The Republicans ram their tax plan through Congress. They haven't read the bill. They haven't gotten the Congressional Budget Office audit yet. It's pathetic.
On a party-line vote, the Republicans in the House of Representatives past their tax reform bill.
The Tax Cuts and Jobs Bill was a backroom deal. Republicans ran on the promise that they will be more transparent when they pass bills.
Republicans from California, New York and New Jersey were concerned that this bill could raise the middle class taxes. The Democrats unanimously opposed the bill.
The Republicans didn't even read the bill. All they did was throw shit to the wall hoping it will stick. This bill could raise the the deficit by $1.4 trillion dollars.
Republicans were warned by big time wealthy donors to pass a tax cut or else they will cut the sugar.
Donald J. Trump gave the Republicans a pep talk to get things done or else.
Now the Senate will take up the matter. It's uncertain right now. Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson is the sole Republican whose against it right now.
The Republicans once again failed to realize that passing tax cuts will not grow the economy. We already have so many problems in this world right now the last thing we need is a fucking tax cut.
Puerto Rico, the US Commonwealth still having trouble. Congress should spend more money on trying to get Puerto Ricans the help they need.
Remember the Keystone XL pipeline?
Well I remember!
The pipeline sprung a leak in South Dakota. No telling if the oil will reach the water supply or effect the Standing Rock reservation. Back in 2014, then President Barack Obama opposed the TransCanada pipeline. He said that the impact could greatly affected millions of Americans. The pipeline would not bring jobs to the United States. It allowed tar sands being dug up to free flow from Alberta, Canada to the Gulf Coast.
Inspiring rapper/rocker struggled through bouts of tribulations.
Gustav Ahr was known professionally as Lil Peep and the hip-hop community is mourning the loss of a truly talented musician.
Peep was cited as one of the primary artist is responsible for the term emo rap. Notable acts like Lil Uzi Vert, Kodak Black, XXXtentacion and Lil Yachty are a past of this movement.
Peep took the "big sleep."
The "big sleep" is a combination of liquor, heroin, Xanax and fentanyl.
He was born in New York and began rapping in high school. He started posting his music on social media and began scouting for deals in Los Angeles.
Peep released his debut mixtape Lil Peep Part One which generated buzz. He also released his EPs Feelz and Live Forever. He also released two mixtapes Crybaby and Hellboy last year.
His debut album Come Over When You're Sober, Pt. 1 was released in August.
He was on tour when his tour manager found him unconscious.
They tried to revive him but it was too late. He passed away at the age of 21 years old. He died only 14 days after his birthday. He was on tour in Tucson.
Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA) testifies to Congressional members her experience of sexual harassment as a staffer to a former lawmaker.
California congresswoman Jackie Speier has launched a campaign to encourage victims to speak up in Washington, DC.
As a victim of gun violence and sexual harassment, Speier is very adamant about the recent issues going on with men harassing women. And I think that she's making it clear that she will even go after Bill Clinton and Donald J. Trump for their past transgressions.
The Democrat is hoping that the most recent scandals involving current and former lawmakers will inspire women and men to complain about sexual harassment and sexual assault.
In the age of Donald J. Trump, many entertainers, politicians, athletes, business professionals, and newsmakers are being caught up in sex scandals.
The current leader has 16 accusers. Trump denies the allegations.
George H.W. Bush has now seven women who accused him of sexual abuse.
The Bush family hasn't responded to the allegations. The former leader was long out of office when the women were groped.
Fox News and it's most annoying host Sean "Softball" Hannity aren't covering Trump or Bush's sexual abuse allegations. They're too busy focusing on Bill Clinton and his wife, Hillary.
The sex scandals of Clinton are back in the news. Progressives believe the accusers who said the former leader did sexually abuse them.
The recent controversy this week involves GOP candidate Roy Moore. The Alabama senatorial candidate is facing calls to quit the race after allegations made by The Washington Post, the New Yorker and al.com. Nine women came forward to say that Moore was sexually abusing them.
Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY)
Many conservatives have denounced the allegations. They believe that the Republican establishment and Democrats plodded sabotage against Moore. The controversy already has affected the Alabama special election.
Right now I still say that the races in favor of the Republican. Democratic candidate Doug Jones is mounting strong offense against Moore and the Republicans.
