Palin: I'll Send Ya A Bear Skin, Piers!

Thanks but no thanks: Sarah Palin used this picture of her with a bear she shot to send a message to Piers Morgan
The washed up politico sends a parting shot literally at Piers Morgan's direction.

Stick it to the folks over at CNN and probably the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

The washed up politico once again prove to the American people that she's not running for president.

She's running for the television cameras and trying to regain the glory she once had when she was then a vice presidential nominee.

I am guessing since she's on Loserville as a "free agent", Palin Da Ass continues to show her ass on outlets she claim are "friendly" to her and the conservative extremists she supports.

Senator John McCain (R-Arizona) came as one of the worst candidates ever to run for president. He and the Palin Da Ass lost in a landslide against Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

Piers Morgan believes that the washed up politico is "worthless". That's an understatement!
Ever since this embarrassment, the former Alaskan governor and turd shoveling annoyance has rallied the nitwits to oppose everything President Obama.

Piers Morgan of CNN took to the internet to dismiss the washed up politico as a true idiot.

I have agree with him on this one.

Since she stated that she wasn't intending on running for president, many people are just pretty much turned off to her. They don't really want to cover her. They rather see her just disappear.

Although she still attracts thousands of supporters, most figure that she doesn't have the temperament to be the President Of The United States.

Colleen Ritzer & Michael Landsberry: Popular Teachers Murdered By Callous Teens!

The young woman who loved to teach was murdered by a student. Colleen Ritzer's amazing life is being shared by thousands of mourners worldwide.

A two-fer and a whole lot of discussion.

First things first. We here at Journal de la Reyna want to send our condolences to the families of Colleen Ritzer and Michael Landsberry. These two educators were murdered by reckless teenagers.

Also I want to send condolences to the family of Rebecca Sedwick, the young girl from Florida who was cyberbullied by two reckless teen girls. She would eventually commit suicide.

Each of these lives were loved and cherished. These lives were ruined by the irrational and callous actions of those who have no care whatsoever.

I've said it numerous times. Beware of the quiet, always seem nice "everyday man". The people who always say they never could be that person ARE LIKELY THAT PERSON!

The nice guys are the ones who will likely snap!

Those are the ones who feels like they've been bullied by their fellow peers.

They are often rejected by a lover. They're failing school or college because of heavy constraints. They're often never hired by a company, denied promotion or fired from a job. They feel like life at home is nothing but constant turmoil and nothing is getting better.

So what they do? Either they hurt themselves or hurt others because they have no escape.

They don't have outlets to channel rage. They don't share their feelings with loved ones. They destroy lives because they've been hurt. It's an ongoing issue with this. Millions of people are bullied. Bullying leads to suicide and mass murders. The bullied will either use two outlets of rage. Firearms or drugs.

 KEEPING IT HONEST

I don't want to jump to conclusions but I figured the 12-year old was being bullied. He aimed his semi-automatic firearm at two individuals before Landsberry put his life on the line to prevent the teen from committing another mass shooting. He died a hero.

Now on the Ritzer and Chism issue. I don't want to jump to conclusions but I think it could have been a teacher-student relationship. Those things often happen. The junk food media often elaborates on pretty female teachers getting in trouble for having sexual encounters with their students. Or it could have been a teen who was picked on and the teacher tried to offer advice. I don't know. Chism, clammed up because he knows he could spend the rest of his life in the iron college for this murder. Again, Ritzer was a hero. She helped motivate students through her young life. And I wished this situation would have ended differently.

Now of course, seeing that the suspect in this murder of Ritzer is Black, I am guessing the racist right will waste no time trying to blame the Black community, President Barack Obama, Trayvon Martin, Rev. Perm and Cut His Nuts Off Jackson.

Already, I can say that for every mass shooting in America, the racist right will gleefully say that it's not the guns that killed the people. They'll claim that mass shooter is a Democrat or a liberal. If the mass shooter was Black, automatic Obama supporter. The racist right will revolve around crime statistics in urban communities. Blame the junk food media for not covering a "BLACK ON WHITE" crime. And of course, the racist right will claim that President Barack Obama isn't going to speak on the issue.

Here's some examples of this never ending racism.

