Lindsey Graham: I'll Stall Nominees Until I Get My Benghazi Answers!

Annoying senator returns to GOP Sundays with Benghazi Fever!

CBS News ran a story about the Libyan consulate tragedy last year and the Republicans still demanding answers to how four Americans being killed in Benghazi.

On GOP Sundays, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) makes his umpteenth appearance on Loserville Sunday. The annoying senator wants to block every nomination that the president presents.

And why is that?

Because the annoying ass senator wants "ANSWERS" from everyone at the U.S. Consulate. Meaning leaking information about CIA agents so their cover could be blown, and Graham will bitch about that next.

Graham, John McCain (R-AZ), Rand Paul (R-KY), Marco Rubio (R-FL), Ted Cruz (R-TX), Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Kelly Ayotte (R-NH), Mike Lee (R-UT) are gadflies. They have nothing but contempt for obstruction. And of course, they continue to get airtime. They have no accomplishments but yet get the most airtime to bitch about President Barack Obama.

On September 11, 2012, a terrorist attack occurred. Four Americans including U.S. ambassador Chris Stevens were killed by an extremist group with ties to al-Qaeda.

Under the cover of an online video mocking the Prophet Mohammad, extremists managed to sneak into the consulate and use rocket propelled grenades to attack.

This incident happened in the middle of the U.S. presidential election. Perennial loser Mitt Romney wanted to make a case for chest beating and got his ass handed to him by the media. It got him looking like a trigger happy buffoon.

Since the incident, Republicans continue to waste taxpayer money to find answers to a tragedy they've concluded.

Man I wish they were like this 12 years ago when the worst tragedy on American soil happened?

I kind of wish they cover all embassy attacks and find ways to prevent these incidents from happening again.

Wow, wondering how they would feel if they leak the names of a CIA agent in the middle of a clandestine mission?

Demoted!

That Guy Who Helped Obama Win gets demoted.

That Guy Who Helped Obama Win gets demoted from his timeslot and fired from his longtime distributor.

Cumulus Radio was getting tired of the two most listened to conservative agitators. They were bringing the stock down. And things had to get done. King Hippo is the number one agitator on talk radio. The second most listened is That Guy Who Helped Obama Win.

Cumulus Radio worked out an agreement with Premiere Radio Networks. They will keep Chalk E. Becker and King Hippo on their stations. But That Guy Who Helped Obama Win is gone. In his place comes the controversial Islamophobe Savage Weiner.
Cumulus hired this controversial figure to replace That Guy Who Helped Obama Win.
Nowadays, you hear little more than his right wing carnival of bigots and idiots.

He put on that turd Dick Morris. That foolish pollster claimed that President Barack Obama would lose in a landslide. It didn't happen and people started tuning him out.

Earlier this year, I've predicted that Rachel Maddow rises and he falls.

I was so right.

Looks like Megyn The Ambulance Chaser will take the 9pm spot. The spot That Guy held onto since he's been on Loserville.

Loserville started in October 1997.

Savage Weiner is laughing at That Guy for getting the pinkslip from his flaghip and demoted from his TV spot.

Listen with discretion, he is extremely controversial.

GOP: CNN And NBC Better Pull Pro-Hillary Bio Or Else!

Or else what?

They're not going to participate in the 2015 - 2016 Republican presidential debates. Why?

There's a possibility the networks are running a pro-Hillary Clinton biography.

You know what, CNN and NBC should say "FUCK YOU AND YOUR THREATS".

We have the freedom of the press, and if we want to run this, we gonna run this! You ban us, fine! But guess what? Your candidates will suffer, not us!

The junk food media is getting tired of being labeled "liberal" by these boneheaded assholes in the Republican Party and those in the conservative media.

It isn't CNN's fault for all the crazy shit that Congressman Steve King (R-Iowa) says!

It isn't NBC's fault for the racist emails, sexist or anti-gay statements from those in the Republican Party!

Their job is to report the news, entertain the viewer and inform the public of a natural disaster.

A public relations disaster with Republican Party's threats to CNN and NBC. Reince Priebus warns junk food media to stop aiding and abetting Hillary Clinton!

Reince Priebus, the leader of the Republican National Committee has put on his big boy pants and threatening to not participate. Of course, I thought he was the guy who was going to make the Republican Party a colorful rainbow!

The Republican Party is WHITE like cocaine. 90% WHITE and 10% everything else. They're getting a buzz on their own supply!

This boycott on the pro-Hillary biographies

It means that Loserville will be the only one to cover the Republican debates. Fine.

Party insiders long complained about the debates. There were 20 debates. They want to reduce the number of debates to at least 13 so they can at least get rid of the second-tier candidates.

Loserville is your research and political firm. You fucktards know Loserville is actually the Republican News Channel.

You fucktards in the Republican Party have already isolated yourselves with the Black and Hispanic voters.

What more damage could the party do?

CNN and NBC ain't worried about Priebus' cheap threats. Here's the letter that was sent to the networks.

RNC Letter To NBC

RNC Letter To CNN

How dumb could this man be?

He's spending the Republican Party's money fast and yet still has a job! He didn't help Republicans win the presidential election. He didn't help Republicans win the U.S. Senate. One state went to a Republican. And yet still have a job.

When they picked former Maryland lieutenant governor Michael Steele as their party's leader. He was the first Black man to lead the national party. But that made the party uncomfortable. When the man blew money they were grumbling about that NIGGER.

Steele was a buffoon but managed to help the Republicans win back the House of Representatives and state/territorial governorships. He was abruptly fired after the elections.

Priebus and Steele have often clashed over the direction of the party. Steele now contributes to Obama News (MSNBC).
In 2013, Hillary Clinton, then Secretary of State was getting grilled by Republicans over the Benghazi scandal.

The Huffington Post reports that this threat is another line of preemptive attacks aimed at Hillary Clinton.

Between the two letters, Priebus' concerns to NBC were more direct. The network "damaged" its credibility through the partisan MSNBC, he said. Priebus also complained that executives and employees of Comcast, NBC's parent company, have been "generous supporters" of Democrats and Clinton, and have raised money for them in the past.

A.J. Spiker, head of the Iowa GOP, said the state party would also refuse to partner with CNN and NBC for the Iowa primary debate, considered to be one of the more significant of the season, if the networks go forward with their Clinton programming. Nevada also joined Iowa, among other state party organizations, in signing on to the ultimatum from the national party.

The RNC has launched prior preemptive attacks on Clinton's nascent candidacy. In May, the group released an ad centered on Clinton and the State Department's response to the 2012 terrorist attack on a U.S. compound in Benghazi.

Clinton, widely considered a frontrunner for the Democratic ticket in 2016, was also a major point of discussion at the RNC's spring meeting in April, at which Republicans reportedly began planning early for the next presidential race.

Social Hill!

Joining Twitter, the former First Lady is teasing the junk food media with talk about a run for president. Since leaving the Washington scene, Hillary Clinton has maintained high approval among the Democratic faithful.

The woman who done everything made one new achievement. The former of many is now an official Twitter user. Hillary Rodham Clinton, you may have heard of her.

Since joining the social network, she obtained over 350,000 followers and growing.

Clinton describes herself as a wife, mom, lawyer, women & kids advocate, FLOAR, FLOTUS, US Senator, SecState, author, dog owner, hair icon, pantsuit aficionado, glass ceiling cracker, TBD...

