MSNBC is proud to announce that Symone Sanders will be hosting a weekend show during the afternoons.
The show titled "Symone" will premiere today at 4pm and it will be hosted by the former advisor to Vice President Kamala Harris.
Sanders who rose to prominence during the 2016 presidential campaign as a campaign advisor to Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) during his first presidential run. After Sanders left the race, she ended up as a political commentator on CNN. She stayed on the network for three years before joining Joe Biden's 2020 presidential campaign.
She helped build Biden's base with Black voters and helped his struggling campaign turn it around.
According to MSNBC, Symone "will explore issues at the intersection of politics, culture, and race and featuring interviews with the nation's top government officials, scholars and thought leaders."
Sanders left the White House in December. MSNBC announced they hired her shortly after the departure.
MSNBC is trying to court former White House press secretary Jen Psaki. She is being courted to possibly replace Rachel Maddow who officially took The Rachel Maddow Show on Mondays and Ali Velshi to host MSNBC Primetime from Tuesday until Friday. He will also be hosting Velshi on the weekends.
Symone will have First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden on the premiere of her show. The First Lady will be traveling to Romania and Slovakia to meet with Ukranian refugees and their children. She will spend mother's day advocating for the end of the conflict in Ukraine from the Russian forces.