  • lol, guess what ? Colleen Ritzer was having sexual relations with that 14 year old "nigger"....like many predatory morally bankrupt sexually deviant white female teachers who sleep and have pedo-sex with underage black boys (because white men can't measure up to 14 year old boys ? buwuhahahahahahahahahaha!). Woogie Boogie Cracka!

Pick your poison!

I am just sharing an honest opinion of this situation. I am not condoning actions by those who are bullied. I would love for those who were victims of bullying to find outlets that can help them overcome the stress of being rejected.

The Department of Health and Human Services have numbers and agencies that can help motivate people with depression, mental issues and suicide prevention.
Michael Landsberry was a great teacher and helped motivate his students. He was killed by a deranged shooter who sought revenge on his fellow classmates. Landsberry prevented the shooter from murdering others. He was a military veteran.
I kind of wish that our educators will inform students more about the life of being a teenager.

Okay, a shooting happen on Monday in Sparks, Nevada.

A 12-year-old student who allegedly shot up a Nevada school on Monday may have been acting out his revenge, according to a student witness.

"He pointed to us and he said, 'You ruined my life and now I'm going to ruin yours,'" Sparks Middle School student Alfrancis de Vera, who was at the scene, told CBS News.

The gunman, whose name has not been released, shot and killed a teacher -- military veteran Michael Landsberry -- injured two classmates and then turned the gun on himself. The injured students, both 12, are reportedly in stable condition and are expected to survive.

In Danvers, Massachusetts, a very popular teacher was murdered by a 14-year old. This individual Philip Chism murdered Colleen Ritzer at Danvers High School. He is being charged as an adult in this case.

She was well-liked teacher. Her body was found slain in woods behind this quiet Massachusetts town's high school and the police would later arrest the 14-year-old boy who was found walking along a state highway overnight. He was charged with killing her.

Blood found in a second-floor school bathroom helped lead investigators to the body of Colleen Ritzer, a 24-year-old math teacher at Danvers High School who was reported missing when she didn't come home from work on Tuesday, Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett said.
Murder suspect Philip Chism.

"She was a very, very respected, loved teacher," Blodgett said.

The suspect, Philip Chism, was arraigned on a murder charge Wednesday and ordered held without bail. The teenager, described by classmates as soft-spoken and pleasant, also did not come home from school the day before and was spotted walking along Route 1 in the neighboring town of Topsfield at about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Officials didn't release a cause of death and haven't discussed a motive in the killing.

A court filing said Ritzer and Chism were known to each other from the high school, but it did not elaborate. The arrest was made based on statements by the suspect and corroborating evidence at multiple scenes, investigators said in court documents.

Ritzer's family said they are mourning the death of their "amazing, beautiful daughter and sister."

"Everyone that knew and loved Colleen knew of her passion for teaching and how she mentored each and every one of her students," the family said in a statement provided by her uncle Dale Webster.

At his arraignment in adult court in Salem, Chism's defense attorney argued for the proceeding to be closed and her client to be allowed to stay hidden because of his age. The judge denied the request. The lawyer, Denise Regan, declined to comment outside court.

The tall, lanky teenager had moved to Massachusetts from Tennessee before the start of the school year and was a top scorer on the school's junior varsity soccer team, said Kyle Cahill, a junior who also plays soccer. He said the team had been wondering where Chism was when he skipped a team dinner Tuesday night.

"We're all just a family. It just amazes me really," Cahill said. "He wasn't violent at all. He was really the opposite of aggressive."

Ritzer had a Twitter account where she gave homework assignments, encouraged students and described herself as a "math teacher often too excited about the topics I'm teaching."

She was a 2011 graduate of Assumption College in Worcester, a school spokeswoman said Wednesday. She graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in math, a minor in psychology and a secondary education concentration, according to the college's 2011 commencement program.

One of her former students, Chris Weimert, 17, said she was a warm, welcoming person who would stand outside her classroom and say hello to students she didn't teach. He said she had been at the school for two years.

"She was the nicest teacher anyone could ever have. She always had a warm smile on her face," he said.

Ryan Kelleher, a senior, said students related to the young teacher, who liked to wear jeans and UGG boots just like the teenagers she taught. Kelleher, who also plays soccer, said the arrest of the soft-spoken Chism didn't make sense to him.

