The Klan Working For You!

KKK-FLYER.jpeg
They are looking out for you!

The racist right still simmers in the age of Barack Obama.

The Southern Poverty Law Center concludes that there are over 1,000 active hate groups in the United States. These groups and online forums are catering to the extremism in America.

A bunch of people who have resentment towards someone's race, gender, sexuality, religion, political and economic standings.

The Klan is one of the oldest domestic terrorist groups. They've slightly increased in the past five years. They are very active in the Midwest and Northeast.

When you got White men who are frustrated with the changing demographics in this country, you will see them go berserk.

The Traditionalist American Knights of the Ku Klux Klan launched a neighborhood watch in the area of Ridge Road in Fairview Township in response to a recent rash of break-ins, said Frank Ancona, the organization’s imperial wizard and president.

Leadership of a local Traditional American Knights chapter contacted the organization’s headquarters in Park Hills, Mo., to find out whether the national organization would sponsor the crime watch, and Ancona said he gave the midstate “klavern” his blessing.

“It’s just like any neighborhood watch program. It’s not targeting any specific ethnicity. We would report anything we see to law enforcement,” Ancona said. “We don’t hate people. We are an organization who looks out for our race. We believe in racial separation. God created each species after its kind and saw that it was good.”

Residents along Ridge Road woke up to find fliers bearing Ku Klux Klan propaganda at their doorsteps Friday morning.

The fliers include a depiction of a KKK member in a white robe and hood, and a note that says:

“Neighborhood Watch. You can sleep tonight knowing the Klan is awake.”

PennLive obtained a picture of the flier taken by a resident who received it.

PennLive writer Eric Veronikis reports that Fairview Township police Sgt. Davis Holland said police are aware of the propaganda, but would not comment further.

Ancona would not divulge information about the local chapter that distributed the flier; nor would he reveal the names of local leadership or other members of the midstate chapter.
Imperial Wizard Frank Ancona1.jpg
Head of the Klan wants to establish a neighborhood watch.
A number of people recently called the Traditional American Knights hotline from Fairview Township saying they don’t believe the local police department is doing enough to combat a recent string of break-ins in the area, Ancona said.

He said he doesn’t necessarily believe the accusations against the police are true. But he does believe local police departments can get overwhelmed by crime and could use an extra hand looking out for criminals. Hence, the neighborhood watch.

Nine vehicles were reportedly broken into earlier this month at the FedEx facility off Industrial Drive in Fairview Township. Another man broke into several vehicles in the township in March. But he also was caught. And a robbery attempt at a Fairview Township home was foiled in January after police said the homeowner caught him in the act and pinned him to the ground.

The imperial wizard refused to help PennLive reach out to a local leader to discuss the neighborhood watch because only himself and national leadership are permitted to speak with media, he said.

That mandate exists to prevent others from misrepresenting the organization, Ancona said, referencing Frasier Glenn Miller, the reported former grand dragon of the Carolina Knights who allegedly shot and killed three people at a Jewish community center in Overland Park, Kan., a little more than a week ago.

While not affiliated with the Traditionalist American Knights, Ancona, who denounced Miller in the national press following the incident, said the alleged gunman went “rogue” and gave the KKK a black eye.

Ancona continued to soften his organization during an interview with PennLive on Sunday night.

He said members of the group, which has chapters in every state except Hawaii, are neighbors and colleagues who generally can’t discuss their involvement with the Traditionalist American Knights because of the negative light cast upon the KKK.

People can lose jobs and family and friends when they are traced back to the KKK, Ancona said. And that’s because the klan is “somewhat discriminated against,” he said.

Background checks are run on all potential members, Ancona said. And anyone with serious crimes on their records will not be admitted to the Traditionalist American Knights, he said.

Ancona described Pennsylvania as a “strong Yankee state” for his organization with a large membership base. The group’s “realm of greater Pennsylvania” encompasses West Virginia and western New York.

“Members could be the guy who is delivering your pizza. It could be law enforcement from the local sheriff’s office. It could be the nurse taking care of you in the emergency room,” Ancona said.

