LAPD Looking For Ex-Cop Involved In Murder Of Monica Quan!

Cal State coach and fiance was gunned down by former cop who plotted revenge.

Tragedy out of Los Angeles. A woman and her fiance were gunned down by a man who plotted revenge on the LAPD and those who associated with them. The woman coached basketball at Cal State (Fullerton) and her fiance was a public safety officer at the University of Southern California.

We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to the families of Monica Quan and Keith Lawrence.

Also send our thoughts to those injured or killed by this deranged individual.

Okay, this is another reason for gun control. This also stirs the conservative/white supremacist bubble. Since this incident involves minorities (Black male, the shooter, the victims an Asian American woman and Black male), it's going to be another word salad of racial slurs, Obama name dropping and blaming hip-hop, rock music, and minorities.

This counts as another major issue involving firearms. When you hear more and more stories about individuals with firearms committing mass shootings, you start to realized that the time is now!

The next mass shooting could happen and you're there! And it happen to be the time you may have left your firearm at home or you didn't reach for it at the right time.

What will it take to get reasonable gun control?

Will it take a member of Congress or those involved in the NRA to be shot and killed by a deranged individual who had no business owning a firearm.
LAPD and the FBI are looking for Chris Dorner (left), a former police office and Navy Reservist who is a suspect in the shooting of Monica Quan and Keith Lawrence. The shooter also attacked LAPD officers who pursued him.
The case is making national attention and the FBI and Los Angeles Police are looking for Chris Dorner, a fired cop who shot the couple on Sunday. The couple were shot to death in a car near their apartment in Irvine.

The sad story is the woman's father is a police officer. Quan's father Randal was a former LAPD captain who tried to help Dornor from being fired.

CBS News reports that authorities are now searching for former LAPD officer and U.S. Navy reservist Christopher Dorner in connection to the killings of 28-year-old Monica Quan and 27-year-old Keith Lawrence. The couple was found shot to death in their car at Sunday night, Irvine police Chief David L. Maggard said.

Police said Dorner, 33, implicated himself in the killings with a multi-page "manifesto" that he wrote that included threats against several people, but would give no further details on the document or its contents.
Monica Quan and Keith Lawrence were gunned down by a former cop!
"We have strong cause to believe Dorner is armed and dangerous," Maggard said, adding that the LAPD and FBI are assisting in the case and anyone who sees the suspect should immediately call 911.

Dorner was with the department from 2002 until 2009, when he was fired for making false statements against another officer.

Randal Quan, who the LAPD said was the first Chinese-American captain in department history, retired in 2002. He later served as chief of police at Cal Poly Pomona and went on to practice law.

Police said Dorner's manifesto included threats against members of the LAPD.

"We are looking at the manifesto and will do an assessment in terms of the threat against those listed in it, and determine what level of protection each of them will need," Hayes said.

Police said he may be driving a blue, 2005 Nissan Titan pickup truck and his last known address was in La Palma, Calif., in northern Orange County near Fullerton.

According to court documents from October 2011, Dorner was fired from the LAPD after he made a complaint against his field training officer, Sgt. Teresa Evans. He said in the course of an arrest she kicked suspect Christopher Gettler, a schizophrenic with severe dementia.

Dorner was later fired for making false statements following an investigation.

Richard Gettler, the schizophrenic man's father, gave testimony that supported Dorner's claim. After his son was returned on July 28, 2007, Richard Gettler asked "if he had been in a fight because his face was puffy" and his son responded that he was kicked twice in the chest by a police officer, he testified.

Autopsies showed that Monica Quan and her fiancé were killed by multiple gunshot wounds in the parking structure at their condominium in Irvine, Orange County sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino said earlier Wednesday.

Lawrence was a public safety officer at the University of Southern California. The killings brought mourning and disbelief at three college campuses, Fullerton, USC, and Concordia University, where the two met when they were both students and basketball players.

It was reported that manifesto Dorner wrote targets LAPD higher ups. Fox News has the manifesto.

Dorner also attacked two other officers. He is considered armed and extremely dangerous (possibly suicidal). We will keep you informed here at Journal de la Reyna for the latest developments in this story.

Mail On Delivery!

Saturday delivery ends. The United States Postal Service ends the weekend service.

Saturdays are gone. The United States Postal Service, one of the largest civilian government agencies is planning on shaving off the day in an attempt to save the government agency from the brink of destruction.

Saturday is the weekend, right? Well in August, five days for your mail.

It doesn't stop Saturday delivery of packages.

