Winter Haven Police are claiming their officers did nothing wrong when they detained a woman and a toddler at gunpoint.

Of course, the woman and child are Black.

The cops were white.

Florida is an open carry and stand your ground state. Anyone is allowed to carry in public and as long as the firearm is not discharged, you can display a firearm to stop a threat.

But I guess this applies to white people. Because if you're Black, the police are gun ho to either shooting or arresting you.

Winter Haven Police faced an fiery backlash Wednesday after pictures emerged on social media of an arrest that included a young girl lying face down on the ground with her hands behind her back, an officer facing the girl and her mother with his firearm drawn.

Shortly after 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, as the picture exploded quickly on social platforms, the department released body camera footage of the arrest and said that the young girl, seemingly less than 5 years old, was mimicking her mother as police ordered the woman to the ground. The mother and daughter were in a car with a man police were seeking in connection with a disturbance involving a firearm.

In a news release accompanying the video, police said the officers' weapons were drawn out of caution because of the likelihood of a firearm, and "at no point was the officer's weapon pointed at the child as confirmed by multiple cameras."

According to the news release, the incident happened Tuesday when officers received a report of a disturbance involving a firearm at Santiago's Market, 898 Havendale Blvd. NW.

Godfrey Hercules II, 29, was in an altercation with a store employee in the parking lot and was observed with a gun, police said. Hercules left the parking lot heading south on U.S. 17. Police put out a be-on-the-lookout alert for a red Nissan Altima with Hercules as the driver, a female passenger and a small child passenger.

Officers found the vehicle at the American Legion, 300 Ave. M N.W., Winter Haven, police said, and Hercules, the woman and the child had gotten out of the car. Police said Hercules was found on the side of the building and was quickly apprehended.

The woman, Mariah Banks, 27, was ordered to the ground, and she immediately complied, police said, and the young child mimicked the mother's actions. Banks was handcuffed, as shown in the video. Police said a Diamondback 9mm semiautomatic pistol was found in the vehicle.

"Officers responded with an appropriate level of caution with the understanding there was a weapon involved seeking to resolve the situation," the department said in the release. "When approaching Hercules and Banks, officers could not have known who was in possession of the firearm. As soon as the officer approaching Banks became aware of the presence of the child, he immediately pointed his firearm towards the ground at a low-ready position.

"At no point was the officer's weapon pointed at the child as confirmed by multiple cameras," the release said.

Backlash on social media to the image of the girl lying on the ground next to her mother was intense. Much of it centered on the belief that the officer was pointing his gun at the child or that the child had been handcuffed.

A Facebook post for Black Lives Matter Restoration Polk Inc., said, "Winter Haven Police got 24 hours to apologize for allowing that little girl to be on the ground or it’s going down about that black child."

"Y'all got 24 hours to issue a public apology to that little girl and the family. And I want to know why she's on the ground, why's she's in handcuffs, if she's in handcuffs and why she got her hands behind her back. Where the training at, who didn't pick that baby up off that ground."

A user on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, said, "Winter Haven Police Department with German Shepard, handcuffs toddler and mother in Florida."

Another post juxtaposed an image of the statue out in front of Winter Haven police headquarters with the image of the girl on the ground.

"This statue is named 'The Protector' and it sits dead center of WHPD. It's modeled after a young African American girl and a police officer.

The young girl was never handcuffed in the police body cam footage or a video from social media. In the video taken by bystanders, one officer can be seen handcuffing banks while the other stands back, his gun clearly pointed at the ground and finger off the trigger.

In the body camera footage, as officers move around a vehicle with their guns drawn and pointed in Banks' direction, ordering her to the ground, one officer out of the frame. The officer whose body camera is shown has his gun drawn, but the gun is out of frame. As the officer clears the vehicle and Banks comes into the picture, she drops to the ground and the little girl, who was hidden behind her, comes into view for a split second. In that split second, the video appears to show the barrel of the officer's weapon, previously out of the frame, entering the frame, pointing directly down toward the ground.

Hercules and Banks were released, along with the child, because store employee declined to press charges, police said. The department filed a complaint affidavit with the State Attorney's Office for Hercules for affray and improper display of a weapon. It also filed a complaint for the store employee for affray.

