The Feds Raid "Food Stamp" Millionaire!

Ohio authorities end the food stamp lifestyle of a millionaire.

Conservatives are going bananas over an Ohio man whose home was raided this week after an investigation determined he swindled from charities and the state's safety net.

He boasted that his companies developed multi-million dollar properties from Ohio to the tax haven of St. Lucia. It's funny that the well-off do take advantage of the government as well.

Ali Pascal Mahvi lives in Russell Township, Geauga County, Ohio. For nearly two years, his family was given $300 a month in food stamps. They also got assistance in paying their gas and electric bills.

They also got Medicaid.

The feds and Ohio authorities said that this was an act to steal from the state and those in need.
Millionaire played the system like a fox. Ohio and the feds stopped it.
Detectives looking into Mahvi's books. They found that he's got nearly $20 million in earnings and living the life of luxury. He has a home worth $800K, a horse barn, a set of luxury cars, overseas bank accounts and good amount of excuses to why he's not a "bad guy".

A $4 million Swiss bank account and he's paying a monthly mortgage of $4,600. The Mahvi family had claimed nothing and it raised red flags.

He lives in the suburbs of Cleveland living on the lifestyle.

He is an American man of Iranian descent. Of course, you got a two-fer. A man with a funny name who took advantage of an issue conservatives long complained about. A man who steals from the safety net.

Newt Gingrich: I'm Frankly Honored If Trump Picks Me!

Trump is considering a gasbag for his running mate.

The controversial presumptive Republican nominee is considering a washed up politician as his running mate. Would he pick him and risk a hail mary?

Newt Gingrich the failed 2012 Republican presidential candidate is being floated around as the possible vice presidential candidate to Donald J. Trump.

Oh great, the guy who once called President Barack Obama, the "food stamp president".

This washed up politician was once a House Speaker. He was part of the great Republican Revolution. He was the biggest headache to then president Bill Clinton. Now that his wife, former first lady Hillary Clinton is running for president, the Republicans are dusting off their old playbook to target her as an enabler of her husband's alleged affairs.

Around that time, Republicans were hoping to have Bill Clinton removed from office after he lied about having an affair with intern Monica Lewinsky. The Republicans were pushing this "family values" nonsense.

All the while, Newt was getting it on with a lobbyist named Callista Bisek. He was once married to a woman who was his teacher. He would have an affair on her with another woman who was an author of his crappy biography. He would deliver the news of a divorce to his first wife while being treated for cancer. After six years of marriage to his second wife, he would have this affair with this lobbyist who is currently his wife. She is 26 years younger than him.

Gingrich is a hack. He's a hypocrite, a serial cheater and moron. He needs to crawl back under a goddamn rock.

The "Contract with America" was a Republican pledge to destroy the middle class. The policies and laws passed by the Republicans created the gap that made the rich richer and the poor poorer.

Why Is It Any Of Your Business?

Okay, the safety net. It's this thing that helps the middle class and lower class. The safety net prevents Americans from rioting and/or looting. The safety net stops people from shoplifting from stores to feed their families.

The safety net prevents a person from robbing you of your luxuries.

The safety net is only 10% of the federal spending. The way some people put it, 50% of the federal spending goes to food stamps and welfare. Some people believe that the safety net is making people lazy. And this is the stuff I've heard from people who think that it will never happen to them. They get their arousal over a person using an EBT card to pay for name brand items or expensive food.

Let's have a scenario.

My job went out of business after 20 years of serving the community. I am a struggling father of four and my wife is working at local retailer. We only make less than $24,000 a year. I've have a bachelor's degree at the university and the jobs say I'm too qualified. Most of the positions that are being offered are looking for part-time work at this moment. I can't get the perfect job so I am doing odd jobs for my friends and taking advantage of other uses.
Ignorant woman berates shopper because he used his constitutional right to have a safety net.
I went to the county's job and family services and applied for food stamps. I never had this happen before. I've always believed that women who have children without fathers were taking advantage of it. I kind of gotten upset at a woman who had bought a steak using food stamps. I always believed that people on food stamps were jobless losers. Now that I'm in this situation, I fear someone will look at me as a moocher.

The state offered me $1,200 a month. I can't feed a family of four on less than $1,200.

If this was you in a scenario, what would you do?

I mean the safety net is food stamps, financial aid, farm subsidies, disaster relief, victim's aid, Medicaid, Medicare and bankruptcy protection. In some point of a person's life, this will be used.

Basically I am pretty certain that the safety net will not go anywhere anytime soon.

I hate to say this, but we're a nation of idiots. Many Americans seriously believe that the poor and the needy are the reasons to why the economy is struggling. They don't understand or they don't care.

The conservative agitators in the junk food media are pushing the narrative that Americans aren't working. This bullshit about 94 millions not working is false. If you take out the stay-at-home parent, the disabled, the incarcerated, the average school age child, the retired, the average rate of birth and the average rate of death, you would likely get the 94 million not working.

If a family of four isn't working wouldn't be that some are either children, stay at home parent, grandparent, or home care provider.

The Huffington Post has a story of an angry woman inside a Walmart going ballistic over a person using a food stamp card.

The video above shows American ignorance. The woman in the video gets upset over a man using a food stamp card in Walmart.

Some people may considered this event staged but it's happened in the public before.

"You know, I put in 50-60 hour weeks... trying to provide for my family," the man says, although some of his words are unclear.

"You're not providing for it, I am," the woman snaps back. "The government is."

"You're not," the man says.

"They take it out of my check," the woman says. "Bullshit they don't."

The man suggests she complain to her lawmaker or vote Republican.

"Oh, trust me, I am not a bleeding heart fucking liberal," the woman answers.

The rest of the clip contains a similar back-and-forth, punctuated with expletives. Both appear to be shopping with children.

"Deal with it, bitch," the man says at one point.

At another point, the woman claims the man must be a supporter of Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.

"That's exactly what you vote for, they give it to you so that you vote that way," the woman says. "I'm not stupid. I have a degree. I'm pretty damn smart."

This is truly a Donald Trump supporter. A person who believes that Making America Great Again means destroying the safety net.

Work Or You Don't Eat!

Republicans are happy to see the poor work for food stamps.

Here we go again. It seems like meddling in your personal business or your refrigerator is Republican business. They want smaller government when it comes to polluting the water and air. Now they want to keep the poor and needy hungry by passing laws or modifying legislation to require the unable to work so they can earn food stamps.

I've listened to that annoying conservative agitator Sean Hannity bitch about 47 million Americans being on food stamps. The most ignorant quote comes from failed presidential candidate Newt Gingrich.

Gingrich said that President Barack Obama is the most successful "food stamp president".

Republicans and the Trumpublicans believe that the Obama economy is a disaster.

This populist behavior is scary for America. The White outrage machine is cranked to the max.

With unemployment leveling off, Republicans can now feel confident to take food stamps from those who can't support a family under $300 food stamp subsidies a month.