He stressed that the KKK is not affiliated with the neo-Nazi and skinhead movements. And Ancona said residents of Fairview Township should be relieved the neighborhood watch is underway.

Ancona said the Traditionalist American Knights consider anyone outside of the KKK “an alien.”

“Anyone who is not part of the klan is considered an alien,” Ancona said. “These are things that band us in this brotherhood.”

After the attack of a Jewish center by Glenn Miller (aka Frazier Glenn Cross) members of the Klan are trying to distance themselves from the domestic terrorist.

They considered Miller a snitch and a traitor to the cause.

They want to show the public they're not just proud racists but honest to god citizens.

Rolling laughter....

Silent Kill!

Hate groups are plotting domestic attacks.

The Southern Poverty Law Center said that it's going to be an explosive year for domestic terrorism.

Proof positive that the hate groups are plotting to cause senseless destruction.

They released a report stating that the country's most notorious White extremist website may have ties to unsolved murders. And some of these members are openly bragging about it.

The report said nearly 100 people in the last five years have been murdered by frequent users of one white extremist supremacist website, "WHO CARES". The site describes itself as a community of “White Nationalists” and “the voice of the new, embattled White minority.”

Potok called on law enforcement, particularly the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, to increase its focus on racist online forums.

There's ten active hate websites online. Not to mention there's websites such as That Guy Who Throws Shit To The Wall. That Guy links up stories to appeal to the White extremists.

The website's founder dismiss this as propaganda created by the SPLC to tarnish a civil "pro-White" forum

Yeah, I can tell you the truth. It's real.

Could you imagine that over 1,000 active hate groups exist in the United States?

Matt Drudge Is A God Damn Race Baiting Conservative Agitator!

Scaring Up Votes, The Drudge Manifesto! Race-baiting conservative agitator puts the fear of Black thugs in the minds of extremists. Matt Drudge roots for The Great American Race War.
Update: This election will bring out the worst from the Republican Party. Their allies include The Drudge Report, Fox News, Karl Rove, Frank Luntz and the Koch Brothers. They're heavily invested in the divide and conquer strategy. Watching how these stories are mentioned in the mainstream media proves there is a subliminal tactic by the right. Those evil Black thugs attacking on the patriotic White person is certainly going to be the theme of the conservative media. This is dog whistle politics. Republicans have been in the game for the last 40+ years doing this stuff. Isolating those they deem ineffective to their radical conservative causes. The world is changing and conservatism is slow to catching up. With the announcement of demographics shifting in favor of minority birth rates, White conservatives are really riled up about the growing minority. They need to scare up votes from bigots who are determined to destory the progress of Civil Rights. Barack Obama is the first Black president. Conservatives will rile up White people with these stories.

It's no surprise of the alliance between the Breitbart News Service and The Drudge Report. They work hand in hand trying to point out the issue of Black on White violence. A theme that's run popular in the conservative blogosphere and the white supremacist circles.

But I want to make it clear, U.S. crime rates are down.

Racial based incidents aren't on the rise. It's actually on the decrease. There's far more incidents that involve white males committing hate crimes. It's mostly a product of the extremism within the conservative movement. Hate crimes are usually committed by white males who hold conservative views towards race, gender, sexuality, nationality, religion, language, disability, political and economic standings. They would perform domestic terrorism in the name of group that harbors extremism towards a changing society.

They're trying to justify incidents within the controversial Trayvon Martin shooting. In the mind of a conservative, Black on White violence is rampant and the media isn't reporting it!

Once again, if you harbor bigoted views towards someone's race, gender, sexuality, nationality, religion, political and economic standings, you're deemed an extremist in my eye.

I don't care what political affiliation you represent, if you're a conservative on an issue, you're likely to hold a bigoted view on an issue.

The Drudge Report caters to extremism. In order to stay relevant, the conservative agitator looks for stories that offer red meat controversies. Conservatives harbor bigoted views toward race, gender, sexuality, religion, language, nationality, political and economic standings.
Who the heck goes around sending racist emails with depictions of President Obama and his family?

Who the heck goes around saying the Blacks are lazy, immoral, welfare loving, "gubmint" supporting parasites? Note the spelling of the word gubmint, a popular white supremacist colical term to describe the government.

