In the interim, the Dominion lawsuit revelations have led to louder calls for the party to make a firm break from any involvement with the cable channel, whom they view as functionally a campaign arm for Republicans. Democrats spanning the ideological spectrum have even started calling on the White House Correspondents’ Association — the group of news reporters advocating for press access — to boot Fox News reporters from the briefing room.
Norfolk Southern has another train derailment in Ohio.

Residents who need to travel on Ohio 41 are also being asked to find alternate routes. Power outages are also being reported in the Springfield area due to downed power lines.
During the Feb. 3 accident, about 50 cars, including 10 carrying hazardous materials, derailed in a fiery crash in East Palestine, according to rail operator Norfolk Southern and the National Transportation Safety Board.
Vinyl chloride was slowly released into the air at that time from five of those cars before crews ignited it to get rid of the highly flammable, toxic chemicals in a controlled environment, creating a dark plume of smoke.

Biden was deemed by O’Connor to be “ healthy, vigorous” and “fit ” to handle his White House responsibilities during that physical exam, which comes as he is weeks away from launching an expected bid for reelection in 2024.
O’Connor said the site of the removal on Biden’s chest has “healed nicely” and the president will continue regular skin screenings as part of his routine health plan.
Basal cells are among the most common and easily treated forms of cancer — especially when caught early. O’Connor said they don’t tend to spread like other cancers, but could grow in size, which is why they are removed.

Another plank of Washed Up 45’s plan, detailed in a less-than-four-minute video posted by his campaign, is for the federal government to boost investment in flying personal vehicles.
“I want to ensure that America, not China, leads this revolution in air mobility,” the former president said in the video.
The policy-light plan sketched a vision of America’s future that was in some ways reminiscent of “The Jetsons,” the classic cartoon depicting a high-tech utopian society where commuters traveled to work by flying car.
Efforts to build electric vertical takeoff and landing vehicles, or eVTOLs, are already well underway — though flying taxis and aerial highways aren’t expected anytime soon, with automakers still working out self-driving technology for landlocked cars.
In a press release, Washed Up 45’s campaign asserted that 10 cities the size of Washington, D.C., could be built using less than one-tenth of 1% of the hundreds of million of acres of “empty” government-owned land. That land would not be part of U.S. national parks, the campaign said.
While Washed Up 45 puts home- and car-ownership at the center of his vision for an ideal American future, urban planners and politicians have increasingly championed urban infrastructure concepts that increase density and reduce reliance on cars.
Washed Up 45’s video also teased a “major initiative” to lower the cost of living, with a focus on lowering the costs of buying a car and building a single-family home.
And he called for Congress to approve “baby bonuses” for young parents, a proposal that appears similar to “baby bonds” legislation proposed by Democrats that would give every child $1,000 at birth.
The “Quantum Leap” plan follows other policy announcements from Washed Up 45’s 2024 campaign. Days earlier, the former president unveiled a protectionist trade agenda featuring “universal” tariffs aimed to encourage domestic production.
The latest plan came one day before the former president is set to address the Conservative Political Action Conference.

McBath is a center-left leaning politician. She is also a pragmatic lawmaker who strongly believes in bipartisanship. She is similar to Rep. Lauren Underwood (D-IL), Rep. Mary Peltola (D-AK), Rep. Donalds soon felt that Obama didn't do enough on criminal reform and I guess that led to his conversion to the far right lawmaker he is now. He ran for Congress in a safe Florida Republican district after Francis Rooney retired. He won by 35 points. Now in his second term as a lawmaker, Donalds was floated as a potential senator, a House Speaker and future governor.
Bowman is a lawmaker from The Bronx. He was an unlikely winner of Democratic primary where he defeated longtime lawmaker Eliot Engel. He aligns himself with the far left. He allies with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rep. Summer Lee (D-PA), Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO), Rep. Ayanna Presley (D-MA), Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Rep. Delia Ramirez (D-IL) and Rep. Greg Casar (D-TX).
He is former educator. Bowman is the founder and former principal of the Cornerstone Academy for Social Action, a public middle school in Eastchester, Bronx. He is a member of the Lower Hudson Valley chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America.

“So Trump claims Florida now, not New York?” Bowman asked, with some incredulity. “Bye, Felicia. Both those dudes going to get crushed.”
“By who? The man at 1600? Oh, please,” said Donalds, referring to President Biden and the White House’s 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. address.
“Biden passed three bipartisan pieces of legislation after an insurrection, during a global pandemic opened back up the schools, killing the game! DeSantis ain’t even — Biden will wipe the floor with DeSantis,” Bowman said.
But Donalds brushed Bowman off, asking, “In what world? Bizzaroland?” He added that he could list DeSantis’s successes too if given the time.
The back-and-forth between the two was a courteous exchange, with both lawmakers smiling and laughing with and at one another.

