New York Times Critic Calls Shonda Rhimes An "Angry Black Woman!"

Kerry Washington with Shonda Rhimes. Washington is the star of ABC's hit drama Scandal. Rhimes created Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, Private Practice and co-signed the production of Peter Nowalk's How To Get Away With Murder.

ABC is hanging on to Grey's Anatomy, Scandal and the newest fall show How To Get Away With Murder. The creator of the shows, entertainer Shonda Rhimes is a well paid success.

There's a controversy building up in the junk food media. It involves the old perception of powerful, intriguing and forceful women. According to the racist right, any Black woman in power is a problem to them.

Alessandra Stanley a television critic for the New York Times wrote that the roles featuring Black actresses in the staring roles the results, perceived as "angry Black women" leads.

Rhimes is an American screenwriter, director, and producer. Rhimes is best known as the creator, head writer, executive producer and showrunner of the medical drama television series Grey's Anatomy, its spin-off Private Practice and political thriller series Scandal. In May 2007, Rhimes was named one of TIME magazine's 100 people who help shape the world.

Rhimes was an executive producer for the medical drama series Off the Map which aired on ABC from January 12, 2011 to April 6, 2011. Rhimes' new show for ABC is the legal series How to Get Away with Murder, which will debut in the 2014-15 season.

Rhines went to the social networks to put the brakes on the criticism.

Does the New York Times understand who they're talking about?

This woman is probably one of the most powerful figures in the entertainment industry.

To be downgraded to being this angry Black woman is not only offensive to her works, but another reason to why the junk food media will never (and I mean never understand) the Black community.

Keyshia Cole Spends The Night In The County!

Keyshia Cole throws down and got the cuffs slapped on her.

R & B singer and reality star Keyshia Cole will be releasing Point of No Return this year.

A little bit of a setback for the entertainer. The Associated Press reports that LAPD put the cuffs on the Grammy-nominated entertainer Keyshia Cole because of her fist of glory. She was being put in the back of the cruiser on the suspicion of battery after an altercation early Friday morning in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles police officer Nuria Vanegas says Cole was arrested around 5 a.m. after someone initiated a private person's arrest. The 32-year-old was booked on suspicion of battery and released from custody Friday afternoon.

Police did not release any further details about the incident.

An email message sent to Cole's publicist was not immediately returned.

Cole's second album, 2007's "Just Like You," produced the songs "Let It Go," ''I Remember" and "Heaven Sent."

Apparently she got drunk and hit that chick with a bottle at Bryan "Birdman/Baby" Williams' condo.

I am guessing the junk food media is saying that the entertainer is dating the 45 year old media mogul.

Secession Fever!

Spell check.

I wonder how many people call me by phone to ask me how I feel about the United States in general.

I can tell you that I am not satisfied with the Congress right now under the leadership of Republicans in the House and Democrats in the Senate. I am somewhat disappointed with President Barack Obama because even after he trounced perennial loser Mitt Romney, I was thinking that he could bring his bully pulpit to the insurgency.

I thought the president would finally put the brakes on Loserville and other critics of his policies.

Alas, all we hear is the same old circle of right wing agitation. From Obamacare to Lois Lerner. The racist right has a monopoly on the junk food media. Don't listen to their cries of "liberal media" bias.

For way too long, I've hear one or more things that makes the case against the president.

When that's concluded, then you hear talk about  polls, birth certificates, Benghazi, ISIS and illegals. Then when that's over, then you hear talk about the liberal media, political correctness, Black thugs and the most frequently used phrase, "I want my country back!"

I Want My Country Back! That is the universal pledge of dissent by both the right and the left.

White folks in the insurgency are most commonly using that phrase when they gather near highways posting upside down American flags, offensive signs towards Obama and carrying firearms in the public. Once in a while a Confederate flag or anti-gubmint protester may come into the fold.

Reuters reports that 1 in 4 Americans (roughly 25%) want to break away from the United States.

Do I want to join this movement because I am mad at the gubmint?

No.

Some 23.9 percent of Americans polled from Aug. 23 through Sept. 16 said they strongly supported or tended to support the idea of their state breaking away, while 53.3 percent of the 8,952 respondents strongly opposed or tended to oppose the notion.

The urge to sever ties with Washington cuts across party lines and regions, though Republicans and residents of rural Western states are generally warmer to the idea than Democrats and Northeasterners, according to the poll.
The kookspiracy of gubmit control drives this.
Anger with President Barack Obama's handling of issues ranging from healthcare reform to the rise of Islamic State militants drives some of the feeling, with Republican respondents citing dissatisfaction with his administration as coloring their thinking.

