Kookspiracy Nut Alex Jones Carrying Joan Rivers' Bags!

That boneheaded kookspiracy nut got his nerve. I bet somewhere in that bunker, that asshole probably slept with a dozen of women who happen to be carrying more than firearm. He's probably a pickle sucker anyway.

Crazy Jones loves to agitate the nuts around him. Visiting Infowars and PrisonPlanet obligates a white extremist the notion of a government kookspiracy. From the New World Order, FEMA Death Camps, those  Ron (or Rand) Paul presidential wet dreams, the Bohemian Grove Men's club and the Bilderburg Group are frequently mentioned there.

Of course, the president's birth certificate or his patriotism.

Now this asshole must have listened to the rant of that washed up comedian. That washed up comedian called President Barack Obama gay and said that First Lady Michelle Obama looks like a "tranny".

It's funny until she gets flack for it. And of course, she's gotten flack.

Tranny is an offensive term towards a transgender woman. They detest it.

But to the racist right and a hack comedian, it's business and we're in the shit for a profit.

Crazy Jones said, “Well, Joan Rivers talked about it the other day, and now it’s an international news story,” Jones said on-air. “The question is, ‘Who is Michelle Obama? Is she really a woman? Is she a man?’”

Jones went on to say he was “not drawing any conclusions” but that “it’s fair to question anything and everything this administration says” because no other administration in American history has “been caught with such a perfect record of everything they say and do being a lie or a fraud.”

Because the Obama administration is so dishonest, Jones concluded — what with its refusal to acknowledge chem trails, and how 9/11 was an inside job, and FEMA concentration camps, and Agenda 21, and the lizard-men who are secretly trying to harvest our precious bodily fluids — it is entirely understandable that “the public doesn't believe anything they’re saying.”

“[E]specially,” Jones added, “when every time I look at ‘Michelle’ or ‘Michael’ Obama — the first lady, or first tranny — something doesn't look right.”
First Lady Obama can teach Jimmy Fallon in drag "How to Dougie!"  Did you know that the president and First Lady Obama are trained to attack a perpetrator? Sometimes I wish Mrs. Obama would show Alex Jones how she is trained to knock a person out.
Jones added that Michelle Obama “doesn't look like any black woman I've ever known” and criticized her for having “shoulders that are wider than a man’s, which physiologically doesn't happen.”

“You can put three heads on a man’s shoulders, and two heads on a woman’s shoulders,”  Jones noted.

“That’s a known anatomy.”

Jones did not blame Obama herself for her wide shoulders, however, arguing instead that it was a result of a chemically induced mutation. “For me,” Jones said, “this really isn't just a laughing matter. It’s not just the sexuality, but the very genetics of the human species across the board is being manipulated.”

This is the freedom of speech people. The right to be a racist, homophobic, transphobic, Islamophobic, anti-Semitic, sexist asshole.

This is what this foolish agitator does. He's selling the kookspiracy. You can get your survivor food kits for a reasonable price as well.

Toni Braxton And Babyface: Love Marriage & Divorce!

File:Love,marriage&divorce.png
Toni Braxton and Babyface reunite for a duet album.

The veteran R & B producer and crooner reunites with the pop singer to record a duet album.

The Island Def Jam Music Group now has control over the Motown Records label.

Love, Marriage & Divorce includes eleven tracks including their Adult R&B #1 single, "Hurt You" as well as the second single "Where Did We Go Wrong". The album was originally due for release on November 25, 2013, although its release was delayed until the week before Valentine's Day.

The album is Babyface’s first new studio album in nearly seven years and Toni’s first new album since 2010’s Pulse.

Toni announced that she was returning to music with a Summer Tour and that she was in the studio working on her eighth studio album. She also stated that the album will not be a traditional album but rather a collaboration album featuring long-time collaborator Babyface. The album will entirely consist of duets between Braxton and Babyface.
Longtime collaborator Babyface worked with Toni Braxton on their duet album.
Babyface said that "The whole perspective is guy and girl, Mars vs. Venus. Even if you're in love, you're in love for different reasons", while Braxton added: “I think because Babyface and I have both gone through divorces, we can relate and we can collaborate together on this topic and make it so others who have gone through this situation can relate". The album Love, Marriage & Divorce will be released on February 4, 2014, under Motown Records.

The 2013 Summer Tour kicked off in Las Vegas on August 9, 2013 and ended in Atlanta on August 31, 2013. The lead single from Love, Marriage & Divorce "Hurt You" premiered on August 17, 2013.

The song attained success, claiming the No. 1 spot on two charts: the Billboard Adult R&B Songs chart for four weeks, and the Urban Adult Contemporary (Urban AC) for the week ending Dec. 14, 2013. This marked Braxton's first No. 1 hit on the Adult R&B Songs chart since her 2000 release "Just Be a Man About It."

The song also hit number 16 on Billboard Hot R&B/ Hip Hop Airplay chart.

The second single from the album, "Where Did We Go Wrong?" debuted at No. 20 on the Adult R&B Songs chart.

Juanita Moore Passes Away!

File:Imitation of Life-Juanita Moore.JPG
Actress Juanita Moore (right)

It was reported this week that actress Juanita Moore passed away at age 99.

She was the fifth African American to be nominated for an Academy Award in any category, and the third in the Supporting Actress category at a time when only a single African American had won an Oscar. Her most famous role was as Annie Johnson in the movie Imitation of Life (1959).

Born in Los Angeles in 1914, Moore was a chorus girl at the Cotton Club before becoming a film extra while working in theater. After making her film debut in Pinky (1949), she had a number of bit parts and supporting roles in motion pictures through the 1950s and 1960s. However, her role in Imitation of Life (1959), a remake, as housekeeper Annie Johnson, whose daughter Sarah Jane (Susan Kohner) passes for white, won her a nomination for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She was also nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for the role.