Police said the Department of Children and Families was notified of the incident "because it was a violent crime committed in the presence of a child."

The department said it would hold a news conference Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Police Department with Police Chief Vance Monroe, Assistant City Manager for Public Safety Charlie Bird and City Manager T. Michael Stavres.

Sylvester Turner Passed Away!

 Nine weeks. Rep. Sylvester Turner (D-TX) passed away while in office.

U.S. House member and former mayor of Houston, Rep. Sylvester Turner (D-TX) passed away at the age of 70. He was in his freshman official term as a U.S. House member.

He succeeded Sheila Jackson-Lee who passed away in 2024.

Turner was a staunch supporter of Israel and was backed by AIPAC.

Turner served two terms as mayor of the City of Houston after being elected in 2016.

His tenure ended last January. Ten months later, he ran to fill the seat once held by longtime Congresswoman Jackson Lee, who died of pancreatic cancer in July 2024.

The Houston Chronicle first reported the story after current Houston Mayor John Whitmire announced the news during a Houston City Council meeting on Wednesday morning. Whitmire said Turner was working in Washington, D.C. when he was taken to a hospital and later died. The cause of death is unknown at the time.

During the council meeting, Whitmire shared his thoughts on Turner's life and legacy. The two were recently seen together at a church service.

“A remarkable public servant who impacted millions of people. He rose from poverty, but never forgot where he came from. It is a terrible loss for the city and a personal loss for me. I ask Houstonians to celebrate his life,” said Whitmire.

Turner died on March 4, 2025, at a hospital in Washington, D.C. He was the second person to die in the seat.

Sheila Jackson-Lee and Sylvester Turner both served the 18th District before their passing.

Gov. Greg Abbott will issue a special primary and election to fill the remaining term of the lawmaker.

AIPAC will quickly pick a candidate to back. 

Erica Shelwyn Lee will likely declare her intentions to run. AIPAC will immediately put her in the position of backing Israel in order to get endless donations.

The gerrymandered 18th District will be a safe Democratic seat.

Rep. Melanie Stansbury (D-NM) was accosted by Rep. Lance Gooden (R-TX). Stansbury held a sign saying "This is not normal". Gooden snatched the sign and ripped up and threw it in the air.

Ben Shapiro is calling for Trump to pardon and commute the sentence of Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis Police officer who placed his goddamn knee on the neck of George Floyd, killing him. The U.S. share a controversial policing partnership with the apartheid ethnostate of Israel.

Jocelyn Nungaray National Wildlife Reserve was in honor of a 12 year old who was killed by two men who were Venezuelans. Her mother endorsed Trump and was in attendance as Trump proudly signed off an executive order to rename a Houston, Texas reserve after her. Trump once again touts his immigration crackdown which is controversial. Trump is trying to remove due process. He also threatened to jail and deport Americans who support immigrants and "terrorist groups".

The U.S. is ranked between 55 and 90 in education. Out of 188 countries, the U.S. lacks the proper tools to teach students. We also have a hiring crisis when it comes to teachers. 

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced that he will start the process of ending Starlink in Canadian government offices. He will impose tariffs on American goods. 

He also is backing many province primers calls for a boycott on American products.

Ontario Primer Doug Ford has announced that he will no longer reciprocate American companies any funding. He also threatened to cut off energy resources to Minnesota, Michigan and New York.

“Anti-Semitism in any environment is repugnant to this Nation’s ideals,” said Senior Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Leo Terrell, who will be heading the Task Force. “The Department takes seriously our responsibility to eradicate this hatred wherever it is found. The Task Force to Combat Anti-Semitism is the first step in giving life to Trump’s renewed commitment to ending anti-Semitism in our schools.”

Israel must be held accountable for war crimes and the U.S. must end its aid. Our taxpayer money should not help Israel any further.

Israel is the red line. If any lawmaker, entertainer, athlete or social media influncer backs the apartheid ethnostate, they face a boycott.

We have hospitals closing, big box retailers leaving communities and television programs dying. There are bigger issues in the country than Israel. You want an immediate ceasefire and accountability for war crimes done by Israel. You want no more foreign influence in American elections. You also want to make sure future presidents and legislators avoid influence from lobbyists.

President Donald J. Trump will be delivering his first Joint Session of Congress.