Well the announcement comes as a surprise to the House of Representative Republicans who revealed their plan to stop the sequester. The sequester will be another last minute attempt to stop major cuts to domestic spending. Americans are bracing for another showdown between the president and Congress. The sequester is a part of a trigger that allocates defense and domestic cuts that may cost federal workers their jobs and the millions of Americans their safety nets.

The Associated Press reports that USPS chief postmaster Patrick Donahoe has exhausted all options and due to Congress inept gridlock the USPS will have no choice but to end services and cut positions.

"Our financial condition is urgent," declared Postmaster General Patrick R. Donahoe. But Congress has voted in the past to bar the idea of eliminating Saturday delivery, and his announcement immediately drew protests from some lawmakers. The plan, which is to take effect in August, also brought vigorous objections from farmers, the letter carriers' union and others.

The Postal Service, which suffered a $15.9 billion loss in the past budget year, said it expected to save $2 billion annually with the Saturday cutback. Mail such as letters and magazines would be affected. Delivery of packages of all sizes would continue six days a week.

The plan accentuates one of the agency's strong points: Package delivery has increased by 14 percent since 2010, officials say, while the delivery of letters and other mail has plummeted. Email has decreased the mailing of paper letters, but online purchases have increased package shipping, forcing the Postal Service to adjust to customers' new habits.

"Things change," Donahoe said.

James Valentine, an antiques shop owner in Toledo, wasn't too concerned about the news.

"The mail isn't that important to me anymore. I don't sit around waiting for it to come. It's a sign of the times," he said, adding, "It's not like anyone writes letters anymore."

In fact, the Postal Service has had to adapt to changing times ever since Benjamin Franklin was appointed the first postmaster general by the Continental Congress in 1775. The Pony Express began in 1860, six-day delivery started in 1863, and airmail became the mode in 1918. Twice-a-day delivery was cut to one in 1950 to save money.

But change is not the biggest factor in the agency's predicament — Congress is. The majority of the service's red ink comes from a 2006 law forcing it to pay about $5.5 billion a year into future retiree health benefits, something no other agency does. Without that payment — $11.1 billion in a two-year installment last year — and related labor expenses, the mail agency sustained an operating loss of $2.4 billion for the past fiscal year, lower than the previous year.

Congress also has stymied the service's efforts to close some post offices in small towns.

Under the new plan, mail would be delivered to homes and businesses only from Monday through Friday but would still be delivered to post office boxes on Saturdays. Post offices now open on Saturdays would remain open.

Over the past several years, the Postal Service has advocated shifting to a five-day delivery schedule for mail and packages — and it repeatedly but unsuccessfully has appealed to Congress to approve the move. An independent agency, the service gets no tax dollars for its day-to-day operations but is subject to congressional control.

The proposed change is based on what appears to be a legal loophole — and that may be a gamble. Congress has long included a ban on five-day-only delivery in its spending bills, but because the federal government is now operating under a temporary spending measure rather than an appropriations bill, Donahoe says it's the agency's interpretation that it can make the change itself.

"This is not like a 'gotcha' or anything like that," he said. The agency essentially wants Congress to keep the ban out of any new spending bill after the temporary measure expires March 27.

Might Congress try to block the idea?

"Let's see what happens," he said. "I can't speak for Congress."

Two Republican lawmakers said they had sent a letter to leaders of the House and Senate in support of the elimination of Saturday mail. It's "common-sense reform," wrote Darrell Issa of California, chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, and Tom Coburn of Oklahoma, top Republican on the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.

But Alaska Democratic Sen. Mark Begich called it "bad news for Alaskans and small business owners" who he said need timely delivery to rural areas.

Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, said she was disappointed, questioned the savings estimate and worried the loss of Saturday service might drive customers away.

"The Postal Service is the linchpin of a $1 trillion mailing and mail-related industry that employs more than 8 million Americans in fields as diverse as direct mail, printing, catalog companies, magazine and newspaper publishing and paper manufacturing," she said. "A healthy Postal Service is not just important to postal customers but also to our national economy."

She noted that the Senate last year passed a bill that would have stopped the postal service from eliminating Saturday service for at least two years and required it to try two years of aggressive cost cutting instead.

The House didn't pass a bill.

Republican House Speaker John Boehner said Wednesday, "I think trying to act in this postal area is pretty difficult. But I understand where the postal commission is coming from. They're in charge with running the post office, but yet the Congress, in its wisdom, has tied their hands every which way in order for them to actually run the post office in a revenue neutral way."

