President Joe Biden has confirmed he is taking steps to decriminalize marijuana use.
On Thursday, the president had issued pardons for hundreds of individuals who were convicted of non violent federal charges. The White House estimates “6,500 people with prior federal convictions” and “thousands of such convictions under (Washington, DC) law could benefit from this relief.”
Biden said that “no one should be in jail just for using or possessing marijuana.”
“It’s legal in many states, and criminal records for marijuana possession have led to needless barriers to employment, housing, and educational opportunities,” he continued. “And that’s before you address the racial disparities around who suffers the consequences. While White and Black and Brown people use marijuana at similar rates, Black and Brown people are arrested, prosecuted and convicted at disproportionate rates.”
Cue the Conservative outrage. Many on the far right claim it is an attempt to generate votes.

Additionally, @POTUS asked @SecBecerra and the Attorney General to initiate the process of reviewing how marijuana is scheduled under federal law. Marijuana is currently classified at the same level as heroin – and above fentanyl.
Inspired by Vice President Kamala Harris, Biden had blanket pardon Americans who were convicted federally for use or trafficking of marijuana. The state and territorial governors must issue pardons on the state/territorial level.
Smoking weed does not kill.
The pardon has only an affect on Americans convicted in federal court. It does not apply to non citizens and U.S. nationals (those born in American Samoa).
Biden’s presidential proclamation states that his pardon “does not apply to individuals who were non-citizens not lawfully present in the United States at the time of their offense.”
Softball Hannity calls decriminalization of marijuana a sham and claims Democrats are panicking.
This suggests that undocumented immigrants will not be pardoned for existing federal charges for simple marijuana possession.
But a senior administration official on Thursday noted that as a result of Biden’s proclamation, “anyone who has committed that offense could not be prosecuted federally, at this point, based on that conduct.”
The official did not make a distinction between citizens and non-citizens.
Data from the U.S. Sentencing Commission indicates that during fiscal year 2021 some 72% of federal offenders in a case of marijuana possession were non-citizens. But it’s not clear how many non-citizens count as “lawfully” or “unlawfully” present in the country.

The National Archives and Records Administration has confirmed that the former president has not given back all the documents they requested before and after the FBI search of his Florida resort.
There are revelations that Washed Up 45 had shown "declassified" documents to a far right pundit, the former president and his allies use in their attempts to deflect from the FBI probe in to his connections to Russian backed operatives.
The former president shared with Karen Solomon, a far right agitator who writes "investigative" stories about Hunter Biden, Hillary Clinton and the "deep state."
Solomon was promoting a series of since-discredited claims about supposed Obama-era corruption in Ukraine, claims which Washed Up 45 then privately tried to get Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy to investigate, leading to the former president's first impeachment. The former president tried to hold military funding to Ukraine in exchange for dirt on Joe Biden.
He worked for numerous places. His most notable were The Washington Times, Circa News, The Hill and Fox. He was fired from each of these platforms before he started his own company.
On his last day of office, he "declassified" some notable documents in relation to Ukraine, Russia and the Mueller Probe. It appears that he secretly met with Solomon and shared the classified documents with the fake journalist.
The former president and his allies are trying to paint the FBI as corrupt. They are claiming that his handpicked director Christopher Wray had a hand in shielding Hunter Biden and the search of Mar-a-Lago was an attempt to prevent him from potentially running for president in 2024.
Solomon has ties to indicted Ukrainian operatives Lav Parnas and Igor Friman. Parnas, Fruman, Solomon, Karen Giuliani, Yuriy Lutsenko, Dmytro Firtash and their allies, Karen Toensing and Karen diGenova were involved in the Washed Up 45–Ukraine scandal.