It is counted as a State of the Union Address. It often is a long winded speech about how the president can fix the problems of our country.

In this second term, Trump will lay out what his policies are, his grievances, his push for replacing his predecessor's policies, lie about his accomplishments and continue to threaten American citizens and world leaders.

It will be low watched.

Obviously, a lot of Americans will tune Trump out.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) invited Trump, Vice President JD Vance and his administration to the House chamber to deliver his speech.

The Democratic Party selected Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) to deliver the response.

The Democrats continue to be tone deaf. Slotkin is a staunch supporter of Israel and voted with Republicans on the Laken Riley Act, a law that removes due process from people who are accused of criminal acts. The act is specifically targeted to immigrants who are not U.S. citizens. If they commit any criminal act, they are deported without due process.

Elon Musk will likely be in attendance.

I expect some obnoxious behavior from Democrats. It won't be like Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) when they did it to former president Joe Biden. But I expect Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) to be making some form of protest.

What I could expect is the Democrats get up out of their seats and leave the House chamber and Johnson threatening to arrest members who interupt Trump.

I will not watch or listen to the speech. I am going to allow you the opportunity to watch or listen to the speech.

A lobbyist and a realtor lost their jobs this week.

They were white women.

A woman at a Washington Capitals NHL hockey game was caught texting a man named Jimmy. She was texting racially offensive texts while seated in front of a Black woman.

The Black woman managed to get screenshots and it went viral.

A woman who ate a Mexican restaurant in Columbus, Ohio left an offensive message to the server. She wrote she hopes "Trump deports you." 

Both of these women were white and they were terminated.

In exit polling, Donald J. Trump had 53% of the white woman vote. He managed to win the white women for the third time. He lost it only in 2020.

President Trump and his administration have mandated that the federal government end its diversity, equality and inclusion initiatives. Some national retailers and corporations have ended their policies.

Ohio State University, the home of the 2024-25 College Football National Champion Buckeyes has faced backlash after they closed their diversity offices at the behest of Gov. Mike DeWine.

The Alpine Group has fired lobbyist Courtney Johnson, who was the head of their healthcare practice, after conducting an internal review into a viral video where she was seen making racist comments.

Johnson, was a principal at the Capitol Hill consulting firm, and was registered with numerous high profile companies such as AWS, Leidos Lyft, Amgen, and more.

In a statement issued to Playbook by the Alpine Group, they said, “Following a thorough internal inquiry, Courtney Johnson's employment has been terminated, effective immediately, due to conduct inconsistent with company policies and standards. The views expressed are deeply offensive and inconsistent with our firm's values and culture.”

The Alpine Group is a bipartisan government affairs consulting firm which helps its clients to “successfully navigate the halls of Congress, the White House and federal agencies.”

Johnson has also been removed from the firm's website which lists its consultants.

The viral video showed a white woman, later identified as Courtney Johnson, at a Washington Capitals hockey game, texting a man named Jimmy about black people in schools in the “hood” not being well-educated because they did not travel as much as “rich whites.”

Pretty racist.

Screenshots of the video zoomed in on the texts and revealed more comments from the person called Jimmy saying that no one has been so “kind and welcoming” to black people as the white world in context to the CIA's treatment of black people and targeted abortions in the community.

The screenshots also show Courtney Johnson responding, “abortion doesn't target people. Black people have more sex partners and a higher risk of pregnancy...”

The person named Jimmy also claimed that black people found it easier than white people to get into college because of poverty, to which Johnson replied, “It is hardest for whites in suburban areas to get into college…we have the highest GPAs and colleges want diversity so they won't take us…”

The woman also claimed that during the conversation on text, Jimmy said, “I want to kill all blacks,” and “I want to commit genocide,” to while Courtney Johnson continued to talk to him without addressing the disturbing comments.

Realtor probably knew how to redline potential home buyers.

2. Columbus, Ohio realtor.

Stephanie Matthews Lovin was an Ohio realtor leaves no tip at Mexican restaurant—writes "I Hope Trump Deports You!!!" 

Lovins has now been fired from Century 21.

She claimed that someone stole her credit cards.

Servers who saw the message took a photo of her and the receipt.

The realtor is from Worthington, an affluent suburban enclave in the Columbus area.

