Cold Heat!

Dayton, Ohio nightclub is facing heat literally!

A little local news from my community. The suburb of Huber Heights, Ohio is known as the community with the most brick homes in the nation. The community sits in northeastern Montgomery County and extends into portions of Miami County. The city is facing a battle with local nightclub that's been the center of a huge controversy.

The nightclub is known as The Heat. The nightclub is under fire for advocating continuous problems within opening hours.

It seems like the nightclub is a popular establishment. They've managed to book some B-list celebrities to their establishment. Last year, the nightclub hosted rappers 2 Chainz and Future for its inaugural opening events.

Future appears on A1/Freebandz/Epic Records.
2 Chainz appears on Def Jam Records.

The nightclub managed to succeed in getting its liquor license back. After a long bitter fight with Huber Heights city leaders, the owner of club Jessica Kennedy managed to get the Ohio courts to favor their case for establishment.

Now only a few weeks after Kennedy got her victory to open business, here come a tragedy.

You know the knot heads of the community continue to push all "us Black folk" down. They just can't keep their egos outside. It's apparent even in a suburban nightclub where security was at its highest, guns are plentiful.

Of course this incident spooks the sleepy residents of Huber Heights. Many think that if they want this type of drama, they'll move to Dayton.
Charles Bell III was killed. The man leaves behind a daughter. The family demands answers to how this man who would help those in need be killed.
I hear this stuff especially from conservative minded individuals who believe the Black men are "natural born criminals". Despite all the changes to keep patrons safe, a shooting that kills two men and leaving one injured.

Huber Heights police said the shootout early Saturday left 25-year-old Charles Bell III and 20-year-old Keenan Moore dead. The shooting started after a fight spilled out into the parking lot of the Heat Nightclub, which is located in a strip mall among other businesses.

When the local junk food media covers it: It riles up the community.

Now it's likely the nightclub will be permanently shut down.

Ron Fisher, the mayor of Huber Heights and Montgomery prosecutor Matt Heck are vowing to make this establishment a distant memory.

So far they've succeed in getting a temporary injunction to have The Heat shut down for a few weeks.

A judge for the Montgomery County Court ordered an immediate shutdown of the establishment until the city and owner get their paperwork. The city must prove to the court that The Heat is a nuisance and a danger to the community. Kennedy must prove that she can continue operating a business minus the violence.

So far, there's talk around my community about it!

If you're interested in this, visit the Dayton Daily News website and view a timeline of how The Heat managed to fight back the city and the shooting.

We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to the families of Charles Bell III and Keenan Hall.

The Heritage Foundation Advocates White Nationalism!

Former South Carolina Republican senator Jim DeMint leads the conservative organization. The Heritage Foundation is quite controversial. I am wondering how far the conservatives will go before they destroy the Republican Party.

What pisses me off more than anything, is the fact that professional bigots in academia want to compare Black and Hispanics as "inferior"subjects. What drives the conservative/white supremacist bubble is the fact they can't stomach a browner nation.

They don't like well-educated figures such as President Barack Obama. So in order to take away the successes of Black and Hispanic, these individuals in the white supremacist bubble want to prove how intelligent they are and the world around them are a bunch of idiots.

Only in the professional bigot's mind, intelligence is apparently skin deep. The agitators of the conservative media are trying to encourage Republicans to derail immigration reform.

After getting their butts kicked in the last election, the Republican Party sought for improvements.
Former senator Jim DeMint runs The Heritage Foundation. It's under fire for its commentators ill advised writings calling minorities (and immigrants) inferior.
The Republicans are trying to "reach out" to young, Asian, Black, Hispanic and college professionals.

So far, they're not reaching the "promise land" as they've claimed. The Republican Party outreach to minorities is really screwed up.

