SNL Hires Sasheer Zamata!

Take the stage Ms. Zamata!

After Maya Rudolph left in 2007, SNL, one of the longest running variety sketch comedies had no Black female comedians. Maya Rudolph came on occasions to fill the spotter for Michelle Obama spoofs, but on a temporary basis.

A brief controversy brewed when the two Black comedians voiced concern about the lack of diversity in talent on the NBC program.

Now SNL made good on its word and hired Black comedian Sasheer Zamata to complete the remaining season.

SNL alum Jay Pharoah spoke out last October, saying the show needed black women in the cast, even offering up some suggestions of specific performers. Later, Kenan Thompson drew fire for saying the black women who had auditioned were never “ready” to join the cast.

Things came to a head in November when Kerry Washington hosted the show and drew self-conscious attention to the issue by playing both Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey in the same sketch.

For all its worth, we will see how Sasheer handles things. She will make a debut around the time entertainer Drake makes his appearance as guest/ musical host.

SNL is one of the most unique sketch comedies. It's been a part of Broadway and the New York scene for quite some time.

Head writer and creator Lorne Michaels did an all out search.

SNL is best known for the show's comedy sketches, which parody contemporary culture and politics and are performed by a large and varying cast of repertory and newer cast members. Each episode is hosted by a celebrity guest, who usually delivers an opening monologue and performs in sketches with the cast, and features performances by a musical guest. An episode normally begins with a cold open sketch that ends with someone breaking character and proclaiming, "Live from New York, it's Saturday Night!", beginning the show proper.

Mazaradi Fox Passes Away!

Rapper Mazaradi Fox was gunned down.

A Queens-based rapper and promoter for 50 Cent's G-Unit label was gunned down over the weekend.

We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to the family of Mazaradi Fox.

The New York Daily News reports that Jamal Green aka Mazaradi Fox, age 42 was gunned down on Friday. He was killed at Farmers Blvd. and 134th Ave. in the Jamaica neighborhood of Queens about 4:10 p.m. when the shooter rolled up to his white SUV and opened fire.

Police sources said Fox, released from prison just two weeks ago, stumbled out of the Nissan SUV and collapsed in a driveway.

Three other people in the SUV were wounded, including a 21-year-old man who was hit in the neck and shoulder and was in critical condition, police said. A second man, age 22, was wounded in the arm, and the fourth victim, a woman in her 20s — believed to be Fox’s daughter according to thisis50.com — suffered a graze wound to the neck, police said.

Paramedics rushed the survivors to Jamaica Hospital.

Mazaradi Fox short lived freedom from the iron college turned out to be worse than expected. After serving two years for an attempted assault he was sent up the river. He was also convicted of attempted murder in 1998, according to court records.
Jimmy Henchman Indicted On Murder Charges For Ordering Hit Of 50 Cent Associate
James Rosemond (aka Jimmy Henchmen) is in federal time out. Did he order a hit on Mazaradi Fox?
He was a childhood friend of 50 Cent and was affiliated with the “In Da Club” rapper’s crew G-Unit. A spokesman for 50 Cent’s record company said Fox never signed with the label.

He ultimately parted company with 50 Cent and started his own rap label, Dumout, according to thisis50.com.

"We're sorry to hear about the tragic news. Our sympathy goes out to his family and friends. Despite reports, he was never on the G-Unit record label," says a representative for G-Unit. "50 Cent was in his New York studio and was saddened when he heard the news. He sends his condolences to Mazaradi's family," said a rep for 50-Cent.

50 Cent was in his New York studio when he heard Fox was murdered.

“Saddened by the news of Mazaradi’s tragic passing,” he tweeted. “My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.”

A police source indicated the Fox slaying was possibly gang-related.

Five years ago, Fox pumped two .25-caliber bullets into Queens gangbanger Rashawn Carter, authorities said. The victim survived the shooting. Charged with attempted murder, Fox was later convicted of attempted assault and sent to prison.

In a bizarre twist, Carter was then executed in a brazen February 2010 street hit witnessed by the local precinct commander.

“What a stroke of luck,” one police source dryly observed. “The person you were trying to kill gets killed by someone else.”

A woman answering the door Saturday at Fox’s Queens home said they were mourning his violent loss.
“We miss him,” she said. “We love him.”

Fox was riding shotgun alongside his girlfriend when the shooter rolled up to his white Nissan SUV and began spraying the vehicle with bullets, cops said.

The girlfriend, who was driving, suffered a graze wound to the neck, while a 21-year-old male passenger was critically injured with bullet wounds to the neck and shoulder.

Stallmigo Sues Barack Obama!

Hypocrite sues the president over NSA. Stallmigo Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) supports the NSA.

The Kentucky stallmigo is such a nuisance. He has no legislative accomplishments and yet he, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz and Mike Lee continue to be in the headlines. Conservatives rally behind a bunch of unaccomplished legislators who get paid a 6-figure salary to bitch about how President Barack Obama going against the U.S. Constitution.

Stallmigo Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) has decided to take his fight against Obama to court. It deals with the National Security Administration. Paul claims that the NSA is spying on Americans.

This lawsuit allows the American people to join together in a grassroots manner against President Obama’s NSA with a sitting U.S. Senator at the helm. Two prior class action lawsuits were filed in June. Classes have not yet been certified in those cases.

The focus of the lawsuit will be how the NSA's actions violate the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution.