"From what I know about him and seeing him every day, it just doesn't add up that he would do such a thing, unless this was all an act to fool somebody," the 17-year-old said.

Ritzer lived at home with her 20-year-old brother and her sister, a high school senior. The close-knit family was often outside, barbecuing, spending time together and enjoying each other's company, neighbors said.

Mary Duffy has lived next door to the Ritzers in the suburban neighborhood in Andover since the family moved there more than two decades ago. She had known Colleen Ritzer from the time she was a baby and said the Ritzers' oldest child had just one life ambition: to be a high school math teacher.

"All I ever heard is that she loved her job," Duffy said.

All public schools in Danvers, about 20 miles north of Boston, were closed Wednesday.

The high school's students were planning a candlelight vigil Wednesday evening.

Ritzer is the second teacher allegedly killed by a student in the U.S. this week. A Sparks, Nev., middle school teacher was allegedly shot by a 12-year-old student on Monday.

Conservative Outrage Over Obama Catching A Fainting Woman!

A woman faints and the president catches her. Conservatives go bananas over it.

Where's Erick Erickson when you need him?

He said that all this overreaction to everything that President Barack Obama does is going to doom the Republicans and its conservatives allies.

Erickson is right. There are too many outrage pimps on both sides of the aisle whipping the respective bases into a frenzy and fury against the other side. Americans shouldn't waste their time on being outraged by all things Obama. It's going to tune people out.

Erickson wrote that his conservative friends in the junk food media are spending too much time getting outraged over the most simplistic things caused by the president. He said that it makes conservatives sound like a bunch of sore losers. Americans find Republicans in charge of Congress is a bad idea. The plans rolled out by Republicans aren't effective. The Republican Party and it's conservative allies are stuffy, humorless, angry opponents of the President instead of happy warriors selling better ideas.

Conservatives, frankly, have become purveyors of outrage instead of preachers for a cause. Instead of showing how increasing government harms people, how free markets help people, and how conservative policies benefit all Americans, we scream “Benghazi” and “Fast & Furious.”
Right wing racist im41 makes fun of ill woman.
Erickson was right on two things. Examples like King Hippo (Rush Limbaugh), That Guy Who Throws Shit On The Wall (Matt Drudge), Loserville (Fox News) and That Guy Who Helped Obama Win (Sean Hannity) are professional victims dialed up to 10 on the outrage meter.

Who the hell wants to listen to conservatives whining and moaning all the time about the outrage du jour?

Perennial loser Mitt Romney ran a campaign on just how bad things are, but he was rejected by a majority of Americans who felt like he really did not care about them and really had no plans to improve their lives.

He said that Republicans can win if they have a "decent message" and appeal to people who aren't focused on the president 24/7. It seems like I mention these four notorious agitators frequently.

I am hoping that these agitators will be the sole reasons to helping Democrats retake the Congress and win the 2016 presidency. If these things should happen, maybe conservatives will turn off the radio and find other sources of news.

When it splashes on That Guy Who Throws Shit To The Wall's website. Liberal and conservative agitators will talk about this story and work their audience into a frenzy.

The person who fainted will get death threats and ferocious vitriol from the internet gadflies.

Some gadflies will try to leak her photos to the press. Some will try to find her social networking activities and exploit them for personal gains.

The person will make the news rounds. For the time being, she'll be the face of the nation.

She even has a blog. So I am expecting that within a few days, she'll be hit with random comments. Some of the word vomit will include death threats, insults on her character, praise and sympathy.

The president has to admit that Affordable Healthcare Act (Healthcare Marketplace) website has errors and he was telling the American people that you must have patience. He offered a number to help people out if they're having problems signing up.

Of course, Republicans pounced on the healthcare law and they've signaled another attempt to delay or repeal the law.

Sometimes you can't fix stupid. And yet, the Republicans continue on this wayward march to self-destruction.

President Obama's speech on Monday morning was briefly interrupted when a young woman standing behind him appeared to come close to fainting. The president turned around to make sure she was alright, saying, "I got you, you're ok," before she was helped away by others nearby.

The woman, identified as Karmel Allison, suffers from Type 1 diabetes. She also announced on her blog last week that she is pregnant.