After all she is the wife of 43rd president Bill Clinton. She was the First Lady of the United States, a former New York U.S. Senator, a former Democratic candidate for president, and former U.S. State Secretary under President Barack Obama.

Being a mother, a devoted wife during her husband's affair, and an outspoken independent woman, Clinton became the voice of the working woman.

In the struggles and success, Mrs. Clinton face political foes from the right and left.

Republicans loathe her just as much as her husband, Bill.

The Clintons were a target of harsh criticism during the 1990s.

The talk of Hillary Clinton running for higher office came around the time she became a U.S. Senator. During that time, a little unknown Illinois state senator was running for the U.S. Senate.

The historical race between her and Barack Obama tore a lot of Democrats. Some Democrats hated Obama because they've perceived him as inexperienced and were uncomfortable with his race. They went on to become Republicans and Tea Party activists.

Hillary Clinton ran a unsuccessful run for president. She eventually conceded the race and endorsed Obama.

The rift was mended when Barack Obama became the president defeating perennial candidate John McCain, the U.S. Senator from Arizona and Republican presidential nominee. Obama picked Clinton as his Secretary of State.

At the time, while President Barack Obama was sliding downward in polls, Clinton was rising. Her job approval post elected office was at an all-time high.

The word TBD means to be determined.

The talk of Hillary Clinton running for president is still relevant among the junk food media.

Republicans were hoping to taint the potential for her perennial quest at becoming the first woman ever to be the president. This constant drumbeat of Benghazi will continue to be an issue with Clinton because it was under her watch an attack happened at the Libyan consulate in which four Americans were killed.
Buzzfeed tracks the progress of Clinton's social network count.
Although the facts stated that terrorism was involved, many Republicans continue to deny that the playing of an anti-Islamic film was spread around the social networks. That erupted in massive protests in  Egypt, Tunisia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Morocco, and eventually Libya.

Terrorist managed to get a hold of firearms and explosives. They were tipped off by Libyan workers at the consulate where CIA operatives were and they've proceeded to attack.

Now this is still an controversial issue and the classified information to what happen hasn't made it to public knowledge. All the Republicans have are the talking points and the theory that President Barack Obama and then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton "allowed" Americans to die because of the U.S. Elections.

Of course, that didn't help perennial loser Mitt Romney win the presidency. And now we're in the middle of the year, and the Republicans are still harping on Benghazi along with the IRS and NSA scandals.

Somehow they'll end up overplaying their hand. Because all the belly ringing over Hillary Clinton the possibility of her running in 2016 is getting louder. She will be the oldest woman to ever run for higher office.

If she would declare an intent run in 2015, she would be 68 years old.

Anyway, there's no serious candidate so far.

Senator Rand Paul (R-Kentucky), Senator Marco Rubio (R-Florida), Rick Santorum, Donald Trump, Sarah Palin, are often floated as potential candidates. But I have my doubts they're even thinking about it. They know the risk since they're the ones who are screaming the loudest. They don't want the responsibility.

The Democrats are even more weaker than I've expected. There's talk about New York governor Andrew Cuomo, Maryland governor Martin O'Malley, Newark mayor Cory Booker, San Antonio mayor Julian Castro and Vice President Joe Biden. I don't see the buzz in these candidates.

But if Clinton and Biden do run, they'll be older than Ronald Reagan when he ran for president.

Summer Ale!

Bad news overshadows the good news.

The jobs report is out and yes the economy continues to be the number one issue. These ridiculous scandals that conservatives and liberals are debating over aren't helpful to President Barack Obama. In order to keep themselves relevant in the news, we're covering the scandals with the IRS, Benghazi, and now the NSA looking into the records of our phones.

Let me repeat myself: If I am not committing a crime or threatening a politico, then I have nothing to worry about! Besides who am I to judge the president?

That stuff doesn't bother me at all. It bothers me that all these White extremists from both political aspects are tearing each other up and trying to take the president down with these ridiculous 20th Century themes.

Orwellian? Talk about 20th Century.

Anyway, the unemployment rate is 7.6%.

The country added 175,000 jobs and the job rate increased from 7.5 percent to 7.6.

The increase occurred because more people began looking for work, a healthy sign. About three-quarters found jobs. The rest added to the ranks of the unemployed.

The government revised the job figures for the previous two months. April's gains were lowered to 149,000 from 165,000. March's figure was increased slightly to 142,000 from 138,000. The net loss was 12,000 jobs.

Investors reacted positively in the first minutes after the report was released at 8:30 a.m. Eastern time. Stock index futures rose.

Employers have added an average of 155,000 jobs in past three months, below the average of 237,000 created from November through February.

The less-than-robust job growth might lead the Federal Reserve to maintain the pace of its monthly bond purchases. The Fed has said it will keep buying bonds at the same rate until the job market improves substantially. The purchases have helped drive down interest rates and boost stock prices.

Stock markets have gyrated in the past two weeks on speculation that the Fed will slow its bond purchases later this year, a step that could increase interest rates and cause stock prices to fall.

The economy "is creating jobs at a reasonable rate," Chris Williamson, chief economist with the financial research firm Markit, said in a note to clients. But he said the Fed will want to see lower unemployment before it considers scaling back its $85 billion-a-month bond-buying program.

Job growth has been steady this year, despite higher taxes and federal spending cuts. Still, some signs in the report suggested that the spending cuts and weaker global growth are weighing on the job market.

Manufacturers cut 8,000 jobs, and the federal government shed 14,000. Both were the third straight month of cuts for those industries.

Average hourly wages ticked up just a penny in May, to $23.89. That was because much of the job growth was in lower-paying industries.

But mild inflation is boosting American's purchasing power. Over the past 12 months, hourly wages have risen 2 percent. Inflation has increased just 1.1 percent in that time.

The economy grew at a solid annual rate of 2.4 percent in the first three months of the year. Consumer spending rose at the fastest pace in more than two years. But economists worry that the steep government spending cuts and higher Social Security taxes might be slowing growth in the April-June quarter to an annual rate of 2 percent or less.

Consumers appeared earlier this year to shrug off the tax increase. But in April, their income failed to grow, and they cut back on spending for the first time in nearly a year. A Social Security tax increase is costing a typical household that earns $50,000 about $1,000 this year. For a household with two high-earners, it's costing up to $4,500.

Cuts in defense spending might have slowed factory output in some areas, according to a Fed report released this week. Factory activity shrank in May for the first time since November, and manufacturers barely added jobs, according to a survey by the Institute for Supply Management.

A separate ISM survey found that service companies grew at a faster pace last month but added few jobs. Service firms have been the main source of job growth in recent months.

Some positive signs of the economy's resilience have emerged. Service companies reported an increase in new orders, the ISM found. That suggests that businesses could expand further in coming months.

And steady gains in home sales and construction are providing support for the economy even as manufacturing weakens.

Andrea Tantaros: The Media Ignores Benghazi For Military Sexual Assaults!

Pretty stupid.

She's a very attractive woman. But I bet this stupid woman Google herself once in awhile to check on who's gonna call her out on her pathetic nonsense. This young conservative agitator who once said that she'll go on a "diet if more Americans go on food stamps" puts herself in the spotlight once again for two of the most stupidest things.

I've ignored this bullshit for way too long. I want to go ahead and knock this silly agitator down a notch.

The first thing we want to say about Loserville commentator Andrea Tantaros is that she's not the brightest bulb in the room. She would be the type of young woman who you would meet a bar. She's look attractive, sounds nice! But as soon as she opens her mouth, you're immediately running for the hills! The crap she says on television, radio or even in the general public is a problem. She says things that would completely turn a man off.