An employee from Cazuelas Mexican Restaurant & Cantina, 6325 E. Broad St., posted the derogatory note to Facebook on Monday.

The receipt read, "I hope Trump deports you!!!" The customer also did not leave a tip.

The post sparked outrage on social media, with some people calling the note an act of racism.

Fabio Oribio, who leads marketing for Cazuelas, said the restaurant used video to confirm the note was written by a local woman. The Dispatch has not been able to independently verify the woman's identity. Calls to her and her employer have not been returned.

Oribio said the woman could have been upset by the restaurant's one-coupon-per-table policy when trying to use two coupons or the rush-hour wait time.

"It was a normal Sunday; things got a little busy, so the wait could have been a little longer than usual, but we aren't really sure what made her write that," he said.

Oribio said the server, Ricardo, had no history of poor customer service. Oribio said although Ricardo has Latino roots, he is a natural-born United States citizen.

Pretty racist.

Oribio said this was an isolated incident and there has since been an outpouring of support from locals in the community.

"This is no place for hate," Oribio said. "We are not on one side or the other in terms of politics. We are a place where we have fun and drink."

Heartless Kia Boyz killed Texas rapper and his daughter.

It is a truly heartbreaking story. 

A 5 year old girl was a victim of a shooting. Her father was also targeted. It happened on Monday in Texas.

The victim was Get$ Lil Ronnie, a Dallas area rapper was ambushed by two Black males exiting a Kia. 

Gun violence is the number one threat in the United States.

The Kia Boyz, a gang of teens or young men who violently steal Kia and Hyundai vehicles. They intentionally cause criminal acts using the vehicles. Some of the acts involve injury or death to those affected.

Forest Hill police responded to Slappy's Car Wash on Forest Hill Drive just north of I-20 just before 11 a.m. 

One woman at the scene named Stella Houston told reporters that the victims were her nephew and his daughter, who celebrated her 5th birthday on Sunday. Friends and family identified the man as a Fort Worth rapper known as Lil Ronnie. 

One witness told a CBS News Texas photojournalist that they heard 20 to 30 gunshots. 

Police said the suspects are described as two Black males wearing blue jeans and grey sweaters. Forest Hill police said the suspects exited a white, four-door Kia and approached the victim's vehicle, which was stationary in a bay at the car wash. The suspects opened fire and fled the area.

A suspect has been identified and a warrant issued for capital murder, police said; however, the department is not releasing suspect names as the investigation is ongoing.

A promising career cut short.

Video from CBS News Texas chopper showed dozens of evidence markers on the ground and a heavy police presence around the car wash. Fort Worth, Everman and Mansfield officers were on the scene in addition to Forest Hill PD.  

In a statement issued Monday afternoon, Slappy's car wash said it would be closed for at least two days to assist the investigation. 

"We are shocked, appalled and deeply troubled by the senseless and violent events that occurred today," the statement said in part.

This is the fourth and fifth reported homicide in the Forest Hill this year. There were zero last year, police said.

Late last month, a former employee of an auto sales business in Forest Hill was charged with murder following a shooting at the company that resulted in two deaths and one injury.

Days later, a 36-year-old Forest Hill mother was killed by "stray bullets" in her backyard. Family members said she was by the fire pit when a stray bullet came through the fence and struck her.

The Texas Rangers are leading the investigation, Forest Hill police said, with the assistance of the Forest Hill Criminal Division, Fort Worth Police Department, Everman Police Department, Kennedale Police Department and Tarrant County Sheriff's Office.

Well loved by the community, Get $ Lil Ronnie had potential.

These murderers don't have mental illness. They are calculated and prepared. It happened to be a moment where they have the opportunity to take out lives.

There's no sickness in the head. Most mass shooters legally obtain their assault rifles without little background checks. They have likely no criminal history and they are willing to use the assault weapon in the only thing it's good for: Killing numerous lives.

I dismiss this ridiculous notion that criminals are the problem, not the guns. 

Firearms are often obtained through legal purchases. 

Again, having more security, teachers being armed and offering safe rooms are not solving the problem. The problem is lawmakers not willing to stop gun violence.

