Lester Holt traveled to Guatemala to interview Vice President Kamala Harris and he slipped in a repetitive Republican talking point. The vice president did not take the bait.

During an interview with NBC News that aired Tuesday, Holt cited criticism of her decision not to go to the border and asked whether she has plans to visit.

"At some point, you know, we are going to the border," she said. "We've been to the border. So this whole thing about the border. We've been to the border. We've been to the border."

"You haven't been to the border," Holt noted.

 "And I haven't been to Europe," the vice president responded. "And I mean, I don't, understand the point that you're making. I'm not discounting the importance of the border."

Harris went on to say "I care about what's happening at the border."

Harris took her first trip abroad to Guatemala and Mexico, where she met with Guatemala President Alejandro Giammattei on Monday, and on Tuesday is meeting with Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador. The trip was part of her focus on addressing the root causes of why migrants from Central America are heading to the U.S.-Mexico border.

Why should I do a photo op? I rather get to the root of the problem.

For months, the white nationalists were screaming about President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris not going to the border. Rep. Karen Cuellar, a Democrat who represents parts of the border in Texas, has also been critical of Harris and Biden for not visiting the border. Biden is not willing to waste taxpayer money, interfere with traffic condition and use city resources for a less than two hour trip at a partially built border wall.

"I'm in Guatemala because my focus is dealing with the root causes of migration," she told Holt.

"There may be some who think that that is not important, but it is my firm belief that if we care about what's happening at the border, we better care about the root causes and address them. And so that's what I'm doing."

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has made several visits to the U.S.-Mexico border. The White House has also previously said that Biden gets regular updates as to what is happening at the border.

Harris on Monday during a press conference with Giammattei also rejected the criticisms she is facing for not heading to the United States' southern border, saying that she went to Guatemala to "speak with the leader of this nation around what we can do in a way that is significant, is tangible and has real results."

"I will continue to be focused on that kind of work as opposed to grand gestures," she said.

During her interview with NBC News, Harris noted that it will take time to see results from her efforts to help mitigate migration to the U.S.-Mexico border.

"There is not going to be a quick fix," she said. "We are not going to see an immediate return. But we're going to see progress. The real work is going to take time to manifest itself. Will it be worth it? Yes. Will it take some time? Yes."

The Mexican government clearly told the former president that they are not paying for a border wall. It is literally wrapped up in legal disputes because portions of the wall are going into preserved land. The border wall is a mess. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers have to repair sections due to despair. It left gapping holes in areas that were never disturbed.

Another police shooting of a Black man in Minneapolis. This is getting ridiculous.

Law enforcement shot an killed Winston Boogie Smith, a 32 year old Black man in the Uptown neighborhoods. Smith was being sought after by the U.S. Marshals for weapons violations.

An investigation conducted by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension claims that Smith brandished a weapon when he was being approached.

Minneapolis dealing with protests and unrest after the police shooting of Winston Boogie Smith.

The shooting happened three miles from the site where a former Minneapolis cop placed his goddamn knee on the neck of George Floyd.

It also happened weeks later after the fatal shooting of Daunte Wright in Brooklyn Center.

There has been tension in Minneapolis-St. Paul. There have been many incidents in the metroplex involving the police departments and people of color.

The junk food media will try to justify his death by saying he was convicted of robbery and assault of his ex-girlfriend. They will say he was barred from owning firearms. They will say that he shot first and they will claim that he was a felon.

The cops did not have body cameras on them so basically it's their word against the dead body.

Tensions were rising since the police dismantled the George Floyd memorial

Last year, Bloomington Police attempted to arrest him for warrants. He took off from the parking garage of the Mall of America. He fled the police and later was captured.

The judge ordered his arrest after he failed to show up for his parole hearing. The Marshals were dispatched to capture him. The incident did not go as planned.

Now the father of three is dead and the family demands answers to why this tragedy occurred.

Tensions have been on the rise in the city of Minneapolis. The mayor Jacob Frey is facing pressure to do something or face defeat. He has been trying to work with civil rights leaders and the police union to work on solutions.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) a prominent member of The Squad and civil rights activist have condemned these latest rounds of shootings.

Tensions are up now that another Black man is killed by the police.

When the police and junk food media show the mugshots of Black men killed by police what perception does it give?

It portrays Black men as the instigators. It paints Black men deserving of their deaths at the hands of police.