"This is what happens when I talk too long," Obama joked before wrapping up his speech.

Of course we here at Journal de la Reyna wish Karmel Allison well. Hope the best for her on her journey to motherhood. Stay strong and ignore the vitriol of hate from the likes of those in the junk food media.

GA Teen Rescued After An Armed Robbery And Kidnapping!

Teen was kidnapped by armed robbers. Found safe in Atlanta suburbs.

Ayvani Hope Perez, was found safe today after the law found her in the suburban Atlanta area of Conyers, Georgia. The nation is relieved that her young life was spared today.

The young teen along with her brother and mother were held hostage by two individuals who demanded money. The two individuals ended up shooting and killing their family dog. When the neighbors tipped off the law to a gun going off, the two individuals panicked and took the girl as "collateral".

There were suspects. These individuals are being sought. Two others were caught after botched robbery and kidnapping.

The suspects who would later be sought after and caught. They were caught after numerous tips led to the whereabouts of the young girl's location.

Clayton County Police Chief Gregory Porter in a press conference this afternoon. "This is a good day for the family," Porter said.

He credited "hardcore law enforcement, boots to the ground," for helping authorities locate the teen, who he said was found in good health but is undergoing an evaluation.

The teen has since been reunited with her family, Porter said, and two suspects have been taken into custody.

The suspects were identified by the FBI as Wildrego Jackson of Atlanta, and Juan Alberto Contreras-Rodriguez, a 40-year-old Mexican national who is being held on immigration-related charges.

This is an open investigation because the individuals arrested weren't the ones who were described in the mugshot detail.

Perez was in her pajamas when police say two men broke in the back door of her Ellenwood, Georgia., home Tuesday at 2:15 a.m. looking for jewelry and money. When Perez's mother said the family didn't have any, the suspects shot the family dog and fled the home with Perez, according to police.

The family had just moved to Ellenwood, a small community about 10 miles southeast of Atlanta, a month ago and police believed they had no connection to the abductors.

Zimmerman: Got Myself A New Gun!

The most hated man in the United States emerges once again. The guy who was acquitted of a murder goes into a gun store and what could he be purchasing? A new assault weapon.

He's doing a victory lap in his hoodie!

George Zimmerman and his awful family once again emerge out of the cesspool to bloviate over Black youths committing crime in America.

Robert Zimmerman goes to Loserville. He appears on That Guy Who Helped Obama Win's program with one of those fill-in assholes and let's loose on the situations in Washington and Oklahoma. That fill-in asshole is David Webb, a Black tin soldier of the Racist Right.

George goes to the gun shop while in "hiding". He was at a Florida gun store and took a picture apparently with the owner of the store.

In the Chris Lane murder, three teens were arrested in the killing. The Daily Nothing managed to peak into the social networks of one of the individuals. One had went to the social networks to vent off his disgust of White people and the racist right has proof positive that the individual was intentionally murdering White people.

Clearly ignoring that an accomplice was White. Another target of their "thrill kill" was Black and the father and his son ended the juvenile's murder spree.

Seeing that Robert Zimmerman and Frank Taaffe are getting interviews over CNN or Loserville, one would think that they would talk about the gun culture. Nope. It's another, "We told you Blacks were violent" theme.
0822-george-zimmerman-ksg
The type of firearm Zimmerman found interest in.
Seeing that a man went into a suburban Atlanta school was talked out of committing a massacre. No praise from the likes of Robert Zimmerman to the woman who used her mouth instead of a firearm. Kind of wished that his brother George would have used his mouth.

Yeah, The U.S. Justice Department is still considering charging George Zimmerman with a hate crime. It's hard to prove since he's was acquitted on murder charges.

Being a marked man does require to have safety precautions. Some of these precautions include Zimmerman going into a firearm store to purchase

An entertainment news website is reporting that George Zimmerman this week visited the Florida headquarters of the gun manufacturer that made the pistol used to kill Trayvon Martin.

According to TMZ.com, Zimmerman went to Kel-Tec CNC Industries in Cocoa on Thursday to shop for a 12-gauge shotgun capable of firing 12 times before reloading.