So far, they've allowed Senators Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky, Minority Leader), Jim Inhofe (R-Oklahoma), Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina), Rand Paul (R-Kentucky), Representatives Steve Stockman (R-Texas), Louie Gohmert (R-Texas), Michele Bachmann (R-Minnesota), Paul Ryan (R-Wisconsin), Jason Chaffez (R-Utah), Trent Franks (R-Arizona), Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) and Peter King (R-New York) make the Republican Party appear to be more intrusive.

Conservative agitators on talk radio, the blogs and the comment sections aren't helpful either. They've gathered through the talking points from Loserville and the white extremist asshole blogs.

This organization explained today will explain why the Republican Party is destined for political failure.

The Heritage Foundation is an American conservative think tank based in Washington, D.C. Heritage's stated mission is to "formulate and promote conservative public policies based on the principles of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, traditional American values, and a strong national defense."

The foundation took a leading role in the conservative movement during the presidency of Ronald Reagan, whose policies drew significantly from Heritage's policy study Mandate for Leadership. Heritage has since continued to have a significant influence in U.S. public policy making, and is considered to be one of the most influential conservative research (an extremist organization) in the United States.

Jason Richwine, a Harvard educated PhD scholar along with Robert Rector wrote an offensive piece claiming immigrants (i.e. Mexican, the American Hispanic and Black people).

In this offensive piece Richwine claims that unlawful immigrant households have more wage earners per household: 1.6 compared to 1.2 among non-immigrant households. However, the average earnings per worker are dramatically lower in unlawful immigrant households: $24,791 per worker compared to $43,413 in non-immigrant households. Contrary to conventional wisdom, non-elderly adult unlawful immigrants are not more likely to work than are similar non-immigrants.

The heads of unlawful immigrant households are younger, with a median age of 34 compared to 50 among non-immigrant householders. Partly because they are younger, unlawful immigrant households have more children, with an average of 1.6 children per household compared to 0.6 among non-immigrant households. The higher number of children tends to raise governmental costs among unlawful immigrant households.
Jason Richwine, the professional bigot who wrote that he's "smarter" than the average Mexican or NIGGER!
(Both lawful and unlawful children in unlawful immigrant households are eligible for public education, and the large number of children who were born in the U.S. are also eligible for means-tested welfare benefits such as food stamps, Medicaid, and Children’s Health Insurance Program benefits.)

By contrast, there are very few elderly persons in unlawful immigrant households. Only 1.1 percent of persons in those households are over 65 years of age compared to 13.7 percent of persons in non-immigrant households. The absence of elderly persons in unlawful immigrant households significantly reduces current government costs; however, if unlawful immigrants remain in the U.S. permanently, the number who are elderly will obviously increase significantly.

Unlawful immigrant households are far more likely to be poor. Over one-third of unlawful immigrant households have incomes below the federal poverty level compared to 18.8 percent of lawful immigrant households and 13.6 percent of non-immigrant households.

The low wage level of unlawful immigrant workers is a direct result of their low education levels. [Chart shows that] half of unlawful immigrant households are headed by persons without a high school degree; more than 75 percent are headed by individuals with a high school degree or less. Only 10 percent of unlawful immigrant households are headed by college graduates. By contrast, among non-immigrant households, 9.6 percent are headed by persons without a high school degree, around 40 percent are headed by persons with a high school degree or less, and nearly one-third are headed by college graduates.

The current unlawful immigrant population thus contains a disproportionate share of poorly educated individuals. These individuals will tend to have low wages and pay comparatively little in taxes.

In his mind, he believes that immigration reform is a horrible mistake.

After the backlash, Jason Richwine resigned from the Heritage Foundation. Richwine is the author of a the Heritage report, "The Fiscal Cost of Unlawful Immigrants and Amnesty to the U.S. Taxpayer." In 2009, Richwine earned his doctorate from Harvard University, and his dissertation was titled "IQ and Immigration Policy", which argued that Hispanic immigrants have lower IQ than white native immigrants.

King Hippo came to the defense of this guy.....

Is Obama "Mad" On Power?

President Barack Obama is facing strong opposition, criticism and never ending attacks from the Republicans. The president's Democratic allies are starting to show concern for him.

