They often spend hours and lots of money. Gambling is big in the Midwest. Since Ohio became the latest state to allow statewide gaming facilities, the state has earned an estimated $5.9 billion in revenue.
The cities that have casinos include: Cincinnati, Toledo, Columbus and Cleveland.
The cities that have racinos include: Cincinnati, Cleveland/Akron (2), Youngstown, Columbus, Dayton and Monroe.
Donald J. Trump is a former casino magnate. He once owned numerous casinos in the United States.
Like most of his projects, they all ended in disaster leaving thousands out of jobs.
In a few months, you will see changes in Cincinnati. The Jack Casino in downtown Cincinnati will be renamed Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati.
Hard Rock International is buying Jack Cincinnati and Turfway Park in Florence, Kentucky. These two area businesses will be converted.

Hard Rock International and VICI Properties has bought the properties for nearly $1 billion.
"We look forward to introducing our unique brand of casino entertainment to Cincinnati," said Jim Allen, the CEO of Hard Rock International.
Hard Rock will be taking over operating assets of the casino. They will change the name and VICI will own the land and real estate assets as a part of the joint venture.
The Jack Casino formerly was named The Horseshoe now goes through another name change.
This is the third name change for the downtown Cincinnati casino. The casino sits between Reading Road (U.S. 42) and Gilbert Avenue (U.S. 22 and Ohio State Route 3).
The casinos in the Cincinnati market include Jack (Hard Rock Casino), Belterra Park in east Cincinnati, Miami Valley Gaming in Monroe, Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway and Rising Star Casino in Rising Sun, Indiana.
Cincinnati is metropolis that includes Wilmington, Lebanon, Middletown, Hamilton, Fairfield, Oxford in Ohio. It includes Covington, Newport, Maysville, Florence, Erlanger, Alexandria and Walton in Kentucky. It includes Lawrenceburg, Aurora, St. Leon, Versailles, Liberty and Rising Sun in Indiana.
The major highways that surround the Cincinnati area include Interstate 75, Interstate 71, Interstate 74, Interstate 275, Interstate 471, Ohio State Route 32, the Norwood Lateral, the Ronald Reagan Highway, Ohio State Route 129 and the Kentucky Double AA Highway.
Side note: Ohio is going to have a second Major League Soccer franchise. FC Cincinnati will make its debut as a MLS team in 2019. It will be playing at Nippert Stadium until its new stadium West End will be opened.
The other city with a major soccer franchise is Columbus. The Columbus Crew will build a new stadium and maintain its original franchise. The franchise was threatening to move to Austin, Texas in 2018.
The Over The Rhine neighborhood will face a gentrification. They will push the low-income out of the area. They will push the drugs, prostitution and taggers into other areas.