Today, Democratic senator of Minnesota Al Franken is now caught up in his own sex scandal. Conservative agitator LeeAnn Tweeden came forth with allegations that Franken groped her and try to tongue her.
Franken before he became a senator was an actor and comedian.
Franken was doing his USO tour when the allegations had occurred. Tweeden claims that a photo that she found showed the comedian mockingly groping her. Although I don't see any groping going on, the picture speaks for itself.
Franken did apologize to the victim. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has launched an ethics investigation into Franken. The senator welcomes the investigation. Tweeden also remarks that there may be other victims.
The congresswoman has seen enough. She is asking many members of Congress to launch a new standard of guidelines for lawmakers, staffers and media personalities on Capitol Hill.
Speier and New York Democratic senator Kirsten Gillibrand are working on legislation to make lawmakers accountable for sexual harassment and sexual assault.
She was angered by the amount of money being paid out to victims of sexual harassment. Over $15 million dollars was distributed to many victims.
The congresswoman even remark that a few members of the House and Senate have been known to sexually harass women.
Sexual abuse is the second most dangerous threat in the United States. Ever since Trump won his election, many women felt the need to speak out against sexism, misogyny, the rape culture and stand up to those who refuse to believe them.
Most of these scandals involve white men and power. Thanks to Trump, this stuff is now out in the open and those involved are being ran out of town.
And it does cross the color line. I haven't forgotten about Black perverts Bill Cosby, Kevin Clash, LA Reid and R. Kelly.
We must change the culture in order to move forward.
Trump unfortunately won't start a movement. He will continue the pattern.
The junk food media reports that Charles Manson is in dire straits.
Cult leader Charles Manson is in a local hospital. At age 84, the the notorious murderer is about to bite the dust.
Although Manson ever killed anyone, he will sentence along with five other individuals in the murder of Sharon Tate and six other people. The Manson cult were eight White extremists who murdered random people who may have spurned them.
Since his incarceration in the California penal system or I would like to call it the iron college, Manson remained a controversial figure.
When the junk food media often visit him to ask questions, Manson would use his unique word vomit to describe how he hates the world and how he could kill those who would have messed with him.
Born in Cincinnati, Manson was a troubled child. He said he was born by an unmarried teen mom. He never knew his father but took the name of his step dad.
He told tales of being molested, losing his virginity at an early age, committing robberies, pimping underage girls, assassinating political and cultural figures, and writing folk songs.
Charles Manson is a part of American history. One of the most talked about cult leaders ordered his followers to kill Sharon Tate.
During his run-ins he met two women and they bore him children. Manson has three children.
The Manson family was notorious for hard drugs, hard partying and fantasies of murder.
I can say that he led his cult through seven notable murders. Each of the cult members were caught. Back then California had the death penalty. During the 1970s, California pulled the penalty and served them LIFE in the iron college with the possibility of parole.
Every time Manson was up for a bid, he was denied.
Now with latest medical emergency, it seems like the end is near.
Manson dubbed Helter Skelter the post apocalyptic race war in which a major event could spark a new civil war. The nut craved a mini swastika in his forehead.
Sen. Bob Menendez won't press license plates, yet.
Hey, the Republicans and Democrats are both problematic. In Donald J. Trump's America, you don't have to grab the pussy and believe she'll hate it.
Sex abuse is the second most dangerous threat in the United States.
Gun violence is the number one threat.
Over 35 Republicans in the House of Representatives and in the Senate are talking about retiring from Congress. Soon the Democratic Party will face the same.
Democratic senator Bob Menendez of New Jersey walks a free man. His bribery, fraud and making false statements trial ended today in a hung jury.
This mistrial hasn't stopped the federal prosecutors from retrying him again.
It just gave the federal court time to figure it out on What charges he can face.
The U.S. Justice Department and it's current and former Attorney Generals long sought Menendez as one the many in Washington using his committeeship to win favor for lobbyists and friends.
This was indicted during the final years of Eric Holder. Loretta Lynch carried forth until her term expired and racist elf Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III was hoping to bag him a corrupted lawmaker.
No such luck for the elf.
Investigation begin in 2013 when reports surface of a Federal grand jury in Miami investigating Menendez regarding his business partner Solomon Melgin.