Who the heck complains about the likelihood of a society getting browner?

I come to the conclusion that white conservative men provoke the Black and Hispanic/Latino community.

Conservative agitators are the reasons for uneasy among the races.

According to McKay Coppins, of Buzzfeed a liberal agitating website that channels viral events, he wrote that: [If] you've spent much time consuming conservative media lately, you've probably learned about a slow-burning "race war" going on in America today. Sewing together disparate data points and compelling anecdotes like the attack in Norfolk, conservative bloggers and opinion-makers are driving the narrative with increasing frequency.

Their message: Black-on-white violence is spiking — and the mainstream media is trying to cover it up. This notion isn't necessarily new to the right, which has long complained about stifling political correctness in the media and the rising tide of "reverse racism." But the race war narrative has gained renewed traction during the Obama years, as various factors — from liberals' efforts to paint the Tea Party as racist, to the widely-covered Trayvon Martin shooting — have left conservatives feeling unfairly maligned, and combative.

Here what you do if you're one these conservative agitators who respond to my post!

Take your Tea Party signs, your phony patriotism rants, Obama bashing, minority complaining nonsense to these so called crime ridden Democratic strongholds you're complaining about. Let's see if you can take your online rhetoric to the streets you claim are crime infested Democrat areas! Let your guns, Bibles and "think you're better than others" crap to those you feel stifle the majority.

The Growing Minority!

This isn't going to make some happy. And yes, I mean the arm chair warriors who lambast the Black and Hispanic/Latino communities.

May 2012, is a historic event.

For the first time White (non-Hispanic) children are born less than those who are minorties. That means that a faster growth of minority (Black, Latino and Asian) children are being born.

It's a changing of demographics in the United States. To make this clear, the country is getting browner!

Yes, Cult Followers! It's Over For Ron Paul!

It's over for the perennial long shot candidate, Ron Paul.
The gadfly candidate for president, Congressman Ron Paul (R-Texas) is broke. And he's no longer capable to campaign in the final primary states.

Instead of throwing in the towel, he urges his cult followers to continue the fight all the way to the Republican National Convention despite him ceasing his primary stomps.

The cult refuses to acknowledge his suspending of active campaigning. They will never get it through their mentally challenged heads that the game is over.

The cult of Ron Paul is in such disarray. They don't even understand the logic of politics! They will continue to support a candidate that had no chance of winning in the first place.

Okay, cult members, there's no possibility for him to run for the nomination of the Libertarian Party. The former governor of New Mexico, Gary Johnson is the nominee for the Libertarian Party.

Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky isn't going to be the choice of vice president when perennial candidate Mitt Romney becomes the nominee. It's not worth Romney's time to have a conspiracy kook a breathe away from the presidency.

The Federal Reserve will be here! Today. Tomorrow. And probably by the time Ron Paul is dead and gone.

Black males aren't born criminals. Ron Paul you got it twisted. White conservative men will always provoke the Black community with this inflammatory rhetoric. Talk radio, White on Black crime, stereotyping and racial insults are leading agitation among conservatives and the Black community. What causes crime between Black and White men? A White conservative male provoke a Black person with rhetoric that is considered threatening to the well-being of the person.

Ron Paul's white nationalist friends are going to have support someone! Maybe the American Third Position or the Constitutional Party?

Ron Paul is America's least favorite politician. There's no doubt that!

Ron Paul has no love for the gay community! He proven that when he got ambushed by comedian Sacha Baron Cohen. The comedian took on the persona of the gay agitator Bruno.

Ron Paul thinks women are irrelevant. He would rather oppose legislation that favors women. Let's say that he's against family leave. He's supports legislation that rolls back Roe v. Wade.

Ron Paul supports the Republican Party over 90% of the time when it comes to Paul Ryan's austerity cuts. But Paul goes further. He wants to eliminate the Departments of Education, Energy, Commerce, Housing & Urban Development, and Interior. He wants to eliminate domestic spending like farm subsidies, food stamps, welfare and unemployment benefits for laid off employees.