Biden has never had a jobs report that showed a drastic decline or a net loss. However, the noise says "cooling down." A jobs report that shows hiring is still good.
Harris had convinced Biden to pardon low risk criminals.
The unemployment rate was 3.5% vs the forecast of 3.7% as the labor force participation rate edged lower to 62.3% and the size of the labor force decreased by 57,000. A more encompassing measure that includes discouraged workers and those holding part-time jobs for economic reasons saw an even sharper decline, to 6.7% from 7%.
September’s payroll figure marked a deceleration from the 315,000 gain in August and tied for the lowest monthly increase since April 2021.
From a sector view, leisure and hospitality led the gains with an increase of 83,000, a gain that still left the industry 1.1 million jobs short of its February 2020 pre-pandemic levels.
Elsewhere, health care added 60,000, professional and business services rose 46,000 and manufacturing contributed 22,000. Construction was up 19,000 and wholesale trade was up 11,000.
A drop of 25,000 in government jobs was a big contributor to the report missing expectations. Hiring at the state and local level is highly seasonal, so the decline points to a report that otherwise was largely in line with expectations and shows a resilient jobs market.
Also on the negative side, financial activities and transportation and warehousing both saw losses of 8,000 jobs.
The report “really just shows that the consumer and corporate side have been very resilient despite the headwinds of the Russia-Ukraine war, rising interest rates and slowing housing market,” Roach said. “It could add to the story of a soft landing [for the economy] that for a while seemed fairly elusive.”

Jobs are looking good despite fears of an economic slowdown and with a roaring pace of inflation, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday.
Companies are still trying to hire employees. With the average wages stagnant, many are not looking forward to returning to a job that pays dirt wages. Many who worked in the retail, restaurant and low end service industry are not willing to take a job for less than $10 an hour. Matter of fact, no one can survive on $15 an hour.
Republicans don't see the bigger picture itself. They rather continue to believe in conspiracies about people collecting the safety net and not going back to work.
Give them a liveable wage and maybe things might improve in the job market.
We can't always assume that folks are lazy. People are literally dying from being exposed to the coronavirus and folks are tired of the status quo of their jobs.
Many single mothers are having trouble trying to find quality daycare or family members to watch children. On top of that, some have lost family members due to the pandemic. A homemaker may have lost their spouse. Some may have no choice but to watch their children or loved ones due to the aftermath of the pandemic.
Folks are still trying to rebound from medical bills, late rent payments, owing taxes and college loans.
Republicans are white nationalists without a conscience.
Washed Up 45's presidency and Republican controlled governments killed millions of Americans. Biden has a slim majority in Congress and things can't be done with obstruction from both parties.
Holding these lawmakers accountable is not just a pledge, but a promise. You need to learn who represents your community. Your local community member, your school board member, your mayor, your state representative, your state senator, your governor, your U.S. Representative, your U.S. Senator and the president need to be held accountable for their actions.
We need to put pressure on Republicans and Democrats to do something to improve everyone's lives.

The group claim they have been “the victims of abhorrent criminal activity and gross breaches of privacy by Associated Newspapers,” according to a press release from law firm Hamlins, which is representing Prince Harry and Frost.

