Yearly Wrap Up!

Onward to another year.
Great, another year.

Closing out 2018 with another year of controversy, death, success and failure.

This is Journal de la Reyna (World News Today). This is your blog.

We appreciate your valued support and vow to continue on.

The year in review.

So instead of doing a long written out listing of the most notable events of 2018, I'll just put the most in poll.

We had mass shootings in the United States. Most of the mass shootings didn't really move the needle on gun control policies. However, activism got people out to vote. It helped Moms Demand Action activist Lucy McBath to become a Congresswoman. McBath is the mother of Jordan Davis. The teen was killed in Florida in 2012. Activism got the National Rifle Association in trouble with the feds. They had a Russian spy infiltrate the organization to peddle influence in the election. The revenue is slowly drying up. Advertising groups won't do business with the NRA because of Dana Loesch and Dan Bongino. The NRA's spokesperson Wayne LaPierre is now listed as a white extremist by the Southern Poverty Law Center. Former Milwaukee County sheriff David Clarke now under the federal radar. Killer Mike is considered a sell-out because he endorsed the NRA.

Mass shootings will continue. But with Democrats planning on passing gun reform laws in the term, maybe change is a coming. About 94 people are killed a day by firearms. That means about 59,000 people have died each year to gun violence.

Which mass shooting in 2018 got your attention?

The Marjory Stoneman Douglas Massacre in Parkland, Florida.
The EA Sports Madden Tournament Massacre in Jacksonville, Florida.
The Tree of Life Synagogue Massacre in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The Capital Gazette Massacre in Annapolis, Maryland.
The Gun Violence Epidemic in Chicago, Illinois.
The Borderline Bar & Grill Massacre in Thousand Oaks, California.
Other mass shootings (ex. Nashville Waffle House Massacre, Baltimore, Maryland Warehouse Massacre, Santa Fe, Texas Middle School Massacre, etc.)

What happen to _________? For the year, I've posted about people of color being killed by law enforcement and vigilantes. I am still vocal about how law enforcement is killing Black men without prejudice. I've seen it time after time and I believe it's going to get worse before it gets better. We're still demanding justice reform despite Congress passing a bipartisan law. We need police reform, better trained officers and a sense of understanding. We also need to have law enforcement better equipped in the case of a shooting. Cause I know cops have a thankless job.

Just like them, I want to go home tonight and see my family.

The law killing people of color. Which event touched you the most?

Botham Jean being killed by a former Dallas Police Officer after she mistaken his apartment as hers.
Emantic Fitzgerald Bradford, Jr. being killed by a Hoover, Alabama Police Officer after he thought he was the gunman. Didn't even give an order. Shot the "good guy" with a gun. Happened in a mall. Actual killer caught after two weeks of damage control.
Jemel Roberson being killed by Chicago Police. He was a security guard trying to protect lives. Cops shot the "good guy" with a gun.
Stephon Clark being killed by the Sacramento Police. He was allegedly fleeing into his grandparents yard when two cops killed him after they mistaken a phone as a gun.
Saheed Vassell being killed by the New York Police Department. The NYPD saw a mentally ill man running with a pipe. They didn't even give him enough time to drop it. They shot him at point blank range.
Diante Yarber being killed by the Barstow, California Police. He was in a moving vehicle leaving Walmart when a cop shot into his vehicle over 30 times.
Antwon Rose being killed by the East Pittsburgh Police. He was fleeing a vehicle when a rookie officer decided to shoot Rose in the back seven times.
Thurman Blevins Jr. being killed by the Minneapolis Police. He was fleeing two officers when they spotted a firearm. He didn't point at them. They shot him twice in the back.
Lamar Richardson being killed by the Toledo, Ohio Police. He was fleeing two officers. They claimed he pointed a weapon at them. They shot him ten times.
Daniel Hambrick being killed by Nashville Metro Police. He was fleeing after exiting a vehicle. A rookie cop shot him in the head and then kicked his lifeless body.
Markeis McGlockton being killed by a vigilante in Clearwater, Florida. The killer got into a confrontation with McGlockton's girlfriend. He responded by pushing the killer away from his car. The killer then pulled out his firearm and shot him in the chest. The killer shot McGlockton in front of his children.
Other (Any other notable events where the police shot and killed a person of color).