Sure, if you're a conservative vowing to see the first Black president get impeach by the low approved Congress.

But the real focus is on whether the president or Congress has been effective in getting things done.

The president hasn't got many of his nominees for federal post confirmed by the U.S. Senate. The president hasn't got any federal judges approved by the senate.

The president hasn't got many of his proposals passed lately. He is determined to get immigration reform passed. He still is working to get gun control back on the table. He is trying to figure out ways to get Congress to pass legislation to get people back to work.

I mean never in my day I have seen this much rancor from the political opposition. The Republican Party is failing the country yet again by holding committee hearings on these distractions.

Benghazi is a never-ending "I gotcha moment in counterterrorism!" The September 11, 2012 attack on a U.S. consulate killing four American diplomats (CIA operatives) is the "worse" incident since 9/11 according to Republicans. So instead focusing on how to prevent this from happening again, Republicans spent eight months trying to find "answers" to how the president mislead the nation. They're focusing on talking points and Hillary Clinton. They're using the dead as "props" for political gain.

The IRS scandal is another issue. The president doesn't have an official IRS chief since he's been in office.

The resigning IRS chief was a Bush appointed worker. Still the impact was felt through the "deliberate" targeting of conservative groups by IRS auditors. Since the Citizens United decision, there was flood of groups that were devoted to trying to stop the president from winning reelection.

The Associated Press scandal is another issue. The Republican Party claimed that the president and the Attorney General Eric Holder were deliberately leaking information about counter-terrorism. They were upset over the leaks being sent to the press. So when the Justice Department acts on closing up leaks, here comes the outrage from them.

I will tell you honestly, this have been a bad week for President Barack Obama.

The low approved Congress wasted time trying to repeal Obamacare for the umpteenth time.

The liberals are showing sympathy with the conservative agitators on the IRS and Associated Press scandals.

Why should we allow these "pathetic" issues continue?

Because it's the ugly side of politics. Whenever you're in the losing corner, you're bitter!

The Republicans are bitter and driven mad with their hatred of the first Black president. If you're not seeing this with your own two eyes, then there's no hope for you!

If President Barack Obama was mad on power as those in the conservative agitating media claim, how come it's these guys who threaten to use their "Second Amendment" rights upon the president?

How come the president's nominees and federal judge appointments get stalled and filibustered?

How come the president can't just use Executive Orders to get things done?

How come the president won reelection and the Republicans didn't capture the U.S. Senate?

It's not the president, mad on power! It's the Republicans, the greedmongers of corporate America, the religious zealots who push upon bigotry of those who are different to their faith. It's not president who threatens the American people, it's the Republican Party and its allies in the conservative movement.

These guys have the powerful voice in Loserville, King Hippo, the National Rifle Association, The Guy Who Throws Shit On The Wall, and these ridiculous Republican lawmakers rushing to cameras trying to outcrazy one another.

I am sick and tired of seeing John Boehner, Eric Cantor, Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham, Rand Paul, Michele Bachmann, Ted Cruz, Jim Inhofe, Louie Gohmert, Steve Stockman, Jason Chaffez, Marco Rubio, John McCain, Kelly Ayotte, Trent Franks, Tom Cotton, Darrell Issa and other Republicans who are quick to run to the cameras to whine about how they hate the president.

I bet you that for the next three weeks, this stuff will continue and then soon we'll have another mass shooting in a part of America! The junk food media (as usual) will cover it. Then all this crap will go away for now because the battle will once again shift to gun violence in America.

Of course, we'll have to blame someone right?

AP: Justice Department Cross The Line!

Journalists are outraged over U.S. Justice Departments collecting of phone records. The investigation into classified leaks to the press has the double sword aimed at President Barack Obama.

The Associated Press is expressing outrage over the U.S. Justice Department and Attorney General Eric Holder's involvement in collecting phone records from the junk food media.

Someone's leaking secrets and the Justice Department wants a stop to it! That person could get time in the iron college if they're caught with classified information.