More than 1 million low-income residents in 21 states could soon lose their government food stamps if they fail to meet work requirements that began kicking in this month.

The rule change in the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program was triggered by the improving economy — specifically, falling unemployment. But it is raising concerns among the poor, social service providers and food pantry workers, who fear an influx of hungry people.

Recent experience in other states indicates that most of those affected will probably not meet the work requirements and will be cut off from food stamps.

For many people, "it means less food, less adequate nutrition. And over the span of time, that can certainly have an impact on health — and the health care system," said Dave Krepcho, president and chief executive of the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.

Advocates say some adults trying to find work face a host of obstacles, including criminal records, disabilities or lack of a driver's license.

The work-for-food requirements were first enacted under the 1996 welfare reform law signed by President Bill Clinton and sponsored by then-Rep. John Kasich, who is now Ohio's governor and a Republican candidate for president.

The provision applies to able-bodied adults ages 18 through 49 who have no children or other dependents in their home. It requires them to work, volunteer or attend education or job-training courses at least 80 hours a month to receive food aid. If they don't, their benefits are cut off after three months.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture can waive those work rules, either for entire states or certain counties and communities, when unemployment is high and jobs are scarce. Nearly every state was granted a waiver during the recession that began in 2008. But statewide waivers ended this month in at least 21 states, the largest group since the recession.

An Associated Press analysis of food aid figures shows that nearly 1.1 million adults stand to lose their benefits in those 21 states if they do not get a job or an exemption. That includes about 300,000 in Florida, 150,000 in Tennessee and 110,000 in North Carolina. The three states account for such a big share because they did not seek any further waivers for local communities.

n Tennessee, Terry Work said her 27-year-old deaf son recently was denied disability payments, meaning he is considered able-bodied. And that means he stands to lose his food stamps, even though she said her son has trouble keeping a job because of his deafness.

"I know there's going to be a lot of people in the county hurt by this," said Work, founder of Helping Hands of Hickman County, a social service agency in a community about an hour west of Nashville.

Nationwide, some 4.7 million food stamp recipients are deemed able-bodied adults without dependents, according to USDA. Only 1 in 4 has any income from a job. They receive an average of $164 a month from the program.

In states that already have implemented the work requirements, many recipients have ended up losing their benefits.

Wisconsin began phasing in work requirements last spring. Of the 22,500 able-bodied adults who became subject to the change between April and June, two-thirds were dropped from the rolls three months later for failing to meet the requirements.

Some states could have applied for partial waivers but chose not to do so.

North Carolina's Republican-led government enacted a law last fall accelerating implementation of the work requirements and barring the state from seeking waivers unless there is a natural disaster. State Sen. Ralph Hise said the state was doing a disservice to the unemployed by providing them long-term food aid.

"People are developing gaps on their resumes, and it's actually making it harder for individuals to ultimately find employment," said Hise, a Republican who represents a rural part of western North Carolina.

In Missouri, the GOP-led Legislature overrode a veto by Democratic Gov. Jay Nixon to enact a law barring the state from waiving work requirements until at least 2019. The three-month clock started ticking Jan. 1 for 60,000 people in Missouri, where unemployment is down to just 4.4 percent.

"We were seeing a lot of people who were receiving food stamps who weren't even trying to get a job," said the law's sponsor, Sen. David Sater, a Republican whose Missouri district includes the tourist destination of Branson. "I know in my area you can find a temporary job for 20 hours (a week) fairly easily. It just didn't seem right to me to have somebody doing nothing and receiving food stamps."

Others say it's not that simple to find work, even with an improving economy.

Joe Heflin, 33, of Jefferson City, said he has been receiving food stamps for more than five years, since an injury ended his steady job as an iron worker and led to mental illness during his recovery. He said he gets nearly $200 a month in food stamps and has no other income. Heflin was recently notified that his food stamps could end if he doesn't get a job or a disability exemption.

"I think it's a crummy deal," Heflin said while waiting in line at a food pantry. "I think they ought to look into individuals more, or at least hear them out. ... I depend on it, you know, to eat."

Policymakers often "don't realize a lot of the struggles those individuals are dealing with," said Mariana Chilton, director of the Center for Hunger-Free Communities at Drexel University in Philadelphia.

Some are dealing with trauma from military service or exposure to violence and abuse, Chilton said. Others have recently gotten out of prison, making employers hesitant to hire them. Some adults who are considered able-bodied nonetheless have physical or mental problems.

A study of 4,145 food stamp recipients in Franklin County, Ohio, who became subject to work requirements between December 2013 and February 2015 found that more than 30 percent said they had physical or mental limitations that affected their ability to work. A similar percentage had no high school diploma or equivalency degree. And 61 percent lacked a driver's license.

"There should have been more thought on how we look at employment and not thinking that people are sitting there, getting food stamps because they are lazy and don't want to work," said Octavia Rainey, a community activist in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Some states have programs to help food stamp recipients improve their job skills. Elsewhere, it's up to individuals to find programs run by nonprofit groups or by other state agencies. Sometimes, that can be daunting.

Rainey said people who received letters informing them they could lose their food stamps sometimes were placed on hold when they called for more information — a problem for those using prepaid calling cards. And in Florida, food aid recipients received letters directing them to a state website for information.

"A lot of these folks, they don't have computers, they don't have broadband access," said Krepcho, the Central Florida food bank executive. "That's ripe for people falling off the rolls."

Say if you're disabled by being either deaf, blind, schizophrenic, allergic to an element, or terminally ill, there may be an ounce of sympathy towards these people. But given what Republicans are today, they wouldn't care.

When you're a felon in certain states, it's nearly impossible to get a job in the United States. Let alone you're a sexual offender and you're trying to find a job.

Blame the poor and needy for the economy. See the Republicans have love for the wealthy. They refuse to raise taxes on the rich. They refuse to increase Supplemental Nutrient Assistance Program to those who have no options

Hell I just had my rent go up in my crappy one bedroom apartment. I can't obtain food stamps because I make $1,340 a month in earnings at my job.

At best I make $25,000 a year working at my job. That's just slightly under middle class.

I can't even obtain food stamps because of that. I am single and have no children. I am able bodied and I still don't make enough.

The middle and lower class needs the safety net. It prevents them from robbing and looting stores.

Cause if you have to steal to keep food on the table, you probably would. Trust me, if the opportunities were given, the poor would steal from a grocery store if they couldn't have access to the safety nets. Believe me, you never know what happens until you become one of them!

If you're disabled, I guess that you better get better. Because you're going to need a job as well. If you're in need of a firearm, get one because you're going to need it.

In the minds of the racist right, some are fixated on those "gubmint" leeches taking out of their hardworking pockets. They don't see that less than 10% of the federal funds go to food stamps. Most of the federal funds go to either infrastructure and federal agencies.