White folks calling the law on people of color. This year saw a lot of white people being dubbed this "cutesy" nicknames to point out their flagrant use of 911 on people of color minding their business. I know I've seen it one too many times in the United States.

Who will be the next white person shamed out of a job?

White people calling the law on people of color. Which one will be the most memorable?

The manager of a Starbucks called the Philadelphia Police on two customers waiting on a friend. (BECKY)
The CVS manager who called the Chicago Police on a woman because he was upset she had a lot of coupons. (COUPON CARL)
The canibus vendor who called the San Francisco Police on an 8 year old selling water outside a condo. (PERMIT PATTY)
The New York woman who called the NYPD on a 9 year old boy after she claimed he sexually assaulted her. Turns out it was his backpack that brushed her. (CORNERSTORE CAROLINE)
The college instructor who called the Oakland Police on a family who was grilling in a park (BBQ BECKY)
The woman who smacked a boy after she saw him swimming her apartment pool. (POOL PATROL PAULA)
Other (Any other events where a white person called, assaulted or harassed a person of color).

Media shake ups. We know that Roseanne Barr, Megyn Kelly and Bill Cosby top the 2018 biggest media shakeups. But I want to know what were your moments? I know it's hard to watch hours of celebrity news and political commentary. Trust me, it's nauseating! It's a part of our job to cover what's happening in the year and hope to give a better take in 2019.

What was the biggest shock in the junk food media?
Code:

Megyn Kelly proved to be the biggest flop over at NBC News.
Roseanne Barr's racist tweet killed her career. Hollywood blackballed her and cancelled her check.
The Weekly Standard folds after years of promoting far-right extremism
The National Enquirer admits that it hid damaging stories about Donald Trump.
Kathie Lee Gifford retires from NBC's Today after years of hosting.
Les Moonves was accused of sexual harassment at CBS. He was fired out the cannon and had his check cancelled.
Bill Cosby saw bars. He was convicted of sexual assault and sent to the iron college and labeled a TIER III. Downfall of America's TV Dad.
Kimberly Guilfoyle is dating Donald Trump, Jr. Trump admits cheating on Vanessa with singer Aubrey O'Day
Sean Hannity was revealed as a client of Michael Cohen. Federal judge ordered names. Annoying agitator failed to disclose it on radio and TV.
Kevin Spacey did his creepy Frank Underwood video as the law closes in on him.

Political success. Donald Trump had a year of mishaps. But he still managed to win some of these fights. However, the Democrats took control of Congress via the House of Representatives. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is bringing a new form of progressive. She has been pushing for a Green New Deal and fighting back against right wing trolls who demonized her from the moment she won her primary. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib will be the first Muslim women to serve in Congress. Ayanna Pressley will be the first African American woman to serve in Massachusetts as a Congresswoman. Sharice Davids is the first LGBTQ lawmaker who is Native Americans and former mixed-martial arts fighter. Lauren Underwood beat a longtime Republican in a district that never voted Republican. Former Teacher of the Year recipient Jahana Hayes will be the first African American woman to serve as a Congresswoman from Connecticut. Women make up a handful of newly sworn in lawmakers in this upcoming Congress.
Trump will face new headaches in 2019.
Brett Kavanaugh was sworn in as the newest Supreme Court justice. He face a lot of backlash for allegations stemming from his days as prep student. Dr. Christine Blassy Ford came into the limelight as one of the many accusers who said that Kavanaugh and a friend raped her while she was at a party. The Republicans didn't believe her story and the right wing agitators were attacking her character and made the issue about her and not the man who could rule on rape cases.

Robert Mueller has put a handful of former Trump associates in the hot seat. Donald J. Trump is the point man to a potential scandal involving his dealings with Russian agents. He and many of his allies are facing possible criminal indictments for their role in the meddling of the 2016 U.S. election.