The backlash is coming from the media.

The media is saying that the White House and Justice Department stepped over the line when it comes to "freedom of the press".

Another week of scandal for President Barack Obama.

The low approved Congress once again are going to ignore the sequester cuts, infrastructure failures and issues that matter for the "culture wars" that makes politicians even more less liked among constituents.

Conservatives are already pressing Republicans to put the Articles of Impeachment on the president, five months into his second term. Say didn't we hear this "impeachment" stuff during President Barack Obama's first term?

Well here's the rundown of the situation.

The Justice Department seized office telephone records for 20 AP reporters for a two-month period in 2012, describing the acts as a "massive and unprecedented intrusion" into news-gathering operations.

The AP reported that the Justice Department would not say why it sought the records, but news sources noted that the District of Columbia U.S. Attorney's Office was conducting a criminal investigation into a May 7, 2012, AP story about a CIA operation that stopped a terrorist plot to detonate a bomb on an airplane.
Junk food media figures want Attorney General Eric Holder to step down after news broke of a massive investigation into leaks to the press. The U.S. Justice Department looked into the phone records of the Associated Press.
CEO Gary Pruitt said "These records potentially reveal communications with confidential sources across all of the newsgathering activities undertaken by the AP during a two-month period, provide a road map to AP's newsgathering operations and disclose information about AP's activities and operations that the government has no conceivable right to know."

The U.S. attorney's office in Washington responded that federal investigators seek records from news outlets only after making "every reasonable effort to obtain information through alternative means.

Last year, the conservative agitators were upset that leaked information about terrorist plots being foiled were told to the press. They wanted an investigation into who leaked the info.

So what do the federal attorneys do?

They find out the problems.

And now the very same agitators from the conservative media continue to flourish in their ridiculous grandstanding over all things Obama.

In order to quarrel the outrage, Attorney General Eric Holder recused himself from involvement in a Justice Department leak investigation that secretly acquired telephone records of Associated Press journalists.

But in response to questions at a news conference, he defended the department’s conduct in probing what he described as one of the damaging leaks he has seen.
President Barack Obama and Press Secretary Jay Carney are getting hammered by controversies.
In a letter to Holder and his deputy Tuesday, a media coalition rejected what it called “an overreaching dragnet for newsgathering materials,” demanded that the Justice Department destroy the phone records and called on Congress to pass a federal shield law. The Washington Post joined more than 50 other news organizations in endorsing the letter.

Holder said he testified in June 2012 that he was interviewed by the FBI in connection with the probe into a leak of classified information to the AP. “To avoid any potential appearance of a conflict of interest,” he said, “I recused myself from this matter.”

Since then, he said, the investigation has been conducted by the FBI under the direction of the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia and the supervision of the deputy attorney general, James M. Cole.

“The decision to seek media toll records in this investigation was made by the Deputy Attorney General consistent with Department regulations and policies,” the Justice Department said in a statement shortly before Holder made his remarks.

Holder said in reply to questions that he does not know “all that went into the formulation of the subpoena” for the phone records, but that “this was a very serious leak — a very, very serious leak.” He said that since he became a prosecutor in 1976, “this is among the top two or three serious leaks that I’ve ever seen.” He added that “it put the American people at risk” and that “trying to determine who was responsible for that required very aggressive action.”

He said he was “confident that the people who are involved in this investigation ... followed all of the appropriate Justice Department regulations and did things according to DOJ rules.”

Holder spoke in a joint news conference with Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to announce unrelated law enforcement actions by the government’s Medicare Fraud Strike Force.