The lawsuit will target the NSA’s metadata program.
President Barack Obama does get really annoyed with Republicans. Especially when they distract the public with issues that have nothing to do with the economy.
Via Paul’s campaign website, more than 300,000 Americans have already indicated they will sign up for the suit when it is officially filed in D.C. District court. Americans can join the lawsuit by visiting Paul’s website.

The class action suit from Sen. Paul against the president comes on the heels of two different conflicting court rulings in individual suits against the NSA, with one court ruling that the NSA was within its bounds to spy on

Americans shortly after a different court ruled the NSA’s actions were unconstitutional. The conflicting decisions all but guarantee an eventual Supreme Court-level case on the matter.

He considers himself to be a Tea Party follower, who wants smaller government.

Paul has said that he identifies as both a "constitutional conservative" and a "libertarian conservative."

Since the leaking of NSA documents from Edward Snowden, the kookspiracy is all upset over this.

They want the president to be impeached over this.

I am guessing these so called American patriots are willing to sign up for Blogger, YouTube, Facebook, SnapChat, Twitter, all the online dating websites, their favorite email service, Netflix, their phone contracts and online employment agencies.

Obviously their information is tracked by the NSA when signing up for a job or looking on your favorite social networking website.

They're just paranoid over things that has nothing to do with what the NSA is doing.

It's just another example of extremism from the lunatics who are so determined to undermine President Barack Obama at every whim.

Understand it's about race. Not about the U.S. Constitution.

The Stallmigos are a bunch of right wing agitators who rose to power by being more stupider than Palin Da Ass.

Rand Paul is no patriot. He's an annoying serial agitator, just like his father!

Looking U.S. Up In Texas!

States are seeing an increase in population. The country's southern region saw rapid growth and the Midwest and Northeast seen some real decrease or stagnant growth.

The U.S. population for a time being has slowed down. The states such as Florida, Colorado, Arizona, North Carolina, Texas and Virginia gains population while Ohio, Illinois, West Virginia, Rhode Island, Pennsyslvania, Minnesota, and Michigan saw a decrease in population.
Houston population 4.3 million people.
That means that Texas will likely get three new congressional seats in the 2020 U.S. Census.

Florida is on track to surpass New York as the third most populated state.

Dallas
Ohio loses a seat and North Carolina gains a seat. Ohio the election bellweather is the state that most politicos visit during a presidential election. This state determines the outcome of American elections.

Ohio is the state that went to Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama. The winner of Ohio managed to secure a second term with exception of George H.W. Bush.

The Los Angeles Times reports that population growth in Southern and Western states, led by Texas, California and Florida, accounted for more than 80% of new residents nationwide over the last three years, surpassing the Northeast and Midwest in the demographic contest that plays a key role in determining states' political clout.

San Antonio
Population estimates are eagerly watched by state officials because the figures determine the flow of money into many federal programs and the number of seats each state receives in the House of Representatives. That number gets readjusted each decade.

The new data reinforce a trend that has seen Southern states' growth outpace that of the Northeast and Midwest. Texas, which gained four seats in the last round of congressional reapportionment, lagged behind only North Dakota and the District of Columbia in the rate of population growth since the 2010 census.

California, with 38,332,521 residents, and Texas, with 26,448,193, remain the nation's most populous states.

New York narrowly maintained its third-place spot with 19,651,127 residents, compared with Florida's 19,552,860, as of July 1. But the Sunshine State will soon surpass New York because its population is growing about three times faster, according to the census estimates, which are based on data measuring births, deaths and migration.

Austin
As a percent of population, California's growth again outpaced the national average over the last year, rising 0.9%, or 332,643 new residents, compared with 0.7% nationwide.

But in raw numbers, Texas added the most residents, 387,397.

An improving state economy in the second half of 2013 may augur faster growth in California, but Texas still has an advantage because of its energy-based economy and a population that is trending younger.

Texas is "going to keep growing a cumulative advantage in redistricting, until the oil economy turns [down] again," said Dowell Myers, a demography expert and professor at USC's Price School of Public Policy. "But California's adding jobs more rapidly now than Texas. So probably next year I would bet that California's share of the growth is up a little bit more."

North Dakota is the nation's fastest-growing state, driven by a thriving oil and gas industry. North Dakota's population stood at 723,393 on July 1, according to the census data, a 3.1% increase from 2012. Since the 2010 census, North Dakota's population has grown 7.6%, far outpacing the national rate of 2.4%.
Fort Worth
Kevin Iverson, manager of the North Dakota Census Office, says the biggest population growth has been among 19- to 34-year-olds, primarily through migration.

"The economic winds have clearly favored North Dakota," Iverson said, attributing it mainly to the energy boom but also growth in the manufacturing and agriculture sectors. "The real question begins to become, to what extent can you continue to grow?"

Population in the District of Columbia also grew at a sustained clip, rising 2.1% from 2012 to 2013 to 646,449. Utah grew the next fastest, at a rate of 1.6%, followed by Colorado and Texas at 1.5% and Nevada at 1.3%.

West Virginia and Maine saw slight population declines in the last year. Pennsylvania, New Mexico, Vermont and Illinois posted the slowest population growth, all at or near a tenth of 1 percentage point.

The national population stood at 316,128,839 on July 1, an increase of 2.3 million. But the annual growth rate nationally continues to lag behind where it was in the mid-2000s before the economic downturn.