"And so Congress needs to act, there's no question about that, and I hope we'll act soon."

President Barack Obama's spokesman, Jay Carney, said the White House learned only Tuesday about the agency's decision to cut Saturday service. He said the White House is still evaluating the decision but would have preferred its own comprehensive overhaul package that failed to pass Congress last year be adopted "for the sake of a stronger future Postal Service."

The president of the National Association of Letter Carriers, Fredric Rolando, said the cutback is "a disastrous idea that would have a profoundly negative effect on the Postal Service and on millions of customers," particularly businesses, rural communities, the elderly, the disabled and others who depend on Saturday delivery for commerce and communication.

He said the maneuver by Donahoe to make the change "flouts the will of Congress, as expressed annually over the past 30 years in legislation that mandates six-day delivery."

The National Farmers Union said "impacts on rural America will be particularly harmful."

Despite that opposition, the Postal Service clearly thinks it has a majority of the American public on its side. The service's market research indicates that nearly 7 in 10 people support the switch as a way to reduce costs, Donahoe said.

He said the savings would include employee reassignment and attrition.

The agency in November reported a record annual loss of $15.9 billion for the past budget year and forecast more red ink in 2013, capping a tumultuous year in which it was forced to default on the $11 billion in retiree health benefit prepayments to avert bankruptcy.

The financial losses for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30 were more than triple the $5.1 billion loss in the previous year. Having reached its borrowing limit, the mail agency is operating with little cash on hand.

The Postal Service is in the midst of a major restructuring throughout its retail, delivery and mail processing operations. Since 2006, it has cut annual costs by about $15 billion, reduced the size of its career workforce by 193,000, or 28 percent, and has consolidated more than 200 mail processing locations, officials say.

At the DeCicco Food Market in Pelham, N.Y., where they handle the mail for all 10 of their stores, the assistant manager, Frank Torres, said they will try to adjust their routine. I'll tell you, though, the customers are pretty upset, we've been hearing them at the (checkout) registers. Some of them get mail they want on Saturday.

"You know what also, it will be strange not seeing the mailman on Saturday. Our office girls know him on a first-name basis."

Shoot!

Shooting the same and missing the target.

Wayne LaPierre went to friendly territory and still got handed his ass!

Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace is now catching flack for giving the National Rifle Asscoiation chief spokesperson a tough interview.

Last year, David Gregory and Piers Morgan were criticized by the NRA and many conservatives for giving LaPierre and Gun Owner's Association's Larry Pratt a grilling.

Here's the interview from Fox News Sunday.

The interview has combative at best. Wallace pointed out inaccuracies of the NRA's "Obama's taking your guns!" Wallace told LaPierre that the president isn't trying to ban shotguns.

LaPierre dust off his ancient playbook of talking points and stated that it's the fault of gang members, the entertainment industry, arming police officers and teachers in the schools, and statements made by politicians and entertainers. LaPierre claims the Democrats aren't focused on mental health issues (and yet he manages to attack Obamacare, a health care law that deals with mental issues). He attacks Michael Bloomberg for using his 1999 stance on universal gun control and made scenarios of chaos happening and the government taking firearms.

Chris Wallace managed to box in LaPierre on the question of having "armed security" for him! The NRA released an political attack ad hitting the president and his children for having protection.

LaPierre also managed to spin his take on the president shooting off a rifle. Quite frankly, he didn't buy it!

The NRA shouldn't be invested in politics. They should just keep their standings as trained firearm instructors and marksmen. Politics is hurting the brand. I can bet you that members of the NRA do want some form of background checks on people.

Only tone deaf members in leadership (David Keane, Ted Nugent and Wayne LaPierre) continue to keep the earplugs in while they're shooting off their mouths.

Washed Up Celebrity Victoria Jackson Says Whites Will Revolt Against Obama!

Baby face Victoria Jackson, a washed up celebrity and favorite among the Tea Party faithful.

The former Saturday Night Live comedian continues to take the Republican Party to the "Land of Stupid".

When your limelight fades you become irrelevant. And today, Victoria Jackson you're a washed up celebrity.

The former comedian turned political agitator supports the Tea Party movement.

She occasionally appears at Tea Party rallies expressing her disdain for President Barack Obama and the Democratic Party.

Her political fame came when Fox News had her on to talk about the president, former SNL writer Al Franken and how to bring Republicans into the White House.

Jackson was one of the first conservative celebrities to come out against Al Franken. Franken once appeared on SNL and wrote films. He also was political analysis, book writer, and radio host. He is currently a U.S. Senator from Minnesota.