With the rising costs of electricity, heat, food, gas, rent, necessities such as toilet paper are going up, more people are using safety nets. The more things that go up, the likelihood that many would resort to safety nets and food banks for assistance.

People on food stamps didn't cause an economic recession. The economy went under because of the auto, financial, housing and banking industry collapsing.

Rules Of Disengagement!

Steak out!

I almost want to say it's staged.

There was this asshat who ran up on family loading groceries into their vehicle. He decides to confront the family because they used a food stamp card to purchase food. What got him livid was the fact that one of them was using his money to purchase lottery tickets.

In the 2 minute YouTube video, you clearly hear the man confront them for using food stamps and purchasing lottery.

They get into a verbal tirade.

The guy stops his vehicle and jumps out. He confronts the woman who is allegedly pregnant smoking and then sees a steak inside the shopping cart. He picks it up an ultimately declares that

"Steak is for fucking taxpayers"!
Man films couple after he caught them purchasing food with EBT. One of the person filmed was playing with lottery tickets.
Now would you want someone coming up on you yelling and then reach into your grocery cart?

I seriously believe it's a staged act to generate click bait. Because if this guy was bold enough to do this, he should get the cuffs and a night in the county lockup.

The safety net includes social security, disability, food stamps, farm aid, Medicare, Medicaid, and welfare. Don't forget there's veteran's assistance, disaster relief, student aid, and victim's claims.

The middle class, lower class and those who are too poor are the core of the safety net.

The rise in energy, rent, insurance, food and gas, people are turning to food stamps, food banks and government assistance to keep themselves from landing in the homeless shelter.

Without a safety net, these people will rob and kill those who have the luxuries of having food in the refrigerator or in the pantry. They would steal fuel, water, bread, baby formula, diapers and meat to keep feeding their families. And yet, these Republicans and their conservative allies are thinking the poor are the reasons for the economic recession. Perhaps those who complain about the poor, should walk a day in that person's shoes!

The Republican Party and its allies in the conservative movement are heartless when it comes to the lower and middle class. In their warped minds, the lower class and those who are too poor are stealing from the taxpayers by accepting food stamps, welfare and necessaries.

T.J.Maxx Let The Shirts Hang Out On Display!

View image on TwitterT.J.Maxx, Marshall's and Home Goods are discount outlets that operate in the United States and Canada. They operate under T.J.Holdings, Inc.

If you're looking for clothes that the major retailers couldn't sell at mark up value, you head to T.J,Maxx for the hook up. Most of their clothes are reasonably priced and still trendy.

There was a controversy this week. The T.J.Maxx and Marshall's stores had to pull back the rope literally.

They were selling shirts that had "hang loose" on them with a noose. Yeah, that would be a real hoot if you're into that type of behavior.

Tavik the company that made that tee told the junk food media that it will disappear off their website.

The freedom of speech allows this type of shirt be on display at a retail store. I can imagine that one knucklehead going around a neighborhood of non-White residents saying "Yo, you ________ want to 'hang out' with me!"

It would have been ignored hadn't a shopper noticed it and posted on the social media. It would go viral and the company had to cave to the pressure.

It was in the suburban Orlando, Florida where a Kissimmee woman saw that and went to the social media to vent off about it.

You know that kind of makes sense. If you have a shirt that tell you to "hang loose", I guess you referring to hanging yourself or you planning on lynching someone.

Who knows?

I betcha you will never catch me wearing this piece of shit. And no, I don't find it pleasantly provocative.

Let's hang out.

This discussion on race.....

I know that we are free to be ignorant bigots. I understand that a portion of the United States still harbors some bigoted views towards race, gender, sexuality, nationality, religion, social and economic standings.

That stuff exists. I never thought I would be subjected to racism when I am pulled over by the law, called a NIGGER to my face, and fearing that institutional racism will deny me opportunities for success.

You may think I'm overreacting. But seriously I am not.

Black men and women are often targeted for racial profiling. They are often looked at as shoplifters, thieves, drug addicts and trouble makers. When one Black person commits a crime in America, the racist right wants to bring all of us and President Barack Obama into this. For one criminal in the Black community, the racist right concludes all of us to be a part of this.

They have a right to be bigots.
Discount clothing store pulls controversial tees.
Deep in their hearts, they know eventually that day will come when they find out their children are dating someone who isn't White. They will find out their child came out as gay or transgender. They will find out that their child doesn't believe in their God, their political party or their economic philosophies.

And when we can more of that, you'll see less of these extremists.

You know what makes me mad. There are hundreds of anti-Black, anti-Obama websites. But give the country one anti-White website, the conservative agitators go bonkers. They would immediately blame Obama for the anti-White website.

So as you "hang loose", I want to get my rant on about how the freedom of speech is a right. But sometimes this right can go too far.

Sweet Death!

Chocolate will increase.

The average king size candy bar is going to increase this year. The price of chocolate will skyrocket because there's a shortage. A huge shortage of chocolate.

I seen a king size candy bar priced at $1.99. Only five years ago, the average price for a candy bar was $1.29.

American chocolate maker Mars, Incorporated announced that it's going to be a rough year for the supply.

CBS News reports that the cost of ingredients in chocolate bars is rising, and the nation's biggest candy makers have already warned of price hikes next year. And it's not just costs that are pushing up prices. A growing sweet tooth around the world means more demand for chocolate.

The chocolate industry, a steadily growing, $50 billion-a-year worldwide business centered on the sale and consumption of chocolate, is prevalent throughout most of the world. Europe accounts for 45% of the world's chocolate revenue.

Big Chocolate is the grouping of major international chocolate companies in Europe and the U.S.

The U.S. companies, such as Mars and Hershey’s alone, generate $13 billion a year in chocolate sales and account for two-thirds of U.S. production.

Despite the expanding reach of the chocolate industry internationally, cocoa farmers and laborers in the Ivory Coast are unaware of the uses of the beans. The high cost of chocolate in the Ivory Coast also means that it is inaccessible to the majority of the population, who are unaware of what it tastes like.

The biggest days to sell chocolate is Valentine's Day, Easter, and Halloween.

The most popular chocolate products, Kit Kat, NesQuik Chocolate Milk, Reese's, Oreo cookies and Pillsbury cookies.

Hannity: Jon Stewart Caught A STD D**k-Riding Obama!

Gloating about Republican victory, that annoying conservative agitator reignites his feud with Jon Stewart.

Of course that's not what that annoying ass conservative agitator said, but it's more worthy of what the tension is between him and Comedy Central's Jon Stewart.

On the note of who deserves credit for Republicans taking control of Congress. I give credit to Laura Ingraham as the one who helped the insurgency and Republicans take control of Congress. She is the most active and somewhat likable agitator in the conservative media. Without her influences on the Republican primaries, none of this would have happen.

Congratulations to her and the Republicans.

