Volodymyr Zelenskyy: This Is Not A Joke! We Are Fighting For Survival!

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy speaks to America on Ukraine's fight for survival.

A former comedian turned politician now is a war time leader of a country of the former Soviet Union.

The president is urging world leaders to stand firm against the Kremlin's offensive attack on his country.

The President of Ukraine came to the United States for a Joint Session of Congress. He met with President Joe Biden, spoke in the presence of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) , Vice President Kamala Harris and the lawmakers.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy tells Congress that there's a turning point to the fight against Russia. The Federation president Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine and targeted eastern oblasts and the country's capital of Kyiv.

Biden has promised the Ukrainian president that the country will abide in its fight by supplying weapons but vowed to stay out the matter. If the U.S. and NATO interfere, it will lead to World War III.

So far, Ukraine has taken back land only for the Russians to use more aggressive tactics.

Putin is hinting nuclear offense.

Zelenskyy addressed Congress as lawmakers are set to vote on $45 billion more in emergency aid as part of a larger spending package. Biden on Wednesday also announced the U.S. will send Ukraine a Patriot anti-missile battery to defend against devastating Russian attacks.

In a virtual address to U.S. lawmakers back in March, Zelenskyy emotionally pleaded for more aggressive measures to help fight the war. Invoking key American tragedies, including Pearl Harbor and the Sept. 11 attacks, Zelenskyy told members at the time, "Just remember it … Our country experiences the same every day right now."

California Republican Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, the likely next House speaker, stood and clapped along with other lawmakers at nearly every interval.

Some other Republicans, including Reps. Jim Jordan (Ohio), Andrew Clyde (Georgia), Matt Gaetz (Florida) and Lauren Boebert (Colorado), stood for less than half of the ovations but were seen repeatedly clapping as well.

Gaetz appeared to be on his phone through the speech. At one point he showed Boebert something with a smile

Gaetz has been critical of future Ukrainian aid while McCarthy has called for Republicans to ensure accountability on how it is used.

Picture this... had Benjamin Netanyahu showed up, the Republicans would hand him a blank check. But for Zelenskyy, had he gave in to Washed Up 45's illegal demand to investigate Biden for military aid, the Republicans wouldn't be like this.