Mediaite and Wonkette obtained some information about the washed up celebrity ranting on her personal blog about Black History Month.

She complains on her blog about the double standard! She says that "if it wasn't for the WHITE MAN, you Blacks wouldn't have a month devoted to you!"

But she's not a racist! She does have Black friends!

The piece was obtained by Wonkette and cache by Google. Read carefully with discretion!

I wrote a uke song called “White Men Are Good” and sang it at a comedy club about 4 years ago. I could feel the audience tense up. Why? Why is there a Black History Month but not a White History Month? Now, that the white race is becoming a minority in America, perhaps we need to make…say, January, White History Month.

The New York Times says, ” White births are no longer a majority in the United States.”

I’m just really tired of the white male, and especially the white conservative, Christian male being attacked in cartoons, movies, TV shows, politics, Affirmative Action, etc. It’s like in order to fix the “discrimination” problem, culture flipped the racism from “against blacks” to “against whites”. Why do we have to be “against” anyone? Aren’t we all equal?

Just for the record, white men invented rockets, space travel, airplanes, the automobile, the English language, the U.S.A., most medical advances, electricity, television, telescope, microscope, Ivy League Universities, the computer, the Internet, and on and on. I think white men should be praised and respected. White Christian Conservative Men especially, should be loved and adored. They were the backbone and originators of the greatest nation on earth. We need more of them now.

In November, 2012 The Blaze reported that Alec Baldwin tweeted, “…Obama’s re-election signaled the end of white, middle-aged Christian male dominance”.

Maybe that’s why our country is going to pot; our huge deficit, foreign attacks, crashing economy, racial and class warfare, immigration problems, bigger government, disappearing freedom, growing poverty, sky-rocketing unemployment, rancid immorality, more pregnant teens, etc. etc. – “the end of white, middle-aged Christian male dominance.” I’m just saying.

Find a white, middle-aged Christian man today and hug him. And then, encourage him and your white Christian sons to stand up, be leaders again, and save our country from the God-hating communists like Alec Baldwin and Obama.

Ukulele playing.

Here's a reason to why I hate conservatives! Note: I didn't say Republicans.

People who are trapped in the bubble of Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and The Drudge Report.

People who create websites devoted to trashing women, Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, Muslims, and even those in the LGBT community.

People who spread racial emails online and then get caught! Their excuse is that they're not like this.

People who can't accept the president shooting a rifle.

People who can't accept the president's birth certificate.

People who get riled up over the most trivial things done by the president. Whether he's eating Dijon mustard, or going on a golfing outing, to appearing on David Letterman, these people can't fathom anything he does.

People who think civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a Republican.

People who believe ALL Republicans stood for the civil rights of all Americans.

People who believe that President Barack Obama is a socialist, communist, Marxist, etc.

People who comment online with racial slurs.

People who create phony profiles of me, you and others based on spite of political, racial, or social issues.

People who spent hours a day keyboard raging over a comment they don't agree with.

Victoria Jackson and people like her are what Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal said last month. Jindal criticized Republicans for being "The Stupid Party"!

The washed up celebrity as well as many associated with the Tea Party Movement and White Supremacist bubble made the victory of President Barack Obama even more sweeter.

In less than forty years, the White male population will decrease. Non-White births (Asian, Black and Hispanic) are growing at a faster rate. The Republicans are trying to dismiss the notion they're the WHITE PEOPLE'S PARTY!

90% of their members are White. 10% of the rest are whatever you can fit into a clown car!

Fox News Serves Dick Morris His Walking Papers!

And to be quite frankly, he deserved to get fired from Fox News. After all, who would want the worst political pundit in the history of the United States?

Oh, wait he's appearing on CNN!

Isn't this a joke?

They bump off Soledad O'Brien, an actual reporter and replace her with the prostitute toe sucker who promised President Barack Obama would lose in a landslide election against perennial loser Mitt Romney!

Why conservative agitator Dick Morris was fired from Fox News?

Network spokeswoman Dana Klinghoffer said Tuesday that Fox wasn't renewing its contract with Morris, who was steadfast throughout the campaign in his prediction of a big Romney win over President Barack Obama. He has made few appearances on Fox since the election.

Morris had also been criticized for accepting paid advertisements on his website from candidates that he discussed on the air at Fox.

Please bury this person in the sand because he's washed up!

This year Fox News canned former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin and renewed Karl Rove's contract.