Ron Paul has ties to extremists. He took pictures with White supremacist Derek Black and his father blogger Don, the creator of Stormfront. The white nationalist website actively donates to the campaign and Paul refuses to return the money. Paul appeared on The Political Cesspool, a radio program by James Edwards, a contributor to Stormfront.

Ron Paul has no love for immigrants. The Ron Paul newsletters, one of the many controversies that spawned through the 2012 U.S. Presidential Campaign have been released once again. Paul shares his disgust of the vermin of society.

Ron Paul has no major accomplishments either as a congressman or a presidential candidate. This is the third time he's tried to run for president. From the moment he announced he would run for president, the American people written him as the perennial gadfly.

I consider him Ron Perot. A ploy upon the Texas businessman and founder of the Reform Party, H. Ross Perot. The candidate who ran for president in 1992 and 1996. Many Republicans claim that Perot helped Bill Clinton become the President of the United States. With these running for president it has ruined President George H.W. Bush and Senator Bob Dole's campaigns and allow two successful victories for Clinton.

Ron Paul will have no impact whatsoever to Mitt Romney. Romney is aware of the disgruntled cult members. Romney may try to soothe over Paul's cult. And believe me there's chatter!

Those die-hard cult followers of Ron Paul will never get over the fact that it's over! He's retiring from Congress and this was the make-or-break moment for the campaign.

If there's any sign of treason (selling out), Paul would endorse Romney and tell his cult followers to support him.

I doubt it, but it could be a possibility that if Romney does win the presidency, he may put Paul in his administration. But I doubt it. There shouldn't be any talk of a Federal Reserve Chairman Ron Paul.

And with this being over for him, what the cult going to do now. Blame everyone but themselves?

Good riddance to the cult, the conspiracy theories and the failed campaign of Ron Paul.

Neo Nazi Border Vigilante J.T. Ready Kills Family And Himself

J.T. Ready.
Extremists within the conservative movement are worked up.

All these culture wars are credited to making more unease within the White Supremacy movement. They already know that it's likely President Barack Obama could win reelection.

They're aware of the changing demographics in which Hispanic/Latinos and Blacks are growing in rapid rates. Interracial births are at an all time high. The United States is becoming a little more browner. That's gotta to unravel some.

White nationalists allied with the Minutemen Border Movement patrolled the United States-Mexican border threatening and even possibly killing illegal immigrants.

J.T. Ready, a notorious figure in the White Supremacist circles lived in Arizona. A prominent fixture in Republican politics once tried to run for an Arizona County Sheriff post and was a poll watcher for elections. The often animated Ready would promote himself as the savior of the White race.

In Gilbert, Arizona, J.T. Ready killed his girlfriend, their daughter and other family members before he committed suicide.

Gilbert mass shooting: White supremacist J.T. Ready left tracks in politics

by on May. 02, 2012, under Arizona Republic News

J.T. Ready, the avowed White supremacist and militant critic of illegal immigration who authorities believe was the gunman in Wednesday’s multiple murder-suicide in Gilbert, cut a swath through Arizona politics before — and after — it became apparent he represented the far-right fringe of the political spectrum.

Along the way the barrel-chested former Marine became entwined for a time with one of the state’s most powerful political leaders and appeared on the radar of at least two national groups that track potentially violent extremist movements for his views and armed patrols of the Mexico border.

Authorities believe Ready, 39, shot and killed four people in a Gilbert home before turning a gun on himself.

Ready was allied briefly with former state Senate President Russell Pearce, and the two posed together for photographers during an anti-illegal-immigration rally at the state Capitol in June 2007. By the next year, as Ready’s ties to neo-Nazi and White supremacist groups became more apparent, Pearce disavowed him.

Pearce, who was defeated last November in a recall election, is now first vice chairman of the Arizona Republican Party and is running again for the Senate, this time from the new District 26 in Mesa.

Party spokesman Shane Wikfors said Pearce would not comment on Ready’s death. “He’s not going to want to have anything to do with him,” Wikfors said. “We categorically, absolutely had nothing to do with him.”

Marc Pitcavage, national director of investigative research for the Anti-Defamation League, said the group has long been aware of Ready’s activities.