However, Kel-Tec's website states no firearms are sold at the Cocoa plant.

The Orlando Sentinel added that Zimmerman was acquitted of murder in July in the February 2012 killing in Sanford of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.

Zimmerman shot him once with a 9 mm. Kel-Tec PF-9 pistol.

Zimmerman posed for a photo with an employee of the company inside the assembly plant at Kel-Tec CNC Industries, but it's unknown whether he bought the KSG model tactical shotgun he was asking about, according to the website.

Zimmerman shot the South Florida teen to death in February 2012 in Sanford, claiming self-defense.

The jury's not-guilty verdict sparked protest and criticism of Florida's stand-your ground law.

GOP Pulls The Plug On CNN and NBC!

Still search for the rainbow. The Republican chairman Reince Priebus is upset over CNN and NBC plans to produce biographies on Hillary Clinton. Probably isolating more voters. They're weaker than I've thought!

The Republican National Committee voted to ban CNN and Obama News from participating in the 2015 - 2016 Republican primary debates. They have decided that the possibility of making a documentary on the life of Hillary Clinton was too much for them to swallow.

Seeing how desperate the Republicans are, they've lashed out at two media giants at their own peril.

See you can't have every debate on Loserville. It's obvious that Loserville is the Republican talking points network because it's coverage is like a Republican campaign ad.

Chairman Reince Priebus is still searching for the rainbow. That Republican rainbow is mostly WHITE.

I guess this threat is real. Since the networks are full steam ahead on the bios, CNN and Obama News are dropped. The vote was unanimous.

Priebus said CNN has "an obvious bias."
Republicans whining about Hillary Clinton got CNN and NBC banned from debates. Republicans applaud Loserville for anti-Obama stories and George W. Bush bios.
"That's a network that won't be hosting a single Republican primary debate," Priebus declared, receiving a standing ovation from Republican activists from across the country gathered for the committee's summer meeting in Boston.

In a statement, CNN said a division of the company planned to air a documentary about Clinton in 2014.

"The project is in the very early stages of development, months from completion," the CNN statement read. "We encouraged all interested parties to wait until the program premieres before judgments are made about it. Unfortunately, the RNC was not willing to do that."

Even before the Clinton dispute, Republican leaders favored plans to have fewer presidential debates with more friendly moderators. They believe their 2012 presidential candidates spent too much time beating up on each other in last year's monthslong primary season, contributing to Mitt Romney's loss.

"Our party should not be involved in setting up a system that encourages the slicing and dicing of candidates over a long period of time with moderators that are not in the business of being at all concerned about the future of our party," Priebus told reporters.

Democratic National Committee spokesman Michael Czin criticized Friday's vote.

"Instead of modifying their policies to actually present smart solutions for middle class families, the only thing the GOP can unite behind is a plan to continue to limit the audiences and voters to whom they will communicate," he said.

And to that is a big shrug and sigh.

They're really afraid of Hillary Clinton. They can't stand her. They really can't stand President Barack Obama. They've shown the president more disrespect since he's taken office in 2009.

The Republican Party is on the slow path to becoming the Whigs. Soon the factions will fight with on another. Then they'll split.

The libertarians will feud with the establishment. The moderates will fight against the conservatives. The Tea Party will fight against the Republican leadership. These deep divisions are known.
Republicans fear Hillary Clinton could be the next President of The United States.
Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, Senator Ted Cruz of Texas and New Jersey governor Chris Christie have put the family business out there.

And while they're all unified against President Barack Obama, I'll bet you that if Hillary Clinton should run, the Republicans will eventually throw everything at her and end up costing the election once again.

No candidate from both parties seems viable to be president. The only person I see viable as the President of the United States is San Antonio mayor Julian Castro.

Hopefully he'll be able to take an opportunity to explore his opinions.

Of course, I believe the CNN and Obama News ban is temporary. They'll regret cutting off the networks.

Not all Republicans watch Loserville.

Al Jazeera America: [We're] Not Fox Or MSNBC!

Tuesday launches the newest player in the cable news agitating industry. Al Jazeera America is coming to the households of 40 million viewers.

It's a start, right?

Okay, we all know that the country's most ignorant minds won't see this network as award winning journalism. These individuals will see this network as the voice of terrorism and Islamic extremism.