When the two versions of Imitation of Life were released together on DVD, the earlier film was released in 1934, one of the bonus features was a new interview with Juanita Moore.

Moore continued to perform in front of the camera, with a role in the movie Disney's The Kid (2000) and guest-starring roles on television shows Dragnet, Marcus Welby, M.D., ER and Judging Amy.

On April 23, 2010, a new print of Imitation of Life (1959) was screened at the TCM Film Festival in Los Angeles, to which Moore and co-star Kohner were invited. After the screening, the two women appeared on stage for a question-and-answer session hosted by TCM's Robert Osborne. Moore and Kohner received standing ovations.

We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to the family of Juanita Moore.

Queen Bey Goes Platinum And Gets Banned At Target!

A black background; the word "BEYONCÉ" is stylized in pink font and located in the center of the image.
Platinum selling album is banned in Target.

Beyonce Knowles is the queen of pop. She is aiming high off the charts. The pop singer reached platinum with over 1 million digital downloads of her self-titled fifth album.

Okay, the list of platinum selling acts in the hip-hop genre include Drake, Lil' Wayne, Kanye West, Eminem, Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake, Kendrick Lamar, and now Beyonce.

People were downloading that album at such a fast pace, she was declared platinum by RIAA.
Smiling all the way to the bank. Beyonce's album goes platinum.
The album garnered acclaim from critics who commended its experimental production and Knowles' vocal ability. In the US, Beyoncé debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with three-day sales of 617,213 digital copies, giving Knowles her fifth consecutive number-one. It became her highest first-week sales of her solo career, and the best-selling debut week for a female artist in 2013. "XO" was chosen as the lead single for both the U.S. and worldwide; while "Drunk in Love" is being released to urban radio in the US only.

Also her former sponsor is not carrying her album. The album release is coming out before Christmas and Target is not carrying the album.

The company kind of pissed that Beyonce didn't announce the digital buy through their website.

The Huffington Post reports that the Minnesota based company decided to not sell her album.

Target has opted out of selling "Beyonce" at its stores once iTunes' exclusive sale ends after Dec. 18, according to Billboard. Retailers are expected to have the album on shelves by Friday, Dec. 20, but it likely won't come with any bonus material or exclusive content.

"At Target we focus on offering our guests a wide assortment of physical CDs, and when a new album is available digitally before it is available physically, it impacts demand and sales projections," Target spokesperson Erica Julkowski told Billboard. "While there are many aspects that contribute to our approach and we have appreciated partnering with Beyonce in the past, we are primarily focused on offering CDs that will be available in a physical format at the same time as all other formats. At this time, Target will not be carrying Beyonce's new self-titled album 'Beyonce.'"

A representative from Target was not immediately available for further comment.

Back in 2011, Beyonce partnered with Target for the release of "4" with a deluxe version of the album. At the time, Target’s vice president of entertainment, John Butcher, told The Hollywood Reporter that the superstar singer had saved some of her favorite tracks just for the retail chain.

This time around, Beyonce's only target was her fans.

She released her self-titled album on Dec. 13 without any promotion or fanfare. The work came complete with 14 songs and 17 videos, making it an immersive "visual album."

"Now ... it's all about the single and the hype," Beyonce said. "It's so much that gets between the music and the artist and the fans. i felt like I don't want anybody to give the message when my record is coming out. I just want this to come out when it's ready and from me to my fans ... I would make my best art and just put it out."

The 32-year-old is certainly is doing just fine without Target. "Beyonce" has already shattered records selling 828,773 copies over the weekend. It's set to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard chart.

Queen Bey Drops A Secret Album!

Pop singer Beyonce learned how to work the game well. She releases Beyonce (self titled) album through iTunes today.

Beyonce surprises her fans by telling them that they better go and cop that album.

Today is the release of Beyonce's new album. No one knew she even produced her album. And people are coping it. It's certainly going platinum.

Looks like Queen Bey does it like her husband, Jay-Z.

The Huffington Post reports the singer has recruited her hubby, Drake, Frank Ocean, vocals from her daughter Blue Ivy.

The singer end-capped 2013 with an "exclusive visual album" that she announced on Facebook and hit iTunes as Thursday ticked into Friday morning. Her fifth LP is entitled "Beyoncé" and features tracks with Jay Z, Drake, Frank Ocean and the singer's daughter, Blue Ivy.

Every song on the album also comes with its own music video, a mammoth investment for a singer at Bey's level. The project comes amid whispers that Beyonce -- who let the Presidential Inauguration and Super Bowl pass without a new single -- wouldn't let 2013 go without a new album. Whispers turned into a reality that played out on Twitter, where fans excitedly shared the news, mostly in all-caps messages that included the letters "OMG."

That the album didn't leak in advance of it being released is nearly unprecedented in today's music market. Unconfirmed reports pointed to a possible one-week iTunes exclusive, with physical copies being printed as the album was released to the digital retailer. Often, leaks emerge once physical copies are printed and sent to brick and mortar stores.

“I see music,” Beyoncé said in a press release provided shortly after the album hit iTunes. "It’s more than just what I hear. When I’m connected to something, I immediately see a visual or a series of images that are tied to a feeling or an emotion, a memory from my childhood, thoughts about life, my dreams or my fantasies. And they’re all connected to the music.”

“I didn’t want to release my music the way I’ve done it,” she continued. “I am bored with that. I feel like I am able to speak directly to my fans. There’s so much that gets between the music, the artist and the fans. I felt like I didn’t want anybody to give the message when my record is coming out. I just want this to come out when it’s ready and from me to my fans.”