Karl Rove is at odds with conservatives. Rove decided to create a SuperPac to fight against Republicans who may be too extreme. Rove hasn't made many friends in the conservative media. Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin and conservative agitators on radio have went hard on the former Bush adviser.

The moderate Republicans warn that if conservative overreach continues, they'll be defeated again in the next presidential election.

President Barack Obama warned Republicans that if they continue to take marching orders from Rush Limbaugh, the National Rifle Association and Fox News, they'll be doomed for failure.

She's On Their Hit List..Pt 2: Beyonce

Football Coach Suspended For Classroom Rant Against Michelle Obama, Gays - Forbes

Football Coach Suspended For Classroom Rant Against Michelle Obama, Gays - Forbes: Only one thing is guaranteed by the 10-day suspension of Lauderdale County (Ala.) High football coach (and reigning Times-Daily of Florence, Ala., coach of the year) Bob Grisham for his racist, sexist, homophobic rant during fifth-period psychology — the town will remain divided over his treatment, as will the outside world.

Once again, bigots feel free to insult the First Lady.  Many of them deeply resent the fact the Michelle Obama is the first Black First Lady.  Sad, isn't it but I'm not surprised by the vitriol from many quarters of American society.

Todd Kincannon Mocks Trayvon Martin....

Trayvon Martin Was A "Thug" Says South Carolina Republican Activist!

The Trayvon Martin shooting isn't forgotten. Neither is the political debate over it!

One year ago, Trayvon Martin was the unarmed teenager who was gunned down by neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman. This incident touched off a national debate on racial profiling and spurred tension in the political arena.

Liberals and civil rights activists were stating that Zimmerman should have let the police handle the matter and why would he even confront a suspect if he wasn't trying to look for trouble. They protested the Sanford Police and Florida governor Rick Scott for an investigation of this.

Conservatives and White supremacists were praising Zimmerman and blasting the media. They figured that since Zimmerman was looking out for the safety of his neighborhood and Martin was the first to attack, it was justified for Zimmerman to shot and kill the teenager.

It's been a while since I've talked about the tragedy. We here at Journal de la Reyna haven't forgotten about Trayvon Martin shooting. Again, George Zimmerman is innocent until proven guilty. He was charged with second degree murder. He and his wife were also was charged with perjury for lying about how much donations they've received for defense fund.

Trayvon Martin's parents are hoping that Zimmerman is charged and found guilty.

At best I would say that Zimmerman should be charged with involuntary manslaughter. The charge should carry him at least 10 to 20 years. But that's just my opinion on the matter.

Before we go into the fold, we have the screen captures of Todd Kincannon. This jackass was tweeting around the time of the Superbowl and he managed to take a dig at Trayvon Martin. This jackass claims this it's only "joke" and these stupid liberals can't take it!

Besides there's thousands of others who managed to get into the act of "blaming the victim!" And these people are in the news! Last year, I've talked about Sean Hannity's rushing to defend Zimmerman.

I've talked about white supremacists using this a recruitment tool and are threatening the family of Martin.

I've talked about Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson sparking tensions.

I've talked about the New Black Panthers, a Black extremist group calling for "self-defense" and "a reward" for the head of George Zimmerman.

I've talked about Fox News ambulance chaser Geraldo Rivera saying that Trayvon Martin wearing a hoodie contributed to his death.

I've talked about the late Andrew Breitbart was trying to poke holes in the media's coverage. Aided by his friends Michelle Malkin and Matt Drudge, the story was pointing fingers at President Barack Obama and the Black civil rights leaders who meddled in this affair.

I've talked about the president saying that "if he had a son, he'll be like Trayvon". That statement poked the conservative and White supremacist bubble. Now anytime a Black person commits a crime or ends up in the news, these individuals online will toss a word salad using Trayvon and President Obama's name in vein.

I've talked about the situation even making it into the Republican debates. Perennial loser Mitt Romney didn't say a word about it. Perennial loser Ron Paul said the case "wasn't a slam dunk". Has been politicians Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum called the president a "race baiter" and a "snob" for injecting his opinion in the matter.

In other words, I will talk about Todd Kincannon rushing to Twitter stating that Trayvon Martin in his opinion being a "thug" and he deserving what he got.

Republicans continue to slide down that hole. The more they piss off the Black and Hispanic community the more likely they'll be energized to vote these suckers out of political office. In a state that just appointed its first Black senator, South Carolina continues to be a hotbed for racist themes.
Todd Kincannon page was hacked by a cyberstalker and they stole some of his personal pictures. They created a phony profile in response to Kincannon attacking Trayvon Martin and the Black community.
Besides radically conservative and borderline racist Jim DeMint, there were other issues that came out of this state.