The Daily Caller had reported that Menendez was traveling to the Dominican Republic on humanitarian visits. While there he he may have contacted or engaged in sexual acts with underage girls.
The engagement of underage girls got the feds watching him.
Melgin was going on offer Menendez campaign donations if he could secure a deal for the Dominican Republic. The talk was being recorded by the FBI and it led to allegations that Menendez was getting perks from Melgen.
Menendez accepted almost a million dollars in campaign donations. He failed to disclose his trips to five star hotels, nights in Paris, boats, golf outings and trips across the country.
This trial lasted 11 weeks and if he was found guilty, he would have gotten 15 years in federal time out.
For the time being, Menendez will find comfort in his New Jersey home. If the feds can find credible evidence and a fair minded jury, then this guy will find it not so warm in those federal time out.
I am certainly thinking registering as an independent.
Picture this. Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) apparently groping a woman. When he was an entertainer he did the USO Tour and this picture seems pretty incriminating.
For Roy Moore, this is the turning point he needed. The Republicans are hoping they could get a distraction. How about this one?
Minnesota senator caught up in a sex scandal. Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) is currently the junior senator for the state. He won his reelection bid easily in 2014. Not so sure if he could win the nomination in 2020.
Franken is an entertainer like Rep. Sean Duffy (R-WI) and Donald J. Trump.
Franken was elected to serve in 2009. He was then an actor, comedian, talk show host, book writer, and currently a politican.
And like Trump, Franken is now accused of sexaul abuse.
Leeann Tweeden, a former model, TV host, currently a radio news reporter shared a photo of her being allegedly groped by Franken when he was doing his USO charity event. The picture shows his hands close to the woman.
On radio, Tweeden shares her story.
In December of 2006, I embarked on my ninth USO Tour to entertain our troops, my eighth to the Middle East since the 9/11 attacks. My father served in Vietnam and my then-boyfriend(and now husband, Chris) is a pilot in the Air Force, so bringing a ‘little piece of home’ to servicemembers stationed far away from their families was both my passion and my privilege.
Also on the trip were country music artists Darryl Worley, Mark Wills, Keni Thomas, and some cheerleaders from the Dallas Cowboys. The headliner was comedian and now-senator, Al Franken.
Franken had written some skits for the show and brought props and costumes to go along with them. Like many USO shows before and since, the skits were full of sexual innuendo geared toward a young, male audience.
As a TV host and sports broadcaster, as well as a model familiar to the audience from the covers of FHM, Maxim and Playboy, I was only expecting to emcee and introduce the acts, but Franken said he had written a part for me that he thought would be funny, and I agreed to play along.
When I saw the script, Franken had written a moment when his character comes at me for a ‘kiss’. I suspected what he was after, but I figured I could turn my head at the last minute, or put my hand over his mouth, to get more laughs from the crowd.
Former model now TV and radio commentator Leeann Tweeden accused Democratic senator Al Franken of Minnesota of groping her and trying to kiss her.
On the day of the show Franken and I were alone backstage going over our lines one last time. He said to me, “We need to rehearse the kiss.” I laughed and ignored him. Then he said it again. I said something like, ‘Relax Al, this isn’t SNL…we don’t need to rehearse the kiss.’
He continued to insist, and I was beginning to get uncomfortable.
He repeated that actors really need to rehearse everything and that we must practice the kiss. I said ‘OK’ so he would stop badgering me. We did the line leading up to the kiss and then he came at me, put his hand on the back of my head, mashed his lips against mine and aggressively stuck his tongue in my mouth.
I immediately pushed him away with both of my hands against his chest and told him if he ever did that to me again I wouldn’t be so nice about it the next time.
I walked away. All I could think about was getting to a bathroom as fast as possible to rinse the taste of him out of my mouth.
I felt disgusted and violated.
Not long after, I performed the skit as written, carefully turning my head so he couldn’t kiss me on the lips.
No one saw what happened backstage. I didn’t tell the Sergeant Major of the Army, who was the sponsor of the tour. I didn’t tell our USO rep what happened.
At the time I didn’t want to cause trouble. We were in the middle of a war zone, it was the first show of our Holiday tour, I was a professional, and I could take care of myself. I told a few of the others on the tour what Franken had done and they knew how I felt about it.