According to the press release, recording took place over a year and a half but began at a Hamptons retreat in the summer of 2012. A provided list of collaborators includes JAY Z, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Pharrell Williams, Drake, The Dream, Sia, Ryan Tedder, Miguel, Frank Ocean, Hit-Boy, Ammo, Boots, Detail, Jake Nava, Hype Williams, Terry Richardson, Melina Matsoukas, Jonas Åkerlund, Ricky Saiz, Pierre Debusschere, @lilinternet, Noah “40” Shebib, Francesco Carrozzini, Caroline Polachek, Ed Burke, Bill Kirstein and Todd Tourso.

“I just want to give my album to the people I love and respect and hope that they feel the same thing I felt when I made the music," the singer said.

Below, a full track-list and video-list with director credits. Previously teased tracks "Standing in the Sun" and "Grown Woman" did not make the album, though a video for the latter is included as a bonus.

California Passed The Halle Berry Law!

You can take pictures of her in the public. She doesn't appreciate her children being in the spotlight.

Congratulations to the 47-year old actress for delivering her second child.

The famed entertainer has keep her public life and private life separate. The entertainer was burdened by the paparazzi when they are taking pictures of her in her private time.

The cameras rolled when Berry was spending time with her first child. She didn't appreciate them putting her child in the spotlight and she wanted to take action against it.

Berry along with Jennifer Garner have spoken to the California legislators about the situation. And the lawmakers listened.

They have passed a law that made it clear that paparazzi and others who harass the children of public figures will face tougher penalties

Democratic California Governor Jerry Brown signed the law and it take effect.

The bill from state Sen. Kevin de Leon, D-Los Angeles, will boost penalties for actions that include taking photos and video of a child without parental consent and in a harassing manner.

Celebrities such as actresses Halle Berry and Jennifer Garner urged lawmakers to support SB606. Berry testified before several legislative committees that her daughter has been intimidated by photographers who follow them daily. She said the photographers often shout while they snap pictures.

"On behalf of my children, it is my hope that this is the beginning of the end for those overly aggressive paparazzi whose outrageous conduct has caused so much trauma and emotional distress," Berry said in a statement released by her publicist.

The measure also will help protect children of police officers and judges, and other kids who might be susceptible to harassment or unwanted attention due to their parents' occupations, de Leon said.

Berry, who won an Academy Award for her role in "Monster's Ball," said she plans to work with other professionals whose children are affected by the statute to ensure local law enforcement officials will vigorously enforce the new provisions.

Under the legislation, which takes effect in January, violators could face up to a year in county jail and a fine of up to $10,000. Fines would increase for subsequent convictions.

The bill also allows for parents to bring a civil action against violators to seek damages and attorneys' fees.

"Kids shouldn't be tabloid fodder nor the target of ongoing harassment," de León said. He added the new law "will give children, no matter who their parents are, protection from harassers who go to extremes to turn a buck."

Media organizations, including the California Newspaper Publishers Association, opposed the legislation, saying it was overly broad and could restrict legitimate newsgathering activities.

De Leon's office says the bill does not infringe on First Amendment rights because it targets the photographer's conduct, not the act of taking a photograph.

Halle Maria Berry (Maria Halle Berry by legal name) is an American actress and former fashion model. She won an Academy Award for Best Actress in 2002 for her performance in Monster's Ball, becoming the first and, as of 2013, the only woman of African-American descent to win an Oscar for a leading role. She is one of the highest paid actresses in Hollywood and has been involved in the production side of several of the films in which she performed. Berry is also a Revlon spokesmodel.

Before becoming an actress, Berry entered several beauty contests, finishing as the 1st runner-up in the Miss USA Pageant and coming in 6th place in the Miss World Pageant in 1986.

Her breakthrough film role was in 1992's Boomerang, which led to roles in films such as The Flintstones (1994) and Bulworth (1998). In addition to her Academy Award win, Berry reached a higher level of prominence in the new millennium with roles such as Storm in the X-Men film series (2000–present), Swordfish (2001), and Die Another Day (2002), where she played Bond Girl Jinx, later finding success in the 2010s with movies such as Cloud Atlas (2012) and The Call (2013).

She also won the Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Actress in 2005 for Catwoman and accepted the award in person, one of few people to do so.

Divorced from baseball player David Justice and musician Eric Benét, Berry has a daughter by French Canadian model Gabriel Aubry and just gave birth to a son with her current husband, actor Olivier Martinez.

She was born in Cleveland, Ohio. She and Oliver Martinez currently lives in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, California.

Eve Showing A Baby Bump!

File:Max and Eve.jpg
Eve and boyfriend Maximillion Cooper.
We continue to cover the DC Shipyard shooting event. We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences and prayers to those in this senseless tragedy. We'll keep you informed about the situation.

Man, here's another shocker. The entertainer Eve is pregnant. The pitbull in a skirt is going to have a puppy!

The entertainer Eve Jeffers and her boyfriend Maximillion Cooper announced the news. The rapper's first child and the British media mogul's fifth. He was previously married and has four children.

Eve Jihan Jeffers (born November 10, 1978), better known by her stage name, Eve, is an American Grammy Award winning rapper-songwriter, record producer and actress. Her first three albums have sold over 8 million copies worldwide.

Eve was the first female rap artist to sign to Ruff Ryders in 1998 after the rise of hardcore rap act DMX.

The Ruff Ryders at a time were on top of the music game. DMX and Eve sold the most albums on the label. Jadakiss, Styles P and Sheek Louch (who formed The Lox) were successful as a group and released solo albums. Swizz Beatz produced most of the Ruff Ryders albums.