Court records show three separate lawsuits citing “misuse of private information” were filed against Associated in London’s High Court today (Oct. 6) by Gunnercooke on behalf of its clients. Prince Harry and Frost’s lawsuits have yet to appear in court records but Hamlins said that legal action has been launched.
Amongst the allegations, the group claim that Associated hired private investigators to bug their cars and homes, hired people to listen into their telephone conversations, paid police for inside information, impersonated staff at hospitals and clinics to obtain information and accessed bank accounts and financial transactions “through illicit means and manipulation.”
A spokesperson for Associated Newspapers told Variety: “We utterly and unambiguously refute these preposterous smears which appear to be nothing more than a pre-planned and orchestrated attempt to drag the Mail titles into the phone hacking scandal concerning articles up to 30 years old. These unsubstantiated and highly defamatory claims – based on no credible evidence – appear to be simply a fishing expedition by claimants and their lawyers, some of whom have already pursued cases elsewhere.”
The lawsuit will be the third Prince Harry has brought against Associated Newspapers in as many years. He has sued twice previously for libel and slander. At least one lawsuit is ongoing, regarding a story about Prince Harry’s bid for private security provided by the Metropolitan Police in the U.K. He won the first stage of the lawsuit in July.
Sasse to quit for cushy University of Florida job.
On a few occasions, Sen. Karen Sasse (R-NE) would do what's right when it came to calling out Washed Up 45. He joined six other Republicans in convicting the former president after he instigated a mob to attack the U.S. Capitol on Jan 6, 2021.
Thanks to Sasse, I developed a nickname for Fox's most annoying media agitator
"Softball" Hannity. When Sasse called out the annoying agitator for being too cozy to Washed Up 45, the softball clapped back saying he would do "easy" interviews with Sasse just to prove he isn't a pompous asshole.
"In my first speech here in the Senate in November 2015, I promised to speak out when a president — even of my own party — exceeds his or her powers," he said. "I cannot go back on my word, and Congress cannot lower our standards on such a grave matter, simply because it is politically convenient. I must vote to convict."
Now Sasse fearing a primary challenge and the constant death threats decided the time is now to quit. He is expected to leave the Senate at the end of the year and it opens up a seat that Republicans will have to defend.
Sasse is expected to leave the Senate to take a job leading the University of Florida, the source said. Sasse and the university confirmed that he is in talks for the top job there after news broke Thursday.
The news was first reported by talk radio host Ian Swanson of KFAB in Omaha, Nebraska, a former Sasse staffer, who opened his show Thursday by announcing that his former boss would soon be resigning to take a job in academia.
Sasse eaisly won re-election in 2020, and his term is set to expire in 2027. Sasse has been at odds with Washed Up 45 and his own party for years. As Washed Up 45 ran for re-election in 2020, Sasse unloaded on him, saying Washed Up 45 "kisses dictators' butts," "flirted with white supremacists," disparages women, “mocks evangelicals behind closed doors" and "treats the presidency like a business opportunity."
"Those lies had consequences, endangering the life of the vice president and bringing us dangerously close to a bloody constitutional crisis. Each of these actions are violations of a president's oath of office," Sasse said.
I mean dude voted with the former president about 90% of the time. He supported the tax cuts. He has been a thorn to President Joe Biden. He opposed the bipartisan infrastructure bill but ended up claiming credit for projects that helped Nebraska constituents. He opposed the first African American woman to sit on the Supreme Court.
In a statement Thursday, Sasse called the University of Florida “the most important institution in the nation’s most economically dynamic state.”
“Washington partisanship isn’t going to solve these workforce challenges new institutions and entrepreneurial communities are going to have to spearhead this work,” Sasse said. “If UF wants to go big, I’m excited about the wide range of opportunities.”
And he still voted against confirming Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court.
It seems like having Sasse leave his job to be a part of the Gator community in Gainsville.
The University of Florida formally announced Thursday afternoon that its presidential search committee had unanimously selected Sasse as the “sole finalist” to lead the university.
“This is right for the University of Florida, right for the state of Florida and right for the Sasse family,” said Rahul Patel, the chair of the university's Presidential Search Committee. “Ben brings intellectual curiosity, a belief in the power and potential of American universities, and an unmatched track record of leadership spanning higher education, government and the private sector.”
The announcement kicks off a process, spelled out in Florida state law, that includes meetings between Sasse and officials in Gainesville, where the university is based.
After three weeks, the college’s board of directors will vote on the search panel’s recommendation; then the Florida board of governors will vote to approve the pick.
“We anticipate that will be accepted by the end of the year, and then he would resign before the end of the year and the Nebraska governor would select the replacement,” the source said.
The appointed senator would serve until Jan. 3, 2025. Because Sasse was just re-elected in 2020, a special election to fill the rest of his term would take place in 2024.
Sasse, 50, the former president of Midland University in Fremont, Nebraska, who served in President George W. Bush’s administration, was elected to the Senate in 2014.

Ye sat down for an interview with Fox host Karen Carlson Thursday night. In the interview, Ye addresses the media's "godless agenda."
This comes just days after Ye made headlines after wearing a White Lives Matter shirt during his YEEZY Season 9 fashion show in Paris. He told Fox, he was privately warned that people wearing the shirt would be assaulted, similar to how some people wearing Washed Up 45's "Make America Great Again" hat would be targeted in the past.
Fox only interviews rappers who bash Democrats.
"[They] said that I like Trump, that my career will be over, that my life would be over. They said stuff like people get killed for wearing a hat like that," Ye told Carlson Thursday.
Ye also explained his pro-life stance in the interview.
"I don't care about people's responses. I care about the fact that there's more Black babies being aborted than born in New York City at this point, that 50% of Black Death in America is abortion. So I really don't care about people's response," he said.
The multi-talented artist gave a speech detailing the pushback he received as he entered the fashion industry while donning a shirt with "White Lives Matter" printed on the back in white lettering with people saying the Pope's face was emblazoned on the front.
According to TMZ, Ye landed at LAX from Paris and met with Carlson to discuss some talking points ahead of the interview.
In addition to the "White Lives Matter" controversy, Ye is also under fire for comments he made on Vogue editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson after she shared her take on his show and the WLM apparel.