It is a tactic that the media uses to justify police shootings.

It's just another way of dog whistle politics.

Three adults and one teen from the same family were killed in a hit and run on June 6. The family's nine-year-old boy is in hospital with serious injuries. The legendary actor in television and movies has passed away at the age of 81.

His career spanned over four decades.

Clarence Williams III best known for iconic roles died of colon cancer.

Besides the Mod Squad, I will always remember Clarence Williams III as Mr. Simms on Tales From The Hood. He was the crazy funeral home owner who in reality was the Devil. He told three gang bangers that he had the "shit." 

He said they were "knee deep in the shit!"

Besides the Tales From The Hood movie, he was also in Purple Rain. He played the role of Prince's father.

Williams broke into the scene as one of the stars of the counterculture cop show, The Mod Squad where he starred with with Peggy Lipton and Michael Cole. He was a mainstay of the series until its end in 1973.

He had appeared in film, television and theater. 

Williams played the demented funeral home owner Mr. Simms.

Williams was also on TV's Twin Peaks as the FBI agent Roger Hardy and he also played Bobby Shy in the 1986 film, 52 Pick-Up, Chaka in 1984's Against the Wall, Archie in the 1997 TV movie George Wallace, and Merlin in 2000's Reindeer Games.

He was born in New York City and he began his career on stage in 1957 in the play Dark of the Moon.

He has been in films like The General's Daughter, Sugar Hill, Half Baked, Deep Cover, Hoodlum, The Brave, Life and The Legend of 1900.

He was the iconic movie The Butler by Lee Daniels. He played Maynard.

Williams is survived by his sister Sondra Pugh, daughter Jamey Phillips, niece Suyin Shaw, grandnephews Elliot Shaw and Ese Shaw and grandniece Azaria Verdin.

He is perhaps best known for being on the Nickelodeon sitcom, Drake and Josh. Now he's is facing a state lunch and federal sandwich after he was accused of trying to entice a teenager into sex.

Sexual predator portrayed Timmy Turner in The Fairly Odd Parents Movie: Grow Up Timmy Turner.

The washed up entertainer was arrested in Ohio and is being charged with two counts of crimes against a child. The suspect was charged with the attempted endangering of children, a fourth-degree felony punishable with 15 years in the iron college and registering as a TIER II or TIER III in Offender U.

He also has a first degree misdemeanor for disseminating harmful matter to a child. 

According to the dockets, the offenses took place on December 1, 2017. On Thursday, he pled not guilty and posted a $2,500 get out free card on Thursday. The judge ordered the suspect to have no contact with the alleged victim and ordered him to submit DNA to the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Department.

He will be facing a federal sandwich if the offenses took place between state lines.

Tyler Sinclair, a public information officer with the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office told the junk food media that the suspect engaged contact with the underage girl at a nightclub in Cleveland. The victim reported the crime in October 2018. 

Canadian authorities doing vice online provided information to the Cleveland Police. In turn, the police will eventually hand over incriminating information to the Department of Homeland Security.

He could face criminal charges in Canada.

"That investigation revealed that the 15-year old victim, who had established a relationship with Bell several years prior, attended his concert in December 2017," Sinclair told the junk food media. "While there, Bell violated his duty of care and, in doing so, created a risk of harm to the victim."

So what happened, he invited the girl backstage, she immediately was wooed by him. She established a longtime relationship post-concert. He convinced her to have sex with him. 

The suspect is 31 now so he was around 26 or older when he slept with the victim. There may be more victims.

The suspect denies having an inappropriate relationship with the victim and his lawyer, Ian Friedman will present, "all facts" being revealed in the courtroom.

The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The news broke that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had became proud parents to a daughter.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle confirm they gave birth to their daughter on June 4 at 11:40am at the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California. The daughter is named Lilibet.

Official statement reads:

"It is with great joy that Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, welcome their daughter, Lilibet "Lil" Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, to the world. Lili was born on Friday, June 4 at 11:40am in the trusted care of the doctors and staff at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Burbank, California.

She weighted 7lbs 11oz. Both mother and daughter are healthy and well, and settling at home.

Lili is named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty, The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet.

Her middle name, Diana, was chosen to honor her beloved late grandmother, The Princess of Wales.

This is the second child for the couple, who have a two-year old son name Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. The Duke and Duchess thank you for your warm wishes and prayers as they enjoy this special time as a family."