Eve had tried to do a joint project with her former mentor Dr. Dre and release the album under both Aftermath and Ruff Ryders. That deal fell through and she decided to leave the labels and become an independent artist.

Eve is solely focused on acting and her business venues.

She has also achieved success in fashion with her clothing line, Fetish. She is the inaugural winner of the Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration in 2002 for the song "Let Me Blow Ya Mind", with Gwen Stefani. Eve was number 48 on VH1's "50 Greatest Women Of The Video Era" list. Eve released her fourth studio album entitled "Lip Lock" on May 14, 2013.

As an actress, Eve is best known for her roles as Terri Jones in the films Barbershop and Barbershop 2: Back in Business, and as Shelley Williams on the UPN television sitcom Eve.

We wish Eve well on her journey to parenthood.

Beyoncé's Brazilian Wax Pull!

Entertainer Beyoncé took to the social networks to show off her haircut. She was on tour and a fan grabbed her.

Entertainer was rattled by a crazed fan who pulled her off the stage.

After attending the marriage of Labron and Savannah James, the world famous pop star goes back on her concert tour. She heads down to San Paulo, Brazil for her performance.

I guess the fans really love them some Beyoncé.

An aggressive fan pulled the singer while she was performing her songs. Quick reaction from her personal bodyguards quickly removed the fan's grip off her.

Queen Bee got bodied.

The Daily Mail reports that the incident occurred when Beyoncé moved around the platform and leaned forward to sing to the crowd.

While most of the ticket-holders were happy just to bask in the singer's glow, the shirtless man became overwhelmed by the attention and decided to try and engage Beyoncé in a hug.
Security needed: A security guard rushed to the stage and pulled Beyonce back up
The entertainer was shaken by the aggressive male fan.
After Beyoncé's security guards pulled her back onto the stage, Beyoncé quickly resumed singing and dancing in her sequined blue jumpsuit during the performance at the Estadio do Morumbi stadium following the incident.

'It's all right,' she told the crowd as she picked up a Brazilian flag that was tossed onto the stage. She moved toward the man after resuming singing and told him: 'It's alright, it's alright.'

The video after the jump.

Heads will roll after that one. But seriously, this is the price of being an icon. You get the halo! Figuratively speaking, of course. Of course, she had short hair! So obviously she should have kept the fake weave out of the hands of crazed fans!

Anyway, the entertainer and her husband media mogul/rapper Jay-Z had to pay their respects to a member of their entourage who was killed in Miami.
Beyonce was once a client of Oosterbroek.
Jay-Z and Beyonce with bodyguard killed by Miami police in apparent break-in.
Norman Oosterbroek, 43, who had guarded Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Beyoncé, broke into a Miami mansion.

Miami-Dade police tased Oosterbroek after a confrontation. He died after the tasing. The man was apparently under the influence and was naked.

Nicknamed the “Dutch Giant” because of his tall, 280-pound frame, the human shield was tasered by Pinecrest police while he was allegedly hitting the resident and ingesting suspected drugs. He died a short time later at a nearby hospital.

Oosterbroek got his start in the business guarding Nelson Mandela in South Africa.

And of course her old flame is pissed that he dumped a future icon of entertainment. He wants to know if Queen Bee could loan him a couple of bucks now!

Lyndell Locke wants to borrow a dollar.
He shows some sort of remorse for his former flame Beyoncé. After all, he dumped her to find another woman. The entertainer comes from a Christian background and was saving sex for marriage.

Lyndall Locke says he is that guy.

Locke recently spoke in an interview with British media about his relationship with Beyoncé when she was an aspiring singer growing up in Houston. The two were allegedly childhood sweethearts who first met at a youth church in 1993. They supposedly shared their first kiss at a Brian McKnight concert and went to prom together in 1997. But when Beyoncé's star began to rise as part of Destiny's Child, Locke said he began to wander.

"The bigger star she became, the more I didn’t think I was good enough," he said in the sit-down, printed in British tabloid The Sun.

"One night, when she was out of town, I went to a bar with friends and ended up sleeping with another woman. Over the course of a few years I cheated on her about five times, but I never told her until after we broke up."

Apparently, Beyoncé had vowed to stay a virgin until marriage. Even though she and Locke were never intimate, he claims he "respected" her choice.

“Who cheats on a woman as beautiful as Beyoncé? Well, I am that man and it’s something that’ll always haunt me," he said, adding, “Once she began dating Jay-Z I knew we were doomed and I could never win her back. But I know that no matter what, she will always love me."

While Locke can certainly dream, it's doubtful the superstar singer has given their relationship much thought (if any at all).

Jay-Z appears on Roc-A-Fella Records and Roc Nation, LLC.

Soledad O'Brien Joins Al-Jazeera!

Veteran reporter joins Al Jazeera America.

It seems like veteran reporter Soledad O'Brien has departed from CNN.

It appears that she's moving to the Al Jazeera America. In a surprising move, the network has announced that it's signing on her and Ali Velshi to the roster.

The network is based out of Qatar and it's coverage is worldwide. Now in the United States, the network will move into a market saturated with political warfare from the likes of CNN, Loserville and Obama News.

Al Jazeera is probably more qualified in coverage of international affairs. It doesn't give the one sided story of "good vs. evil" as those America cable networks spin news out to be.

It's pretty controversial. The turdporters over at Loserville were decrying Al Jazeera as propaganda arm of terrorism.