I tried to let it go, but I was angry.
Other than our dialogue on stage, I never had a voluntary conversation with Al Franken again. I avoided him as much as possible and made sure I was never alone with him again for the rest of the tour.
Franken repaid me with petty insults, including drawing devil horns on at least one of the headshots I was autographing for the troops.
But he didn’t stop there.
The tour wrapped and on Christmas Eve we began the 36-hour trip home to L.A. After 2 weeks of grueling travel and performing I was exhausted. When our C-17 cargo plane took off from Afghanistan I immediately fell asleep, even though I was still wearing my flak vest and Kevlar helmet.
It wasn’t until I was back in the US and looking through the CD of photos we were given by the photographer that I saw this the picture.
I couldn’t believe it. He groped me, without my consent, while I was asleep.
I felt violated all over again. Embarrassed. Belittled. Humiliated.
How dare anyone grab my breasts like this and think it’s funny.
I told my husband everything that happened and showed him the picture.
I wanted to shout my story to the world with a megaphone to anyone who would listen, but even as angry as I was, I was worried about the potential backlash and damage going public might have on my career as a broadcaster.
But that was then, this is now. I’m no longer afraid.
This is already being splashed on social media.
Franken came out publicly to admit that he fucked up. He apologized but it won't calm the storm. The senator publicly released a statement today.
Bet you money, conservative agitators are already calling for his resignation.
Bet you money, there are more victims.
Bet you money, he isn't the only one in Washington, DC, Hollywood, Broadway, Silicon Valley, the church, the schools and fly over country caught up in sex scandals or allegations of sexual harassment.
Politics aside, it's mostly White men in power. Regardless of how we see it.
Yes, people of color have used power to take advantage of men and women.
I like most men love sex. We live in a sex fueled society where we are driven by things that drive us to sex. The opoid crisis has women selling their bodies for arm candy.
Women don't have the sex drive men have.
Everyone is held to a standard. The inappropriate behavior and jokes are no longer amusing.
The pictures of you can be used against you.
Franken caught up in sex scandal.
Bill O'Reilly is a former nemesis of Franken. I bet he's dying to hop on social media demanding that he should get his job back after Franken had his 30 minutes.
Count on Fox News to exploit this scandal.
Reminder the second most dangerous threat in the United States is sexual abuse. Lawmakers in Washington are concerned.
If we can hold Franken, Moore, Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey, Brett Reiner, Bill Cosby and Bill Clinton accountable, how about Donald J. Trump?
If you believe Tweeden's account, then you should believe Moore and Trump's accusers.
Also, Sean "Softball" Hannity is facing a backlash. The most annoying conservative agitator in the history of junk food media is facing an advertising boycott. His constant defense of Moore has ran its course.
His show has been the focus of controversy.
The softball had called upon Moore to explain himself, but also continues to drag Bill Clinton in. He keeps on forgetting the current leader and his alleged sexual assaults.
The total is nine....
The Washington Post release another bombshell about Roy Moore and his cruising at the local Gadsden Mall.
Kayla McLaughlin and Gena Richardson worked at the local Sears and they have some stories to tell about him.
They claimed Moore chased the down for a phone number. And to matter this interesting, Richardson was called to the office on day only to find out it was Moore bugging.
“He said, ‘You can just call me Roy,’ ” says Richardson, who says this first encounter happened in the fall of 1977, just before or after her 18th birthday, as Moore, then a 30-year-old local attorney, was gaining a reputation for pursuing young women at the mall in Gadsden, Ala. His overtures caused one store manager to tell new hires to “watch out for this guy,” another young woman to complain to her supervisor and Richardson to eventually hide from him when he came in Sears, the women say.
Richardson says Moore — now a candidate for U.S. Senate — asked her where she went to school, and then for her phone number, which she says she declined to give, telling him that her father, a Southern Baptist preacher, would never approve.
A few days later, she says, she was in trigonometry class at Gadsden High when she was summoned to the principal’s office over the intercom in her classroom. She had a phone call.
