People Magazine Online finally Mentioned Trinity Love Jones Albeit Briefly

Miss Trinity Jones, enjoying life to the fullest

People magazine, a magazine that normally don't cover Black female victims of murder, finally mentioned, albeit briefly, the murder of young Trinity Love Jones.

The headlines mentioned,

"9-Year-Old Calif. Girl Found Slain in Duffel Bag Was 'Fun, Loving,' as 2 People Are Detained"

They briefly talked about how the maintenance workers found her body in a duffel bag.  She was dead for at least 48 hours and that they have two "persons of interest" in custody.

The story mentioned her father.  Mainstream media rarely mentioned the father in connection with Black female victims of crime.
Her father Antonio Jones told the outlet his daughter was “fun, loving, big heart(ed), bubbly.”  “Little girl could’ve been whatever she wanted to be in life,” he said.

People Magazine is one of those magazines that appeal to the working to middle class white women demographic.  Whether is about one of the attractive white women missing, we usually received in-depth reports along with photos of the women.  Whereas Black female victims get a brief write-up and nothing else. Come on, People, stop it with your bias!

While I'm talking about the magazine's lack of interest in Black women/girls, here are some pictures of Miss Trinity Love Jones:

Personal note:  I have cousins living in L.A.  I hope and pray that they're safe and sound in and around the L.A. area. Pray for the children of L.A., Dayton, and around the world because this world is not safe for kids, including those living in affluent circumstances.