Someone who I refuse to give credit to is this annoying ass conservative agitator who was demoted for being somewhat of a pain in the neck for Chief Roger. He and the old fart in the afternoon get no credit. I wish they were more active in making Republicans look even more stupider than they are. These agitators may have popped the corks of their champagne bottles and firearms, but you can't seriously give them credit for a lackluster turnout. A crop of weak candidates who ran away from the president when things were getting better. Despite the good, the Democrats went soft and got slammed hard.

Now this is the very same man who picked a fight with a comedian only seven months ago during a debate over an extremist rancher squaring off with federal land agents over his cattle grazing on protected land.

Now he doing a little gloating and a not so nice shot at the comedian. He said that Jon Stewart of the Daily Show has his head so far up Obama's ass, it's unbelievable he can see clearly.
Expect this feud to get even uglier when Jon Stewart responds to that annoying conservative agitator's comments.
"Nearly 50 million Americans on food stamps, nearly 50 million in poverty, the lowest labor participation rate since 1978, and Jon's beloved president who once said George Bush's debt was 'irresponsible and unpatriotic' has almost accumulated more debt then every other President before him combined," Hannity wrote. "Do I even need to remind him about keeping our doctors, our health plans and saving money? And how is that healthcare website working out?  Or Iraq, Isis, the 'Russian reset'?"

"Jon's problem is he has his head so far up Obama's ass he cannot see clearly, he is obviously better suited to reading his joke writers material, and making his clapping seal audience happy," Hannity continued.

"I await another Rally to Restore Sanity with Fatwah supporter Cat Stevens!!" he said, referring to the event that Stewart and Stephen Colbert hosted in Washington, D.C., in 2010.

This was from The Politico. This was a response to the Rolling Stone interview Stewart had in which he referred to the annoying conservative agitator as "loathsome".

Stewart reflects on the midterm elections. The Rolling Stone had interviewed him on his tenure and what makes his show successful and his new movie Rosewater, a thriller that's coming to theaters this fall. They also mentioned his ongoing attacks on Loserville.

Stewart made note that he respects O'Loofus as a broadcaster, but slams that network as an instrument for the divisive and destructive culture in American media.
He love to mock Loserville for its sensationalist reports.
I think that [Chief Roger's tactics created a great gift that was] mainstreaming that nativist, paranoid streak in American politics and putting it on television in a much prettier, shinier box. What they did was change the inflection point. AM talk radio is, "We are being robbed by communists and progressives that are destroying this country. They are a cancer and treasonous!" [Loserville] does it like, [sweet, cheery voice] "Are we being run by communists? Is it treason what they're doing? Let's have the discussion."

[That annoying conservative agitator] is a populist with a nativist bent. There's that sort of grand nostalgia that a certain type of populist has for the country that used to exist in this magical state, but that's not actually real. O'Loofus has this vision of Levittown and how it made him, but there was a bar of entry to that. The fact his family could get that house and build wealth there is a big deal.

[That annoying conservative agitator] is probably the most loathsome dude over there. That's just pure cynicism, and it's horrible. Everything is presented in as devious a manner as it could be possibly be presented. [And if asked to appear on the Daily Show, it's not going to happen] That's probably a shortcoming, but I have no interest in that. I probably should. It would be interesting, I guess.

I guess Stewart will respond to the "head up Obama's ass" remark on his program tonight. We'll see. The junk food media does love to cover their feud.

Alright, before you give any feedback to this story. Ground rules. I will not refer to that annoying conservative agitator by name in any of my postings. The only time I refer to him by his name is only in the title. I listen to his show on radio and television and I do get tired of him repeating Obama's name over and over. He says Obama name over 1,000 times in a day. That's why I refer to him as an annoying conservative agitator.

Second, I don't have much respect for that network. I believe it's a communication arm for the Republican Party.

Third, I will refer to Bill O'Reilly as O'Loofus.

I will not mention that network by name. I will call it Loserville. The reason comes from Obama New (aka MSNBC) president Phil Griffin's takedown of that network during its brief surge in ratings.

I decided to stick with it.

The comment section is open for anyone to respond to the story. Again, leave a name and message.

Burger King And Tim Horton's Merge!

You're right next door.

The Canadian doughnut and coffee chain is being bought by the fast food giant in a bid to climb back from slumping sells. The slumping sells and the potential to move to Canada has the American junk food media wondering why would the company do such a thing!

Burger King dropped to the third most popular chain. McDonald's and Wendy's happen to continue to build their stock without having another anchor on their sacks.

I've always thought that Tim Horton's was a subsidiary of Wendy's. I guess I was wrong.

Okay, BK decided to shelve out $11.3 billion to buy the doughnut chain and may relocate to Canada.

The Washington Post reports that the newly merged company would become the world's third-biggest "quick service restaurant company," with more than 18,000 restaurants in 100 countries, said Burger King and Hortons in a statement Monday. The deal would create a business capable of rivaling Yum Brands, which owns Taco Bell and Pizza Hut, and is valued at more than $30 billion. But while Yum Brands operates from Louisville, KY, the new Burger King and Tim Hortons parent company would likely station itself in the Ontario province of Canada.
Bow to the King!
On the surface, the reason for a headquarter shift across the country's northern border is simple: lower corporate taxes.

As we have have noted before, when a company reincorporates abroad, as the practice is known, what it's really doing is shifting its corporate citizenship; and when a company shifts its corporate citizenship, what it's really doing is trying to pay less in taxes. The nominal corporate tax rate in the U.S., which combines national, state, and city-level tax rates, is nearly 40 percent—the highest across all 34 Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) member countries. Canada's, by comparison, is just over 26 percent.

Burger King would hardly be the first large American corporation to move its headquarters—more than 70 U.S. companies have reincorporated overseas since the early 1980s. The practice has been especially popular lately—more than half of those inversions have come since 2003, or almost double the amount that did in the twenty years prior, according to data from Congressional Research Service (CRS).

The Post added Burger King has been itching to gain a greater share of the coveted American breakfast market. Breakfast sales at fast food chains have swelled to more than $50 billion. They're also the industry's fastest growing segment—breakfast was responsible for 90 percent of the industry's growth between 2007 and 2012. Tim Hortons offers a particularly strong entry into both the U.S. and Canadian breakfast markets—the coffee chain has more than twice as many stores per capita in Canada than McDonald's has in the U.S..

Tim Hortons has also been been looking to grow internationally, a process which Burger King's global footprint might be able to help expedite. "A key driver of these discussions is the potential to leverage Burger King's worldwide footprint and experience in global development to accelerate Tim Hortons growth in international markets," the companies said in their statement.

Still, the reality that one of America's largest food companies is mulling a move to Canada--and in doing so, a move away from U.S. corporate tax rates--might not sit so well with some consumers. Shifty but legal tax maneuvers have proven unkind to food companies in the past. Starbucks saw its sales fall in the United Kingdom for the first time after it became clear the company was using complex accounting methods to lower its local tax payments.