On Real America's Voices, a network for C-list conservative agitators, Karen Loesch said she doesn't care whether or not pro-life Walker paid for his girlfriend's abortion, saying what she wants is "control of the Senate."

It was revealed that Walker had paid for an abortion. On top of that, the woman is mother of one of Walker's children. Mind you, Walker failed to disclose he has two sons and a daughter. His known son, a sweet chicken named Christian Walker has turned on him.

Secret Service motorcade had an accident with Vice President Kamala Harris riding.
The U.S. Secret Service is doing a fucked up job when it comes to protecting the president, vice president and their families. The Biden Administration must look into this because a member could be a Washed Up 45 supporter and is willing to not do his/her duty to protect the leaders of the free world.
Vice President Kamala Harris was riding in a motorcade when her SUV struck a curb. It was no major damage and the vice president was whisked away into another vehicle.
The spokesperson, Anthony Guglielmi, said the accident occurred when the vehicle carrying Harris overcorrected and hit a curb.
“During a protective movement Monday, a vehicle in a motorcade had a minor overcorrection and struck a curb,” Guglielmi said. “The protectee [Harris] was transferred to a secondary vehicle and the motorcade continued to its destination. There were no injuries to anyone.”
The Washington Post first reported the incident.
Radio traffic surrounding the incident, which was communicated to agency leaders by personnel supporting the motorcade, initially indicated that a mechanical failure had occurred, Guglielmi said.
"After the protective movement was completed, leadership was verbally updated with additional pertinent facts that the vehicle struck a curb," he said.
Harris’ press secretary, Kirsten Allen, confirmed the incident Wednesday.
“The Vice President sustained no injuries and appreciates the quick response by her USSS detail to get her to the White House safely,” Allen said in a statement.

The miscommunication on the part of the Secret Service comes as the agency is already under criticism over how it has handled internal communications in the past.
The agency has been scrutinized for apparently having erased text messages surrounding the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol last year. After the Department of Homeland Security’s inspector general launched a probe, senior leaders at the Secret Service confiscated the cellphones of 24 agents to give to the watchdog.
Guglielmi said Wednesday there would be no disciplinary action after the motorcade incident.
Mind you, the junk food media has you believing that she drove and she caused an accident. Since she is a high profile figure in the U.S., she has lifetime Secret Service protection.

