Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) writes a scathing post about Donald Trump and Republicans. |
The former 2012 Republican presidential nominee won the Utah senate race. He is no longer a perennial candidate. He is a "winner."
Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) wrote an op-ed for the Washington Post.
In this op-ed, Romney blast Donald J. Trump.
In his piece, he openly states that Trump was not his choice for the Republican nomination. I was hoping that his campaign would implode. Romney said that the departures of Trump's administration officials worried him. He believes that he's not listening to advisers and taking talking points from the likes of Fox News and talk radio.
Romney vows to challenge Trump on issues.
"I will speak out against significant statements or actions that are divisive, racist, sexist, anti-immigrant, dishonest or destructive to democratic institutions."
No he won't.
He will be lockstep with the Trump decisions regardless. He will say one thing but do another thing.
Romney admits: "Mr. President, sir, I am going to vote for every single one of your bills - but I will be frowning."
On Thursday the swearing in. Romney, Kyrsten Sinema, Martha McSally, Jacky Rosen, Rick Scott, Marsha Blackburn, Josh Hawley, Mike Bruan and Kevin Cramer will be our new senators.