Have it your way, eh!

What's your thoughts on Burger King merging with Tim Horton's?

Do you believe Burger King is right in its possible move to Canada?

O'Reilly's Feud With Barbara Lee Continues!

O'Loofus found his new Ludacris. This one is a Democratic representative from California.

Looks like it's O'Loofus back to his old ways. The conservative agitator now picks fights with lawmakers who he believes are "race hustlers". Instead of promoting that vile garbage he calls rap music, the kingmaker of cable agitation now sets his sights on California congresswoman Democrat Barbara Lee.

O'Loofus and his network Loserville have made it their goal to undermine President Barack Obama and help the inept Republicans take full control of the Congress. The Republicans if proven are posed to recapture the U.S. Senate.

The Republicans are hoping that they can win enough votes (i.e. Angry White Folks) to rebound after a devastating loss in the 2012 presidential elections.

It's bad enough they had to run on this "I won't work with Obama meme", but they've tied their whole campaign around the Affordable Healthcare Act. They are so fixated on Obamacare and will continue these wasted votes long after today's deadline for enrollment.

O'Loofus is so tired of Black leaders singling him and many other conservative agitators as "racist".

Last week Wisconsin Republican congressman and former vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan made comments on Bill "If We Abort Black Babies Then Crime Will Go Down" Bennett's program derailing on intercity folks not working and wanting "da gubmint sugar daddy" to help them.

Lee didn't find that comment amusing and sent out a press release saying that Ryan should apologize for his statements.
Congresswoman Barbara Lee (D-CA) would love to debate O'Loofus. Unfotunately he's such a punk. He'll never allow her on his show because he'll have to take blood pressure meds to keep him from shouting.
To "us Black folk", you don't have to blow the whistle to get our ears ringing. You just have to be a stupid ass Republican. The privileged Ryan and his former running mate perennial loser Mitt Romney continue to be anchors around the necks of potential losers for the 2016 presidential elections.

For you see Republicans like Ryan, Romney and O'Loofus are typical old White men who fear change.

They would never set foot in a Black neighborhood.

They would never experience the joys of Black culture.

They would get their generalizations from those in the news media (i.e O'Loofus' employer Loserville).

They inspire bigots to openly attack others because of race, gender, sexuality, religion, political and economic standings.

They put in the heads of mush mouths (i.e. Romeo Rose), that Blacks are criminals. Blacks are whiners. Blacks take from the White man. Blacks vote for Obama because he's like them. You know the usual word vomit that keeps them continuously in the red when it comes to minority outreach.

O'Loofus had Ryan defend his comments. Ryan cautiously walked back some of his comments and said that Lee was a "personal friend" and "he was a big boy about the criticism".

O'Loofus wasn't. He had the nerve to call her a race hustler, a liar, a pinhead and a member of the PC crew who wants to throw race in every aspect of an event that happens in America.

Lee didn't waste time knocking the agitator. Saturday on Media Matters Radio on SiriusXM, the California congresswoman stated that (Loserville, O'Loofus, That Guy Who Helped Obama Win and Megyn The Outrage Princess) are the right's decoders. O'Loofus is using coded words, she declared.

She said, “We need to hear more from people of conscience,” and admitted that when people like O’Loofus rail against people like herself, “some people could be intimidated” and feel they shouldn't speak out. Lee insisted on the importance of moving past “anger and hostility” and engaging in a real dialogue.

She basically saying "put me on the show". I'll debate your accusations.

She was a single mother who lived on food stamps before she would run for Congress. She would participate with Ohio Democratic congressman Tim Ryan and Minnesota Democratic congressman Keith Ellison for the Food Stamp Challenge.

Many lawmakers can tell you that the safety net is very important. Without that safety net, you would see those who need the safety net kill you to survive.

Here's an audio from Media Matters Radio.

And of course O'Loofus attacking Lee after she respond the first time to his racial bias.

Barbara Lee: Bill O'Reilly Ain't Nothing But A Damn Race-Baiter!

California Democratic congresswoman Barbara Lee can tell you that she was once a single mother on food stamps. She can testify to how living poor was rough.

California Democratic congresswoman Barbara Lee didn't take kind to the accusations being thrown at her by the conservative agitator. The agitator had Congressman Paul Ryan (R-WI) on to defend his controversial statements about intercity people being too lazy to work.

She devoted her time as a lawmaker to ensure that no child will never go hungry. She is a progressive voice who believes in the American safety net. She doesn't take kindly to people like Ryan and O'Loofus (both privileged White men) telling the public that "you're a parasite" if you're getting "gubmint" assistance.

Ryan, the former vice presidential nominee went on Bill "Abort Black Babies And Crime Will Go Down" Bennett's program to rant about how those "gubmint" parasites are not working and he had his "Path to Prosperity" plan on the come out!

He would say something that rang the bells. It's like he and his former running mate perennial loser Mitt Romney can't keep their traps shut. These two losers can't muster enough to go into an intercity neighborhood to at least talk to those who work at least two jobs a day.

Lee condemned the comments by Ryan. She asks for the condescending politico to apologize.

Ryan referred to the "tailspin of culture in our inner cities." Lee in turn called Ryan's comments a "thinly veiled racial attack."

“Let’s be clear, when Mr. Ryan says 'inner city,' when he says, 'culture,' these are simply code words for what he really means: 'black,'" Lee said in a statement.

On The O'Loofus Factor, Ryan said he has no bad feelings toward Lee, noting he's "a big boy" and understands that "if you challenge the status quo, sometimes you'll be misinterpreted."

Looks like she's not going to get that apology.
O'Loofus calls the poor and needy, parasites. Paul Ryan sits there and agrees.
O'Loofus decided to takes her to task by labeling her a "race hustler".

O'Loofus claims that Lee don't want to have a conversation and that they "get voted into office by portraying their constituents as victims."

"And it's all your fault and it's my fault and it's rich people's fault and the Republicans' fault," O'Reilly said. "It's everybody's fault except what's going on ... The race hustlers don't want to solve the problem."

Blow the dog whistle, cause we got another rabble rousing statement about Blacks yet again.

Now the conservative agitator and his network Loserville are the provocateurs of racial inst.

The congresswoman was pissed with the interview and decided to let O'Loofus know that she's not a "race hustler". But she added that O'Loofus and his network run ratings on racism. She issues a statement.

Unfortunately we’ve come to expect language like “welfare queens,” “food stamp president,” and now “race hustlers” from the right wing and Mr. O’Reilly. It is disgusting and divisive and should never be accepted in our national discourse.
For us to achieve the American dream for all, we must engage in this conversation that has been sparked about race and poverty, even if it is difficult for some. Racial discrimination, poverty, and income inequality remain issues that must be debated and addressed, and these kinds of ‘code words’ only get in the way of solving the real problems.
As members of Congress, we must come together to present a budget and funding priorities that create opportunity for all. We must make critical investments in job creation, education, and job training. Among many issues, we must address extending unemployment insurance, raising the minimum wage, enacting criminal justice reform, and securing voting rights for communities of color, so that we can truly find solutions to these critical issues.
Yeah, I agree with her. The conservative network is the heart of the racial extremism in America.

