on scene and the remaining three were transported to UC Medical Center. Police said those hospitalized are in “critical but stable condition.”

Mother of four Melissa "Missy" Parrett was killed.

Mallery identified the four victims as Shane Miller, 20, Hayden Rybicki, 20, Delaney Eary, 19, and Melissa Parrett, 44.

“Our hearts and prayers go out to the families of the victims,” Mallery said.

The shooting occurred during a 21st birthday party for Parrett’s son, according to WCPO-9.

Mallery said witnesses told officers the suspect left the scene in a vehicle.

Officers spotted the vehicle near Farmview Drive and US-42 and attempted a traffic stop. The suspect drove away and officers pursued the vehicle.

The suspect crashed into a ditch on Dale Heimbrock Way near Hicks Pike.

Officers found the suspect with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the police department.

Chase Garvey, 21, was identified as the suspect. He was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital, where he died. Note: Meta and TikTok will pull the shooter's account.

Mallery said Garvey is a convicted sex offender, but the department doesn’t believe that is connected to the shooting.

Authorities don’t believe Garvey was invited to the party but was known by other attendees, WCPO-9 reported.

The motive for this shooting is still under investigation.

Delaney "Laney" Eary wanted to be a social media influencer. She was the shooter's intended target. The sexual predator was spurned.

“We have never dealt with this before,” Mallery said. “I know it’s gone on throughout the nation, but this is the first time that we’ve had a mass shooting in Florence.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department at (859) 371-1234.

Keir Starmer Will Face A Challenge In Great Britain!

A new face and the same status quo.

The Conservative Party was ousted in British elections. A new prime minister is taking over. The new prime minister will move to 10 Downing Street. The Labour Party reclaims power.

King Charles III, Queen Camillia, Prince William and Princess Catherine will greet the new prime minister.

President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Deputy Minister Chrystia Freeland, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, French president Emmanuel Macron and European Union president Ursula von der Leyen will meet Keir Starmer in the coming weeks.

He will replace Rishi Sunak, the first Indian British Prime Minister.

The former prime minister and his Conservative Party allies led Great Britain into chaos.

The support of Israel, inflation, the departure from the European Union and the unpopularity of King Charles III has led the Conservative Party to defeat.

Even former prime minister Liz Truss was ousted from her district. She was the second woman and shortest serving British Prime Minister. Her term came after former prime minister Boris Johnson resigned in disgrace after violating COVID regulations after pushing for mandatory enforcement. He and his allies held a party at the height of the pandemic.

Conservatives have tried to push for British first and the same culture war noise the U.S. Republican Party engaged in.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer is a centre-left politician. He supports Israel as his predecessor. It has been a thorn for progressives in Britain. Jeremy Corbyn, the former Labour Party leader who now is an independent won a seat. He vows to continue pushing for an end to foreign aid to Israel.

Many pro Israel operatives have vowed to defeat him and U.S. lawmaker, Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO).

Starmer led Britain’s Labour Party to a landslide election victory, and on Friday became the country’s 58th prime minister — the first leader from the center-left party to win a U.K. national election since Tony Blair, who won three in a row starting in 1997.

It’s the latest reinvention for a man who went from human rights attorney to hard-nosed prosecutor and from young radical to middle-aged pragmatist.

Like Blair, who refashioned the party as “New Labour” in the 1990s, 61-year-old Starmer led Labour to a landslide victory over Sunak’s Conservative Party in Thursday’s election after dragging the party towards the political middle ground.

“People look at Starmer and they see this guy who is very solid, clearly very able in his professional life,” said Douglas Beattie, author of “How Labour Wins (and Why it Loses).”

“I think people want that caution, they want that stability.”

A former chief prosecutor for England and Wales, Starmer has often been caricatured by Conservative opponents as a “lefty London lawyer.” He was knighted for his role leading the Crown Prosecution Service, and opponents like to use his title, Sir Keir Starmer, to paint him as elite and out of touch. While most prime ministers are awarded knighthoods, damehoods — the female equivalent — or other royal honors after their time in office, Starmer is the first knight of the realm to become the country’s leader since Sir Alec Douglas-Hume in 1963.

Starmer prefers to stress his humble roots and down-to-earth tastes. He loves soccer — still plays the sport on weekends — and enjoys nothing more than watching Premier League team Arsenal over a beer in his local pub. He and his wife Victoria, who works in occupational health, have two teenage children they strive to keep out of the public eye.