How could a smart woman like this be so stupid?

Is it the fact that Loserville requires its talent to "dumb down" its audience with stories that make President Barack Obama look like a villain or an idiot.

I don't know. But she is a dumb ass woman for some of the crap she says.

For one thing, if I was her, I wouldn't go around saying to the American people that you would wish that someone would knock out an Obama supporter.

Let me tell you how people and journalists are being treated these days. They are being stalked, they are being spied on. In Missouri, a news station fired an anchor who talked about the IRS shakedown. Yeah, fired. This is how corrupt the left is. And now, journalists can’t even get into the IRS offices in Ohio, where this alleged scandal started, without an armed guard. This is what is happening to our press.

This is Obama’s America. It’s like the Soviet Union. He said he’d change the country. He said it. He said it. He said it. And a lot of people voted for him. And if you see any of those people today, punch them in the face.

A few weeks ago, Tantaros was screaming out the microphone of her radio show that she would love see the walls collapse on the Obama administration. The constant drumbeat of Benghazi, the IRS and the Justice Department snooping on their supporter and the Associated Press has taken a toll on President Barack Obama and Congress.

Congress has a single digit job approval and the president is under 50%.

It's always this type of behavior that could inspire a domestic attack from an extremist. The conservatives would claim they're not responsible for the hate crime against a person. They're not responsible for the mass shootings in a suburban community.

Now the Raw Story and Media Matters for America caught this idiot is complaining about how the competitor talking about another serious scandal overshadowing the drumbeat of Benghazi and the IRS.

Loserville and that Third News Network covered the least amount of time devoted to military assaults.

What is a very serious issue in the military is coming to head. The rise of military sexual assaults are becoming a stranglehold of our nation's defense. The rise is due to leadership neglecting or deliberately ignoring the pleas of women and men who were sexually assaulted.

Senator Kristen Gillibrand (D-New York), Senator Barbara Boxer (D-California), Senator Claire McCaskill (D-Missouri) and Congresswoman Jackie Speier (D-California) are very upfront about this situation. They demand that action must be done in order to ensure the safety of all serving in uniform.

Conservatives aren't worried about this. They think the Democrats hate the military. If the Democrats hate the military so much, why would they care about the safety of those in uniform?

They should just allow military officers continue to molested lower ranks because they've have power.

Here's a rundown of the agitator's comments about MSNBC, the liberal channel known in my opinion as Obama News. The conservative agitator runs her mouth off.

“What are they the place for breaking? Breaking wind? Breaking what? I mean, what are they doing over there? Sex crimes in the military, they are a real issue. There’s no doubt about that. I’m not going to just poo-poo it. What baffles me, though, is the way they prioritize these issues, the timing and tone of this.”

“Why is MSNBC devoting time to this issue?”

“There are so many other issues to deal with.”

“And MSNBC has been on this sexual assaults in the military, like, basically all afternoon, every day for weeks. They’re devoting, like, and inordinate amount of time to this. They’re obsessed with it, because that’s what they see when they look at the military.”

“Yeah, you’re right. I mean, it’s the way that they prioritize these things. It’s unbelievable what they consider to be priorities. And by ‘them,’ I mean the administration and MSNBC because they are the same thing. MSNBC is an arm of the administration.”

Seriously this is how Loserville operates. They don't see the problem.

Seriously if we are to trust the junk food media, why don't they actually report the news?

The media doesn't see the problem unless its for the ratings or shock value. Trust me, it's all about dollars.

Tantaros is the co-host of The Five a show that features a slew of conservative agitators. It also includes  former Bush presser Dana Perino, washed up politico Bob Beckel, shady lawyer Kimberly Guilfoyle, hackmedian/libertarian Greg Gutfield, and wannabe That Guy Who Helped Obama Win guy Eric Bolling.

Obama Picks Susan Rice As National Security Adviser!

President Barack Obama picks UN ambassador Susan Rice as his National Security Adviser.  This pick is a retaliation to the Republicans for their refusal to look into Rice as a Secretary of State. The pick went to John Kerry. The president warns Republicans not to filibuster his picks.

The Republicans will crow about President Barack Obama's pick for National Security Adviser.

The United Nations ambassador Susan Rice will be nominated to fill the position of National Security Adviser. This decision will bring the Republican senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham back into the spotlight. McCain (R-Arizona) and Graham (R-South Carolina) are two of the gadflies who will whine about it.

The president can pick someone who can be an adviser without the approval of the U.S. Senate.

The conservatives will be totally pissed that the president thumb his nose at the Republicans by picking a woman who went to five Sunday talk shows to defend the president's handling in Benghazi.

The Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs, commonly referred to as the National Security Advisor (abbreviated NSA, or sometimes APNSA or ANSA to avoid confusion with the abbreviation of the National Security Agency), is a senior official in the Executive Office of the President who serves as the chief advisor, stationed in the White House, to the President of the United States on national security issues. This person also participates in the meetings of the National Security Council. The National Security Advisor's office is located in the West Wing of the White House. He or she is supported by the National Security Council staff that produces research, briefings, and intelligence for the APNSA to review and present either to the National Security Council or directly to the President.

The Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs is appointed by the President without confirmation by the United States Senate. However, the APNSA is a staff position in the Executive Office of the President and does not have line authority over either the Department of State or the Department of Defense, but is able, as a consequence thereof, to offer advice to the President - unlike the Secretary of State and the Secretary of Defense who are Senate-confirmed officials with line authority over their departments - independently of the vested interests of the large bureaucracies and clientele of those departments.

She will replace Tom Donilon. Donilon will step down by the end of the month.

College Republicans: Stop F***ing Up!

Young minds are wasted on the stupidity.

We here at Journal de la Reyna are sending our condolences to the family of Senator Frank Laterberg (D-New Jersey). The longtime senator died of pneumonia. The Republican governor Chris Christie will make a risky pick to replace him. This pick will join the U.S. Senate with a bunch of hyper partisans.

Many young Republicans are telling the Tea Party and the old guard to stop fucking up the party or they'll become Democrats. It's unfortunate that the next generation of the Republicans are fearing that the party is doomed if they don't include a broad coalition of groups.

Conservatives are getting a finger wagging from the Republican youth.

Even Kid Rock, a mainstream entertainer and proud Republican couldn't pull any strings at the polls.

The Republican Party didn't pull in the youth vote. The youth vote (or better known as the 18 - 34 age group) are the current crop of individuals who worry about issues such as jobs, social issues, and student loans.

The Republican Party didn't put a message out there to make young voters support perennial loser Mitt Romney. Even though there were some young Republicans willing to make Mitt their president, it was the incumbent Barack Obama who kept the youth vote in his corner. Even though the youth vote was kind of wary about the last election, President Barack Obama's arsenal of social networks and community outreach helped get the youth out to vote.

The Republicans tried to stop early voting. They wanted to pass legislation that requires individuals to state identification to vote. They failed at stopping the youth vote.

Now that President Barack Obama secured four more years, the devastating blows to the Republican Party are being felt. Many Republican establishment figures finally are realizing that their party caters to old White bigots.

Even the constant talk of the IRS and Benghazi scandals aren't working to improve the image of the Republican Party. The college Republicans don't care about this crap.

On Monday, the College Republican National Committee unveiled a data-heavy, 95-page report that examines how (and why) Republicans can make inroads with young voters.