In a sweeping and unusual move, the Justice Department secretly obtained two months’ worth of telephone records of journalists working for the Associated Press as part of a year-long investigation into the disclosure of classified information about a failed al-Qaeda plot last year. The records listed outgoing calls from more than 20 work and personal phone lines in April and May 2012, the news agency said. It said the number of employees who used those lines during that period is unknown but that more than 100 journalists work in the targeted offices.
Conservative agitators such as this guy are claiming the president is "targeting" conservatives with brutal force.
Federal authorities obtained cellular, office and home telephone records of individual reporters and an editor, as well as records from AP general office numbers in Washington, New York and Hartford, Conn., and the main number for AP reporters covering Congress, AP President and Chief Executive Officer Gary B. Pruitt said Monday. He called the Justice Department’s actions a “massive and unprecedented intrusion” into newsgathering activities.

The Washington Post also notes Justice Department guidelines require that subpoenas of records from news organizations must be approved personally by the attorney general. Holder’s office did not reply Monday to repeated requests for comment.

Republicans also quickly condemned the targeting of journalists and sought to portray the Justice Department’s actions as part of a pattern of Obama administration overreach, noting that the Internal Revenue Service was already enmeshed in a scandal over the reported targeting of conservative groups.

“Coming within a week of revelations that the White House lied to the American people about the Benghazi attacks and the IRS targeted conservative Americans for their political beliefs, Americans should take notice that top Obama administration officials increasingly see themselves as above the law and emboldened by the belief that they don’t have to answer to anyone,” said Rep. Darrell Issa (R-California), chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

Whatever, Issa!

This is another reason to why it's important to fight against the Republicans and their conservative allies in the junk food media. They're scared of change, literally! This stuff is going to bring the worst out of the Republicans.

Republicans are desperate for the control of Congress. They're going to distract the nation away from their horrible failures as leaders to single out President Barack Obama with these stupid issues.

Yeah, I said it: STUPID ISSUES!

O.J. Simpson Wants Out!

Prison drained The Juice. Acquitted of murder nearly 20 years ago, O.J. Simpson is now serving 33 years in prison for robbery and kidnapping. The washed up celebrity is hoping a retrial will set him free.

A 30+ year sentence for former football star and actor, Orenthal James "O. J." Simpson. Simpson (born July 9, 1947), nicknamed "The Juice", managed to beat a murder case only to be caught up in a botched robbery case.

In 2007, Simpson was arrested in Las Vegas, Nevada, and charged with numerous felonies, including armed robbery and kidnapping.

In 2008, he was found guilty and sentenced to 33 years' imprisonment, with a minimum of nine years without parole. He is serving his sentence at the Lovelock Correctional Center in Lovelock, Nevada.

Now after four years of imprisonment, O.J. wants out.

So he's now going to have his day in court for a retrial.
O.J. Simpson denies he robbed collectors of his former properties.
CNN reports that the one-time Heisman Trophy winner and Buffalo Bills halfback is more than four years into a 33-year prison term and is asking for a new trial. In court papers, he's arguing that bad legal advice led to his arrest and conviction in a 2007 confrontation with sports memorabilia dealers.

Simpson not only accuses his old lawyer, Yale Galanter, of having a conflict of interest and of failing to mount an effective defense in his trial. He also says Galanter told him before that confrontation that he was within his rights to take back property he believed had been stolen from him, "so long as there would be no trespass and no physical force used against the persons with the property."

Simpson, 65, was convicted of leading a group of associates into a room at the Palace Station hotel and casino and using threats, guns and force to take back the items from the two dealers.

If it don't fit, you must acquit! - Johnny Cochran.
"Simpson also contends that Galanter did not advise Simpson that carrying out the plan could subject him to criminal charges, regardless of the ownership of the property," his new lawyers wrote in seeking a new trial.

Simpson also blames Galanter for preventing him from testifying in his own defense. Without putting him on the stand, "There was no evidence presented to adequately challenge the state's evidence of criminal intent and knowledge of the guns or the bad character evidence to which the jury was exposed," his appeal states.

The Nevada Supreme Court already upheld his conviction in 2010. Prosecutors have called the new attempt to reverse his conviction "without merit," and Galanter is quoted in court papers as telling the judge in the original trial that he spoke to Simpson only after the confrontation.