But Al Jazeera America is dismissing that notion. The network is promising that it's news programs will cover issues that the three cable news agitators refuse to talk about.

They make it clear that they're will be no junk food media stories.

Ali Velshi, David Schuster, Sheila MacVicar and even legendary anchor Soledad O'Brien have joined the network.

Time Warner, the nation's largest cable provider has threatened to not put Al Jazeera on the lineup.

They fear the potential of a backlash or the possibility of competing with CNN, a product of Time Warner.

In my honest opinion, I think it's a great way to get the news agitators thinking. Al Jazeera is a network that has straight news and award winning documentaries in a market that lavishes on controversy. Sometimes having controversy is a good thing especially if you're a network that gives both sides to an issue.

I expect the folks over at CNN, Loserville and Obama News will have something to say about the network!

If given the opportunity, I'll watch it!

What's you're thought on it?

Holder: We're Locking Up Too Many Minor Drug Offenders!

Attorney General Eric Holder weighs in on the Congress proposals to curb back some drug violation laws.

The Attorney General of the United States has declared that the U.S. drug laws are way too harsh and he's working on trying to motivate this 'do nothing Congress" to pass some legislation that may curb on the mandatory sentencing for possession of illegal narcotics.

The clear step to an eventual legalization of marijuana is decriminalize the punishments that are handed out.

Many Americans are locked in the iron college for having a small baggy of the good and the punishment could put them in for up to five years.

Many in law enforcement are hoping to find ways to curb the epidemic of heroin, methamphetamine, and cocaine in communities.

Attorney General Eric Holder hopes to bring an issue to the forefront.

CNN reports that the Justice Department will no longer pursue mandatory minimum sentences for certain low-level, nonviolent drug offenders, Attorney General Eric Holder said Monday, noting the nation is "coldly efficient in jailing criminals," but that it "cannot prosecute or incarcerate" its way to becoming safer.

"Too many Americans go to too many prisons for far too long, and for no truly good law enforcement reason," Holder told the American Bar Association's House of Delegates in San Francisco.

He questioned some assumptions about the criminal justice system's approach to the "war on drugs," saying that excessive incarceration has been an "ineffective and unsustainable" part of it.

Although he said the United States should not abandon being tough on crime, Holder embraced steps to address "shameful" racial disparities in sentencing, the budgetary strains of overpopulated prisons and policies for incarceration that punish and rehabilitate, "not merely to warehouse and forget."

Holder invoked President Barack Obama, saying the two had been talking about the issues and agreed to try to "strike a balance" that clears the way for a "pragmatic" and "commonsense" solutions to enhance public safety and the "public good."

The centerpiece of Holder's plan is to scale back prosecution for certain drug offenders -- those with no ties to large-scale organizations, gangs or cartels. He said they would no longer be charged with offenses that "impose draconian mandatory minimum sentences."

They now "will be charged with offenses for which the accompanying sentences are better suited to their individual conduct, rather than excessive prison terms more appropriate for violent criminals or drug kingpins."

The changes are effective immediately.

Lessening the use of mandatory minimums -- sentences that require a "one-size-fits-all" punishment for those convicted of federal and state crimes -- could mark the end of the tough-on-crime era that began with strict anti-drug laws in the 1970s and accelerated with mandatory minimum prison sentences and so-called three-strikes laws.

Opinion: Shame of mandatory minimums shows in Marissa Alexander case

The attorney general linked the effort to rethink mandatory minimum sentencing for drug crimes to key issues.

Racial disparities

Holder said "unwarranted disparities are far too common" in the criminal justice system, reminding his audience that Obama alluded to some of the issues in remarks he made after the acquittal of George Zimmerman in the death of Trayvon Martin last month, giving voice to African-American concerns that "there is a history of racial disparities in the application of our criminal laws -- everything from the death penalty to enforcement of our drug laws."

Holder said the nation "must confront the reality" that once "people of color" are in the criminal justice system, they "often face harsher punishments than their peers." He called it "unacceptable," "shameful" and "unworthy" of the U.S. legal tradition.

Prison overcrowding

Holder said the U.S. prison population has grown by almost 800% since 1980, and federal prisons are operating at nearly 40% above capacity.