The key players include: Trump, Mike Pence, Paul Manafort, Michael Flynn, Michael Cohen, Roger Stone, Donald Trump, Jr., Jared Kushner, Dana Rohrabacher, Carter Page, George Papadopolous, Rick Gates, Cambridge Analytica, Natalia Veselnitskaya, Maria Butina, Jill Stein, Steve Bannon, Sam Clovis, Jerome Corsi, K.T. McFarland, Eric Prince, Rex Tillerson, Ivanka Trump, Eric Trump, Alex van der Zwann, Sean "Softball" Hannity, Julian Assange and allies of the Russian GRU are under the radar.

Some may believe that Trump green lighted a foreign country to get information on Hillary Clinton.

Trump continues to deny his involvement in this. He calls Robert Mueller and the special prosecution a "witch hunt."

Who became a political winner?

Donald Trump
Nancy Pelosi
Mitch McConnell

Political failures. Trump couldn't get the border wall. We're in a government shutdown over it. The Republicans were defeated in the House races. They managed to steal races in Florida, Georgia, Ohio and a congressional seat in North Carolina. The Republicans appointed failed candidate Martha McSally in Arizona to replace John McCain and Jon Kyl. The Republicans managed to pile on more debt in one single year thanks to the Jobs and Tax Cut Act. A Republican appointed federal judge ruled that the ACA was unconstitutional. The Democrats managed to box Trump into a corner. They keep reminding Trump said Mexico (not American taxpayers) will pay for the border wall.
The new class.
As explained earlier, George Papadopolous Michael Flynn, Paul Manafort and Michael Cohen are convicted criminals. The Mueller probe has gotten them in a lot of trouble. Stormy Daniel's lawyer Michael Avenatti is no longer in the running for president. He smacked his girlfriend around.

Fox News is turning into Trump propaganda. Many in the junk food media are fearing that Trump's attacks on them will inspire another mad bomber or mass shooter.

Who became the biggest political loser?

House Republicans Who Lost In Midterms

Senate Democrats From States Trump Carried

Now we're gearing up for 2019. Expect Donald J. Trump and Congress to clash. This government shutdown will eventually be over and we'll be covering it. We will hold Trump, the House Democrats and Senate Republicans accountable.

Expect Democrats line up a handful of candidates who want to oust Trump from the White House.

More celebrities that passed away.

More success and failures from our leaders, entertainers and community.

More controversies that ensue this country and the world. More mass shootings to make the news.

More stories about our community of Dayton, Ohio.

More activism.

On behalf of me (The Blue Light Buzz) and S.B, we thank you for reading Journal de la Reyna. We continue to move into the new year with optimism, confidence and a new sense of direction.

Elizabeth Warren Wants To Battle!

Elizabeth Warren is running for president.
Massachusetts senator is forming a presidential exploratory committee. She would make the first top-tier candidate to be considering a run for the President of the United States. She could be one of the dozens of candidates who want to take on an imbecile who has a 75% chance of winning reelection.

The far-right and Donald J. Trump are ready to pounce on her. They are already playing upon the racism and sexism that helped Trump win the White House.

Trump is LIKELY going to win reelection. But we're almost one year and 11 months away from the next general election. What could happened in 2020?

Already Fox News and Trump have launched their preemptive attacks.

Elizabeth Warren, the Democratic senator from Massachusetts is a progressive and firebrand.

But is Warren battle ready?

Do you think Elizabeth Warren ready to be president?
Code:

Yes. I believe that Elizabeth Warren is ready to take on Donald Trump. Her message of progressive economics has caught my attention. She will do fine.
No. I believe that Elizabeth Warren is not ready for primetime. She is too polarizing. The Native American heritage controversy will be the anchor that sinks her bid for president.
I have no comment on Elizabeth Warren. I want to know all the facts before I make a decision on whether to support or denounce her.
I would like to see more diverse candidates in the race for the Democratic nomination for President of The United States.