"Other than Simpson's bare allegations, the record does not support any conflict of interest," prosecutors wrote in response to Simpson's claims.

Galanter could not be immediately reached for comment Sunday.

Simpson's October 2008 conviction came on the anniversary of his famous acquittal on murder charges in the 1994 deaths of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ronald Goldman. Though cleared of criminal charges, a civil jury later slapped him with a $33 million wrongful-death judgment, and lawyers for the Goldman family have doggedly pursued his assets.

His current sentence leaves him eligible for parole in 2017.

John Boehner Welcomes New Black Son-In-Law

John Boehner Welcomes New Black Son-in-Law by Keli Goff

This picture of the lovely couple came from London's Daily Mail

From The Root.com:

By accepting his new relative, the GOP speaker sets a positive example.

John Boehner (Mark Wilson/Getty Images)(The Root) -- We've all been there. Someone you care about starts dating someone you may not consider ideal for him or her. Maybe you think he or she has a less-than-ideal career. You may think to yourself, "There's nothing wrong with being an exotic dancer, per se." It's just not who you pictured your baby brother settling down with.

You may have nothing against atheists personally. You just know that your best friend's dad is a minister, and dating someone who considers church a waste of time won't exactly be easy for her or her family. Maybe your cousin volunteered for President Obama's campaign. So when she introduces you to her die-hard Tea Partier boyfriend, you think, "Her name's not Mary Matalin, his isn't James Carville and this isn't going to last."

But sometimes something surprising happens. Not only does it last longer than you imagined, but to your shock, and perhaps horror, they end up getting married. And then you have a dilemma. Do you speak, or do you "forever hold your peace," as the wedding vows say?

Often how a person behaves in these moments, when real life throws a curve ball, tells you more about that person's values than anything he will ever say, even if that person is a politician whose public life revolves around talking a lot about things such as values. I was reminded of this when photos surfaced of Republican Speaker of the House John Boehner at his daughter's recent wedding.

Lindsay Boehner married Dominic Lakhan, a Jamaican-born construction worker, who happens to be black. He also happens to have been previously arrested for marijuana possession. Now, I don't know Rep. Boehner at all, but I am going to go out on a limb here and guess that when he envisioned his ideal son-in-law, it probably wasn't a dreadlocked manual laborer who was arrested for drugs. Very few men would envision such a man as their ideal son-in-law. Even fewer conservative men would -- and even fewer conservative, powerful white men would envision such a man as ideal for their little princess.

There are men who would have made this clear, not only to their daughter but to everyone else, possibly by not attending such a wedding. And yet there was John Boehner, the man who has served as the primary face of the conservative opposition to President Obama -- opposition that some have considered racially based in its intensity -- showing that perhaps he's not so conservative after all. He also showed that while plenty of people may have a problem with the increasingly brown America that Obama governs, one in which multiracial families are among the fastest-growing segment of the population, he is not one of them.

I can think of plenty of so-called liberals who might not have shown the same open-mindedness and character as someone in Boehner's parental position -- if not over the race mixing that this union represents, then certainly over the class mixing that it does.

A high-ranking Republican official endorsing such a union would have been unthinkable just two decades ago, when race-based political advertisements depicting black men as dangerous were still considered the norm. So just as the wedding itself is a testament to how far our country has evolved on race, Boehner's attendance is a testament to our country's political evolution as well.

For this reason, I want to congratulate the newlyweds, Lindsay and Dominic, and wish them much happiness. But I also want to give kudos to Boehner for not just talking the talk, as so many do, but for actually walking the walk -- right on down the aisle. He set a positive example for his party and the nation, ultimately sending a message that yes, America is changing and will never be the same again. And you know what? That's OK.

First, Rep.Bob Portman's son came out of the closet this year, now the Speaker of the House, John Boehner daughter has married a Black man and has a new son-in-law.

Funny things happen to Republicans who are least likely to be open minded on interracial relationships, Blacks/multiracials, and LGBTQ people, have relatives and family members who are.

Think about it!