Congressman Jim Clyburn (D-South Carolina) was subjected to racial slurs and offensive themes during the Civil Rights Movement and a few years ago during the healthcare debate.

Senator Tim Scott (R-South Carolina) and governor Nikki Haley were being slammed by conservatives.

Scott was previously a Congressman and he was appointed to replace DeMint. The conservatives knocked Haley for political correctness over principles.

Last year at the Republican National Convention, a South Carolina delegate made an offensive comment about a black camerawoman and threw nuts at her. He called her an animal! Another delegate went onto Facebook to make a "joke" about an escaped gorilla being a descendant of First Lady Michelle Obama.

This incident gets worse with the former GOP committee chairman doubling down and stated that it's his opinion and liberals shouldn't get "upset over the matter!"

Kincannon also says that being a conservative is a badge of honor.

Once again, this is for those slow ones in the bubble. Once you post something on the internet and it goes viral, it's there forever. That's probably why employers, government workers and sometimes family members warn others that what they do could end up making a situation worse.

The Republicans continues to have this issue with race, gender, sexuality, religion, political and economic standings. Black and Hispanics overwhelmingly voted for President Barack Obama over perennial loser Mitt Romney.

February marks the month of Whitney Houston's death and the Trayvon Martin controversy. Since their passing, conservative and White supremacists wasted no time attacking them and President Barack Obama.

The "Blacks" Made Me Write A Book!

Bethany Storro was disfigured by the wounds
Bethany Storro Lies Down Black! Wakes Up Disfigured!

THIS BITCH LIED ABOUT BEING ATTACKED BY A BLACK WOMAN THROWING ACID ON HER FACE. NOW THIS WOMAN RETURNS INTO THE SPOTLIGHT BY WRITING A BOOK!

Bethany Storro the woman who fooled the nation with a racial hoax is coming back into the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. The young woman came to the spotlight for a tragic incident. In 2010, Storro put a powerful drain cleaner chemical on her face. The chemical burned a portion of her face.

She filed a police report stated that a Black woman came up to her and threw acid on her face without explanation.

This got play on the news networks and stirred up the bee's nest! Inside the White supremacist and conservative bubble, many were pissed that a White woman was attacked by Black thugs.

According to The Huffington Post, Storro told the police that a Black woman who waving around acid told her: "Hey pretty girl, do you want to drink this?" and then the woman threw the acid on her severely burning Storro's face and upper body.

Storro's hospitalization and recovery touched millions around the world, inspiring them with her story of resilience and determination to overcome her injuries. Facebook fan pages and groups with names like "Pray for Bethany Storro" sprouted overnight, soliciting thousands of dollars in donations. An appearance on "Oprah" was scheduled.

The story didn't match up to what she told the police. When the FBI got involved and determined that the incident wasn't credible, she confessed that she made the whole thing up!

She claimed that in order to scorn a boyfriend, she would make up this story about her being attacked by another woman over her looks. She got donations from people across the nation to aid in helping her.

The chemical she put on her damaged 60% of her face and it left her permanently scarred.
Writing a book to explain how she blamed Black people for her tragic scarring. Bethany Storro managed to become one the nation's latest racial hoaxers after she faked an attack on a Black woman.
According to The Columbian, Storro was diagnosed with body dysmorphic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and depression.  She had to wear a clear compression mask 12 to 15 hours a day to help heal her skin. While being interviewed by the newspaper, Storro said her doctor has told her that it could take as long as two years, but her red skin should return to her normal color.

She said she will have scars, but once her skin has healed she will be able to wear makeup.

Storro said she described her attacker as black because she figured that police wouldn’t be able to find anyone who matched that description.

She said she's also thankful her attorney worked out a deal with Prosecutor Tony Golik to spare her from spending time in jail or having a felony record.

Coming out: Bethany Storro's new book tells the story about how she lied to the nation about chemical burns on her faceShe’s grateful for her pastor at Calvary Community Church, her family and close friends who have supported her these past seven months.

“I have awesome friends who have kept in touch with me, to make sure I’m OK,” she said.

She said that when she’s been in public, strangers have approached her but none with any unkind words.

Now that the controversy died down, she decided to make a little mula by writing a book about how her life spun out control. Bethany Storro is writing a book about the incident and how it changed her life.