Warren made the announcement today in an email to her supporters accompanied by a video laying out the case to run for president.
he problem isn’t caused by some indisputable law of physics, like gravity. The problem isn’t that people aren’t willing to work hard. The problem starts in Washington. Our government has been bought and paid for by a bunch of billionaires and giant corporations that think they get to dictate the rules that affect everyone. Tax loopholes. Prescription drug pricing. Financial rules. Environmental protection. These companies define policies that are great for their bottom line, while good, honest people who work hard get squeezed harder every year. It’s corruption, pure and simple.
That’s not how government is supposed to work. You know it. I know it. And we know it is time to fight back.
I’m forever grateful that I got a chance to go to college for $50 a semester, a chance that opened a million doors for me. I’m grateful, and I’m determined. That’s why I fight my heart out so that everyone gets a real chance in life, a chance to build something solid, a chance to create their piece of the American dream.
CBS reports Warren's new exploratory committee allows her to start raising money, hire staff and travel to early primary states. It also makes her the first U.S. senator and first woman to take official steps toward a 2020 campaign that could eventually include nearly two dozen contenders. At least seven other senators, current and former mayors, governors, cabinet secretaries and former vice president Joe Biden are considering bids.

The 69-year-old just won her second Senate term in November. She represents Massachusetts, but was born and raised in Oklahoma. Warren taught at law schools in New Jersey, Texas and Pennsylvania before ending up at Harvard University.

With a background in bankruptcy and commercial law, she pushed for the creation of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in response to the 2008 economic collapse. In the Senate, she's been a fierce critic of top corporate executives.

In the Senate, Warren has gained national attention in Senate Banking Committee hearings for going after bank executives and government officials who are supposed to be overseeing them.

In September, Warren revealed a DNA test had found she has Native American ancestors. But the Cherokee Nation tribe denounced her move as "inappropriate and wrong." On Monday, she defended her decision.

"I have put it all out there," she said.

Warren took the test partly in response to attacks by President Trump, who often mocks her.

With 673 days to go until Election Day, other contenders are spending the final hours of 2018 talking it over with their families and interviewing potential staffers. More announcements are expected shortly after the new year.

Warren is married to Harvard law professor Bruce H. Mann. She was previously married to Jim Warren, a high school sweetheart. She has two children named Amelia and Alexander from her marriage to her previous husband.

Louis C.K. Crawled From Underneath The Rock!

Louis C.K.'s comedy gig went viral for the wrong reasons.
He might want to reconsider that comeback. Disgraced comedian made a handful of jokes that went below the belt. His comeback becomes a huge controversy.

Louis C.K. has always been a controversial comedian. He's often mocked the latest controversies he sees in the junk food media. But since the MeToo Movement, his jokes aren't funny.

Now he's facing a backlash for even crawling from underneath that rock.

CNN reports the comedian made fun of survivors of the Parkland school shooting and their effort for stricter gun control. He also joked about transgender Americans. He mocked the MeToo Movement and compare himself to being in Auschwitz.

In the audio, reportedly from a recent comedy set, the audience is heard laughing as the comedian mocks the students for testifying before Congress.

"Testify in front of Congress, these kids, what the fuck? What are you doing?" asks the man in the audio clip. "Cause you went to a high school where kids got shot, why does that mean I have to listen to you? Why does that make you interesting? You didn't get shot. You pushed some fat kid in the way and now I gotta listen to you talking?"

Seventeen teens and adults were killed in the February 14 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

Clips of the audio started popping up on social media over the weekend. James Dolce, the owner of Governor's Comedy Club in Levittown, New York, told CNN that the performance took place at his club in December.

The comedian performed six shows over 14 days at three of his clubs, Dolce said. Each show was sold out, he said.

"People love him. The crowds love him. He played to standing ovations for all six shows," Dolce said.

Dolce said he was not sure how a portion of the performance was recorded, because the club has a strict no filming or recording policy. During the performances, "there was not one bit of controversy, no one said he shouldn't be on stage," he said.

Dolce said he is not paying much attention to the backlash. "I don't get too involved with that. I'm not his producer or his agent. I'm just a comedy club owner," he said.