"Even though this country comprises just 5% of the world's population, we incarcerate almost a quarter of the world's prisoners. More than 219,000 federal inmates are currently behind bars," he said, noting that almost half are serving time for drug-related crimes and have substance abuse problems.

Moreover, he said 9 million to 10 million more people cycle through America's local jails each year. And roughly 40% of former federal prisoners -- and more than 60% of former state prisoners -- are rearrested or have their supervision revoked within three years after their release.

It was not immediately clear Monday whether Holder's announcement would have any impact on people already in prison.

Economic, social burden

Holder said overcrowding at the federal, state and local levels is "both ineffective and unsustainable." He said it imposes a significant economic burden -- totaling $80 billion in 2010 alone -- and it comes with "human and moral costs that are impossible to calculate."

Legislation to lessen the use of mandatory minimums, Holder said, would ultimately save the United States billions.

Holder going after Texas voting law

Although Obama administration officials say the changes they are pursuing will not require congressional approval, some unlikely pairs of lawmakers have united to push for criminal justice changes.

Democratic Sen. Patrick Leahy of Vermont and Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky have worked together to allow judges to depart from mandatory minimum sentences when circumstances merit.

Democratic Sen. Richard Durbin of Illinois and Republican Sen. Mike Lee of Utah have undertaken similar efforts.

Holder blasts 'stand your ground'

In recent years, there has been a rise in support among conservatives for reforms to the criminal justice system. While more flexible approaches to crimes have long held support among liberal Democrats, the fear of being tarred as weak on crime by Republican opponents has long caused moderate Democrats, particularly those running for president, to avoid the issue.

In addition to changes to mandatory minimums, Holder called for expanding the use of "compassionate release" from jail for those who "pose no threat to the public."

He also said the Justice Department is taking steps to identify practices for enhancing the use of drug treatment and community service programs as alternatives to jail.

Holder also said he has asked federal prosecutors to develop new guidelines for determining when federal charges should be filed and when they should not.

"I've also issued guidance to ensure that every case we bring serves a substantial federal interest and complements the work of our law enforcement partners," he said.

Holder additionally directed prosecutors to create comprehensive anti-violence strategies for badly afflicted areas.

Holder not afraid to take on race debate

The American Civil Liberties Union praised Holder's approach Monday, calling it an important step toward ending federal prison overcrowding and creating a "fairer criminal justice system."

Laura Murphy, director of the ACLU's Washington legislative office, said in a news release, however, that although Holder's announcement "is an important first step," Congress also must act to change laws that "lock up hundreds of thousands of Americans unfairly and unnecessarily."

Michael Mukasey, a former judge and an attorney general under President George W. Bush, said he is not a fan of mandatory minimums, but he does not support what Holder is doing.

"I generally agree with the goal of getting rid of mandatory minimums," said Mukasey. "But the way to do that is to pass a law," he said in an interview on CNN's "The Lead with Jake Tapper."

CNN's Carol Cratty and Jessica Yellin contributed to this report.

Taaffe Time!

The "friend" of acquitted shooter George Zimmerman is chatting with White extremists. He surely acts like one!

The controversial verdict in Sanford, Florida has opened up a major divide among the Black and White race.

The U.S. Justice Department is looking into the case.

Many Whites (especially conservative minded individuals) felt that the acquitted shooter George Zimmerman was in the right when decided to pull the trigger killing of Trayvon Martin. They believe that President Barack Obama, Rev. Perm, Cut His Nuts Off Jackson, and Attorney General Eric Holder rushed to judgement. They believe that these men had no business turning this situation into a "race event".

Many Whites (especially conservative minded individuals) believe that Trayvon Martin was the aggressor.

Even though, Zimmerman was told not to follow Martin, Whites (especially conservative minded individuals) believe that Martin was first to attack the acquitted shooter.

Whites (especially conservative minded individuals) believe in the talking points that Rachel Jeantel lied under oath, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin are money hungry whores, Trayvon Martin pounded Zimmerman's head to the ground MMA-style, and this whole ordeal isn't about race.

Some of the most controversial figures in the defense of Zimmerman have a history.

