After seven years of being holed up in an Ecuadorian embassy, Julian Assange is dragged out by British authorities. |
Julian Assange is being forced out the Ecuadorian embassy in the United Kingdom ending a seven year occupancy. The signs were there. He was making a mess of the place. They warned him to not make any more communications without permission. They stripped him of internet access.
During that time, he grew a longer beard, hairline receding and looks like a hermit.
The Australian hacker now is heading to a British court to face charges for eluding authorities.
Assange who is being sought by the U.S. government for leaking classified information and meddling in the 2016 presidential election is now at risk of being detained and extradited.
Assange became a household name when then former U.S. Army intelligence officer Bradley Manning leaked thousands of military documents and video footage to Wikileaks.
Wikileaks leaked the information showing American forces committing war crimes. The hacking into government computers was a federal crime but it was done in accountable journalism says Assange.
Manning who transitioned into Chelsea was arrested, convicted and served seven of her 35 year federal time out. Barack Obama commented her sentence.
Manning is back in federal time out after failure to appear in front of a grand jury and was found in contempt of court. The charges could put Manning in federal time out for 10 years. Manning is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Assange became a vocal opponent of Obama and the far-white were calling for his immediate arrest. Back then, Sean "Softball" Hannity was the most vocal critic of Assange. He even said that Assange was a cyber terrorist.
All of that changed in 2016. When Assange promised to leak damaging information about Hillary Clinton, Softball Hannity was praising the decision.
Matter of fact, Donald J. Trump was praising Wikileaks. He infamously said that it would be beneficial if the Russian government would find the missing emails of Hillary Clinton. That decision was part of the Robert Mueller probe.
Assange was being catered by the Ecuadorian government. Actress Pamela Anderson, former Republican California Congressman Dana Rohrabacher, far white troll Chuck Johnson and Softball Hannity have personally met with Assange.
Each of these individuals were placed on federal watch. The U.S. government had placed a public indictment on Assange for 2010's leak.
Assange would appear on many cable news channels to denounce the United States government's accusations that he secretly work with the Russian government the help Trump win.
Assange claimed that Seth Rich gave the information to Wikileaks. That was debunked. The far-white and Softball Hannity elevated that kookspiracy. The softball lost advertising and was warned by higher ups at Fox News to stop promoting bullshit.
Assange had given information tips to Roger Stone.
Stone who is under federal indictment is facing up to 10 years in federal time out. Stone allegedly lied to prosecutors when he said he never met Assange or arranged the leaking of DNC emails.
Today's arrest makes it clear that Assange is not above the law. The British government will make formal arrangements to extradite him to the United States.
Assange is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