Brown has lost endorsements because of the noise. He thought it was funny to endorse a bitcoin called the FJB Coin. NASCAR warned racers that politics and extremism is not going to fly if they are racing.
Sen. Karen N. Kennedy (R-LA) is a slack jawed cracka. He looks like a meth head and they elected him to represent the state of Louisiana. He is deliberately baiting his Democratic opponent with noise.
Kennedy released his third televised ad of his re-election campaign recently.
One line in the ad is being shared across social media. The senator says, “Look, if you hate cops just because they’re cops, the next time you’re in trouble, call a crackhead.”
A spokesperson with Kennedy’s campaign says, “The ad outlines Kennedy’s record of fighting crime, supporting law enforcement, and working to make Louisiana communities safe. Kennedy has an extensive track record of combatting crime and was recently endorsed by the Louisiana Sheriffs’ Association.”
“Violent crime is surging in Louisiana. Woke leaders blame the police. I blame the criminals. I voted against the early release of violent criminals, and I opposed defunding the police because I know the difference between criminals and their innocent victims,” said Kennedy in the new political advertisement.
But some people think the “crackhead” line in the advertisement goes a little overboard.
“The fact that something like that would be said to make fun of people who are dying with everything that’s going on in our community,” said Tonja Myles. “Being a person in recovery and being an ex-crackhead, I was very offended, and I thought that went too far.”
You’ve probably heard of Tonja Myles’ journey before. She’s a certified peer support specialist, as well as a substance abuse and mental health advocate here in the Baton Rouge area.
Myles first posted a video response to the new campaign ad, on her Facebook page Sunday.
“I was appalled, I was triggered, I was mad, I was sad, and I was hurt. I had just walked in my house from having a conversation with a mom, who just lost her son to a fentanyl overdose. Who was using crack cocaine and some other drugs and did not know fentanyl was in it,” said Myles.
Before WAFB was set to interview Tonja Monday afternoon, she says someone from Senator John Kennedy’s office actually called her.
“They wanted to have a conversation and I told them I will get back with them. Because that’s a conversation I don’t mind having. And I told them I don’t mind having the conversation, but my ask is still going to be the same, take it down,” said Myles.
Myles still believes the senator could have used a different term. Especially with the high overdose rates in the Greater Baton Rouge area.
“And we wonder why people don’t come out and talk about addiction or talk about mental health in our community, because of things like this. And we have to do better,” said Myles.
A spokesperson with the senator’s campaign says, the ad touts his ‘extensive track record of combatting crime.’
“Kennedy voted to support law enforcement and keep violent criminals, including rapists and murderers, behind bars. Kennedy has consistently opposed radical efforts to defund and disrespect the police. Kennedy has helped pass laws to aggressively prosecute sexual predators,” that news release from Kennedy’s campaign stated, along with other examples of what the senator has accomplished during his time in Washington D.C.
But a lot of people across Louisiana believe Senator Kennedy just tells it like it is, and that’s why they support him.
“[The former president] once said that he could shoot somebody on 5th Avenue and still win an election. I think John Kennedy can talk about crackheads and weed killer all day long and still win an election,” said WAFB political analyst Jim Engster.
12 other candidates are trying to unseat Kennedy.
That includes Democrats Gary Chambers and Luke Mixon, who are already attacking the recent ad by the senator.

“We have to address violent crime. We do that by funding our police departments. Senator Kennedy voted against $350 billion in funding for local police departments. To paraphrase Senator Kennedy, watch what people do, not just their embarrassing one-liners,” said Luke Mixon (D), candidate for U.S. Senate.
In a video posted on twitter, Gary Chambers Jr. (D) called the senator a ‘Walking dog whistle.’
“But it’s also racist as hell, and he didn’t say nothing about opioid addicts, meth addicts, none of that other stuff. Because he was trying to talk about a specific sub-set of people, that he doesn’t give a damn about serving in Louisiana,” said Chambers in the social media video.
“Right now, John Kennedy can say just about anything he wants and he’s headed for re-election. The question is whether he’ll be in the governor’s race next year,” said Engster.
There’s still no word on if Senator Kennedy will chose to face his challengers in a debate.
We don’t have any announcements to make at this time,” said Jess Andrews, Communications Director for U.S. Senator John N. Kennedy on Monday.
And political analyst Jim Engster does not expect him to debate.
“The only way he would debate potentially would be in a runoff and even that would be highly doubtful. So John Kennedy with five weeks to go, can say anything he wants. And he’s good at soundbites and he’s showing it. And look for him to be around for a long time, at least six more years,” said Engster.
Engster says Kennedy has already raised more than $40 million, and there’s a good chance he could win with more than 60% of the votes in five weeks.
“He’s a senator who’s popular in Louisiana, and it would take a cataclysmic collapse for him to lose this race,” he said.

White Lives Matter, Blue Lives Matter, All Lives Matter and whatever else the far-right uses in their cultural appropriation is doing their best to denounce the struggles Black men and women face when they're dealing with racism and police violence.
Kanye West not only claimed that Black Lives Matter was a ‘scam,’ but he also seemingly took credit for moving the discussion away from the movement and onto himself, just a day after debuting and wearing a "White Lives Matter" shirt at his Yeezy fashion show in Paris.
Ye, as the rapper prefers to be called, shared in a since-deleted Instagram story, "Everyone knows that Black Lives Matter was a scam. Now it's (sic) over. You're welcome."
Loretta Lynn, who was born a coal miner’s daughter before becoming one of the crown jewels of country music, has died.
She was 90.
Lynn’s family said in a statement that she died Tuesday at her home in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
“Our precious mom, Loretta Lynn, passed away peacefully this morning, October 4th, in her sleep at home in her beloved ranch in Hurricane Mills,” the family said in a statement. They asked for privacy.
Born as Loretta Webb in the remote Appalachian mountain village of Butcher Hollow, Kentucky, she was the second of eight children, and the family lived in a log cabin with wallpaper made out of Sears Roebuck catalog pages. Her early life revolved around the coal mine where her father toiled and the church where she learned to sing. That hardscrabble beginning helped lay the groundwork for her status as the voice of working class women — most famously through her signature 1970 hit, “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” an ode to her father, Melvin Webb, who died of black lung disease 11 years earlier.
“I write about my life — in every song I’ve written,” Lynn told TODAY’s Jenna Bush Hager in 2018.
“I would have given anything in the world if he (my father) would have been here when I recorded 'Coal Miner’s Daughter,' but I think he hears me,” Lynn told Hager. “And one day I will sing it for him.”
There was plenty of talent in that family: Her younger sister went on to have an enormously successful country career of her own under the name Crystal Gayle.