Besides That Guy Who Helped Obama Win (aka That Scumbag On Loserville), there's Ted Nugent.

That Guy Who Helped Obama Win was the first to get the talking points and interview with Zimmerman.

Nugent was going to conservative blogs to call Trayvon Martin, a "dope smoking wannabe gangsta" who got "justice" at the taste of a gun!

We haven't forgotten about his dad and brother. Robert Zimmerman, Sr. and Robert, Jr. have been on the speaking tour as of lately. Robert, Jr. was on the social networks making some racially tingling statements about Black youths and crime. Robert, Sr. has written a book on the case and he slams the NAACP, the family of Trayvon Martin and the liberal media for painting his son as the "devil".
Frank Taaffe may have influenced the mindset of George Zimmerman, the acquitted shooter of Trayvon Martin.
This character today was missed by the liberal agitators. This character appeared over 40 times on HLN (Headline News) has said some outrageous things while on Dr. Drew On Call. He gets into a bout with these Black extremists named Shahrazad Ali and Crystal Wright.

Even on social networks he's been a truly condescending asshole.

This character was featured on CNN, Loserville, Obama News and other outlets. He's been promoting himself as the "unofficial spokesperson" of George Zimmerman.

He said some pretty racially-charged statements about Trayvon Martin, his family and the Black community in general.

How could we have missed this?

There's nothing worse than hearing this Frank Taafee character. He's a product of these White extremists.

This knucklehead has been on the television calling Trayvon Martin a "hoodlum" and Rachel Jeantel "Precious".

Mother Jones got a bombshell out there. They write that this man was arrested for driving under the influence. This man was also a feature on a white extremist podcast.

Now it's clear that Taaffe's statements may have gave the theory that Zimmerman may have "racially profiled" Trayvon Martin.

How could we not have seen this coming?

Mother Jones also noted that Taaffe isn't the first member of Zimmerman's circle to be caught making racially charged statements. In March, Zimmerman's brother, Robert Zimmerman Jr. (another outspoken defender), tweeted a photo of a black Georgia teenager who allegedly murdered a one-year-old boy with a gunshot to the face, alongside a picture of Trayvon Martin. Both teens were flipping off the camera. The caption read, "A picture speaks a thousand words. Any questions?"

CNN and its sister network, HLN, have repeatedly invited Taaffe to weigh in on legal and technical aspects of the Zimmerman case, from the implications of witness testimony to the meaning of forensic evidence, such as the grass stains found on Martin's pants.

Taaffe sparred on-air with attorneys about the finer points of criminal law and tangled with forensic experts—including Lawrence Kobilinsky, the chair of the science department at John Jay College of Criminal Justice—over whether the small quantity of THC in Martin's blood could have made him violent. (Taaffe insisted that it could; Kobilinsky called this argument a "red herring.")

Past interview with Soledad O'Brien. Yahoo News obtains a portion of the transcripts of the interview between Soledad O'Brien and this asshole.

The asshole said to her that: "[My house] was being robbed, and George on his nightly rounds watched this burglary in progress, called Sanford P.D., waited for them, and helped ensure that nothing bad happened to my house," Taaffe said. "And it's documented in the 911 call for February 2.  That was my residence that George Zimmerman helped stop." Zimmerman shot and killed Martin on Feb. 26.

"Neighbor-hood, that's a great word," Taaffe said.

Taaffe said that "young black males" were the perpetrators in the attempted robbery of his home. "We had eight burglaries in our neighborhood all perpetrated by young black males in the 15 months prior to Trayvon being shot," Taaffe said. "It would have been nine."

Taaffe denied that he told the New York Times that burglaries were done by "Trayvon-like dudes with their pants down."

"I never said that," he said. "I never used that term."

But on CNN, Taaffe followed up the denial of an incendiary comment with another one.

When asked if, based on the string of robberies, Zimmerman should have been profiling Trayvon Martin the night of the shooting, Taaffe said: "There's an old saying, 'If you plant corn, you get corn,'"

"It is what it is," he added. "I would go on record by stating that of the eight prior burglaries in the 15 months prior to the Trayvon Martin shooting, all of the perpetrators were young black males."'

Man, how could we have missed this one?

I'm still pounding my head into the concrete.

No pun intended.