Among voters under 30—who made up 19 percent of all voters in the November 2012 general election—President Barack Obama received 5 million more votes than Republican nominee Mitt Romney. Despite the gap, the CRNC believes there are ways to bring young people back into the GOP fold.

"[T]he Republican Party has won the youth vote before and absolutely can win it again," the report said, pointing to Ronald Reagan winning 59 percent of the youth vote in 1984 and substantial support from young voters for Georgw W. Bush in 2000. "But this will not occur without significant work to repair the damage done to the Republican brand among this age group over the last decade."
This guy is making the Republican Party look bad.
The analysis, co-authored by CRNC principals Alex Schriver and Michael Antonopoulos and polling from the Winston Group, emphasized three areas where Republicans must focus: technology, policy and branding.

Much of the data in the report is based on focus groups conducted in California, Ohio and Florida in January and polls of registered voters age 18-29 conducted in the spring.

The new report is part of a wider Republican effort since last year's presidential election to find solutions that can help the party win in the future. In March, the Republican National Committee unveiled its "Growth and Opportunity Project" report, the product of intense polling and accounting of where the GOP went wrong in 2012 and what it can do better in upcoming contests.

Here are seven pieces of advice for how Republicans can better reach young people.

1. Winning young people and minority voters goes hand in hand

The CRNC report says that the challenges Republicans face with the youth vote and the minority vote are "inseparable." As the younger population grows more diverse, the GOP's lack of support among the age group will only grow worse.

"It could be said that the GOP’s young voter problem is as much about failing to gain support from the

African American and Latino communities as anything else," the authors write. "With non-white voters making up 42% of voters under the age of 30, the issue of party diversity and the party’s success with the youth vote are absolutely inseparable."

The key, the authors conclude, is to tie messages of "economic opportunity and social mobility" to as many issues as possible.

2. Republicans who oppose gay marriage need to be careful how they discuss it—if at all

"[T]he conventional wisdom is right," the study's authors write in a section on how Republicans should approach marriage policy for gay and lesbian couples. "Young people are unlikely to view homosexuality as morally wrong, and they lean toward legal recognition of same-sex relationships."

The group's survey found that 44 percent of young voters support gay marriage and 26 percent say it should be left up to the states to decide. Thirty percent of responders said marriage should be between a man and a woman.

After conducting the focus groups, the authors concluded that it is "unmistakable" that "gay marriage was a reason many of these young voters disliked the GOP."

With the culture shifting away from the party's policies, here's what they recommend:

The best course of action for the party may be to promote the diversity of opinion on the issue within its ranks. (After all, for quite some time, former vice president Dick Cheney was to the left of President Obama on same-sex marriage) and to focus on acceptance and support for gay people as separate from the definition of marriage. Where the Republican Party will run into the most trouble over this issue is when it is not winning on any of the more prominent issues, either – the economy and spending. If a candidate is compelling enough on economic opportunity and spending, they may well be able to overcome a difference of opinion with young voters on same-sex marriage.

The authors conclude: "On the 'open-minded' issue, yes, we will face serious difficulty so long as the issue of gay marriage remains on the table. In the short term, the party ought to promote the diversity of thought within its ranks and make clear that we welcome healthy debate on the policy topic at hand. We should also strongly oppose the use of anti-gay rhetoric."

3. Republicans should focus more on a positive message and move away from being 'The Party of No'

A social media analysis in the report found that "positive" messages are often shared more on social media platforms. Adopting and spreading proactive ideas—as opposed to just challenging and nay-saying the opposition—will help spread the Republican message on mediums like Facebook and Twitter, the report found.

The tactic isn't just for getting "likes" and "shares." It's also a fundamental messaging strategy that

Republicans need to use to convince young voters that Republicans have an agenda that supports them.

"Young voters simply felt the GOP had nothing to offer, and therefore said they trusted the Democratic Party more than the Republican Party on every issue tested," the report authors write.

4. The debate over Obamacare is a good example of how Republicans can improve positive messaging

The report authors recommend ways Republicans can discuss the federal health care law while it is being implemented over the next two years:

As Obamacare is implemented and headlines continue to tell the tale of increasing costs and new problems with the health care system, it will be important for Republicans to outline a vision for how they would build a better system that does contain costs and improve quality. For the moment, the advantage that Obama has on the issue is largely due to the fact that he attempted a reform plan at all.

5. Candidates must be in touch with issues young people care about, including pop culture

You don't have to be "young" to carry a message that speaks to young people. Just look at Ron Paul! But you do have to be able to speak using terms that resonate with a younger generation. The report found that even though elected Republican leaders are generally younger than Democrats, millennials still think of Republicans as old. Perhaps it is because Democrats do a better job of speaking the language of young people.

From the report:

[I]t helps to be somewhat in touch with pop culture. Some 30% of respondents said that they would be more likely to vote for a candidate who can talk comfortably about music, movies, and sports, while only 21% said that they would be more likely to vote for a candidate who is under the age of 40. Young voters are far more concerned about finding candidates who understand what they are going through and have solutions to address the problems they are facing; whether that comes from a 60-year-old or a 30-year-old is not quite as important. (After the 2010 elections, House Republicans’ average age fell to under 55, while the average age of a Democratic member of the House rose to over 60. This did not stop “old” from being mentioned in almost every focus group as an attribute associated with the GOP.) However, youth and knowledge of pop culture may not even necessarily be a boost.
Reince Priebus can't get the Republican Party back together. The message is lost in King Hippo's daily rants.
6. Advertise in mediums used by young people

Candidates should think outside the realms of traditional campaign strategies. They should bring their message to the places where young people gather, including popular television shows and online:

We don’t expect candidates to throw back shots with college kids, but it wouldn’t hurt to have them target ads at the people who watch re-runs of Family Guy. Young people do not get their information the way voters used to. They carry smartphones in their pockets and purses that allow them to connect with anyone, anytime, anywhere, and that give them instant access to any piece of information they may want to know.

There are countless ways they can watch the latest episode of their favorite TV show, and the screens where they’re focusing their eyes all day are more and more likely to be portable. To win young voters, the Republican Party and its candidates must embrace this reality.

7. Show young voters what you can offer

The authors sum it all up pretty well here:

Kid Rock shakes hands with perennial loser Mitt Romney.
We’ve become the party that will pat you on your back when you make it, but won’t offer a hand to help you get there. This has to change in order to have a shot with young voters.

Will the Republicans heed the warnings?

Not really. The Tea Party will dismissed this as another attempt to bring "political correctness" and the people who are complaining are "Republicans In Name Only (RINO)".

Former Maine senator Olympia Snowe, Former Indiana senator Richard Lugar, Senator John McCain (R-Arizona), Senator Rob Portman (R-Ohio), Senator Susan Collins (R-Maine), Senator Mark Kirk (R-Illinois), Senator Dan Coates (R-Indiana) are the moderate members of the Republicans Party.

They were targeted by conservatives as "liberals" because they're willing to work with the president on serious issues.

Republicans are screwed up. They'll never get it. They'll continue to fail. And we'll be watching it from the outside.

Kid Rock appears on Atlantic Records.

Junk Food Media Defends Loserville Reporter Leaking Secrets!

Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn (R-Tennessee) and many Republican lawmakers run to the cameras calling for Attorney General Eric Holder to step down after it was revealed that he signed off warrants to investigate a Loserville reporter who took classified information and leaked to the rest of the junk food media.