During the campaign he was stubbornly resistant to revealing flashes of personality, telling a Guardian interviewer that he couldn’t remember any of his dreams, did not have a favorite novel and had no childhood fears.

Starmer becomes the first Labour Prime Minister in over 10 years.

When he did get personal, telling a journalist that he hopes to carve out Friday evenings to spend with his family — his wife is Jewish, and Friday-night Shabbat dinners are a family tradition — the Conservatives used it against him, claiming Starmer planned to be a part-time prime minister.

Born in 1963, Starmer is the son of a toolmaker and a nurse who named him after Keir Hardie, the Labour Party’s first leader. One of four children, he was raised in a cash-strapped household in a small town outside London.

“There were hard times,” he said in a speech launching his election campaign. “I know what out-of-control inflation feels like, how the rising cost of living can make you scared of the postman coming down the path: ‘Will he bring another bill we can’t afford?’”

Starmer’s mother suffered from a chronic illness, Still’s disease, that left her in pain, and Starmer has said that visiting her in the hospital and helping to care for her helped form his strong support for the state-funded National Health Service.

He was the first member of his family to go to college, studying law at Leeds University and Oxford. As a lawyer, he took civil liberties cases including that of the “McLibel Two,” green activists sued by McDonald’s for handing out leaflets saying the restaurant chain sold unhealthy food.

The cases often put him at odds with both Conservative and Labour governments, so his switch to become chief prosecutor in 2008 surprised some colleagues. But during five years in the job he gained a reputation as a tough and hard-working director of public prosecutions, a role that included prosecuting people charged with terrorism, organized crime and other serious offenses.

Starmer entered politics relatively late, in his 50s, and was elected to Parliament in 2015. He often disagreed with the party leader at the time, staunch socialist Jeremy Corbyn, at one point quitting the party’s top team over disagreements, but agreed to serve as Labour’s Brexit spokesman under Corbyn.

Starmer has faced repeated questions about that decision, and about urging voters to support Corbyn, a divisive figure under whose leadership the party was hammered in the 2019 election.

He said he wanted to stay and fight to change Labour, arguing that “leaders are temporary, but political parties are permanent.”

After Corbyn led Labour to election defeats in 2017 and 2019 — the latter the party’s worst result since 1935 — Labour picked Starmer to lead efforts to rebuild.

His leadership has coincided with a turbulent period that saw Britain suffer through the COVID-19 pandemic, leave the EU, absorb the economic shock of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and endure economic turmoil from Liz Truss’ turbulent 49-day term as prime minister in 2022.

Jeremy Corbyn returns to Parliament. He vows to be resistant to the status quo. Corbyn vows to end British taxpayer funding to Israel.

Voters are weary from a cost-of-living crisis, a wave of public sector strikes and political turmoil that saw the Conservative Party dispatch two prime ministers within weeks in 2022 — Boris Johnson and Truss — before installing Sunak to try to steady the ship.

Starmer imposed discipline on a party with a well-earned reputation for internal division, ditched some of Corbyn’s socialist policies and apologized for antisemitism that an internal investigation concluded had been allowed to spread under Corbyn.

Starmer promised “a culture change in the Labour Party.” His mantra is now “country before party.”

Starmer has promised voters that a Labour government can ease Britain’s chronic housing crisis and repair its fraying public services, especially the creaking health service — but without imposing tax increases or deepening the public debt.

“While I don’t think anyone is particularly excited about Keir Starmer, I think he has done a good job of situating himself as the kind of competent grown up in the room who is going to be able to bring government back to where it belongs,” said Lise Butler, senior lecturer in modern history at City University of London.

Starmer will face pressure to deliver quickly. He has already dismayed some supporters by watering down a pledge to spend billions investing in green technology, saying a Labour government would not borrow more to fund public spending.

Starmer was a strong opponent of Britain’s decision to leave the European Union, but now says a Labour government won’t seek to reverse Brexit, another disappointment to many in the party.

“A lot of people on the left will accuse him of letting them down, betraying socialist principles. And a lot of people on the right accuse him of flip-flopping,” said Tim Bale, professor of politics at Queen Mary University of London.

“But, hey, if that’s what it takes to win, then I think that tells you something about Starmer’s character. He will do whatever it takes — and has done whatever it takes — to get into government.”

Biden: Okay, If I Lose.... Don't Blame Me!

Ain't worried about the noise.

Rightfully so, don't blame Joe Biden if he loses. Blame yourself.