The news comes after a month of tabloid trashing of Meghan and Harry for leaving formal duties at royals. The former American actress and youngest prince of Charles and Diana left the United Kingdom after it was revealed that Meghan was experiencing depression and racism from American and British agitators like Karen Owens and Karen Morgan.

Karen Morgan has been the most vocal agitator in this mess. He went out like a Karen and walked off the set of Good Morning Britain after he was called out for his racist rants against Meghan went she and Harry told Oprah Winfrey that the two had enough of the compassions to Prince William and Kate and the ongoing "ghettoizing" of Meghan.

Trudeau condemned this as an act of racism.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had to apologize to the thousands of Inuit and indigenous families who lost a child in the Kamloops Indian Residential School. The Catholic based school buried 215 children's bodies without informing the families.

Trudeau demands the Vatican to issue a formal apology and reparations to the victims' families.

The Canadian prime minister suggested on Friday that Pope Francis himself should formally apology.

The mass grave at the Kamloops Indian Residential School in British Columbia became an international story when a team of diggers found remains in entombed inside hidden areas.

The Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc First Nation is outraged over this.

Dark history at the once Catholic school.

"This was an unthinkable loss that was spoken about but never documented." 

"This past weekend, with the help of a ground penetrating radar specialist, the stark truth of the preliminary findings came to light -- the confirmation of the remains of 215 children who were students of the Kamloops Indian Residential School," said Chief Rosanne Casimir of the Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc First Nation tribal community.

"To our knowledge, these missing children are undocumented deaths."

"This is only the beginning and there is still so much work yet to be done," said Casimir. "We're all grieving. This is unprecedented and we need to do the right thing and there is no roadmap."

The airspace is restricted for drones and small planes. The school is temporarily closed until further notice.

A federal investigation is launched into the matter.

We may never know the names of the victims and why the school leadership decided to handle the matter in such a horrific fashion.

The former Florida lawmaker and enabler of white nationalism is resigning (or being forced out) of the Texas Republican Party.

Karen West, a walking talking Black Islamophobe, racist jackass is being ousted as Republican chairman.

He is a retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel and one term Florida U.S. Representative.

There was no particular reason to why he is stepping down but he is thinking about running for something.

During a news conference, West said a statewide run is "one of the things I have to go to the Lord in prayer." He said it would be "very disingenuous with so many people that have asked me to consider something" to not explore a run.

West has considered challenging Karen Abbott for Texas governor. I guess he could run for Congress and challenge Rep. Colin Allred (D-TX). Allred is a former NFL player who ran successfully for office.

Many believed that West joining the Texas Republicans was an excuse to generate buzz for further goals. The job of land commissioner is open in 2022 after Karen P. Bush announced he is running for attorney general, challenging fellow Republican Karen Paxton.

Abbott was already getting a primary challenge from former state senator Karen Huffines. 

Karen Miller is also considering a challenge against Abbott. He got the endorsement of Washed Up 45.

West also ran on the platform of QAnon, a far right conspiracy the U.S. Justice Department is calling a domestic terrorist indicator. West's departure ends a turbulent 11 months as an activist chairman who eschewed the job's usual role of promoting party unity and instead used the platform to pressure and criticize Abbott and other top Republican leaders. That included protesting last fall outside Abbott's mansion over coronavirus restrictions.

Over the Memorial Day holiday weekend, West spoke at an event in Dallas that was organized by adherents of the QAnon conspiracy theory. When West took over as party chairman last summer he changed the party slogan to “We Are the Storm" — which is associated with the conspiracy — but has denied that it is related to QAnon.

West has also called the new Republican speaker of the Texas House of Representatives, Karen Phelan, a “traitor" for working with Democrats and accused GOP lawmakers of trying to purposefully derail looser gun laws that ultimately passed.

West's resignation was a relief to longtime Texas GOP officials and operatives. Karen Mackowiak, a Republican strategist in Austin and chairman of the Travis County GOP where the state party offices are based, said West had “decimated" field efforts at a time when Democrats are gaining ground in Texas and had let voter registration efforts slide.

“Allen West has always been all about himself, leaving disaster in his wake," Mackowiak tweeted.

West was elected as a Florida congressman in 2010 and later moved to Texas after serving one term. He won the leadership post in Texas during a virtual convention last summer that was wracked by delays and technical problems after an in-person gathering in Houston was canceled due to the coronavirus.