But it's likely going to make real journalist work harder for their awards. Never seen a

It replaces liberal network Current TV. The Current TV network was started by former vice president Al Gore. The former politico wanted to compete with cable agitators by establishing a "progressive themed network" with talents that are free to express opinion unfiltered. It leaves the liberal agitators Cenk Uygur of the Young Turks, Stephanie Miller, Bill Press, John Fugelsang, and Joy Baher in limbo.

Former governors Jennifer Granholm and Eliot Spitzer departed from the network earlier this year.

They've fired Keith Olbermann in 2012. Olbermann was fired from Obama News a few years back.

Deadline confirms that the 46-year old reporter is joining the network. as “special correspondent.”

O'Brien’s production company, Starfish Media Group will produce hourlong documentary specials for the cable network. “I look forward to beginning a relationship with Al Jazeera America, which has made a commitment to producing quality programming and pursuing underreported stories,” O’Brien said in the announcement, confirming speculation that started last week. As a correspondent, O’Brien will contribute short-form segments to the primetime current affairs mag America Tonight on the new network, which is funded by the government of Qatar.

O'Brien stepped down from CNN in March when network chief Jeff Zucker scrubbed her program Starting Point; he gave the time slot to Chris Cuomo's New Day. At the time she left CNN, she formed Starfish Media, which, in addition to the production deal with Al Jazeera America, now also has a production deal with CNN, and development deals at HBO and National Geographic Channel.

Don't worry people, Soledad O'Brien still does Black In America and Latino In America for CNN.

Al Jazeera America launches in August.

Rapper Jay Z takes his wife Beyonce Knowles and their daughter Blue Ivy to lunch at Szptime restaurant on April 25, 2013 in Paris.
Hip-Hop Power Couple Expects Second Child!

Is it possible or it's just rumor?

Could the pop singer Beyonce be pregnant again?

Sources say it's true!

Power couple Jay-Z and Beyonce are expecting the second Roc in their family!

Wow, what a day for the hip-hop community!

You know how the media just loves to peep into the life of the Carters.

So far no comment from the representatives of Beyonce or Jay-Z, but the news is quickly spreading across the newswires. Even King Hippo, a nemesis of the couple managed to throw his opinion into the matter.

Wonder if President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama will call them and wish them well?

We'll keep an eye on the situation here at Journal de la Reyna if anything else happens.

Yeah, we'll cover the rift between Kelly Rowland and Beyonce also!

Lauryn Hill Bitching About 3 Months In The Iron College!

The official mugshot of entertainer Lauryn Hill. The 37-year old singer will be spending time in the iron college for not paying her taxes. She goes into an epic rant about how the United States Justice System screws over Black people.

She's lucky!

The former Fugee singer could have gotten at least 10 years in the federal joint for deliberately not paying her taxes. The singer will go to the federal joint for a three month stay and a few years of probation.

Lauryn Hill appears as an artist on Sony Music Entertainment.

The entertainer is one of many Black celebrities in the news for blowing money fast. She joins the ranks of Lil' Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Young Buck, Wesley Snipes, R. Kelly, Mary J. Blige and Swizz Beatz as entertainers who have a longstanding issue with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

The singer may have to fork over Grammy's, her platinum plaques, her home, car and her trademarks as collateral.

Lauryn Noelle Hill (born May 26, 1975) is an American singer-songwriter, rapper, record producer, and actress. Early in her career, she established her reputation as an actress in the film Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit, and then as the front woman of the hip-hop group Fugees. In 1998, she launched her solo career with the release of The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. The album sold over eight million copies and earned five Grammy Awards for Hill, including Album of the Year and Best New Artist.

To date, she has won a total of eight Grammys.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Madeline Cox Arleo in Newark, N.J. federal court also sentenced the famed rapper and actress to three months of home confinement with electronic monitoring after the prison term. Hill must also serve a year of supervised release and pay a $60,000 fine in addition to paying her tax debt to the IRS.

Hill is a 37-year-old South Orange, N.J. resident who won fame as a member of the Fugees and then launched a solo career that included the Grammy-winning The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill . She pleaded guilty last year in the tax case.

In a courtroom statement to Arleo, Hill said she had always intended to pay the overdue taxes eventually, but found herself unable to raise the money during a period when she had dropped out of the music business.

Hill had faced a maximum sentence of one year each on three counts. Her lawyer, Nathan Hochman, had argued for probation.

Hochman said Hill had paid more than $970,000 to satisfy her tax liabilities.

Last month, Hill used Tumblr to address media reports that stated she'd reached new label deal with Sony Worldwide Entertainment to release music that would help her pay the tax debts. Hill confirmed a deal with Sony but said the reported nature of the deal and dollar amounts involved were inaccurate.

Prosecution records filed in the tax case by the office of U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman showed that Hill owned and operated four private corporations in addition to her entertainment career. Royalties from the recording and film industries were Hill's primary form of income, the prosecution document charged.

Hill received more than $1.8 million in income during 2005, 2006 and 2007 but didn't file tax returns during that time. Although her guilty plea specifically related to that three-year period, Fishman said her sentence also took into account additional income and tax losses for 2008 and 2009, when she similarly failed to file tax returns. The sentence also addressed overdue New Jersey state taxes.

In all, federal prosecutors said Hill had earned approximately $2.3 million during the five years and had an unpaid tax total of $1,006,517 before more recent payments.

Hill is tentatively scheduled to begin her prison term July 8. It was not immediately clear where she would serve the sentence.

Hill took to Tumblr to express her outrage about her sentencing.

It has been reported that I signed a new record deal, and that I did this to pay taxes. Yes, I have recently entered into an agreement with Sony Worldwide Entertainment, to launch a new label, on which my new music will be released. And yes, I am working on new music.