The group’s website describes Ready as a “neo-Nazi and anti-immigrant extremist,” tracing his activities in Arizona from 2004 onward.

“We have monitored J.T. Ready for many years now,” Pitcavage said. It began with Ready’s early activities as a border vigilante but soon led to the realization that Ready was “a full-fledged White supremacist.”

For a time, Pitcavage said, Ready was a “mover and shaker” for the National Socialist Movement, a neo-Nazi group with about 330 members nationwide. Ready was one of the group’s two principal leaders in the Phoenix area, Pitcavage said.

An online biography of Ready includes several quotes in which he advocated restoring the country as a "White, European homeland,” called for militant action against Jews and advocated using “lawful, deadly force” when appropriate to protect the Mexican border.

Pitcavage said it would be premature to link Ready’s extreme political views to the explosion of violence that ended five lives on Wednesday. “When the shooting spree is directed toward family members, or what were essentially the closest thing he had to family members, those are usually personal rather than ideological motives,” Pitcavage said.

Ready also had been tracked by the Southern Poverty Law Center, an Alabama-based civil-rights organization that monitors hate and extremist groups. Like the ADL, the center carries a biography of Ready on its website.

It notes that Ready apparently got his start in politics as president of the Mesa Community College Republican Club and became increasingly involved in local issues in the early 2000s.

According to the SPLC biography, Ready received a bad-conduct discharge from the Marines in 1996, after being court-martialed twice — once for larceny and going AWOL, and once for conspiracy and assault.

The site also lists a 1992 criminal conviction for property damage and assault after he and a friend destroyed a car mirror with a baseball bat.

Ready ran for political office at least twice in Mesa and once as a write-in candidate for U.S. Senate. In 2004 he ran in the Republican primary for a House seat from District 18, which Pearce already represented.

In 2006 he ran for Mesa City Council from a heavily Hispanic district and finished second among four candidates.

During that council campaign, The Arizona Republic uncovered inconsistencies in the biography he had provided the newspaper and found that he had been convicted of assault in Florida when he was 18 years old.

Ready had claimed to be a founding member of the Arizona Minuteman Project, a border-vigilante group, but admitted that he was just a member, not a founder.

That campaign also featured a bizarre incident in which Ready, who earlier had solicited votes from the Hells Angels, traded shots with an illegal immigrant whom Ready believed was involved in criminal activity. Nobody was hurt.

A year later Ready caused a commotion at a Mesa City Council meeting when the mayor denied him permission to speak in opposition to a Mesa police detective who was campaigning against hate crimes.

Ready’s ties to Pearce became an issue during Pearce’s 2008 re-election campaign when a group called Mesa Deserves Better sent a mailer depicting Pearce as a friend of neo-Nazis.

Amid that campaign, three Arizona Republican congressmen sent a letter to the chairman of the Maricopa County Republican Party demanding Ready’s removal as a precinct committeeman in District 18 because of his neo-Nazi ties.

By that time, Ready had been in that post for two years and was not seeking re-election. “You can’t grow a party when you’re rallying with J.T. Ready,” U.S. Rep. Jeff Flake said at the time.

But Ready apparently was trying to re-enter politics this year and had formed a committee to seek the Democratic nomination for sheriff in Pinal County.

Shortly after Ready’s death became known Wednesday afternoon, someone posted this message on his Facebook page: “Reports are unconfirmed that a cartel assassination squad murdered J.T. Ready and several of his friends and family this afternoon in Gilbert, Arizona.”

Harry Hughes, who briefly headed Ready’s campaign committee for sheriff until he was promoted in the National Socialist Movement, said, “I got an e-mail from him the other day and everything seemed fine.”

“And I’ve always said, he was generous, caring, respectful most of the time as far as with friends and acquaintances, maybe not so much people on the other side,” Hughes said.

Republic reporter Lindsey Collom contributed to this article.

U.S. Army: Ted Nugent, No Concert For You!

The 1970s rock star and gun right advocate is once again embroiled in a controversy.

This time it earns hims a visit from the Secret Service. The rocker Ted Nugent went to the National Rifle Association annual convention in St. Louis and made a veil threat at President Barack Obama.