The Daily Mail caught up with her last year and just recently reported that Facing The Truth is due out this year. The book will explain how her "mental illness" and need for attention led her to putting drain cleaner on her face. She explains how the legal justice system and international scorn had made here realize that "rock bottom" came and now she's ready to move on.

At age 30, Bethany Storro is now facing reality.

Many still figured that writing a book about her hoax is callous and she should have faded away like others who managed to fool the nation with racial tension.

Being a young white woman with mental issues managed to help her obtain nearly $30,000 in charity.

She had to return the money.

Storro wrote this book with co-writer Mona Kruger, a writer and burn survivor based in Portland, Oregon.

My commentary from two years ago about the woman.

Essie Mae Washington-Williams Passes Away!

Civil Rights activist Essie Mae Washington-Williams died in Columbia, South Carolina. It was confirmed by her family.

Black History Month is a part of American history. Today we learned that the "love child" of 1948 United States presidential candidate and formerly devout segregationist Strom Thurmond passed away today! It's been about 10 years since the death of the South Carolina senator who rose to fame as the southern politician who had a hate of integration and Civil Rights leaders such as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

James Strom Thurmond was born on December 5, 1902 in the Edgefield, South Carolina. He was an American politician who served for 48 years as a United States Senator. He also ran for the Presidency of the United States in 1948 as the segregationist States Rights Democratic Party (Dixiecrat) candidate, receiving 2.4% of the popular vote and 39 electoral votes. He was the 103rd governor of the state of South Carolina.

Thurmond represented South Carolina in the United States Senate from 1954 until 2003. Originally he started as a Democrat. After the Democratic Party supported the landmark Civil Rights Act, Thurmond conversion to Republican came. He switched because of his opposition to the 1964 Civil Rights Act, disaffection with the national party, and support for the conservatism of the Republican presidential candidate and Arizona Senator Barry Goldwater.

He left office as the only senator to reach the age of 100 while still in office and as the oldest-serving and longest-serving senator in U.S. history (although he was later surpassed in length of service by Robert Byrd and Daniel Inouye).

Thurmond holds the record at 14 years as the longest-serving Dean of the United States Senate in U.S. history.

In opposition to the Civil Rights Act of 1957, he conducted the longest filibuster ever by a lone senator, at 24 hours and 18 minutes in length, nonstop.

In the 1960s, he opposed the civil rights legislation of 1964 and 1965 to end segregation and enforce the voting rights of African-American citizens. He always insisted he had never been a racist, but was opposed to excessive federal authority.

He notably was quoted as saying that "all the laws of Washington and all the bayonets of the Army cannot force the Negro into our homes, into our schools, our churches and our places of recreation and amusement."

He attributed the movement for integration to Communist agitators.
Essie Mae Washington-Williams meets with people.
Starting in the 1970s, he moderated his position on race, but continued to defend his early segregationist campaigns on the basis of states' rights in the context of Southern society at the time, never fully renouncing his earlier viewpoints.

Six months after Thurmond's death in 2003, it was revealed that at age 22, he had fathered a mixed-race daughter, Essie Mae Washington-Williams, with his family's maid, Carrie Butler, a 16-year-old black girl.

Although Thurmond never publicly acknowledged Essie Mae, he paid for her education at a historically black college and passed other money to her for some time. His children by his marriage eventually acknowledged their father bore a child outside of marriage.

TPM reports that Essie Mae Washington-Williams, the biracial daughter of the former presidential candidate who ran on the segregationist platform of the Dixiecrat Party. The Dixiecrats were conservative based group of Democrats who supported Jim Crow legislation to keep separate facilities for Whites and non-White citizens.

Washington was the natural daughter of Carrie Butler, who was 16 when her daughter was born, and Strom Thurmond, then 22. Butler worked for his parents as a domestic servant. She sent her daughter from South Carolina to her older sister Mary and her husband John Henry Washington to be raised in Coatesville, Pennsylvania.

She was named Essie after another of Carrie's sisters, who fostered her briefly as an infant. Growing up, Essie Mae lived with a cousin seven years older than she, who she believed was her half-brother.

Washington was unaware of the identity of her biological parents until 1941, when she was 16, when her mother told her and took her to meet Thurmond in person.

Washington-Williams and her mother met infrequently with Thurmond after that, although they had some contact for years.

Strom Thurmond
After high school, Washington-Williams worked as a nurse at Harlem Hospital in New York City, and took a course in business education at New York University.