I’ve remained silent, after an extensive healing process. This has been a 10+ year battle, for a long time played out behind closed doors, but now in front of the public eye. This is an old conflict between art and commerce… free minds, and minds that are perhaps overly tethered to structure. This is about inequity, and the resulting disenfranchisement caused by it. I’ve been fighting for existential and economic freedom, which means the freedom to create and live without someone threatening, controlling, and/or manipulating the art and the artist, by tying the purse strings.

It took years for me to get out of the ‘parasitic’ dynamic of my youth, and into a deal that better reflects my true contribution as an artist, and (purportedly) gives me the control necessary to create a paradigm suitable for my needs. I have been working towards this for a long time, not just because of my current legal situation, but because I am an artist, I love to create, and I need the proper platform to do so.

The nature of my new business venture, as well as the dollar amount reported, was inaccurate, only a portion of the overall deal. Keep in mind, my past recordings have sold over 50,000,000 units worldwide, earning the label a tremendous amount of money (a fraction of which actually came to me).

Only a completely complicated set of traps, manipulations, and inequitable business arrangements could put someone who has accomplished the things that I have, financially in need of anything. I am one artist who finds value in openly discussing the dynamics within this industry that force artists to compromise or distort themselves and what they do, rather than allowing them to make the music that people need. There are volumes that could (and will) be said.

Black Woman Lies White, Gets Job Interview!

Yolonda Spivey, an unemployed woman creates a fake profile as a White woman to seek jobs

Special thanks to David Packman, EurWeb and Addicting Info for putting this out.

Okay, I've said it too many times. It's nearly harder for a person of color to find a job in this economy.

Whenever Black conservatives point fingers at the Democratic Party for the outlandish conditions due to economic turmoils within the Black community, they've always painted a political opponent solely responsible for the outcome.

The David Packman Show, a liberal talk radio host who streams his programs through YouTube and the liberal news agitator website Addicting Info brings forth a story about Yolanda Spivey, a unemployed woman who decided to challenge a claim that so many people of color longed complained about.

Today's society thinks of Blacks as "natural born criminals". Black males are always singled out in regards to rape, gun crime, violence towards White people and lousy workers. In the conservative/White supremacist bubble, anything that comes from the likes of That Guy Who Throws Shit To The Wall, is certain to draw their ire.

The first Black president, Barack Obama is a representative of empowerment and strength within the Black community. The conservative/White supremacist bubble undermines this success as another "affirmative action Nigger!" This is why you hear crap about Black communities being ruined by Democrats and Black leaders. The condescending rhetoric from the likes of these people are certain to rile up Black voters.

Failure to understand that the real issues keep Blacks down. Institutional racism is a perceived fear of a Black worker. Institutional racism describes any kind of system of inequality based on race. It can occur in institutions such as public government bodies, private business corporations (such as media outlets), and universities (public and private).

Persistent negative stereotypes fuel institutional racism, and influence interpersonal relations. Racial stereotyping contributes to patterns of racial residential segregation, and shape views about crime, crime policy, and welfare policy, especially if the contextual information is stereotype-consistent. A great percentage of white Americans rate Black Americans and Latino Americans as less intelligent, preferring to live from welfare benefits rather than work, and “more difficult to get along with socially”.

Institutional racism is distinguished from racial bigotry by the existence of institutional systemic policies, practices and economic and political structures which place non-white racial and ethnic groups at a disadvantage in relation to an institution’s white members. One example is public school budgets (including local levies and bonds) and the quality of teachers, which in the U.S. are often correlated with property values: rich neighborhoods are more likely to be more 'white' and to have better teachers and more money for education, even in public schools.

Restrictive housing contracts and bank lending policies have also been listed as forms of institutional racism.

Other examples are racial profiling by security guards and police, use of stereotyped racial caricatures (e.g. "Indian" sport mascots), the under- and mis-representation of certain racial groups in the junk food media, and race-based barriers to gainful employment and professional advancement. Additionally, differential access to goods, services, and opportunities of society can be included within the term institutional racism, such as unpaved streets and roads, inherited socio-economic disadvantage, “standardized” tests (each ethnic group prepared for it differently; many are poorly prepared), et cetera.

EurWeb and Techyville report that this experiment is controversial and it's giving credence to the Black community's claims that it's harder to work if you're Black!

Yolanda Spivey, an insurance professional, could not understand how the offers simply dried up for her after being in the insurance industry for an entire decade.  She was out of a job for two years before it occurred to her that she might need to further her education, according to Techyville.

She went back to school and finished her degree, but the job opportunities did not increase. She was still in a rut until a young white woman who graduated with her told her how she had applied for a job as a clerk, but was given an executive position simply because a fellow white woman in Human Resources “just liked her.”

A lightbulb went off in her head! Why don’t I apply as a white woman?  She found that her experiment yielded numerous immediate results.  She was an overnight success story when she applied online as Bianca White. Some interviewers called her more than once seeking an interview with her.

But, while she became an overnight sensation with employers, she was not shocked at the results. Check out her experiment here and the online experience that may shock you.

Black conservatives failed to see that they're just Niggers like the Black liberals. It doesn't matter what political affiliation you have, in the minds of White conservative males, you're just NIGGERS!

Those Black conservatives are NIGGERS who know their place!

Dionne Warwick Couldn't Predict Her Trip To The Poor House!

Dionne Warwick's money woes are an issue today! Warwick, famous singer and actress files for bankruptcy.

Sometime ago, Dionne Warwick was telling the public that our youth couldn't spell because of rappers like Snoop Doggy Dogg. Back in the 1990s at the peak of gangster rap, many Black leaders and White conservatives were throwing their crap to the wall hoping it would stick.