“I said ‘Hello?’” Richardson recalls. “And the male on the other line said, ‘Gena, this is Roy Moore.’ I was like, ‘What?!’ He said, ‘What are you doing?’ I said, ‘I’m in trig class.’ ”
Richardson says Moore asked her out again on the call. A few days later, after he asked her out at Sears, she relented and agreed, feeling both nervous and flattered. They met that night at a movie theater in the mall after she got off work, a date that ended with Moore driving her to her car in a dark parking lot behind Sears and giving her what she called an unwanted, “forceful” kiss that left her scared.
“I never wanted to see him again,” says Richardson, who is now 58 anda community college teacher living in Birmingham. She describes herself as a moderate Republican and says she didn’t vote in the 2016 general election or in this year’s Republican Senate primary in Alabama.
This guy who was infamously known for his stance on the Ten Commandments and gay marriage is embroiled in a pedophilia scandal.
The then assistant district attorney who hung around the mall during the late 1970s and early 80s trolled for women.
Some of the young girls who worked in the stores were actually warned about Moore. They were told to stay away from him and ignore him and he might go away.
Roy Moore is toast.
The concerns got the attention of mall security. The mall publicly banned Moore from the property. That was reported in the New Yorker.
The Moore campaign dismisses the allegations. They sent a letter personally to the softball and he read it during his right wing carnival.
Uh, damn it's getting worse for the Republican Party, Donald J. Trump and the folks over at Fox News.
The race is still likely Republican.
Democratic candidate Doug Jones has a 45% chance of winning. Despite the controversy, Moore has a steady backing of support and he has a 55% of winning.
The sixth accuser came out to denounce Roy Moore. The Republican is still denying he sexually assault underage girls and young women.
Tina Johnson comes forth to discuss an incident with the embattled senatorial candidate. Johnson spoke to al.com to discuss her experience with Roy Moore.
She described him as a lawyer who was just too flirty with her. She remember wearing a black dress and more compliment and her constantly on her appearance.
In 1991, she was going through a bitter divorce and she relied on Moore's services. The woman said that she could feel his breath creep up on her.
"He kept commenting on my looks, telling me how pretty I was, how nice I looked," recalled Johnson. "He was saying that my eyes were beautiful."
It made her uncomfortable. "I was thinking, can we hurry up and get out of here?"
Johnson was 28 years old, in a difficult marriage headed toward divorce, and unemployed. She was at the office to sign over custody of her 12-year-old son to her mother, with whom he'd been living. Her mother had hired Moore to handle the custody petition.
Johnson had two young daughters at the time with her then-husband, and her son said he wanted to live with his grandmother.
At one point during the meeting, she said, Moore came around the desk and sat on the front of it, just inches from her. He was so close, she said, she could smell his breath.
According to Johnson, he asked questions about her young daughters, including what color eyes they had and if they were as pretty as she was. She said that made her feel uncomfortable, too.
Once the papers were signed, she and her mother got up to leave. After her mother walked through the door first, she said, Moore came up behind her.
It was at that point, she recalled, he grabbed her buttocks.
"He didn't pinch it; he grabbed it," said Johnson. She was so surprised she didn't say anything. She didn't tell her mother.
She said she told her sister years later how Moore had made her feel uncomfortable during that meeting. Her sister told AL.com she remembers the conversation.
Tina Johnson comes forth with allegations of sexual assault by Roy Moore.
Johnson reached out to AL.com earlier this week to talk about her experience with Moore.
AL.com located the court documents from 1991, detailing the custody transfer. Cofield's petition for custody is signed by Roy S. Moore, attorney. It lists his address as 924 Third Avenue, Gadsden.
Johnson has had ups and downs in her life, both before and after she met Moore. She has pled guilty to writing bad checks, and for third-degree theft of property, which she said stemmed from family disagreement over the care of her late stepfather.
Since marrying her husband, Morris Johnson, in 2010, she said she has been working to improve her life.
"I'm not perfect," she said. "I have things in my background and I know (the public) will jump on anything, but (what happed with Moore) is still the truth, and the truth will stand when the world won't."
Johnson, who is now disabled, considers herself a devout Christian and regularly attends a church near her home in Gadsden. She said she is not political and doesn't follow politics. She said she has not spoken with Moore since that day in his office, and does not know any of the five other women who have come forward with accusations against him.