This isn't the first time, Nugent made comments toward President Barack Obama.

In 2008, then U.S. presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama were subjected to a profanity laced rant by the rock star in which he told Hillary Clinton to ".... his machine gun!"

The most recent statement from the rocker is a declaration that "[He] will either be 'dead or in jail’ if Obama us re-elected!"

Ted Nugent reluctantly endorsed Mitt Romney after the collapse of Republican candidates Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul.

After the controversies with Rush Limbaugh, Hank Williams, Jr., Glenn Beck, and Dr. Laura Schlesinger  many conservatives are trying to find rage with those who have liberal/progressive views.

The controversial libertarian comedian Bill Maher who's notorious for his no nonsense stance on issues, became the lightening rod for conservative outrage.

Sean Hannity in particular is obsessed with Bill Maher's measly $1 million donation to President Barack Obama's "Super Pac".

While Hannity's good friend Ted Nugent is popping off his firearms and his big mouth attacking President Barack Obama, the conservatives tend to defend the controversial statements.

Glenn Beck in particular has called his good ole' buddy Ted a "patriot" for his stances.

This marks the latest controversial statements from conservative entertainers.

Earlier this year, Patricia Heaton, best known for her role as Frankie Heck on The Middle and her role as Debra Barone in Everyone Loves Raymond made a controversial tweet about Sandra Fluke, a birth control advocate who was subjected to a partisan attack from Rush Limbaugh. She later deleted the comment and partially ended her Twitter usage. Heaton later apologized for her comments. The controversy lead to Rush Limbaugh losing over 100 radio advertising sponsors.

Hank Williams, Jr. was apparently drunk on the Fox & Friends program and he made an outrageous statement calling President Barack Obama, "Hitler" and saying Vice President Joe Biden and Governor John Kasich of Ohio along with the president are the "Three Stooges". He was later dropped from ESPN as the opening music act and spokesperson.

It was determined that Secret Service found Ted Nugent's comments weren't threatening towards President Barack Obama. But they're aware of his past statements.

Nugent never apologized for his comments, although he walked back his most harshest criticism of the president.

The aftermath has led to Nugent being pulled as act for the U.S. Army event at Fort Knox, Kentucky.

Nugent also facing a citation for shooting a black bear he illegally killed in southeastern Alaska during a hunting trip.

Ted Nugent appeared on White nationalist radio program The Political Cesspool with Stormfront host/contributor James Edwards in 2009.

The Political Cesspool Radio show is a conservative program that sponsors White supremacists and extremists. It's a part of Stormfront, a white nationalist online community.

A Muslim Woman Was Killed? I Am Assuming That Conservatives Don't Want Muslims Upset Over This Incident!

California Muslim Mother Beaten To Death, Left With Note Saying ‘Go Back To Your Country, You Terrorist’

By Ali Gharib

In the wake of the senseless killing of Trayvon Martin in Florida, another possible hate crime in California underscored the chasm between American values of equality and non-discrimination and incidents of intolerance.

A 32-year-old Iraqi victim of a brutal beating in her San Diego, California, home died yesterday when, with doctors’ expectations that she would not survive, her family removed her from life support. Shaima Alawadi’s family thinks the beating constitutes a hate crime, and police acknowledge the possibility.

Alawadi, a mother of five children aged 8 to 17, immigrated to the U.S. from Iraq in 1993. On Wednesday, her eldest daughter, Fatima al-Himidi, found Aalwadi “drowning in her own blood.” Al-Himidi said her mother was beaten with a tire iron. The daughter told San Diego’s KUSI television news that a note near her mother read, “Go back to your country, you terrorist.” (Another report said the note read, “Go back to your own country. You’re a terrorist.”)

“We’re not the terrorists,” al-Himidi said, speaking to the news camera, her voice shaky with emotion. “You are, whoever did it.”

The details of the story.

Iraqi woman fatally beaten in Calif. had fled Saddam's Iraq

EL CAJON, Calif. (AP) – Shaima Alawadi and her family fled Iraq nearly two decades ago as Saddam Hussein crushed a Shiite uprising, settling in the U.S. so they would no longer face persecution, a family friend said.