Another episode of GOP Sundays. The five Sunday news programs have at least catered to Republican lawmakers, conservative commentators and issues that have nothing to do with the economy.

I don't know why they try so hard not to be perceived as liberal, but the junk food media continues on this constant drumbeat of Benghazi (this will be a label), the IRS scandal, and the Justice Department looking into people who are leaking classified information to the press. Instead of covering the poor infrastructure, the constant rise in gun violence, the dangerous weather events that destroyed communities, and of course possible conflicts overseas, the junk food media is involved in "scandals".

Months ago, we were talking about North Korea with a nuclear bomb. What happened there?

We just heard of the worst tragedy in American history. No mention of Sandy Hook.

We had the president get death threats with ricin. Two individual men from the south sent the president, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Senator Roger Wicker (R-Mississippi) deadly substances.

Since leaving Iraq, the rise of sectarian violence in the country. The United States left Iraq and the country is spiraling into another civil war. And that moron Senator John McCain (R-Arizona) wants the United States to interfere in Syria.

We seen bridges, highways and sinkholes in the country.

We had powerful snow storms, tornadoes and wildfires.

We have a rise in military sexual assaults. Over the past three months we've seen men in high positions caught doing things that are unbecoming of an officer. Sexual assaults in the military are high and the Justice Department and Defense Department are trying to curb the rise. Democratic Congresswoman Jackie Speier (D-California) is an outspoken advocate for women's rights and yet she hasn't been on any of the Sunday news shows as far as I know.

That second term curse is happening. Who would of thought the 2012 U.S. Election would continue pass the second inauguration?

Congressman Mike Rogers (R-Michigan) is a regular feature on Sunday news programs.
The Republicans has went beyond the pale to attack the president for everything. The immigration reform is not being talked about. It's on the verge of being killed by Republican obstruction.

The conservative media figures over at Loserville and some in the Republican Party are screaming for the resignation of Attorney General Eric Holder. The top cop signed off the warrants to look into turdporter James Rosen and those over at the Associated Press.

I remember last year, Republicans and the very same conservative media figures on radio and over at Loserville saying that the president deliberately leaks information about how he handles terrorism.

Now that the Justice Department is getting to the bottom of who's leaking to the press, the very same turdporters are upset over this.

Now seriously, I am all for the freedom of the press and the rule of law. Sometimes the journalists risks their lives to get the best story. We understand that. But if you're dealing with national security, you're messing with the government classified information, we have a problem.

Why would the media defend a person who would take information that may endanger CIA agents or our military?

Infrastructure Crumbling!

Did you know it cost from $100 up to $5,000 to replace a road sign?

Of course infrastructure isn't a topic in the junk food media. That's not a big issue in the junk food media say if a bridge collapse or a sinkhole swallows you up in a instant. How about a tornado ripping through a community? Ah, that's a ratings grabbing event. To see American families cry on national television about their lives being ruined by an event that could have been prevented.

Seriously, the president's main goals are being squandered away for short-term political gains by those Republicans who continue to harp on these "scandals". The furor over Benghazi, the IRS and the Department of Justice snooping on leaking information making it to the press has the junk food media booking every Republican to complain or threaten the president with impeachment.

Keeping the finger cross on bridge safety.
We have hundreds of roads, bridges and seaways in need of serious repair. The low approved Congress isn't maintained on the job its representatives were elected to do. Their job is pass legislation for the better of all. Not a chosen few, but a majority of us all.

That's why it was better days during the Democrats control of the Congress. They sucked, but at least they've managed to do things that most Republicans refused to do. All Republicans want is to get back in power so they can push forth these bills that may hurt the middle class. They may end up throwing around impeachment hearings if they should have full control the Congress.

You notice that Republicans are willing to pass infrastructure bills only if they can throw in a repeal of Obamacare, that stupid Keystone XL pipeline and getting rid of the IRS. Things that they know the president isn't going to do. But yet, they're willing to do it for the sake of their rich corporate donors who pour millions into their competitive races.

With America's roads and bridges collapsing, who's left to pick up the tab. Mainly local leaders and you the taxpayer.

Wonder why there's always a tax levy on the ballot?

It's for repairs to schools, roads, services that cater to community needs and transportation for those who have no car.
Many American and Canadian cities use the flashing yellow arrow turn signal as a way to reduce bottleneck left turns.
Many conservatives reject levies and ballot issues because it infringes on their tranquility. Say if you live in a suburban community a few miles from the city. The suburb has a hospital, a shopping center, a college campus and industrial lot. A ballot measure for the election says that public transportation is required for shopping and work.

I bet you that the suburban folks (mainly conservative minded individuals) will turn out in droves to prevent bus service to their communities. Say I have an area that's kind of like that.

Okay, we have nine bridges in the area and six of them are considered too dangerous for travel. Usually a representative from the area request funds for repair and replacement. Let's say if you have a Tea Party endorsed Republican member of the Congress refuse to take a dime to repair the bridge. He claims that's an earmark. Maybe he's right on that. But say if a heavy vehicle happens to cross a structurally unsound bridge and falls into the river or lake. Then we'll have a tragedy right?

Yeah, transportation bills have earmarks in it. It's common among many legislators to bring some point of interest to their hometowns. Usually the bridge will have redesigns and landscaping (say if it had a special fountain located near the bridge and a playground near a park).

The Republican will not support it. That's probably why they've crowed over the Stimulus. The American Reinvestment and Recovery Act was designed to help jumpstart the economy.

Many Republicans claim that it was a disaster waiting to happen. Yet, they've taken a portion of that money to fix things in their respective districts. And they still complain about it.

It's not fair for the country's woes to fall upon a bunch of politicos who sole purpose is to defeat one another.

The Congress returns Monday for a least three more weeks of talk about Benghazi, the IRS and whatever else happens to cross the conservative blogosphere. And after those three weeks pass, they're off for the Independence Day weekend.

And wait til August when the low-approved Congress is off. They'll be off until mid-September.

Hot dog! More time spent outside of their offices doing what they do best. Not representing the people who put their asses there in the first place.

GOP: Understaffed Federal Workers! Good!

The IRS scandal, the Benghazi scandal and the Department of Justice trying to silence classified leaks are being hyped up by the Republican Party and its allies in the conservative movement.

Would you expect the lack of federal services due to the sequester are probably a reason to why these controversies happened?

No.

Well here's a shocker for you! Many federal appointments weren't confirmed during the first term of President Barack Obama. And today it continues because of the Republican senate's abuse of power on the filibuster.

As we celebrate Memorial Day, our federal workers who serve the needs of the United States government will lose a portion of their pay. While our lawmakers are taking another vacation, they leave the Capitol with many bills undone and lack of corporation between the two opposing parties. They are leaving from the very jobs we the American people voted them in for.

The sequester's effects on the federal government are starting to show and our the low approved Congress failed to stop it.

With the tornado destroying much of Moore, Oklahoma, many Americans are relying on FEMA. The Federal Emergency Management Agency is going to face stiff cutbacks come this summer. With a possible strong hurricane season, many FEMA and National Weather Service workers will be furloughed for a few days as well as the "scourge of the junk food media", the IRS will be affected.

The U.S. Postal Service is asking Congress to save the mail service by eliminating Saturday. Congress turned a blind eye.

Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood is leaving soon. But he gave the strong warning about the nation's crumbling infrastructure. We seen two bridges collapsed, a devastated city in Oklahoma, a rail line destroyed and many construction on highways grounded to a halt because of Congress.