"This is not a politics thing with me," she said. "It's more of a moral and religious thing." It has bothered her over the years to see Moore on TV, talking about his Christian faith.
She wanted to come forward publicly now, she said, because it's hard for victims of harassment to talk openly about their experiences.
"I want people know that it's OK to finally say something," she said. "I guess I'm ashamed I didn't say nothing, didn't turn around and slap him."
A spokesperson for the Roy Moore campaign contacted in advance had not given AL.com a response by publication time
Wow. There is a seventh accuser as well.
Kelly Harrison Throp was 17 years old when Moore came to her job at Red Lobster. The lawyer would often go in and flirt with her. He pulled on her hair and asked her if she would go out with him. She said no and got out the area quickly. She told her boss and family. This happened in 1982.
"He was a public figure in this small town," she said of Moore, who at the time was in his early 30s and the deputy district attorney for Etowah County. Later that year he would mount an unsuccessful campaign for circuit court judge.
Thorp said Moore asked her if she'd go out with him sometime.
"I just kind of said, 'Do you know how old I am?'" she recalled.
"And he said, 'Yeah. I go out with girls your age all the time.'"
Still in this race.
Thorp said she turned him down and told him she had a boyfriend. She said he then walked away.
Thorp said she later told a family member but did not tell the story publicly. She moved away from Gadsden the following year, and has just recently moved back.
Thorp knows one of Moore's accusers, Leigh Corfman, who told The Washington Post that Moore had a sexual encounter with her when she was 14. Thorp believes Corfman's story and said she is proud of her for telling it publicly.
There's feuding brewing between white extremist/Breitbart News CEO Stephen Bannon and conservative agitator Matt Drudge.
Drudge labeled him "Judge Whore!"
This latest allegation broke only an hour after Moore's legal team demanded the fifth accuser to turn over her yearbook. Moore's lawyers said that the yearbook signature is fake and demands Gloria Allred to show them proof.
What a day. The Republican National Committee cut ties with Moore after allegations of Moore being banned from the Gadsden Mall after he was trolling young girls.
Dallas district attorney was fired out the cannon after a belligerent outburst towards an Uber driver.
Again, I drive for Uber on the side. The company is still under fire for sexual harassment, rider's fares, lack of compassion, and dangers for riders and passengers.
I can testify to that.
The junk food media is talking about a Dallas County assistant district attorney was fired out the cannon after she got caught on tape berating an Uber driver.
Jody Warner now seeks help. She found herself in a major controversy after an Uber driver recorded her drunk verbal assault on him. Not only this went viral, her bosses saw that she didn't conduct herself professionally.
Uber driver has no apologies for that woman losing her job.
She tried to weld power by threatening to report the driver. She would claim he tried to kidnap and rape her.
Warner was apologetic to the driver. She claimed that he was the instigator though. The driver said that she clearly used her power to defame him and tried to get him fired out the cannon with Uber.
Warner was offered other positions in neighboring counties. She said that she will get help for her drinking.
Mercedes Colwin loses her job after an appearance on Sean "Softball" Hannity's right wing carnival.
Media Matters for America, is a non-profit progressive media watchdog group.
Its president, Angelo Carusone is adamant that he can finally hold the most annoying conservative agitator in the history of media, accountable for his years of divisive rhetoric.
Sean "Softball" Hannity is facing an ad backlash. The most annoying conservative agitator in the history of media has lost nearly 20 advertisers due to support of Roy Moore, the embattled Alabama senatorial candidate.
His comments on radio and television triggered a huge backlash and many Americans are finally realizing that Softball Hannity's advertisers are promoting pedophilia.
It seems now that one of his notable agitators lost her job at a law firm in New York.
Mercedes Colwin was fired out the cannon at Gordon Rees Scully after her appearance on his right-wing carnival. She hopped on social media to apologize for the appearance.