According to the far right: White shooters are mentally ill. Black shooters are unrepentant thugs and criminals. Gay shooters are active groomers. Muslim shooters are terrorists. Hispanic and Asian shooters are illegal immigrants. According to the far right, almost all white [or non-white] mass shooters are registered Democrats [or some progressive activist] because they have liked or done one thing common to the left. Of course, they often share or post disinformation by using the "Sam Hyde" meme or make bogus social media platforms with the shooter's image as a way to denounce most mass shooters being white or associated with conservative causes. The far right says a white person should "protect" themselves from thugs, terrorists or protesters. They believe the use of firearms are "justified" if they are protesting or even instigating a conflict. The far right believes if a shooter is a police officer, an active military member, a veteran or a citizen who supports conservative causes, they are considered a "heroes" and use of firearms are justified. If the shooters are teens in urban communities, the far right automatically assumes the gunmen are Black.

The Republicans usually amplify white victims. Anytime a person of color kills a white victim, it is often wall-to-wall coverage on Fox, Twitter and they force it into national news. They make the case to blame Black Lives Matter, Barack Obama, Kamala Harris, Democrats, Rev. Al Sharpton and rap music for Black on whatever violence. Republican legislators who do not live in urban neighborhoods often troll social media to talk about gun violence or crime in Chicago, Baltimore, Milwaukee and New York City while not doing a damn thing to stop it. If a white person shoots a Black person, the shooter is given the benefit of doubt. White shooters are given glowing profiles about their perfect lives and how friends noticed something but refused to do something. When it comes to Black shooters, automatic vilification. They don't see mental illness. They see it as gang violence, allegedly fatherless homes, Democratic policies or the need for more firearms. 

The far right and Republicans exploit gun violence in the Black community for culture wars and racism.

We need to stop posting money online. It gives criminals an opportunity to rob and kill.

Let them know that "thoughts and prayers," "hearts going to" and "good guys with guns" are no longer acceptable and you want legislation to curb gun violence. Let them know that we are tired of police officers using immunity when committing death of suspects in custody. Let them know that you are tired of private equity firms getting away with destroying small businesses and long established companies. Let them know that you are tired of your taxpayer money going to foreign nations like Israel. You are tired of hearing about "Israel having a right to..." and the bogus claims of being anti-Semitic or in support of terrorism. 

We have bigger issues at home and our tax dollars should solve the housing crisis, lowering food prices, fixing roads, bridges, helping reinvest in struggling urban and rural communities. We have hospitals closing, big box retailers leaving communities and television programs dying. There are bigger issues in the country than Israel. You want an immediate ceasefire and accountability for war crimes done by Israel. You want no more foreign influence in American elections. You also want to make sure future presidents and legislators avoid influence from lobbyists.

She is forever casted as a bad person. She is up there with OJ Simpson, Rush Limbaugh, Harvey Weinstein, Sean "Puffy" Combs, George Zimmerman, Kyle Rittenhouse, Derek Chauvin, Osama bin Laden, Vladimir Putin and many others the junk food media refuse to let go of.

Anthony appeared on TikTok advocating for criminal justice.

She posted a video to TikTok to "reintroduce" herself to the world as a "legal advocate" – and to advocate for herself and her late daughter, one of the first times she has spoken publicly in years.

Anthony was infamously tried and acquitted of first-degree murder in the disappearance and death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, in Orlando, Florida. 

Anthony was 22 at the time of her daughter's disappearance.

Anthony's mom, Cindy Anthony, reported her granddaughter missing in July 2008, a month after reportedly not seeing her. In December 2008, Caylee's skeletal remains were found in a wooded near not far from where Cindy and George, Casey's parents, lived in Orlando, officials said.

At trial, Anthony was found guilty on two counts of lying to law enforcement about the whereabouts of Caylee shortly after she was reported missing. She claimed she was with a babysitter, which turned out to be a false story, officials claimed at trial.

Anthony posted a 3-minute video to TikTok to "reintroduce herself" as a "legal advocate" for herself and her late daughter, Caylee.

"I am a legal advocate. I am a researcher. I have been in the legal field since 2011, and in this capacity, I feel that it's necessary if I'm going to continue to operate appropriately as a legal advocate that I start to advocate for myself and also advocate for my daughter," she said in the video, pushing people to her Substack, which charges $10 a month to subscribe to.