Will he book Louis C.K. again? "Of course. Sure. Without a doubt," Dolce said. "He'll be back. I don't know exactly when, but without a doubt."

Just last week, the comedian found himself under scrutiny after an old video surfaced that showed him using the N-word. Louis C.K. says the word in a 2011 video while joking around with fellow comedians Chris Rock and Ricky Gervais.

And in November 2017, just as the #MeToo movement was gaining steam, five women came forward with allegations of sexual harassment and abuse against the comedian. Louis C.K. acknowledged the accusations were true and apologized.

"These stories are true. At the time, I said to myself that what I did was OK because I never showed a woman my (penis) without asking first, which is also true," he said in a statement obtained by CNN at the time.

"But what I learned later in life, too late, is that when you have power over another person, asking them to look at your (penis) isn't a question. It's a predicament for them. The power I had over these women is that they admired me. And I wielded that power irresponsibly."

Louis C.K. went on to say that he is "remorseful" and has "tried to learn" from his irresponsible behavior.

Former Parkland students and entertainers slammed the comedian.

As we close out the year, we never forget the disgraced. Take for example, Mitt Romney. He was a disgraced candidate for president. He was truly an embarassing political figure. Now on January 3rd, he will be sworn in as the newest member of the U.S. Senate. He becomes a senator for the state of Utah.

So how about that?

I'm On The Phone With My Mom! Why Are You Kicking Me Out Of This Hotel?

Jermaine Massey recorded a terrible encounter with a hotel worker. He was kicked out of the hotel after being on the phone with his mother.
Say hi, Earl.

A Portland hotel manager and security officer were fired out the cannon after a man filmed them kicking him out for being on the phone.

Jermaine Massey was on the phone in the Doubletree Hotel by Hilton in downtown Portland, Oregon.

The Washington state man was forced out of the hotel by the security guard and hotel manager.

The law came and ordered Massey to leave the property.

The video was shared on Instagram.

Tonight I was racially profiled and discriminated against for taking a phone call in the lobby of my hotel room at the @doubletreepdx @doubletree. The security guard “Earl” decided that he would call the police on me, the exact reason is still unclear to me. He said that I was a safety threat to the other guests and that I was trespassing and said that I was a disturbance because I took a personal phone call from my mom in a more remote area of the lobby. The manager who actually called the cops, “Luis” actually asked me AFTER he called the cops, what happened? They already had in their minds that they didn’t want me there so I waited for the cops to show up and when they did, I explained my side of the story and they didn’t want to hear it. They asked me if I had personal items in my room (which of course I did) and asked me to go retrieve them. They told me that since the hotel requested me to leave, that if I didn’t I would be considered a trespasser and would be thrown in jail. I complied and cooperated and was not issued a refund for my room. I packed my stuff and went to another hotel. I cannot believe the level of professionalism that this hotel property had with me tonight. It is never ok to discriminate against guests for the color of their skin and to prejudge them based on your own bias against that race. Earl is a disgrace, calls himself a man but calls the Portland Police Dept on a man who was minding his own business in the lobby of his hotel. I had my hotel key in my hand the entire conversation, he knew I was a guest. He wanted to prove a point and did it in the worst way. Not really shocked that this happened but just extremely disappointed. I will be seeking justice. Believe that. @doubletree @doubletreepdx @hiltonhonors #hilton #hiltonhotels #racism #racisminamerica #racismisreal @shaunking

His postings went viral and it caught the attention of Hilton hotels. DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Portland tweeted Saturday they have "terminated the employment of the two men involved."

They said the men's actions "were inconsistent with our standards & values." The hotel didn't identify the employees.

Massey accused the hotel of racially profiling him after a security guard called police to remove him from the lobby December 22. He was staying at the hotel, and his attorneys say they want a public explanation and intend to pursue legal action, Oregon Public Broadcasting reported.

The hotel posted an apology on Twitter, saying the employees involved had been placed on leave and an investigation would be done. A day later, it said two workers were fired.

