Hulu and Fox Animation announce the reboot to Mike Judge and Greg Daniels series.
On. uesday that it has ordered a reboot of the iconic series' from its original creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, who will serve as executive producers during its return, along with showrunner Saladin Patterson.
Fans will also be thrilled to know that the endlessly quotable series is bringing back the original voice actors who brought the show's characters to life for 13 seasons and more 250 episodes on FOX between 1997 and 2010. Returning voice actors include Mike Judge (Hank Hill and Boomhauer), Kathy Najimy (Peggy Hill), Stephen Root (Bill Dauterive), Pamela Adlon (Bobby Hill), Johnny Hardwick (Dale Gribble), and Lauren Tom (Minh Souphanousinphone). Brittany Murphy had passed away in 2009. She played Luanne.

The two-time Emmy Award-winning animated show will return to the fictional suburban town of Arlen, Texas. Per Hulu's announcement, the series will continue to follow the life and times of Hank Hill, "an enthusiastic seller of propane and propane accessories; his wife, Peggy, local Boggle champ and substitute teacher; and their 13-year-old son, Bobby, who defies any expectation his father had for a son.
"We are all so excited to welcome back Hank, Peggy and Bobby, and to see what they have to say about the world we live in and continue the conversations we began years ago," said Craig Erwich, president of ABC Entertainment, Hulu and Disney branded Television Streaming Originals, in a statement. "This show has all of the perfect ingredients to meet this moment in animation at Hulu, and we're so thankful to be having those conversations alongside this talented group." There's no word yet when new episodes will debut.