So if we're to cut government in the ways of Senator Rand Paul (R-Kentucky), Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Senator Tom Coburn (R-Oklahoma) to save this nation, then we're doomed!

The Republicans are screwing up this nation by stalling the president's agenda. The president won the election, and the mandate was set. The junk food media obsesses over Benghazi, the IRS or whatever else the Senators John McCain (R-Arizona) or Lindsey Graham's (R-South Carolina) whine about.

I will kindly stress that the real problem here in the United States. Demographics.

As the nation grows, so is our non-white population. President Barack Obama overwhelmingly won almost every demographic but the White working class.

The Republicans are going to end up the all White party.
Lawmakers off to another vacation. When they come back, there will be more talk about Benghazi, the IRS and repealing Obamacare. Of course, slight mentions of tornado relief, bridge repair and looming sequester cuts.
To piss off a government worker is one thing, but to allow lawmakers take vacations, work 132 days out of a year, and pass laws that may effect the nation as a whole. I just can't wait to see them rush to the ballot box to remove those politicos from Washington.

Republicans led us to the Great Recession. They won't get it through their manure filled heads that the key to growth is spending. We need to spend on infrastructure and innovation. We can't cut while the economy is rebounding.

But since this is the Black man talking to you, I guess you're not comfortable with it.

GOP Sundays!

If the Sunday news programs would talk about military sexual assaults, crumbling infrastructure, the budget deficit and unemployment decreasing, they would force Republicans to drop their obsessions with repealing Obamacare, the Benghazi consulate attack, the IRS probing scandal and the Justice Department's phone records scandal.

Why is that the Republican legislators, conservative agitators and policy wonks featured on the Sunday news programs?

Shouldn't these bible thumpers be in church?

I always assumed they thought those hippie Democrats would be spending their days on Sundays smoking a bong or something?

For the most part, I've seen more visuals of Congressman John Boehner (R-Ohio, House Speaker) Congressman Paul Ryan (R-Wisconsin, former vice presidential nominee), Senator Rand Paul (R-Kentucky), Senator Lindsay Graham (R-South Carolina), Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Senator John McCain (R-Arizona), Congressman Tom Cotton (R-Akansas), Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (R-Minnesota), Senator Marco Rubio (R-Florida), and Congressman Darrell Issa (R-California) on the television rambling on and on about President Barack Obama.

I am tired of these constant appearances by these annoying legislators. They are driving the Republican Party right into the toilet along with the rest of the turds.

It's like Democratic lawmakers are on whenever they're defending the president or sulking over a legislative defeat.

The Republicans get 3:1 airtime when there's a controversy. I mean how many times have I've heard Benghazi or Watergate from one of these Republican politicos?

How many times have I heard from Republicans stating that the president is "covering up" and this is "impeachable"?

How many times have I heard from those agitators on the radio and over at Loserville say that the president is a 20th Century fear theme?

Republicans are overreaching. The very mention of impeachment over issues such as those are an example of the bitterness they have against the president. That's probably why their sacrificial lamb was sent back to La Jolla, California with his dancing horses.

The Republican Party may energize the conservative/white supremacist base with these short term distractions, but will this backfire?

I see the very same theme over and over again!

Like a dog with a bone in its mouth, the Republicans can't let this bone go!

The president's grassroots campaign is active daily. The Republicans forgotten they shouldn't reckoned with a community organizer. Clearly, the president will have to campaign throughout his second term to beat back the onslaught of ignorance and deception by the Republican Party.

If the Republican Party would rather spent their time harping on scandals and not infrastructure, that's them!

The Sunday news programs haven't brought up issues such as the Democratic Party's push for jobs, tax reform, unemployment numbers decreasing, the budget deficit decrease, the healthcare reform law and military rapes.

The continuous shootings in America, the delays at airports, the crumbling of train tracks, bridges, sinkholes on highways, and the continuous reports of military ineptness (due to sexual assaults) are huge problems.

But that's not ratings worthy or newsworthy. Unless a tragedy unfolds.

We here at Journal de la Reyna send our prayers to the injured in Connecticut. There was a major train derailment that stalled a line between New York City and Boston.

The Watergate Under The Benghazi Bridge.....

Gregory Hicks testifies to the congressional hearing
It continues on. The Republicans want answers to Benghazi.

You notice that Republicans overplay their hand. They did it during the Tea Party protests in 2009. They did it while there was the Gulf Oil spill in 2010. They did it during the health care debate. They did during the Operation Fast & Furious issue in 2011. They are doing it through the continuous repeals of Obamacare in 2012. And now we're in 2013 and the very same party of obstruction continues down the path to defeat.

They're worked up over this Benghazi consulate attack and it's becoming more of a migraine instead of a real controversy. The Republicans are using the victims as props in a political sabotage of President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, then Secretary of State and floated presidential candidate.

The Republicans are never blameless but they hate it when the Democrats bring up the past.

For you see that during the previous term of George W. Bush, on September 11, 2001, our nation was attack on home soil by foreign nationals. We went into two wars. One being the War on Terror (which is the ongoing Afghanistan war). The other was based on intelligence saying the nation of Iraq was holding "weapons of mass destruction". That war was closed out in 2011 with no weapons of mass destruction being found and over 4,500 soldiers and thousands of innocent victims. This president managed to see many Americans die on home soil during the Hurricane Katrina disaster. This president allowed young men and women die at Virginia Tech. This previous administration fired lawyers, outed a CIA agent, paid columnist to speak talking points, appoint a Fox News host as a press secretary and a press secretary becomes a Fox News host. His vice president shot a man in the face. And yet, the Democrats didn't think of drafting Articles of Impeachment on a president. Scratch that there was Dennis Kucinich.

Is one to believe that "RACE" doesn't have a thing to do with all this rabble rousing from those Republicans?

The people over at Loserville are furious at the rest of the junk food media. They're so angry over the fact that no one in the junk food media cares about this Benghazi incident.

The tragedy happened on September 11, 2012 in which extremists attacked the United States Diplomatic Consulate in Benghazi, Libya. A group with ties to an extremist group stormed the compound. The chaos occurred during an outburst of reactionary outrage. The incident ended up killing four Americans.

The Islamic protests over in Iraq, Pakistan, Tunisia, Egypt and Morocco were sparked by the viewing of an anti-Islamic video. The effects happened in Libya as well. How are we to know that a video would inspire a terrorist group?

President Barack Obama was angered over this. He ordered then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to return back to the United States. The next day, he expressed outrage and determined that those involved this "act of terror" will be brought to justice.

Four of these extraordinary Americans were killed in an attack on our diplomatic post in Benghazi.  Among those killed was our Ambassador, Chris Stevens, as well as Foreign Service Officer Sean Smith. We are still notifying the families of the others who were killed.

Along with his colleagues, Chris died in a country that is still striving to emerge from the recent experience of war.

No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for.  Today we mourn four more Americans who represent the very best of the United States of America.  We will not waver in our commitment to see that justice is done for this terrible act.  And make no mistake, justice will be done.

But we also know that the lives these Americans led stand in stark contrast to those of their attackers.  These four Americans stood up for freedom and human dignity.  They should give every American great pride in the country that they served, and the hope that our flag represents to people around the globe who also yearn to live in freedom and with dignity.

We grieve with their families, but let us carry on their memory, and let us continue their work of seeking a stronger America and a better world for all of our children.