She did not live in the segregated South until 1942, when she started college at South Carolina State University (SCSU), a historically black college. Thurmond paid for her college education. After having grown up in Pennsylvania, Washington was shocked by the racial restrictions of the South. She graduated from SCSU around 1946 with a degree in business.

When Washington-Williams announced her family connection, it was acknowledged by the Thurmond family.

In 2004 the state legislature approved the addition of her name to the list of Thurmond children on a monument for Senator Thurmond on the South Carolina Statehouse grounds.

Washington-Williams said she would apply for membership in the United Daughters of the Confederacy, based on her heritage through Thurmond to ancestors who fought as Confederate soldiers. She encouraged other African Americans to do so as well, in the interests of exploring their heritage and promoting a more inclusive view of Southern history among lineage societies. She said,

"It is important for all Americans to have the opportunity to know and understand their bloodline. Through my father's line, I am fortunate to trace my heritage back to the birth of our nation and beyond. On my mother's side, like most African-Americans, my history is broken by the course of human events."

The lineage society is for female descendants of Confederate veterans of the American Civil War. As her father Thurmond had been a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, she could use his completed genealogical documentation of links to participating ancestor(s). She also intended to join the Daughters of the American Revolution.

In 2005, Washington-Williams was awarded an honorary Ph.D. in education from South Carolina State University at Orangeburg when she was invited to speak at their commencement ceremony. That year she had published a memoir, Dear Senator: A Memoir by the Daughter of Strom Thurmond (2005), written with William Stadiem. It explored her sense of dislocation based on her mixed heritage, as well as going to college in the segregated South after having grown up in Pennsylvania.

It was nominated for both a National Book Award and a Pulitzer Prize.

Washington-Williams said that she intended to be active on behalf of the Black Patriots Foundation, which was raising funds to build a monument on the National Mall in Washington D.C. to honor American blacks who served in the American Revolutionary War.

Her death brought forth a legacy shattered by the notion of a colorblind society. Even though Strom Thurmond legacy was marred with controversy, I guess before he had died, he had a change of heart!

He voted in favor for the national recognition of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of National Service.

He voted for the James Brady Law in which it banned semi-automatic firearms.

He went on to hire his first Black staffer in 1971.

Thurmond still supported state's rights but toned down his rhetoric in later years. He was a big contributor to Ronald Reagan's electoral victory over Jimmy Carter, the incumbent president of the late 1970s. Thurmond was friends with late senators Ted Kennedy, Daniel Inouye, and Robert Byrd.

In 2002, then U.S. Majority Leader Trent Lott, the Republican from Mississippi caused a firestorm. While he attended the birthday of Thurmond. He fell from power after praising Strom Thurmond's 1948 segregationist Dixiecrat presidential bid. Lott said: "When Strom Thurmond ran for president, we voted for him. We’re proud of it. And if the rest of the country had followed our lead, we wouldn't have had all these problems over the years, either.

That was the last controversy for Thurmond before he died later into 2003.

Essie Mae Washington-Williams didn't want to ruin her father's legacy as a decent man! She give him the opportunity to change his ways before he would have died. And today, I think her father would have been proud to have to see her help people of color succeed in America.

Today the United States has the first Black president and two members* of the United States senate who are Black. Ceiling are broken and legacies will be born!

We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to the family of Essie Mae Williams-Washington.

Sidenote:

Democrat Barack Obama is the current President of The United States. He was elected to become the president in 2008. Previously Obama was previously elected as a United States senator from Illinois. Obama successfully won reelection in 2012 and is the first Black president. He was born by an African man and American white woman.

The liberal wing of the Democratic Party continues to be at odds with the conservative wing of the party.

As we continue into modern politics, the Democrats from the South, Midwest and Mountains West are scared shitless. The conservative U.S. Senate Democrats from North Carolina, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Montana, Alaska, Nevada, Louisiana, Arkansas, Colorado, North Dakota and South Dakota are scared of the vindictive National Rifle Assocation over firearm regulations.

This week alone we have seen incidents that involved firearms. Many Americans lose their lives due to unregistered firearms in the hands of people who have mental issues.

From the comments on social networks to the guy holed up in the bunker, the gun nuts are out! The Republican, the NRA and conservatives relish in this paranoid fantasy that President Barack Obama is mounting a full-scale war against the Second Amendment.

They can't even accept the fact the president shoots a firearm. The Republicans and their conservative allies continue to waste their time and energy fighting a culture war. As the president keeps laying out traps, as expected they'll fall through them.

How many more people must lose their lives?

Is your firearm more important than your life?

How many Americans died at the hands of a gun?
