Ohio Might Pass A Stand Your Ground Law!

Great, another state planning on passing a vigilante law.

Ohio lawmakers are trying to pass a "stand your ground" law similar to Florida.

You may remember that Florida passed that law giving George Zimmerman the opportunity to kill Trayvon Martin, an unarmed teenager who was confronted by the armed neighborhood watch patroller.

This bill will strengthen more gun freedom.

Under current Ohio law, you may use a firearm in the defense of home, your personal car or a family member's car.

Ohio House Bill 228 would loosen rules.

  • shift the burden of proof in self-defense cases from the defendant to the prosecutor
  • scrap requirements that K-12 schools, police stations, courthouses, airports and other public sector locations post signs declaring themselves gun-free zones
  • reduce certain concealed handgun violations to minor misdemeanors
John Kasich said he will veto this law if Ohio Republicans manage to pass this through.

The law is being sponsored by two state lawmakers. Terry Johnson and Sarah LaTourette are fucking morons. End of discussion.

Ohio needs jobs and better roads. Not idiots running around thinking their judge, jury and executioner.