"My goal is to continue to help give a voice to people. To give people tools and resources that they can utilize so they actually know where they can turn to," she said.

Transgender Sports Ban Bill Blocked!

The Democrats blocked a bill that would take away freedoms.

The latest culture war issue Republicans pivoted to was transgender women playing in women sports. The 0.01% [less than 200 Americans] identify as transgender and play in sports.

Instead of working on inflation, the bird flu, measles outbreak, soaring egg prices, gas prices rising, global tensions, helping Americans who lost their jobs in federal government, Americans who lost their homes to climate change, the endless gun violence and holding President Donald J. Trump accountable for his actions, Congress is worried about a small minority of Americans.

So why should transgender Americans pay their federal taxes to have their rights, privacy and benefits taken away?

The Protect Women and Girls In Sports Act was a bill that would ban transgender women and children from playing gender identified sports, bar puberty blocking medications, ban operative surgery on transgender teens and ban transgender women from using public restrooms.

Senate Democrats voted unanimously to block a Republican-led bill Monday evening that would prohibit federally funded schools from allowing transgender athletes from participating in women's sports.

In a party-line vote of 51-45, Democrats filibustered the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act, introduced by Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala. It fell short of the 60 votes needed to advance as Democrats dismissed it as a distraction and a cynical political move.

Four senators didn’t vote: Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va.; Cynthia Lummis, R-Wyo.; Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich.; and Peter Welch, D-Vt.

The outcome means the legislation — which passed the House in January and mirrors an executive order issued by President Donald Trump — won’t go any further. But the failed vote is likely to become a political talking point for Republicans in upcoming elections after they used the issue of transgender rights as a cudgel in the 2024 campaign.

“Sen. Tuberville is trying to churn the social wars about something that really doesn’t exist,” Sen. John Hickenlooper, D-Colo., said after he voted to block the bill. Hickenlooper has announced he will run for re-election in 2026 and, despite his vote, said he does not believe transgender women should be able to compete in women’s sports if the other women object.

“I saw the ads,” Hickenlooper said of the election in 2024, when Trump highlighted the issue. “I think that’s the kind of ad that works once. I don’t think it’ll work again. It’s an infinitesimally small group of people that are really trying to find their ways.”

A New York Times/Ipsos poll conducted in January found broad opposition to transgender athletes in asking respondents whether “transgender female athletes — meaning athletes who were male at birth but who currently identify as female” — should be allowed to compete in women’s sports. In response, 79% of American adults said they “should not” be allowed, while 18% said they “should be allowed.”

Sen. Ruben Gallego, D-Ariz., who won his race last fall even as Trump carried Arizona at the presidential level, acknowledged that it is “a hard issue for a lot of people.”

But he said Democrats who have an effective overall message shouldn’t worry.

“Look, if you’re running and you don’t have any other identity and you’re not known for fighting for people to have a decent living, to buy a home, to be able to bring the American dream to their families, these outside fringe issues are what is going to bring you down,” Gallego said. “I’m not worried about that, because I communicate with my fellow Arizonans every day that I’m fighting for them to make sure that they get to live the American dream no matter what.”

Sen. Gary Peters, D-Mich., who has announced he isn’t running for re-election next year, said Democrats need to focus on the economy.

“This is not really an issue like in Michigan,” Peters said, “I think there are hundreds of thousands of athletes, there’s like two individuals that are actually in this situation. People are going to realize that it’s really been an issue that Republicans have trying to exploit.”

Asked whether he’s concerned such a vote could come up in future election cycles, Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., who has broken with Democrats on some issues, replied: “Watch my vote, and then you can extrapolate whether I’m worried about that s--- or not.” 

Shortly afterward, Fetterman voted no.

Among Republicans, opposing transgender athletes in women’s sports is a cultural issue that unifies all wings of the party.

“I just think this is a matter of fairness, safety and giving girls and young women the opportunity to excel in sports,” said centrist Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, who faces re-election next year. “And again, let me emphasize that I think we should treat all people respectfully, but Title IX is the law, it’s not just a suggestion, and it was intended to open these opportunities to girls to excel in sports.”

Tuberville condemned Democrats for blocking the bill.

“This is far from over,” he wrote on X. “I’ll NEVER stop fighting to protect women and girls.”