Penny Pinching!

An abandoned Walmart in Wisconsin.

The nation's largest retailer has disappointing revenues. The controversy surrounding that involves Washington and the stubborn lawmakers who won't give the poor and middle class a break.

After all, these politicos are living high on the hog while the working class are struggling from day to day trying to keep food on the table.

I can testify. I work two jobs and still can't achieve the successes of the upper income and well off.

It's a shame though that Walmart relies on all their shoppers to stay vibrant.

Food stamps were cut last year and the Congress is planning on bringing up a bill that will engage in severe cuts to the SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program).

Whenever you hear That Guy Who Helped Obama Win rant on his right wing carnival about 50 million (previously 47 million according to the right wing agitators) being on food stamps, I think to myself that those on assistance are helping Walmart stay in business. I think that those on assistance keeps me working.
Shopping easy Walmart has reinvented its image with newer ways to attract shoppers.
For you see I work in the service industry. These people on assistance are spending money to keep food on my plate. They are keeping my hours plentiful.

With the rising costs of food, gas, energy consumption and tuition, people are turning to food stamps, food banks and various charities to gain access to necessities to keep themselves from landing in the homeless shelter.

Without a safety net, these people will rob and kill those who have the luxuries of having food in the refrigerator or in the pantry. They would steal fuel, water, bread and meat to keep feeding their families.

It does affect everyone.

The Huffington Post reports that Walmart struggled at the end of last year. But according to the retailer's new estimations, it wasn't because people didn't want to buy. It was because they couldn't.

The retail giant warned Friday that the effect of last year's national food stamp cuts on its bottom line will likely be deeper than the company previously estimated. As a result its comparable same-store sales -- a retail metric that measures how stores are doing year over year -- will likely be slightly down for the fourth quarter.

“The sales impact from the reduction in SNAP [the U.S. government Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program] benefits that went into effect Nov. 1 is greater than we expected,” Walmart’s Chief Financial Officer Charles Holley said in a news release Friday. “And, second, eight named winter storms resulted in store closures that impacted traffic throughout the quarter.”

The GOP-led push to cut food stamps benefits to the tune of $5 billion left 47 million Americans reeling during a time of near record-level food insecurity.
The racist right website The Blaze was tipped off by a cart load of necessities. In 2013 a glitch in the Louisiana EBT program caused a panic and people loaded carts full of groceries.
Because about 18 percent of all total food stamp dollars are spent at its stores, according to an October report from the Wall Street Journal, Walmart can serve as a way to gauge how Americans are coping.

Walmart executives were cautiously optimistic about the effects of the cut on Walmart's bottom line last year. "Everybody's benefit is going to get cut, price will become more important. And when price is more important, we're more relevant," Bill Simon, the retail giant’s U.S. CEO, said in October. He noted that Walmart’s market share actually decreased when the food stamp program initially expanded in 2009.

But the opposite hasn't held true so far, indicating that the poorest Americans are so pinched they can’t even afford to shop at the cheapest retailers. Family Dollar, another typical destination for Americans in a squeeze, also reported disappointing earnings earlier this month, which they blamed on factors including food stamp cuts, high unemployment and the payroll tax increase.

Conservatives Rejoice: Food Stamps Are Cut!

Cuts in the SNAP program could affect families.

And who says the Republicans care about the American people?

I remember that pompous asshole Newt Gingrich was at the Republican presidential debates saying that President Barack Obama is the "food stamp president".

Why?

Because he wants to help the middle class and the poor eat food.

Yeah, that portion of the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act that advocated benefits to the Supplemental Nutrient Assistance Program is expired.

A family of four who earns less than $15,000 a year will receive a decrease in benefits.

Who knows what could happen in the coming weeks?

You know why most people vote against levies for schools and libraries?

It's because it raises the revenue on a taxpayer's property. Most state governments with Republican lawmakers cut financial aid to education and safety. And they believe that public school are indoctrinating young minds into becoming criminals. So they push for charter schools and prayer in school so they can force children.

Did you know that the SNAP program aids in feeding schoolchildren who are poor?

You probably didn't know. The racist right is so obsessed with the notion that 47 million Americans (I am guessing children) are on food stamps. They rejoicing over food stamps being cut.

Some asshole Republican congressman from Indiana is pushing for deep cuts to the food stamp program.

Congressman Marlin Stutzman (R-Indiana) presented a bill that was passed by the House. It's not likely to get through the Senate. The president threatened a veto if it was to be passed.

Yo, Obama dissed us! So we gonna diss his core base! - Congressman Marlin Stutzman (R-Indiana)
The Indiana politico was on the news saying that "he wasn't going to be disrespected" by President Barack Obama. He and many of his fellow Tea Party lawmakers believe the key to growing an economy is austerity cuts. What Republicans want is basically separate the food stamp program away from a farm bill.

With the rising food and gas prices, people are turning to food stamps, food banks and government assistance to keep themselves from landing in the homeless shelter.

Without a safety net, these people will rob and kill those who have the luxuries of having food in the refrigerator or in the pantry. They would steal fuel, water, bread and meat to keep feeding their families.

EBT Cards Are Down And Conservatives Rejoice!

EBT cards are down in several states. I am guessing conservatives are rejoicing over that one!

Yeah, I know that conservatives believe that those on food stamps and welfare are the reasons for America's turmoils. I can't fault them for believing in the poor being "moochers" and "Obama's people!"

They're entitled to be condescending. I mean that type of stuff right there is a reason for why President Barack Obama won reelection. The middle and lower class believe that the safety net is there to keep them from robbing and looting.

Republican lawmakers from state and federal levels are diligently pushing legislation that cuts food stamps and unemployment benefits to the bare bone. Some states believe that you're entitled to less than $100 for a family of four. Some believe that you have to have a drug test to get student loans, food stamps, welfare, farm aid, disaster relief and unemployment benefits.

With the rising costs of electricity, heat, food, gas, rent, necessities such as toilet paper are going up, more people are using safety nets. The more things that go up, the likelihood that many would resort to safety nets and food banks for assistance.

Conservatives are rejoicing over the nationwide glitches in the EBT program. Xerox technical services are down and many Americans can't use the EBT (electronic balance transfer) card at local stores.
Coming from ReallyGhetto.com. Assuming its a racially insensitive website.
So with this government shutdown affecting 800,000 government workers, with some getting no pay for work, I would imagine that some will apply for a "safety net' if the inept Congress can't pass a budget.

The Republicans tried to pass a bill in the House of Representatives to shed off over $40 billion in the SNAP program. The Democratic-controlled Senate and the president told the Republicans don't even try it.