Democrats are their own worst enemy. I get that they hold their party accountable for their actions but this is what makes Democrats lose. They are a big tent party and they just can't come together in a situation where it requires all hands on deck.

Republicans are willing to back a confirmed sexual predator. A convicted criminal. A man who threatened to overturn democracy. A man who pandered in racial dog whistles and constant lying. A man who is just as old and just as senile as his Democratic rival.

They are willing to die for the Republican presumptive nominee.

It is clear that I will have to reluctantly back Biden. If we allow Republicans retake the White House and Congress, we will see years of achievements rolled back.

All the noise and no substance.

President Joe Biden on the campaign trail confirmed that he had a bad night. He said that all politicians go through a bad debate. He said he is in for the long haul despite the calls for him to step aside.

You remember this was the same folks who pushed the narratives in 2020.

You know it's the white folks and the token Blacks like Van Jones are calling for Biden to step down.

Van Jones is married to a white woman. His takes are often dismissed by the Black community.

White people have the biggest concern about Biden's age and health.

I have my issues with Biden when it comes to unconditional support to Israel. He is willing to assist a country that wants his rival to win. Israel has been a huge thorn in the Democrats agenda.

Abigail Disney, a heir to the Walt Disney Company and donor said she will not give Democrats any donations unless Biden steps aside.

Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) joins Sen. Joe Manchin (I-WV) in the concern trolling.

Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-TX), Rep. Mike Quigley (D-IL) and Rep. Angie Craig (D-MN), all white Democrats who support Israel are calling for Biden to step aside.

Many of Biden's adamant supporters have denounced the calls.

CNN which is pushing it more than Fox. The network had Dr. Sanjay Gupta on to discuss whether the president should take a cognitive test.

ABC had George Stephanopoulos conduct a post debate and Independence Day interview with Biden. The host had grilled Biden on the debate and Democrats concerned about his ability to govern. Biden stated that he is not going to be pressured to step down.

“Look, I have a cognitive test every single day,” Biden told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, referring to the tasks he faces daily in a rigorous job. “Every day, I have that test. Everything I do. You know, not only am I campaigning, but I’m running the world.”

It's all or nothing.

The 81-year-old Biden made it through the 22-minute interview Friday without any major blunders that would inflict further damage to his imperiled candidacy. But it appeared unlikely to fully tamp down concerns about his age and fitness for another four years and his ability to defeat former president Donald J. Trump in November.

On Saturday, another Democratic lawmaker joined close to a half dozen in saying Biden should not run again. Rep. Angie Craig of Minnesota said that given what she saw and heard in the debate, and Biden’s “lack of a forceful response” afterward, he should step aside “and allow for a new generation of leaders to step forward.”

Craig posted one of the Democrats’ key suburban wins in the 2018 midterms and could be a barometer for districts that were vital for Biden in 2020.

The interview left Biden in a standoff against a not-insignificant faction of his party with four months to go until Election Day, and with just weeks until the Democratic National Convention. The drawn-out spectacle could benefit Biden’s efforts to remain in the race by limiting the party’s options to replace him. But it also could be a distraction from vital efforts to frame the 2024 race as a referendum on Trump.

During the interview, Biden insisted he was not more frail than earlier in his presidency. He said he undergoes “ongoing assessment” by his personal doctors and they “don’t hesitate to tell me” if something is wrong.

“Can I run the 100 in 10 flat? No. But I’m still in good shape,” Biden said.

As for the debate, “I didn’t listen to my instincts in terms of preparing,” Biden said.

Biden suggested that Trump’s disruptions — from just a few feet away — had flustered him: “I realized that, even when I was answering a question and they turned his mic off, he was still shouting and I let it distract me. I’m not blaming it on that. But I realized that I just wasn’t in control.”

At times, Biden rambled during the interview, which ABC said aired in full and without edits. At one point, he started to explain his debate performance, then veered to a New York Times poll, then pivoted to the lies Trump told during the debate. Biden also referred to the midterm “red wave” as occurring in 2020, rather than 2022.

Biden has a stuttering disorder. That is one of the main reasons that he misspeak.

I mean he has often tried to talk at a pace where many can hear him but of course, he does have trouble trying to explain himself.

Asked how he might turn the race around, Biden argued that one key would be large and energetic rallies like the one he held Friday in Wisconsin. When reminded that Trump routinely draws larger crowds, the president laid into his opponent.

“Trump is a pathological liar,” Biden said, accusing Trump of bungling the federal response to the COVID pandemic and failing to create jobs. “You ever see something that Trump did that benefited someone else and not him?”