She joined C. Delores Tucker, Brent Bozell and Joe Lieberman in stomping on the music CDs of Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur.

Yeah, I remember she was part of the Psychic Friends Network. She was selling the hustle of predicting the future.

Yeah, I also remember that she was busted in Hawaii with a little of the sticky icky.

Now I can remember that the famous singer is now broke, literally. And she couldn't predict this demise?

The cousin of Whitney Houston is now sitting on the verge of being out of money. The famous singer has made an appearance in U.S. Bankruptcy court to file for backruptcy. She owing over $10 million in taxes.

Warwick has been spending like a queen and not putting it on paper.

The Raw Story reports that her problems are due to the reported mismanagement of her business affairs, she lists liabilities that include nearly $7 million owed to the Internal Revenue Service for the years 1991 to 1999 and more than $3 million in business taxes owed to the state of California. Unable to work out an agreement with tax officials, she and her attorney decided that declaring bankruptcy would be the best course of action.

Warwick lives off of her performance income, which varies from month to month, and a monthly $14,000 pension from the Screen Actors Guild, said her attorney, Daniel M. Stolz. She also receives $1,000 in royalties a month, according to the petition.

Stolz said Warwick paid more than $1 million toward back taxes she owes, but because of interest and penalties, her tax liability "continued to mushroom."

"It was a small liability in the 90's but it kept growing and growing," he said.

Stolz said Warwick tried to work out payment plans to the Internal Revenue Service and the California Franchise Tax Board for taxes owed. The plans, he said, were rejected.

"She really had no choice," than to file for bankruptcy, Stolz said.

"Ms. Warwick is a very proud woman and was reluctant to file."

Warwick, the aunt of vocalist Cissy Houston and cousin of the late Whitney Houston, comes from a long line of singers. A graduate of East Orange High School, Warwick got her start in gospel and released her first single, "Don't Make Me Over" in 1962.
Legendary rapper, Snoop Dogg goes to the reggae outlet for his next album. He transitions to Snoop Lion.
Earlier this month before filing for bankruptcy, she performed in Red Bank and was presented the key to her native East Orange.

Now I know we here at Journal de la Reyna hope the best for her! It's pretty clear, that for all the years of grandstanding and attacking others for reckless behavior, it's no surprise she would be in the spotlight.

I mean she attacked Snoop Dogg for smoking weed, yet she smokes it too.

She blames hip-hop music for being Black America's downfall, but she does things that give White conservatives a reason to see Blacks as a part of the downfall.

This adds to the list of Black entertainers who owe taxes. By the way, Snoop Dogg (known for now as Snoop Lion) also owes the tax man for some unclaimed funds.

Valarie Harper Fights For Life!

News of an uncurable cancer has Valarie Harper fighting for her life.
One of the nation's most watched television program of the 1970s, The Mary Tyler Moore Show brought to fame three successful entertainers.

Besides Mary Tyler Moore who played independent woman Mary Richards, there was her feisty boss Lou Grant  played by Ed Asner and her best friend Rhoda Morgenstern played by Valarie Harper. Towards the end of The Mary Tyler Moore Show, the show created a spin-off based off of Rhoda's life in Manhattan.

The sitcom Rhoda came into the late 1970s and ended in the start of 1980.

Valerie Harper had battled lung cancer in 2009.

On March 6, 2013, it was announced on NBC's The Today Show that she has an incurable form of brain cancer and opted for a course of chemotherapy to prolong her life.

People Magazine quoted Harper in its March 8, 2013 issue as stating that tests from her January 2013 hospital stay revealed she has leptomeningeal carcinomatosis, a rare condition in which cancer cells spread into the fluid-filled membrane surrounding the brain, most likely related to her previous battle with lung cancer.

According to ABC News, Harper's doctors reportedly have told her she may have just three months to live.

The nation is pouring sympathy for Valarie Harper. We here at Journal de la Reyna send our blessing to her and her family.

With tributes pouring in, many are hoping that Valarie Harper may survive another year.

While I must admit that I didn't grow up during the 1970s, but I remember watching Mary Tyler Moore on Nick at Nite during the late 1980s and 1990s. I remember the show very well.

When television was in its infancy there were only three networks ABC, CBS and NBC. The CBS program was a product of James L. Brooks.

Brooks is famous for not just The Mary Tyler Moore Show, but comedy sketch show The Tracey Ullman Show and the longtime animated sitcom The Simpsons.

Valerie Harper (born August 22, 1939) is an American actress, known for her roles as Rhoda Morgenstern on the 1970s television series The Mary Tyler Moore Show and its spin-off Rhoda, and later as Valerie Hogan on Valerie (later The Hogan Family).

Last week the nation lost famed actress Bonnie Franklin. Bonnie starred in One Day at a Time as Ann Romano, a divorced mother who moves to Indianapolis with her two teenage daughters Julie and Barbara Cooper (Mackenzie Phillips, Valerie Bertinelli) with Dwayne Schneider (Pat Harrington) as their building superintendent. The sitcom came on in the mid-1970s at the peak of The Mary Tyler Moore Show.

I guess Valarie wanted to get the news out there in regards to the passing of her fellow actress/friend.

Is CNN's Soledad O'Brien On Her Way Out?

Numerous outlets are reporting that veteran CNN anchor Soledad O'Brien is on the chopping block.

The era of Jeff Zucker begins.

The former NBC executive became the president of the struggling cable news network. His first mission is to clean house. As president of CNN, Zucker made it clear that he wants CNN to be on top. With his network struggling in ratings, he's finding the old guard isn't feasible, so he's letting go of the familiar faces.