But they did it anyway. This budget deal proposed by Republicans include cuts to the healthcare law, cuts to safety nets and a strong pullback on regulations (in regards to the environment).

The Associated Press reports that 17 states were affected by this problem and they're trying to fix it as quickly as possible. For conservatives, they rather see it down indefinitely.

People in Ohio, Michigan and 15 other states found themselves unable to use their food stamp debit-style cards on Saturday, after a routine check by vendor Xerox Corp. resulted in a system failure.

The electronic benefits system experienced a temporary shutdown during a routine test of Xerox back-up systems, company spokeswoman Jennifer Wasmer said Saturday.

"While the system is now up and running, beneficiaries in the 17 affected states continue to experience connectivity issues to access their benefits. Technical staff is addressing the issue and expect the system to be restored soon," Wasmer said in an emailed statement. "Beneficiaries requiring access to their benefits can work with their local retailers who can activate an emergency voucher system where available. We appreciate our clients' patience while we work through this outage as quickly as possible."

U.S. Department of Agriculture spokeswoman Courtney Rowe underscored that the outage is not related to the government shutdown.

Shoppers left carts of groceries behind at a packed Market Basket grocery store in Biddeford, Maine, because they couldn't get their benefits, said fellow shopper Barbara Colman, of Saco, Maine. The manager put up a sign saying the EBT system was not in use. Colman, who receives the benefits, called an 800 telephone line for the program and it said the system was down due to maintenance, she said.

"That's a problem. There's a lot of families who are not going to be able to feed children because the system is being maintenanced," Colman said. "No one should put maintenance in during the daytime."

She planned to reach out to local officials.

"I'm trying to reach out to everybody because I'm not thinking of me an adult who can figure out things. I'm thinking of the simpler person in the world who is sitting there trying to just do basic shopping to feed their kids. You don't want children going hungry tonight because of stupidity," she said.
This photo circulates around white extremist websites.
Ohio's cash and food assistance card payment systems went down at 11 a.m., said Benjamin Johnson, a spokesman for the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Ohio's cash system has been fixed, however he said that its electronic benefits transfer card system is still down. Johnson said Xerox is notifying retailers to revert to the manual system, meaning SNAP customers can spend up to $50 until the system is back online. SNAP recipients should call the 800 number on the back of their card, and Xerox will guide them through the purchase process.

Illinois residents began reporting problems with their cards — known as LINK in that state — on Saturday morning, said Januari Smith, spokeswoman for the Illinois Department of Human Services.

Smith said that typically when the cards aren't working retailers can call a backup phone number to find out how much money a customer has available in their account. But that information also was unavailable because of the outage, so customers weren't able to use their cards.

"It really is a bad situation but they are working to get it fixed as soon as possible," Smith said. "We hope it will be back up later today."

In Clarksdale, Miss. — one of the poorest parts of one of the poorest states in the nation — cashier Eliza Shook said dozens of customers at Corner Grocery had to put back groceries when the cards failed Saturday because they couldn't afford to pay for the food. After several hours, she put a sign on the front door to tell people about the problem.

"It's been terrible," Shook said in a phone interview. "It's just been some angry folks. That's what a lot of folks depend on."

Mississippi Department of Human Services director Rickey Berry confirmed that Xerox, the state's EBT vendor, had computer problems. He said he had been told by midafternoon that the problems were being fixed.

"I know there are a lot of mad people," Berry said.

Sheree Powell, a spokeswoman for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, started receiving calls around 11:30 a.m. about problems with the state's card systems. More than 600,000 Oklahomans receive SNAP benefits, and money is dispersed to the cards on the first, fifth and 10th days of every month, so the disruption came at what is typically a high-use time for the cards.
Plenty of experiences at a Walmart. The people of Walmart website is a popular blog that takes shots at the company and the insane things some do while shopping at the retail giant.
Oklahoma also runs a separate debit card system for other state benefits like unemployment payments. Those cards can be used at ATMs to withdraw cash. Powell said Xerox administers both the EBT and debit card systems, and they both were down initially.

Like Ohio's Johnson, Powell said that Oklahoma's cash debit card system has since been restored, but the EBT cards for the SNAP program were still down. Powell said Oklahoma's Xerox representative told them that the problems stemmed from a power failure at a data center, and power had been restored quickly.

"It just takes a while to reboot these systems," she said, adding that she did not know where the data center was located.

Powell said that some grocery store cashiers had been speculating that the federal government's shutdown caused the problem, but state officials have been assured that that is not the case.

"We are hopeful it will be up this afternoon but we were not given a specific time frame," she said.

David Akerly, a spokesman for Michigan's Department of Human Services, also confirmed that residents in his state have reported problems using their cards.

Colman said the store manager promised her that he would honor the day's store flyer discounts next week.

Before I go, do you know a friend or family member using an EBT card?

Do you believe the poor take advantage of the safety nets?

Do you support intrusive laws such as drug tests in order to receive a safety net?

Isn't what you do at home a "private matter!" See I thought libertarians and conservatives were all about limited government intrusion on what you do at home.

I guess it only applies to them and not the rest!

Here's an Ohio man ranting sarcastically about the situation. Not understand the plight of the poor, the needy and the disabled. Just ranting because he has a camera and a whole lot of bigots that agree with him. As usual, he'll speak a good game but still get the whole scenario wrong!

Ye, Without Sin!

North Carolina politicians are proposing a ban on lottery sales to people who receive public assistance.

Don't you love it when Republicans say that the BIG BAD GOVERNMENT meddles in your life?

Yet these are the very same Republicans who want to meddle in the affairs of those who they claim to be "gubmint leeches". Republicans want to meddle in a minority voting precinct. They want to meddle between women's legs. And they want to push Christianity among those who don't follow. They want to meddle in a same sex couple's bedroom. These people want to see you piss in a cup to get unemployment, food and housing assistance if you lost your home in a natural disaster.

Another old, fat, ignorant, Republican who's out of touch with the rest of reality. Meet North Carolina's Paul Stam! Stam is the guy who wants to stop welfare recipients from playing the lottery!

Yet these people continue to elect those who benefit from being "entitled" to punish the poor and needy!

This is the ongoing culture war in the United States. It's sponsored by the corporations that pollute our air, ground and water. It's sponsored by the religious leaders who chastise you for being a single parent, the family who is poor or the even that guy who's gay! It's sponsored by the media who allows the daily rambles of talk radio and online blogs to be divisive and downright racist towards fellow Americans. It's sponsored by the entitled who believe that the best way to help the poor is to drive them even poorer and help them wipe each other out with drugs, disease and gun violence.

They can't stand a Black president!

They can't stand a reasonable solution to curbing gun violence in America!

White conservatives spend most of their time collecting welfare, disability, social security and privileges based solely on race, economic and political standings as well.

Most White conservative males are obsessed with firearms and kill in the name of a religion.