But others said long-running Washington gridlock had prompted them to wonder if their states would be better off striking out on their own, a move no U.S. state has tried in the 150 years since the bloody Civil War that led to the end of slavery in the South.

"I don't think it makes a whole lot of difference anymore which political party is running things. Nothing gets done," said Roy Gustafson, 61, of Camden, South Carolina, who lives on disability payments. "The state would be better off handling things on its own."

Scottish unionists won by a wider-than-expected 10-percentage-point margin.

Falling public approval of the Obama administration, attention to the Scottish vote and the success of activists who accuse the U.S. government of overstepping its authority - such as the self-proclaimed militia members who flocked to Nevada's Bundy ranch earlier this year during a standoff over grazing rights - is driving up interest in secession, experts said.

"It seems to have heated up, especially since the election of President Obama," said Mordecai Lee, a professor of governmental affairs at the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee, who has studied secessionist movements.

Really, I thought because they don't like that "MONKEY" in the White House. Obviously after the trouncing of perennial loser Mitt Romney, some in the racist right took to the social blogs to call the president a "NIGGER", "SUBHUMAN" and "TRAITOR".
Seceding is a White Extremist wet dream.
It's not about policies! It's mostly about the president's race. Because this same old song was done a few years back when the racist right was petitioning for secession. It was being egged on by the kookspiracy nut and that blog that throws shit to the wall. And we can't forget the right wing agitators who relish their filth in the junk food media.

Reuters added that Republicans were more inclined to support the idea, with 29.7 percent favoring it compared with 21 percent of Democrats.

Brittany Royal, a 31-year-old nurse from Wilkesboro, North Carolina, said anger over the "Obamacare" healthcare reform law made her wonder if her state would be better off on its own.

"That has really hurt a lot of people here, myself included. My insurance went from $40 a week for a family of four up to over $600 a month for a family of four," said Royal, a Republican. "The North Carolina government itself is sustainable. Governor (Pat) McCrory, I think he has a better healthcare plan than President Obama."

By region, the idea was least popular in New England, the cradle of the Revolutionary War, with just 17.4 percent of respondents open to pulling their state out.

It was most popular in the Southwest, where 34.1 percent of respondents back the idea.

That region includes Texas, where an activist group is calling the state's legislature to put the secession question on a statewide ballot. One Texan respondent said he was confident his state could get by without the rest of the country.

"Texas has everything we need. We have the manufacturing, we have the oil, and we don't need them," said Mark Denny, a 59-year-old retiree living outside Dallas on disability payments.
One idiot is pushing the notion.
Denny, a Republican, had cheered on the Scottish independence movement.

"I have totally, completely lost faith in the federal government, the people running it, whether Republican, Democrat, independent, whatever," he said.

Even in Texas, some respondents said talk about breaking away was more of a sign of their anger with Washington than evidence of a real desire to go it alone. Democrat Lila Guzman, of Round Rock, said the threat could persuade Washington lawmakers and the White House to listen more closely to average people's concerns.

"When I say secede, I'm not like (former National Rifle Association president) Charlton Heston with my gun up in the air, 'my cold dead hands.' It's more like – we could do it if we had to," said Guzman, 62. "But the first option is, golly, get it back on the right track. Not all is lost. But there might come a point that we say, 'Hey, y'all, we're dusting our hands and we're moving on.'"

This stuff comes in part of the recent news of an independence vote by Scotland. That vote failed and drove the insurgency back to the folds. There was an insurgent named Alex Solmand who led the way for this to happen. It failed and he will disappear from the limelight.

Waste Not War Not!

The United States prepares for a long war against a faction of terrorist calling themselves the Islamic State of Iraq of the Levant. Most media call it the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.

The inept Congress passed the resolution to give the president the power to arm the Syrian rebels.

Before they take off once again for their umpteenth vacation they granted the president power to take the United States back into Iraq and possibly Syria.

The Syrian rebels have a beef with it ruling leader Bashar al-Assad and are fighting for the removal of the dictator.

President Barack Obama backed into a corner by the whiny fear mongering assholes of the junk food media. They fear the Islamic State. A bunch of men who are conservative Sunnis who are fighting against the West.

The West is planning on a coalition of Middle Eastern countries to take on the terrorist group.

The bill passed 73 to 22, and heads to the White House, where President Barack Obama, who ran as an anti-war president, is likely to sign it. It allows Obama in effect to begin hostilities against an enemy in Syria, relying on the war declarations passed with the authorizations to use military force in 2001 and 2002 that targeted al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein.

Lawmakers and the White House agree the AUMFs are outdated -- some members don’t even think it’s constitutional for the president to apply them to current military operations against ISIS -- and need to be modernized.

Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), who made the case for the majority, acknowledged that the Senate needs to hold a broader debate, and a vote, on a new war authorization. Durbin said he expects that to happen only after lawmakers return from the elections in November.

What's Going On In Utah?

Darrien Hunt in a family photograph.
Darrien Hunt was killed by the law. Questions are raised to how a man lunged at the cops when he was shot in the back.

A man walking with a novelty samurai sword was killed by the law in Utah. A major controversy is building up. Me and S. Baldwin are now covering the ongoing situation.

Okay there's tension growing in the city of Saratoga Springs. If you're not familiar with the city, you'll be informed about it. The city's mayor was a Black woman. Mia Love is a growing figure in the Black Republican movement.

She was a Black insurgent nominee who is running again for the seat by now retiring Democratic politico Jim Matheson.

She is one of the very few Black people living in a city of 24,000.

There's a young man who was killed last week and the junk food media is starting to pick up on it.

Darrien Hunt of Saratoga Springs was walking with a samurai sword he used as a showpiece weapon.

Someone tipped the law off and the immediately reacted to the situation. While everything is kind of sketchy, the law claims that he lunged the sword at them.

So somehow he was turning his back and all of sudden six shots goes into him?

The Guardian reports that Utah authorities have altered their account of how a 22-year-old black man was killed by police, after an attorney for the man’s family alleged that he was shot repeatedly from behind by officers while running away.

The authorities also said that the two police officers involved in the shooting of Darrien Hunt last Wednesday had not yet been interviewed about the incident. The attorney for Hunt’s family described this delay as “almost incomprehensible”.

Hunt died outside a Panda Express restaurant at a strip mall in Saratoga Springs on Wednesday morning following an encounter with two police officers who were responding to a 911 call reporting a man with a samurai-style sword acting suspiciously.
Darrien Hunt and police just before the shooting.
A witness photographs the encounter. Soon after she turns her back, gunfire.
After several days of silence Tim Taylor, the chief deputy attorney for Utah county, said in a statement on Saturday: “When the officers made contact with Mr Hunt, he brandished the sword and lunged toward the officers with the sword, at which time Mr Hunt was shot.”

Hunt’s death follows the high-profile fatal shootings by police in August of Michael Brown, an unarmed black 18-year-old in Ferguson, Missouri, and John Crawford III, a 22-year-old black father of two who was carrying a BB rifle through a Walmart in Beavercreek, Ohio.

Hunt’s mother, Susan, who is white, accused the police of killing the 22-year-old due to his race. The population of Saratoga Springs is about 93% white and 0.5% black, according to the 2010 census.

“They killed my son because he’s black. No white boy with a little sword would they shoot while he’s running away,” Mrs Hunt told the Deseret News. Taylor said there was “no indication that race played any role”. Hunt’s family have not been able to explain why he was carrying the sword, which they called a souvenir from a gift shop.

The new account confirmed by Taylor on Monday appears to potentially match with remarks made by a witness to local media shortly after the shooting.

Jocelyn Hansen, who was filling her car at a gas station opposite the bank, has said that seconds beforehand she saw Hunt and the officers in conversation. She said that after taking a photograph of the scene, which showed Hunt smiling and with his hands at his sides, she got into her car in order to leave and then heard gunfire.

“I looked up. There were shots and there was a chase,” she told ABC 4 Utah. “He turned and was running away from the police officers,” Hansen added. She could not be reached on Monday.

The altered official account also follows an angry response by the Saratoga Springs police department to media reports of claims that Hunt may have been shot while running away.

“Everyone should remember that the news outlets have ratings they need to gain. They don’t report facts. They use innuendo, opinion and rumor and then report it as fact,” said the unsigned statement, which was published on the department’s Facebook page but has since been removed.

“The real facts are being determined by an independent investigation, and not in a rushed or haphazard manner,” it went on. “When those facts are gathered and analyzed they will be reviewed by independent legal authorities.”
He was not a criminal says his grief stricken mother,
The two officers involved in the incident have not been identified by Saratoga Springs police department. They have been placed on paid administrative leave. An investigation is being carried out by the county’s “officer-involved shooting protocol team”, which includes officers from several different forces and agencies, according to Taylor, who said the county attorney’s office would “review these findings and issue a statement”.

“We haven’t even interviewed the officers yet,” said Taylor. “We’ve talked briefly with them just to kind of get an idea of what the scene was at the time.” He said officers were typically interviewed within 48-72 hours of a shooting. One is now scheduled to be interviewed on Tuesday and the other on Thursday, more than a week after the shooting, he said.

“I’m stunned. I find that almost incomprehensible,” Edwards, the attorney for Hunt’s family, said after being informed of this by the Guardian. “You want to speak with the officers almost immediately afterwards, when their memories are fresh and before they have had a chance to corroborate their stories.”