In the early months, Zucker canned John King, James Carville, Bill Bennett, Mary Matlin, and Erick Erickson. He hired former ABC reporters Jake Tapper, Chris Cuomo and is gunning for Ann Curry (once NBC lets her go)!

With this new vision, some heads will roll. Erin Burnett's primetime program canceled. He wants to put her in the morning spot. So that was done and it left Soledad O'Brien without a spot.

So what's left for her?

The possibility of quitting the network she's been on for nearly 8 years.

The New York Post reports Soledad O’Brien is on her way out at CNN as new boss Jeff Zucker moves Erin Burnett into her morning slot.

We’re told award-winning journalist O’Brien has indicated she is ready to leave after she was initially promised a plum prime-time slot, but that role has so far failed to materialize.

A source tells us: “The deal to move Erin to the morning alongside Chris Cuomo is basically done. Soledad had been told she’d get a prime-time slot, but that hasn’t yet happened, and now she is telling friends she is likely to leave.”

The source added, “Soledad is talented at producing in-depth, serious pieces of journalism, and is a tough interviewer. That doesn’t seem to fit the direction the network is going.”

Another source added, “Soledad is a big star, and would only stay for the right show. There’s word there will be a flurry of announcements at CNN very soon, including Erin’s move to the morning.”

O’Brien jumped from NBC to CNN in 2003, anchoring “American Morning,” and then moved on to anchoring specials. She’s anchored the current morning show, “Starting Point,” since January of last year.

She said in a recent interview that she was sure she would not be hosting a lighter morning show once Zucker, her former boss at NBC, took the reins. “I’m fairly confident that I’m not going to be cooking salmon and doing fashion shows on CNN,” she told the Times.

She added, “Listen, I have been doing this gig for a while. People go crazy with speculation every time there’s a shift in leadership. I can’t comment on every rumor, but so far I’ve read reports on me, Anderson [Cooper], Piers [Morgan], Ann Curry and Erin Burnett, and all that’s clear to me is that somebody’s busy dialing Page Six.”

Soledad, who fronted documentaries “Black in America” and “Latino in America,” was a favorite of former CNN Worldwide president Jim Walton, who stepped down at the end of last year. A CNN rep said, “We don’t comment on speculation.”

Mary J. Blige Is Piggy Bank Broke!

Mary J. Blige is being sued over a default on a loan.
The Queen Of R & B is racking up debt and she's being sued by the credit card companies.

What's the 411?

A number she's going to need to get help paying off those loan sharks.

Reuters report that the Bank of America and other organizations are suing the R & B diva for defaulting on her loans.

In November, Mary J. Blige was hit with a lawsuit on Wednesday alleging the Grammy winner and her husband defaulted on a $2.2 million bank loan.

According to court documents filed in New York State Supreme Court in Manhattan, Signature Bank is seeking to recoup the original loan plus $58,000 in interest.

Blige, 42, who has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide, and her husband Martin Isaacs took out the loan in October 2011 and defaulted in July 2012, the suit alleges.

Blige's publicist declined comment on the lawsuit. The singer's attorney did not immediately return a request to comment.

The lawsuit also names Blige's production company, Mary Jane Productions Inc.

The lawsuit is the latest financial headache for the New York City native. The "Family Affair" singer's charity, The Mary J. Blige and Steve Stoute Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now Inc, was accused earlier in this year of mishandling funds and cheating scholarship students.

Blige acknowledged the problems in a June interview.

"The lives of young women are at stake," the singer told Reuters when asked about the allegations. "I feel what they feel. I don't want them to suffer. I promised them something and I'm gonna deliver. Period."

The signer also was hit with another lawsuit over a $500,000 loan.

With ten albums and over millions sold Mary J. Blige is has grown from the days of New Jack Swing to Midnight Soul. Her debut album What's The 411?  broke the ground for a legendary career.

She is a recipient of nine Grammy Awards and four American Music Awards, and has recorded eight multi-platinum albums. She is the only artist with Grammy Award wins in R&B, Rap, Gospel, and Pop.

Mary J. Blige appears under Geffen Records/Interscope Records.

Quvenzhané Wallis: Youngest Actress Gets Oscar Buzz!

History was made today at the Academy Awards nomination reading. Quvenzhané Wallis is only 9-years old and she became the first African American to ever receive a nomination at such an age.

The Huffington Post/Associated Press reports that Quvenzhané Wallis just made history. With the announcement of the nominees for the 85th annual Academy Awards this morning, the Louisiana-born Wallis, just 9 years old, is now the youngest ever nominee for Best Actress in a Leading Role.

Wallis, who was just 5 when she auditioned for the role in "Beasts of the Southern Wild," has received major recognition and critical acclaim for her portrayal of the character Hushpuppy.

She beat out former record-holder Keisha Castle-Hughes who was nominated for "Whale Rider" at age 13. Wallis is up for the Best Actress honor against Jessica Chastain for "Zero Dark Thirty," Jennifer Lawrence for "Siver Linings Playbook," Naomi Watts for "The Impossible," and Emmanuelle Riva for "Amour." In an interesting twist, at age 85, Riva is now the oldest nominee for Best Actress in a Leading Role. (Riva will turn 86 on Feb. 24, which is Oscar night.)

Since her breakout role in "Beasts of the Southern Wild," Wallis has now been cast in the upcoming movie "Twelve Years a Slave," which also stars Paul Giamatti, Brad Pitt, and Michael Fassbender.

"Beasts of the Southern Wild" was nominated for a total of four awards. In addition to Wallis' nod for Best Actress, "Beasts" was nominated for Best Picture, Best Director for Benh Zeitlin, and Best Adapted Screenplay.