When White conservative males see Blacks, Hispanics/Latinos, or even Muslims with firearms, welfare, a better job, or even running for politics: These people scream at the top of their lungs about how it's our faults for most of America's problems! They want control over us, but never control over them!

Mediaite has the goods on the next idiotic move by the culture warriors. A bill being introduced will ban any citizen in the state who receives financial assistance from playing the state lottery.

It was sponsored by North Carolina politician by Paul Stam.

Guess what party he represents?

Let's Play!
Raleigh-Durham’s ABC affiliate WTVD-TV is reporting that lawmakers in that state are proposing legislation that would bar people on welfare or in bankruptcy from purchasing lottery tickets.

As reporter Anna Laurel explains, “the lawmaker drafting this legislation told us today that the vendor selling the lottery ticket would be penalized if they know the person is on welfare or in bankruptcy, which has some questioning if this law really solves any problems.”

“We’re giving them welfare to help them live, and yet by selling them a ticket, we’re taking away their money that is there to provide them the barest of necessities.”

But as the Raleigh news team discovered, local lottery vendors have serious concerns. One clerk was quoted as saying, “I don't feel comfortable to ask my customers what their financial status is… it’s not my business.”

Meanwhile, North Carolina’s NAACP president Reverend William Barber said that while his organization doesn't “agree with the lottery to start with” he would prefer to have State representative Stam focus on larger issues “Rather than Mr. Stam having a side argument, ask him to stop blocking labor rights for poor people and working people. Ask him to have a real conversation about real wage.”

So once again, here's your government intervening in your lives. You don't want this right?

Republican Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal is right on one thing! The Republican Party has to stop being the "stupid" party! But this message continues to fall on deaf ears!

Is Retail Opening Christmas Day?

The commercialization of our holidays continues on and on! Corporations want that money! And at the expense of their underpaid and unappreciated workers, some companies may be open on Christmas.

First things first, the Walmart theory. Walmart is the world's largest retail company. This year they will be closed on Christmas. But if this company should open on Christmas day, expect all retail companies to follow. Many companies are looking into these ideas of keeping their operations active everyday.

Since Thanksgiving, our society has been pressured to get the new gadgets and do dads. They've pushed, shoved, fought, stole and even shot at one another on Thanksgiving and Black Friday. Retail loves the holiday season. It helps end their fiscal years in the black and not the red!

The country's largest fast food provider is encouraging their franchises to stay open on Christmas.

McDonald’s Corp. reportedly is asking franchise operations to remain open on Christmas Day to help boost the burger behemoth’s sales, says a report from trade publication Advertising Age.

“Starting with Thanksgiving, ensure your restaurants are open throughout the holidays,” McDonald’s USA
Chief Operating Officer Jim Johannesen wrote Nov. 8 in a company memo obtained by Ad Age. “Our largest holiday opportunity as a system is Christmas Day. Last year, (company-operated) restaurants that opened on Christmas averaged $5,500 in sales.”

The publication estimated Oak Brook, Ill-based McDonald’s made $36 million on Thanksgiving Day this year assuming $6,000 in sales at each of 6,000 U.S. restaurants that were open for the holiday.

But McDonald’s capitalistic hunger isn't as radical as some might think.

The Huffington Post reports that Denny’s, Starbucks Corp. and other food merchants expect to have “almost all” restaurants and shops open Dec. 25. Burger King Worldwide Inc. , Buffalo Wild Wings Inc.  and Yum Brands Inc.'s Pizza Hut and Taco Bell are among national chains that say some restaurants will be open, at least for limited hours.

Dublin-based Wendy’s Co. (NASDAQ:WEN) is one of the chains that expects few or none of its operations to be running on that day.

I love it and I bet most of you too. McDonald's is the largest fast food provider in the world.
Seasons bright at McDonald's. Some locations may be open on Christmas.
Some are praising the idea, others are slamming it as another attempt for ruining the holidays of their employees.

Is it a good idea?

Anyways, these businesses Walgreen's, 7-Eleven, Exxon, and the Waffle House are open everyday.

Fox Host: I'll Go On A Diet If [More Americans] Qualify For Food Stamps!

Andrea Tantaros
Andrea Tantaros, Fox News commentator.
That's not what Andrea Tantaros said, but that's what she believes. The United States Department of Agriculture has the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) to help Americans who have to feed their families.

Republicans are still simmering over their loss in the presidential election. Conservatives are fuming over the rise in food stamps. They still think that individuals who depend on government assistance as "parasites".

Those "parasites" voted against the Republicans and sent perennial loser Mitt Romney and many others packing!

The Five is on Fox News. The show replaced Glenn Beck in 2011.

Since the show's beginning they've had a handful of individuals debate the latest issues around Washington, DC and America. The show is round table of conservative agitation with former Jimmy Carter adviser Bob Beckel, the token liberal.

Tantaros, Bob Beckel, Greg Gutfield, Dan Perino, and Kimberly Guilfoyle are the feature players of the show.

What was said on that program makes you wonder why Republicans have no heart for the middle class!

What was said makes you wonder why Mitt Romney shown disdain for the American people!

This type of nonsense is regurgitated through Americans who have no clear understanding of reality. These individuals show no compassion towards those who are government assistance.

I've stated this once again for the ones who read this and many articles posted by me and LeReyna:

The safety net includes social security, disaster relief for hurricanes and earthquakes, disability, food stamps, farm aid, Medicare, Medicaid, the Pell grant, veteran's assistance and welfare.

The middle class, lower class and those who are too poor are the core of the safety net.

We've seen how conservatives reacted to the Lifeline Phone program. An Ohio woman  who supports President Barack Obama (by the way, she's Black) was harping about the "OBAMA PHONE". The woman was considered middle class and she was saying that the president was giving away "free stuff" if he's elected!

Now if you're a rational person, you've ignored that! But in the minds of conservatives, this woman is a government parasite, and the word salad of racial slurs and Obama name dropping.

If you're wondering about the dog whistle comments by perennial loser Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Congressman Ron Paul (R-Texas) and Congressman Paul Ryan (R-Wisconsin), when it comes to food stamps and poverty, you'll hear them say that they're trying to create prosperity not dependency!

The Republicans and their conservative allies are trying to create a NIGGERIZATION of the president.

With talk about the first Black president being aloof, a giver to dependency, and willing to allow events happen while he's partying with celebrities are dog whistles to White conservative males.

Think Progress and the Huffington Post has reported that Fox News' Andrea Tantaros, who co-hosts "The Five," likened food stamps to a dieting technique during her appearance on Fox Business.

When host Stuart Varney asked her if she could live off $133 to spend on food monthly, Tantaros replied, "I should try it because do you know how fabulous I’d look?"

She continued, "I’d be so skinny. I mean, the camera adds ten pounds, it really does. I’d be looking great." Varney seemed fairly amused by her answer.