The security guard told Massey that if he could not provide a room number, he would be asked to leave. The Washington state resident left with an officer, according to a police report. Massey posted a video on social media that shows part of the interaction with the guard.
Security guard threw out a man on his phone.
General manager Paul Peralta said in a statement earlier this week that the hotel reached out to Massey to try to reach a resolution. Massey's lawyers said the hotel should publicly answer why security approached and questioned Massey and explain how, as the guard said, Massey was a threat to security.

It's the latest high-profile incident in which black people have been removed from businesses.

Last month, police in the Seattle suburb of Kirkland helped the owner of a frozen yogurt shop kick out a black man because employees said they felt uncomfortable.

Police in Philadelphia in April arrested two black men at a Starbucks coffee shop after a manager called police to say they refused to make a purchase or leave. Police, other city officials and business owners in those incidents later apologized.

Late Thread: My Favorite Albums Of 2018!

Mac Miller passed away in 2018. His music lives on.
My top albums of the 2018 season. So I didn't have enough time to conjure up a great list but I want you to know what's my favorites for the closing out of the year.

The deaths of XXXTaction and Mac Miller shocked the nation. Their deaths won't be in vein. They leave behind a great legacy of music and talent.

The rise of collaborative albums.

21 Savage, Metro Boomin', Future, Juice Wrld, Quavo, Offset, Beyonce, Kanye West, Kid Kudi and Jay-Z have released collaborative albums this year.

Eminem took down Machine Gun Kelly in a harsh diss.

Pusha T exposed Drake's personal business. He forced the Canadian rapper/singer to admit he had a son from a previous relationship.

Chris Brown continues his downward spiral. He's facing up to six months in the iron college for obtaining a primate without documentation.

Kanye West met Donald J. Trump and right wing agitator Candace Owens. Picked fights with Wiz Khalifa, Jay-Z, Drake and Snoop Dogg. Went on an epic rant at the White House and called upon the Blexit.

Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner have a child together. He will be performing at the Superbowl.

Gucci Mane's Wake Up In The Sky is Billboard's No. 1 song in the nation.

Rapper 6ix9ine is facing LIFE in the iron college for weapons violations. He is also facing state charges for criminal conspiracy to commit murder.

Aretha Franklin passed away leaving behind a legacy of music, entertainment and lots of sampled music by hip-hop and R&B.

R. Kelly is blacklisted in the music industry. There was a documentary about his creepy behavior towards underage girls.

Usher broke up with his wife Grace Miguel after allegations of him spreading a STD towards his female fans.

Cardi B broke up with Offset. The couple got secretly married and had a child this year. Allegations of the Migos frontman cheating were driving the two apart. The two performing together but leaving separately.

J. Cole, Anderson Paak, Kendrick Lamar and Meek Mill have the best albums of the year.

Lil Pump wore that block suit with Kanye West. The video, "I Love It" was parodied by many entertainers.

Rappers rallied around the campaigns of failed candidates Andrew Gillum, Stacey Abrams and Beto O'Rourke. Barack Obama is still regarded as one of the countries most popular leaders and hip-hop respects him more than Trump.

Kevin Hart's (aka Chocolate Droppa) ditched the Oscars after his old tweets about homosexuals became a controversy.

The Russian Federation is planning on regulating and punishing individuals who listen to rap music.

Anything I've messed?

Nippy Hustle - Victory Lap

Tory Lanez - Memories Don't Die

Eminem  - KAMIKAZE

Kodak Black - Dying To Live

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: Claire McCaskill Wanted To Play To The Right And Lost Big!

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez doesn't want condescending folks telling her how to run an election.
Rep-Elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) hits back at Fox News and Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO).

The New York lawmaker in waiting is a troll on social media. She responded to the outgoing lawmaker's remarks calling her a "new shiny thing."

As a woman of color, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will be the youngest to be sworn in the House of Representatives. She hasn't even took up a committee position and the right has been on this onslaught of attack.

But she hits back and I love it. I enjoy her responding to critics. She said it best, don't fuck with the Bronx. She ain't fooling around.