The president, Vice President Joe Biden attended the viewing of diplomats J. Christopher Stevens, Ty Woods, Sean Smith, and Glen Doherty. The president met with the families of each victim.

What started this nonsense was the White House press statement determining it to be a "spontaneous" event sparked by anti-Islamic movie and the chaos that sparked overseas.

United Nations secretary Susan Rice appears on most Sunday news programs to say the side of the story.

The perennial loser Mitt Romney tried to bait the president into this conflict. He immediately licked his chops on the news of a terrorist attack. Romney thought of potential of winning the White House on this tragedy. The conservative media figures such as that Guy Who Helped Obama Win (best known as Sean Hannity) was relentless in this. He made calls to the Romney campaign demanding the perennial loser take up this issue as well as Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers.

At the presidential debate, the perennial loser Mitt Romney got his ass handed to him. The president told him that he acknowledge the word "terror" in his Rose Garden statements. CNN anchor Candy Crowley even helped the president and Romney get in a few words.

Enter 2013, the Republicans are rehashing this stuff again. They're looking at these "whistleblowers" as the key to finding out what happened in Benghazi.

The Guardian reports that Gregory Hicks, deputy to murdered US ambassador Christopher Stevens, revealed for the first time in public a detailed account of the desperate few hours after the terrorist attacks on the US consulate in Benghazi.
Rescuers tried to save Christopher Stevens.
He also said that Stevens went to Benghazi to beat a 30 September deadline to convert the mission to a permanent posting. There was additional time pressure because Clinton planned to visit Libya later in the year and to announce the opening of the post, Hicks said.

But Hicks and two other state department witnesses also singled out the government response for criticism. Until now that criticism had been largely dismissed as a partisan effort by Republican congressman to smear former Clinton, who was secretary of state at the time.

Hicks claimed Clinton's chief of staff, Cheryl Mills, telephoned him to complain that he had given critical evidence to congressional investigators without the presence of a "minder" from the state department. "A phone call from that senior a person is generally considered not to be good news," said Hicks, who said he had since been demoted. "She was upset. She was very upset."

The career diplomat also alleged he was actively discouraged by officials from asking awkward questions about why other top Clinton aides, including the UN ambassador Susan Rice, initially blamed the attack on a spontaneous protest that got out of control. He described that briefing he described as "jaw-dropping, embarrassing and stunning". It is now thought the attacks, involving up to 60 heavily armed militia, were co-ordinates by Ansar al-Sharia, a group affiliated to al-Qaida, and timed to coincide with the 11th anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington.

The allegations of a state department cover-up follow equally embarrassing claims that military leaders blocked efforts to dispatch special forces troops to the Benghazi consulate.

In testimony that first emerged on Monday, Hicks claims that four special forces soldiers with him in Tripoli were "furious" when they were told by superiors in Washington that they could not join a relief flight to Benghazi organised by the Libyan government in the hours after the initial attack.
Trying to sabotage any potential thoughts of her running for president, the Republicans harp on Benghazi in order to put a dent in the President Obama's agenda and try to derail Hillary Clinton's potential run for president.
Mark Thompson, a former marine who heads the foreign emergency support team, also alleged that the White House blocked his efforts to dispatch a specialist group from the US that is designed to respond to incidents such as the Benghazi attack.

Hicks said he was told that US air force jets based in Italy could have reached the consulate in "two to three hours" but were blocked, out of fear of offending the Libyan government, and because a refueling tanker could not be found.

Pentagon officials have repeatedly argued that none of the available military assets could have reached Benghazi in time to prevent the death of ambassador Stevens and three other consular staff. But Hicks insisted even if they had been too late, better attempts should have been made. "People in peril in future need to know that we will go to get them," he said. "That night we needed to demonstrate that resolve even if we still had the same outcome."
While under oath, three men testify about Benghazi.
Hicks also rejected the defense given by Hillary Clinton when pressed on the initial delay in attributing the attack to terrorists, arguing the US undermined its Libyan allies who were rightly pointing to Ansar al-Sharia.

"President Magarief was insulted in front of his own people, in front of the world. His credibility was reduced. His ability to govern was [damaged]. He was angry … He was still steamed about the talk shows two weeks later. I definitely believe it negatively affected our ability to get the FBI team quickly to Benghazi."

Hicks also testified that part of the reason that Stevens was in Benghazi was to make preparations to convert the mission to a permanent post, and to lay the groundwork for a visit by Clinton. "At least one of the reasons the ambassador was in Benghazi was to further the secretary's wish that that post become a permanent constituent post" and because Clinton "intended to visit later that year" to announce the conversion.

Democrats on the committee attempted to play down the significance of the new evidence. "There is no smoking gun today," said Mark Pocan of Wisconsin. "There is not even a lukewarm slingshot." Deputy chair Elijah Cummings said the hearing would not be able to get to a full picture without recalling other military witnesses.

But the powerful and at times emotional testimony of the state department witnesses is likely to rekindle questions over the government's handling of the incident. The Obama administration had hoped that an earlier independent review panel had drawn a line under the issue.

Republicans characterize their refusal to let the Benghazi issue go as a determination to find out what went wrong. But some Democrats have suggested that the real intention is to taint both the White House and Clinton in a bid to dent her chances in 2016 should she decide to run.

Hicks described receiving the final telephone call from ambassador Stephens revealing he was under attack. He said an attach ran into his villa "yelling Greg, Greg, the consulate's under attack". Hicks looked at his phone and had two missed calls. He called back and got ambassador Stevens. "He said, 'Greg, we're under attack.'"

"I said 'OK' and the line cut."

Hicks then described how he had taken refuge in a secure villa that was set alight with petrol by the attackers. He also told how the embassy building in Benghazi was hit by mortar fire and how a tiny group of soldiers at both sites fought through the night to prevent both facilities from being overrun.

"September 11 was a routine day until we heard the news that our embassy in Cairo had been stormed and they were trying to tear down the flag," recalled Hicks.

"I had bad cellphone reception but walked to the tactical operations center and heard that our consulate in Benghazi had been breached and at least 20 armed individuals were in the compound."

After twice not recognizing the number, he said he received a short call from ambassador Stevens, thought to be his last, who said they "were under attack". He and an assistant, Sean Smith, were led to a safe area inside a villa next to the consulate by security agent Scott Strickland. It was set on fire with jerry cans of fuel shortly after 9pm.

"Scott attempted to lead them out but they didn't follow. He tried to get back in but was beaten back by the smoke," said Hicks. "Petroleum-based fires emit cyanide gas and one full breath can kill you. They managed to pull Sean out, but he was dead. They couldn't find Chris."

A second wave was coming to attack and the remaining consulate staff fell back to a nearby CIA annex. "After about an hour and a half of probing attacks from terrorists that they were able to repulse they decided to evacuate," said Hicks. They met with a response team flown from Tripoli on a Libyan C130 transporter and retreated back to the capital.

Hicks says at this point he still thought that ambassador Stevens might be alive and he received word from the Libyan government that he was being held in a hospital run by the same group responsible for the attack. "I thought we might need a hostage response team to get the ambassador out of a hospital under enemy control," explained Hicks.

At the same time the group was claiming responsibility for the Benghazi attack on Twitter, embassy staff began noticing threats against their facility in Tripoli too.