By the time Lynn moved to Nashville in 1960 on the strength of her debut single “I’m a Honky Tonk Girl,” as well as a tireless promotional crusade to radio stations across the country, she had already racked up a life worth of lyrics.
Just 15 when she married a 21-year-old war veteran Oliver “Doolittle” Lynn — she erroneously reported that she wed at the age of 13 in her autobiography — she was a housewife in Washington with four young children when a scout for Zero Records discovered her crooning in a small club in Vancouver.
Once she made that cross-country pilgrimage to the Music City, her rise was meteoric.
Lynn’s breakthrough came two years later with the aptly titled tune “Success,” the first for Decca Records and the first of an eventual 51 top-10 hits.
“People were charmed by her innocence,” country author and documentary filmmaker Robert K. Oermann said. “She was so naive about life and the business and the music, that she came off as charming to people.
“Well, that and the fact that she was a hell of a singer.”
With country pioneer Patsy Cline as a friend and mentor until she died in a 1963 plane crash, Lynn wrote and sang songs that appealed to women. She quickly realized that most of the audience listening to country radio at the time and buying albums were women like her. Songs such as “Don’t Come Home A-Drinkin’ (With Lovin’ on Your Mind)” and “Your Squaw Is on the Warpath” found resonance.
“Women found the champion with Loretta Lynn,” country music historian Bill Malone told NBC News. “They could identify with her success but they also independence of mind.
“I don’t think she ever identified with the women’s rights movement, yet her songs accomplished the same objective.”
At the height of her career, Lynn, along with Dolly Parton and Tammy Wynette, proved to be the biggest female stars in country music. One of her biggest hits came on a 1972 duet with Conway Twitty, “After the Fire Is Gone.”
Lynn also proved unfazed by controversy, releasing songs glorifying sex (“Wings Upon Your Horns”), divorce (“Rated X”), questioning the Vietnam War (“Dear Uncle Sam”) and most famously, “The Pill,” about birth control.
Her signature 1970 hit “Coal Miner’s Daughter” became the title of her 1976 autobiography, which was turned into the Oscar-winning 1980 film with Sissy Spacek as the lead.
In 1972, Lynn became the first woman in history to win the Country Music Association’s Entertainer of the Year trophy, and she would add a mantle’s worth of hardware to go with it over the years — four Grammys, a 2003 Kennedy Center honor, and a Presidential Medal of Freedom a decade later. Over her six-decade career, Lynn sold more than 45 million albums, according to her personal website.
After the turn of the century, Lynn found a second act of sorts from the success of a 2004 collaboration with Jack White. Her reputation as a champion of women, however, took a hit in 2017 when the Trump supporter took a shot at the celebrities involved with the Women’s March for not having “more class.”
Health issues dominated more recent headlines. At the age of 85, she suffered a stroke and then broke her hip in a fall eight months later.
Widowed since 1996, Lynn is survived by four children — Clara, Ernest, and twins Peggy Jean and Patsy Eileen. Her eldest son, Jack Benny, drowned in 1984 at the age of 34 while trying to cross a river on horseback on the family ranch; eldest daughter Betty Sue, 64, died of emphysema in 2013.
Lynn also leaves behind legions of fans spread across generations.
“She was singing it like the women listening to her lived it,” said Oermann. “‘Don’t Come Home A-Drinkin,’ that’s a situation that millions of women have been in and relate to.”