Alawadi, 32, grew up in the country's largest Iraqi enclaves, wore the Muslim headscarf and volunteered at the mosque.

Now, after her body was found severely beaten in her suburban San Diego home, police, the FBI and members of the Iraqi community are wondering whether her death was a hate crime or something else.
Among the evidence that police have collected is a threatening note that was near Alawadi's body. Her daughter told a television station that it said: "Go back to your country, you terrorist."

El Cajon Police Chief James Redman declined to discuss the contents of the note Monday, though he said that it has led police to regard the killing as a possible hate crime. He said he was confident the case would be solved.

"I want to stress there is other evidence in this case that we are looking at and the possibility this is a hate crime is just one aspect," Redman said.

"We don't have tunnel vision on this case," he said. "We're looking at the big picture."

Redman said he was confident it was an isolated incident but would not say why.

The death rippled across the world, with Alawadi's name being mentioned on Twitter and the case being discussed in Iraqi communities in the San Diego and Detroit suburbs. Lawmakers in Baghdad called for a full investigation.

Her slaying was being compared to that of Trayvon Martin, the unarmed Florida teen shot by a neighborhood watch volunteer, said Dawud Walid, executive director of the Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

"Trayvon was black wearing a hoodie. Shaima was wearing a hijab," Walid said, referring to the Muslim headscarf. "It's the same racist principle at play that killed both of these individuals."

Others were more guarded, saying they wanted to wait for the investigation to unfold.
"It is absolutely devastating for the family and the community, so we need move on very, very cautiously.

Emotions are high, but we need to make sure we let the professionals do what they need to do," said Hanif Mohebi, executive director of CAIR's San Diego chapter.

The chief said Alawadi died of severe head trauma. She was taken off life support Saturday, three days after her teenage daughter found her unconscious in the dining room of the family's El Cajon home, east of San Diego.

The victim's daughter, Fatima Al Himidi, told KUSI-TV in San Diego that her mother had been beaten on the head repeatedly with a tire iron, and the threatening note was next to her. Police would not confirm the type of weapon used in the attack.

Police said the family found another threatening note within the last month but did not report it to authorities. Mohebi said family members told him they dismissed the initial note as a prank.

The victim and her family fled Iraq in the early 1990s after a failed Shiite uprising, living in Saudi Arabian refugee camps before coming to the U.S., said Imam Husham Al-Husainy of the Karbalaa Islamic Education Center in Dearborn, Mich.

Saddam's troops hanged Alawadi's uncle.

"She lost her uncle by Saddam," he said, "and when they came here to seek freedom, she got killed."

The family arrived in the Detroit area in 1993 and later moved to San Diego. Shaima Alawadi was a religious Shiite Muslim who wore a hijab and volunteered at a mosque, Al-Husainy said.

Alawadi's father, Sayed Nabeel Alawadi, is a cleric in Iraq, said Al-Husainy, who described himself as a close family friend.

Hayder Al-Zayadi, a family friend, told the Detroit Free Press that Alawadi's brothers worked for the U.S. Army, serving as cultural advisers to train soldiers who were going to be deployed to the Middle East.

Another family friend told U-T San Diego that Alawadi's husband had a similar job. Redman said Alawadi's husband was currently on disability and didn't know his previous employment.

Flowers were set on the doorstep of the home Monday. One of the glass panels on a sliding back patio door was boarded up with wood. The backyard overlooks a middle school.

Alvin Luckenbach, who lives next door, exchanged pleasantries with Alawadi and her husband. He said she recently apologized for her kids making noise playing basketball on Alawadi's back patio.

"They were always nice," Luckenbach said.

The Iraqi foreign minister said Monday that Alawadi's body will be flown to Iraq.

The FBI, which is assisting El Cajon police in the investigation, defines a hate crime as an offense motivated by a bias against race, religion, ethnicity, disability or sexual orientation. There were 1,409 hate crimes nationwide based on religion during 2010, including 186 targeting Muslims. There were 1,040 based on ethnicity or national origin, including 359 targeting groups other than Hispanics.