"We began planning to evacuate, and took 55 people to the annex " said Hicks. "At 2am Hillary Clinton calls and she asks me what is going on. I brief her mostly about ambassador Stevens and told her we would need to evacuate. At 3am I received a call from from the prime minister of Libya who told me that ambassador Stevens had passed away. It was the hardest call I have ever had to take."
Conservatives rally for the truth...
Hicks says he has vivid memories of communications staff in Tripoli destroying classified equipment including a female officer manager "smashing hard drives with an axe". The contingent in Benghazi then tried to drive to the airport around dawn but were hit by two mortar rounds.

"The first mortar was long and landed among the Libyans who were escorting us – they took casualties. The next was short and landed on the annex roof, killing one of our people and seriously wounding another, David. Mark charged onto the roof and strapped David, who was a large man, to his back and carried him down the ladder."

Hicks says he wanted to send further reinforcements to Benghazi where they had been fighting through the night but was unable.

Eric Nordstrom, a security officer who also gave evidence to Congress said the lessons state department employees have taken from Benghazi were scathing: "Whether you're at a mission, preparing for a hearing or you're standing on top of a building "surrounded by a mob," he says, "The message is the same: You're on your own!"

The conservative agitating media seems to have collective memory loss when it comes to how the president handles these incidents. They never figured that being the president is 24/7. They don't see that the president is ready on day one.

So to hear these individuals on talk radio and the junk food news channels talk about how the president took a vacation or show no sympathy for the victims is ridiculous. I even hear that some are throwing in the children. Once again proving that they can't leave the innocent out of the discussion.

Benghazi: A Republican/Fox News Feature!

Republicans and conservatives mount pressure on President Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton over their obsession with Benghazi.

The Republican outreach is a total failure. The outreach to win minority voters is not succeeding.

They're practically begging themselves for a defeat. If you're getting frustrated with the job of Congress, you're not alone. The low approved Congress hasn't passed major legislation since President Barack Obama was sworn in for his second term. The failure of compromise has poisoned Washington.

The Republicans are gathering their talking points from the folks over at Loserville and they're continuing a strategy that is determined to eventually backfire. The Republicans have no real strategy to win back Congress. Their only objective for the Republican majority in the House of Representatives is to draft the Articles of Impeachment over issues such as this controversy, Syria, the Boston Marathon tragedy, gun control, and the impending sequester they've supported. They're dragging Congress all the way to the bottom.

For one thing, I am not concerned about the controversy.

Let me take that back! I am concerned about it in a way that the deceased are being used a "props" for this ridiculous witch hunt. Yeah, since they want to use that term to describe those families of the Sandy Hook tragedy, I found it worthy of my time to say the same about this issue.
Attack on U.S. Consulate in Libya.
I never knew that Republicans are so quick to pinpoint a horrible tragedy. I mean weren't we all Americans on September 11, 2001?

We all stood in unison when that happened. George W. Bush managed got a huge rise in popularity during this tragedy. As far as it goes, no one should talk negative about September 11, 2001. Remember whenever someone criticized the tragedy, you would expect Republicans and conservatives screaming out of their lungs wanted someone to be punished for attacking on the dead.

This tragedy in Benghazi continues to be a political football among the kookspiracy.

The United States Consulate in Benghazi comes under attack.

It was an act of terrorism sparked by an active group of individuals who have ties to some extremist group. They've used the cover of Middle East protests to sneak into the consulate and kill four Americans.

We're not done yet! Congressman Darrell Issa (R-California).
The attack began during the night at a compound that is meant to protect the consulate building. A second assault in the early morning the next day targeted a nearby CIA annex in a different diplomatic compound. Four people were killed, including U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens. Ten others were injured. The attack was strongly condemned by the governments of Libya, the United States, and many other countries throughout the world.

The Republicans crusade to get "all the answers" to what happen continues on.

The Republicans continue to beat down a drum to obscurity with this hearing this Wednesday.

Congressman Darrell Issa (R-California), Congressman Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) are leading a panel of these  "whistle-blowers" who were there during the attack. The Republicans shut the Democrats out of the panel.

Mark Thompson and Greg Hicks are the key figures in this panel. They will try to prove the Republicans talking point that Benghazi was a "cover up" and the president allowed people to die.

The Washington Post reports that the new details are certain to reignite a debate over whether the Obama administration has been sufficiently forthcoming in its public accounting of the events and missteps that resulted in the first death of a U.S. ambassador in the line of duty in a generation. If Republicans in Congress succeed in portraying the administration’s response as feckless, the episode could dog any future political aspirations of Hillary Rodham Clinton, who was secretary of state when the attacks happened.

After the attacks ended without planes being scrambled or special forces dispatched, the lieutenant colonel in Tripoli who commanded the Special Operations team told Hicks he was sorry his men had been held back.
Four American diplomats were killed.
“I’ve never been so embarrassed in my life that a State Department officer has bigger balls than someone in the military,” the officer told Hicks, according to the diplomat’s account. Hicks called that “a nice compliment.”

Hicks may have been the last American official to speak with Stevens. After an embassy security official ran into his residence to tell him about the attack, Hicks managed to get Stevens on the phone.

“Greg, we’re under attack,” Stevens blurted out, according to Hicks. “My response is ‘Okay,’ and I’m about to say something else and the line clicks.”

The administration has said the independent review of the Benghazi attack was exhaustive, and State Department officials have vowed to implement reforms to make U.S. missions abroad safer. Republicans, however, say Hicks’s account suggests the administration has not been entirely truthful.

“The White House and the Pentagon have allowed us to believe that there were no military options on the table,”  Chaffetz said in a phone interview. “The model of the military is to leave no person behind, and it’s stunning and unacceptable to think we had military willing and ready to go and the Pentagon told them to stand down. That’s just not the American way.”
Combative debate over Benghazi
Chaffetz said the troops who were not allowed to travel to Benghazi would have arrived after the attack on the CIA base but may have provided first aid to wounded personnel. He noted that the order to keep them from traveling was given before the second attack.

A Pentagon spokesman said he would review the Hicks testimony. State Department spokesman Patrick Ventrell told reporters that the Republican-led inquiry appears to be politicized, saying it was “not a collaborative process.”

He said, however, that the State Department is not seeking to suppress the accounts of whistleblowers. “We have always encouraged any State Department employee who wants to share their story and tell the truth,” he said.

Part of the Benghazi debate has focused on whether prompt action might have saved lives. In the initial attack, militants overran the compound where Stevens was staying and he and another State Department officer, Sean Smith, were killed. Others made their way to a nearby annex used by the CIA, where two Americans, former Navy SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty, died in an attack several hours later.

Hicks, a veteran foreign service officer who is scheduled to testify before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on Wednesday, told congressional staffers that he and others in Libya thought that flying U.S. military jets over Benghazi during the early hours of the attack could have had a deterrent effect.

“If we had been able to scramble a fighter or aircraft or two over Benghazi as quickly as possible after the attack commenced, I believe there would not have been a mortar attack on the [CIA] annex in the morning, because I believe the Libyans would have split,” Hicks said. “They would have been scared to death that we would have gotten a laser on them and killed them.”

Hicks said that late on the night of Sept. 11 he called the embassy’s defense attache, Lt. Col. Keith Phillips, and asked about the viability of sending jets.

“Is there anything coming?” he said he asked.

Phillips told Hicks that the nearest planes were at Aviano Air Base in Italy and that it would take two to three hours to get them off the ground, the diplomat told congressional staffers. There also were no aircraft nearby that could have refueled airborne planes.

“The answer was, it’s too far away, there are no tankers, there is nothing, there is nothing that could respond,” he said.