The interview, paired with a weekend campaign in battleground Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, was part of Biden’s rigorous effort to course correct from his rocky debate performance. But internal party frustrations continue to fester, with one influential Democratic senator working on a nascent push to encourage the president to exit the race and Democrats quietly chatting about where they would go next if the president drops out — or what it would mean if he stays in.

“It’s President Biden’s decision whether or not he remains in the race. Voters select our nominee and they chose him,” said California Rep. Ro Khanna, a member of the Biden campaign’s national advisory board that works as a gathering of his top surrogates. “Now, he needs to prove to those voters that he is up to the job and that will require more than just this one interview.”

One Democrat who watched said they found Biden to be still shaky under controlled conditions and predicted more will call on him to leave the race.

Still, in Wisconsin, Biden was focused on proving his capacity to serve another term. When asked whether he would halt his campaign, he told reporters he was “completely ruling that out” and said he is “positive” he could serve another four years. At a rally in front of hundreds of supporters he acknowledged his subpar debate performance but insisted, “I am running, and I’m going to win again.”

While private angst among Democratic lawmakers, donors and strategists has been running deep since the debate, most in the party have held public fire as they wait to see if the president can restore confidence with his weekend travel and his handling of the interview. Top Biden campaign officials were texting lawmakers encouraging them to refrain from public comments about the situation and give the president a chance to respond, according to a Democrat granted anonymity to discuss the situation.

To that end, Sen. Mark Warner reached out to fellow senators throughout this week to discuss whether to ask Biden to exit the race, according to three people familiar with the effort who requested anonymity to talk about private conversations. The Virginia Democrat’s moves are notable given his chairmanship of the Senate Intelligence Committee and his reputation as a lawmaker who is supportive of Biden and has working relationships with colleagues in both parties. Warner’s effort was first reported by The Washington Post.

The strategy remains fluid. One of the people with knowledge of Warner’s effort said there are enough Senate Democrats concerned enough about Biden’s capacity to run for reelection to take some sort of action, although there was yet no consensus on what that plan would be. Some of the Democratic senators could meet as soon as Monday on how to move forward.

The top Democrats on House committees are planning to meet virtually Sunday to discuss the situation, according to a person familiar with the gathering granted anonymity to talk about it.

At least five House Democrats have called for Biden to step down as the nominee. While not going that far, Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey said in a carefully worded statement Friday that Biden now has a decision to make on “the best way forward.”

“I urge him to listen to the American people and carefully evaluate whether he remains our best hope to defeat Donald Trump,” Healey said.

In the interview, Biden was asked how he might be persuaded to leave the race. He laughed and replied, “If the Lord Almighty comes down and tells me that, I might do that.”

There were also a few signs of discontent at Biden’s campaign rally Friday, with one person onstage waving a sign that read “Pass the torch Joe” as the president came out. His motorcade was also greeted at the middle school by a few people urging him to move on.

But Rebecca Green, a 52-year-old environmental scientist from Madison, said she found Biden’s energy reassuring. “We were just waiting for him to come out strong and fighting again, the way we know he is.”

Many Democratic lawmakers, who are hearing from constituents at home during the holiday week, are deeply frustrated and split on whether Biden should stay or go. Privately, discussions among the House Democrats flared this week as word spread that some of them were drafting public letters suggesting the president should quit the race.

Biden appears to have pulled his family closer while attempting to prove that he’s still the Democrats’ best option.

The ubiquitous presence of Hunter Biden in the West Wing since the debate has become an uncomfortable dynamic for many staffers, according to two Democrats close to the White House who requested anonymity to discuss the sensitive matter.

The ubiquitous presence of Hunter Biden in the West Wing since the debate has become an uncomfortable dynamic for many staffers, according to two Democrats close to the White House who requested anonymity to discuss the sensitive matter.

For many staffers, the sight of Hunter Biden, just weeks after his conviction on felony gun charges, taking a larger role in advising his father has been unsettling and a questionable choice, they said.

In a hastily organized gathering with more than 20 Democratic governors Wednesday evening, Biden acknowledged he needs to sleep more and limit evening events so he can be rested for the job. In trying to explain away those comments, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stressed that Biden “works around the clock” but that he “also recognizes the importance of striking a balance and taking care of himself.”

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, who attended the meeting, said Biden “certainly engaged with us on complicated matters.”

“But then again, this is something that he needs to not just reassure Democratic governors on, but he needs to reassure the American people,” Beshear said.