Taylor said the county attorney’s report would not be complete until his office received the findings of an autopsy that had completed by a state medical examiner’s office in Salt Lake county. He said that he expected this to take between six and seven weeks.

Edwards, the attorney for the family, said it was not clear whether the inquiry would be satisfactory. “Do we trust the police to do a thorough investigation to find any kind of wrongdoing, and to ultimately punish the wrongdoer? I think the jury is still out on this one.”

The attorney said he and the Hunt family would wait until the report before deciding their next move. “If it appears that there was some sort of criminal activity on the part of the officer, obviously we would like to have that followed through with,” he said.

A media representative for the Saratoga Springs law went to the social media to vent off.

Everyone should remember that the news outlets have ratings they need to gain. They don’t report facts. They use innuendo, opinion and rumor and then report it as fact. The same thing happens here on FB and other social media. The real facts are being determined by an independent investigation, and not in a rushed or haphazard manner. When those facts are gathered and analyzed, they will be reviewed by independent legal authorities. There is no cover up and there is no corruption. While this process is played out, we ask all persons to have patience with the process and allow the process that has been legally established to go forth. No one has been charged with any crime. The law has established that there must be probable cause for charges to be filed. Then even when and if charges were filed, in this country, all persons are innocent until proven guilty. This protection is extended to all persons, including cops.

That immediately got some flack. That post assured a meme (i.e. racist right talking point).

Now we have another officer involved shooting in which a person of color was brutally shot.

What will the racist right say about this one? Will they claim he's a druggie?

Will the social networking pictures show that he's prone to violence?

That's how they look at things.

We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to the family of Darrien Hunt.

Stupid Made Easy! [NSFW]

Damage control after a worker put his balls on the dough.

I am a very hard and dedicate worker. I work at a racino in Monroe and gas station in Dayton. I work in the service industry. During my downtime, I often would post on Journal de la Reyna about the most stupidest things to ever happen while working in the service industry.

This one is another one of those "YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID" stories that managed to drive the agitators to it. Of course The Smoking Gun website posted this ugly mug on the website.

This idiot does something to a pizza that got him looking forward to years in the iron college.

If one could imagine how it's ever possible for a man to rub his "balls" on the pizza as a joke or spite of a rude customer is beyond ignorance in the third degree.

I understand the service industry is a thankless job. No one (and I mean no one) gives a fuck about your personal problems, your first day or your demeanor, all they care about is being served.
The pizza that has extra cheese and pepperoni.
I had to deal with working with a diverse crowd of people. Some are hard workers. Others are just there to get a paycheck for doing "nothing". Don't get me wrong, I am not the perfect worker.

But as far as I am concerned, I love my regular customers over my coworkers, supervisors and managers.

Brent Bradley of Georgetown, Texas managed to get Austin Michael Symonds pinkslip after he got totally pissed at a customer making a last minute order for a Papa Murphy's take home pizza.

The teen has seriously made an error that may cost him big time. Not only will his former coworkers suffer by having to be retrained on how to handle food, but the food inspector will shut down the facility until everything (and I mean everything) is cleaned. And to not to mention that he will probably face a lawsuit from Papa Murphy's for the closure.

Because (that last 15 minutes before you clock out) someone wants to get order made. You have a hissy fit.

Austin Symonds was busted for putting his genitals on pizza.
The Smoking Gun also notes that when confronted by [Bradley]--who was there to pick up a large stuffed pie with Canadian bacon, pineapple, and extra cheese--the 18-year-old Symonds immediately apologized. “Man, I am really sorry, that was stupid,” Symonds said, according to the complaint.

Bradley then asked Symonds how old he was. After the teenager answered that he was 18, Bradley said, “So you are old enough to know better than to put your balls on someone’s pizza.” “Yes,” said Symonds.

In a recorded call with a store manager the following day, Symonds reportedly copped to adding the unwanted topping. Symonds again apologized, adding that he “did what he did because the customer had called in the order right before closing time.”

During a police interview, Symonds “admitted to rubbing his testicles on Mr. Bradley’s pizza,” according to the complaint sworn by Detective Chris Brown.

Symonds acknowledged that he “probably” would have given Bradley his order had the patron not seen his scrotum on the pizza. “That’s the terrible part,” Symonds told cops.

Symonds has been charged with tampering with a consumer product, a second-degree felony. Brown noted that “substances such as fecal matter can be transferred by sweat to the scrotum and could have transferred to the pizza when Symonds rubbed his scrotum on the pizza.”

The teenager, who was arrested Friday, was freed from custody after grabbing the $10,000 get out of free card.
