Roseanne cancelled. Roseanne Barr destroyed her show by her racist remarks. |
Breaking.
Roseanne was cancelled. The second season was scrapped immediately after Roseanne Barr made inappropriate comments (uh, racist) about Valerie Jarrett.
Barr compared Jarrett to an ape birthed from the Muslim Brotherhood.
ABC quickly responded to the controversy by sending a message.
Barr responded to social media with a tepid apology.
I apologize to Valerie Jarrett and to all Americans. I am truly sorry for making a bad joke about her politics and her looks. I should have known better. Forgive me-my joke was in bad taste.— Roseanne Barr (@therealroseanne) May 29, 2018
I apologize. I am now leaving Twitter.— Roseanne Barr (@therealroseanne) May 29, 2018
Co-star and executive producer Sara Gilbert was not happy about Roseanne making these remarks.
Gilbert, Laurie Metcalf, John Goodman and Wanda Sykes were featured on the show.
Gilbert is the co host and creator of CBS The Talk. She will discuss the controversy.
This is the biggest shock in the junk food media.
Roseanne Barr is now officially a washed up celebrity.