First and foremost, I am profoundly sympathetic of anyone who has been the victim of sexual harassment and believe they deserve full and complete protection under the law. (1)
As someone who has a deceased sister who was a victim of domestic violence, I know predators exist and deserve to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. (2)
My comments made during Hannity were addressing circumstances which I have observed both as an administrative law judge and an attorney over a number of decades. (3)
In my experience, there were cases where incidents of alleged sexual harassment can
be misrepresented or even fabricated as a means of leveraging an advantage in
court or otherwise. (4)
My intent was not to trivialize or minimize the impact of sexual harassment on any victims of such practices or to condone such behaviors in any setting, whether business or personal. (5)
Having considered the comments, especially my "very few and far between" remark which has regretfully caused tumult and pain, it was made in the context of civil cases of sexual harassment that I've handled as an attorney and as a judge.(6)
I sincerely apologize that I did not express this distinction at the end of my appearance and am deeply sorry for appearing to diminish this very important issue. (8)
She was on with Sebastian Gorka discussing the five accusers of Roy Moore.
She made this comment about the accusers.
SEAN HANNITY (HOST): And this goes back what you said. Do people do it for money, do they do it political reasons? How come -- Is it more common than people would think?
MERCEDES COLWIN: Oh definitely. I mean they’ll do this for --
HANNITY: They will lie to make money.
COLWIN: Undoubtedly. I mean there are individuals that have come forward with these outrageous allegations and –
HANNITY: And that hurts all women that are victims.
COLWIN: Yes. I used to work in sex crimes in the [district attorney's] office. It was very pitiful to see that because some jurors don’t believe it because they’ve gone -- in their own lives, there are people who’ve made these accusations for money. You see this time and time and time again. And sexual harassment, that term is coined everywhere. Frankly there are -- the laws are very clear as to what it takes in order to be a violation of the law. You have to have some sort of damage. And these individuals, a lot of these women, it's all about money. And they bank on the fact that these corporations have a reputation that they want to save.
HANNITY: And this is where you thread the needle because there are women that are victims of predators.
COLWIN: Yes, there are, there are. But very few and far between. [Fox News, Hannity, 11/9/17]
Now she finds herself in the unemployment line thanks to her buddy.
Losing advertisers. Might want to puff an e-cig.
Reminder, the softball infamously got a woman fired. He was doing a prank call on the Affordable Care Act Marketplace hotline. He spoke to operator Erling Davis and questioned her for nearly 10 minutes asking her why Obamacare is a disaster. He would end up playing this on his radio and television show.
The woman was fired out the cannon soon after. When word got out, the softball did damage control. He gave her hush money and promised to help her get a better job.
We haven't heard from her since.
Sean Softball Hannity is bad for business. He needs to be held accountable for the years of peddling bullshit on radio and television.
Three crooked preachers tried to pimp young girls.
In Ohio, three pastors were indicted in a child sex trafficking conspiracy and the state and federal prosecutors said the three men pimped these young girls for prostitution.
These phony reverends Cordell Jenkins, Anthony Haynes, Kenneth Butler were in federal court to hear the charges.
One of the victims was 14 years old and they groomed her to work the stroll.
Haynes and Jenkins introduced the victim to men.
These charges carry a lengthy bid in federal time out. Estimated 25 to LIFE in federal time out. They will be labeled in Offender U.
They are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
SEXUAL ABUSE IS THE SECOND DANGEROUS THREAT IN THE UNITED STATES.
Every year and it hasn't got any better with People Magazine. For years, me and S. Baldwin constantly informed the good readers here about "The Sexiest Man" alive magazine cover.
Now I think it's time for Black activism.
The last one was Dwayne Johnson. That was the last person of color to grace the cover. The last one was 20 years ago with Denzel Washington.
Let's get the ball rolling.
People Magazine picks its "Sexiest Man Alive" cover. Notice a pattern?
Country music star and reality television host Blake Shelton graces the cover.
Many are calling him out for the past comments directed at Muslims, Blacks, LGBTQ and women.
Many are getting tired of this. I know I am. I am tired of celebrity tabloids using these titles to divide people.
People gives Americans the impression you got to be White, skinny, rich and at least newsworthy.
I expect conservatives to draw conclusions and use the minority owned magazines as a cover. Yeah, did you know that Ebony and Jet were started because of People Magazine?
John H. Johnson got fed up with magazines covers showing only White people. So he started his own and it became a success. Ebony and Jet are not as big as People.
People Magazine defines celebrity.
On the cover, Shelton was pleased about it. He hopped on social media to thank the magazine.
Shelton is dating pop star and reality star Gwen Stefani.