She also engages in progressive activism to thwart attacks from the right.

The outgoing McCaskill gave an interview to CNN this week wherein she said Republican lawmakers privately admit Donald J. Trump is "nuts," but she also made news in questioning why Ocasio-Cortez is "the thing" and "a bright and shiny new object" for Democrats.

McCaskill criticized Ocasio-Cortez's embrace of left-wing policy proposals, saying she wasn't sure "what she's done yet to generate that kind of enthusiasm," and warned the Democratic Party against pursuing an agenda considered too liberal in certain parts of the country.
Go home, Clarie.
"I don't know her," McCaskill told CNN earlier this week when asked if she'd consider Ocasio-Cortez a "crazy Democrat" like the ones she decried on the campaign trail. "I'm a little confused why she's the thing. But it's a good example of what I'm talking about -- a bright shiny new object, came out of nowhere and surprised people when she beat a very experienced congressman."

"And so she's now talked about a lot," McCaskill added. "I'm not sure what she's done yet to generate that kind of enthusiasm, but I wish her well. I hope she hangs the moon. But I hope she also realizes that the parts of the country that are rejecting the Democratic Party, like a whole lot of white working class voters, need to hear about how their work is going to be respected, and the dignity of their jobs, and how we can really stick to issues that we can actually accomplish something on."

McCaskill concluded, "The rhetoric is cheap. Getting results is a lot harder."

Quit Bringing Up Nancy Pelosi!

The right plans to blame incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) for the government shutdown.
Goodbye to 2018.

Goodbye to Paul Ryan, the former Wisconsin lawmaker who held the title of Speaker of The House. He leaves Washington, DC with a legacy.

As he returns to Janesville, the Republican can at least say to his former constituents, I changed the tax code for generations.

Oh by the way, me and Mitch McConnell piled on trillions of debt.

The Republicans still continue to hold control of Congress until January 3rd.

On the 3rd, Democrats take control of the House of Representatives.

They will now see a contiguous Donald J. Trump. The imbecile will now try to blame incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for his turmoils.

This is the second week of the partial government shutdown. Over 800,000 federal workers will not see a paycheck. And it's thanks to Trump's stupid ego and a promise he couldn't deliver.

He wants allocate $5 billion to build a border wall between the United States and Mexico. He wants the U.S. taxpayer to handle the costs and not his promise of Mexico.

Many hold Trump accountable for the government shutdown. So mainly they fault Republicans once again for putting hundreds of workers out of work.

However, you won't hear that in the right wing media bubble. All you hear is Nancy Pelosi's name in every conversation.

It's time for Republicans to focus on a new line. I mean they already ate attacking Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and she's not even sworn to public office. They constantly remind us day in and day out about how Hillary Clinton rigged an election to help Trump win.

Hold up. Why would Clinton want Trump to win?

So she can embarrass him with scandals like sleeping with Playboy actresses and porn stars.

So he can build a Trump Tower in Moscow and lift sanctions against the Russian Federation behind the back of his predecessor.

So he could advocate an agenda that goes with the loudest voices on talk radio and cable news.

Sure, blame Pelosi for the government shutdown. Blame her for the trillions of debt that the country accumulated since Trump took office. Blame her for the rise in immigrants seeking asylum. Blame for everything you've read on The Drudge Report or seen on Fox News.

The strategy is getting old.

Republicans better get a new playbook.

Cause this Pelosi bashing is getting fucking old.

Government workers need a paycheck so they can pay their rent, feed their families and purchase stuff.

With $5 billion we could fix Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, Florida, Texas and Louisiana. With that much money, we could help miners in West Virginia. We could fix the pipes in Flint, Michigan. We could help people losing their jobs at GM, Sears, Gap and Toys R Us.

Building borders won't stop illegal immigration. It will only inflame violence and alternatives.

But if Trump wants to keep a promise built on the backbones of racism, go at it.

Please keep Pelosi's name out the conversation. She's only going to hold the Speakership for at least one term.