Greene shared a clip to Twitter on Tuesday of House testimony from Rebecca Kiessling, a mother who lost two sons to fentanyl overdoses in July 2020—when Washed Up 45 was in office.
While sharing the clip, Greene claimed that "both of [Kiessling's] son's murders" were caused by "the Biden administrations refusal to secure our border," an impossibility since the Biden administration did not exist at the time.

During a speech at a gathering of Democrats in Maryland on Wednesday, Biden mocked Greene while speaking about bipartisanship, provoking laughter from the crowd by suggesting that Republicans would flock to become Democrats if there were more GOP lawmakers like Greene.
"You know, a little bit more Marjorie Taylor Greene, a few more and you're gonna have a lot of Republicans running our way," Biden said while chuckling. "Isn't she amazing? Oof!"

The president then addressed Greene's fentanyl overdoses claim, briefly laughing again after pointing out that the congresswoman failed to mention that the deaths took place under the former president.
"She was very specific recently, saying that a mom, a poor mother who lost two kids to fentanyl, that I killed her sons," said Biden. "Well, the interesting thing is that fentanyl they took came during the last administration."
Biden quickly received online backlash from critics, including some who misleadingly suggested that he was laughing about the fentanyl deaths rather than Greene. However, the laughter of the president and of his audience was clearly directed at the Republican congresswoman.

A senior Israeli official on Wednesday called for the state to “erase” the Palestinian town of Hawara, which was rampaged by Jewish settlers over the weekend.
“I think the village of Hawara needs to be erased. I think that the state of Israel needs to do it. God forbid that regular people should do it,” Israel Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said.
His comments came after he liked a tweet that called for Hawara to be “wiped out” in the wake of a Palestinian gunman's attack that killed two brothers, Hillel Menachem Yaniv, 21, and Yagel Yaakov Yaniv, 19, who lived in the Israeli settlement of Har Bracha, around 5 miles away.
Israeli security forces were searching the Hawara area for the attacker when Jewish settlers gathered and stormed the village.

“Under any circumstances, we should not be carried away to anarchy in which citizens take the law into their own hands,” he said. “What causes this situation is when citizens are murdered in the streets.”
A Palestinian man, Sameh Hamdallah Mahmoud Aqtash, 37, was shot and killed in the violence in Hawara, the Palestinian Health Ministry said Monday. Dozens of cars were also burned.
An Israel police spokesperson told NBC News that seven people had been arrested in connection with the violence. Another three people were currently under house arrest, the spokesperson added.
About 700,000 Israeli settlers live in the West Bank and east Jerusalem, which are territories the Palestinians want to use to build a future state. The international community, including the Biden administration, considers the settlements illegal and obstacles to peace.

Smotrich, a settler leader who lives in the area, told a journalist with Israel’s 13 News that the attacks on Hawara weren't “Jewish terrorism.”

State Department spokesperson Ned Price said at a news conference Wednesday that the comments were “irresponsible” and “repugnant.”
“Just as we condemn Palestinian incitement to violence, we condemn these provocative remarks that also amount to incitement to violence,” he said. He added the U.S. was calling on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other senior Israeli officials to “publicly and clearly reject and disavow these comments.”
Elsewhere, Eugene Finkel, a professor of international affairs at Baltimore’s John Hopkins University tweeted that Smotrich didn’t “even want a pretense of deniability by outsourcing it to ‘vigilantes.’”
He added: “We might be headed to a major explosion and I don’t think even the U.S. can stop it now.”
In nearly a year of violence, more than 200 Palestinians and at least 40 Israelis were killed in the West Bank and east Jerusalem, according to the Associated Press. A deadly Israeli raid on the West Bank city of Nablus killed at least 11 Palestinians last week and left scores more wounded.
Last year, a woman decapitated a man who she briefly dated. She is on trial for murder.
During her preliminary hearing, she lunged at her defense attorney before being subdued by sheriff's deputies.

Assistant District Attorney Caleb Saunders called last week’s harrowing crime “one of the most serious offenses we’ve had in this county in some time.”
“I think the facts alleged are extremely concerning and disturbing and go to the violent nature and grave nature of the offense,” he said.
The suspect faces LIFE in the iron college if convicted. She is designated a potential dangerous individual and maybe on suicide watch. The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
