Again we at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to those lost in the tragic shooting in Aurora, Colorado.
We learn a little bit about the victims of the Aurora shooting. Jessica Redfield-Ghawi was a Texan girl with a passion to cover sports and had an exciting life. That was tragically taken by James Holmes, a deranged shooter who managed to kill 12 people while watching the premiere of Batman: The Dark Knight Rises.
As the names are released, people are shocked about one in particular who survived an earlier tragedy. This victim was a survivor of a Toronto mall shooting earlier this year. This young woman's death brings another painful reminder that life is innocent and this callous killer had no care for it.
Jessica Redfield-Ghawi was a 24-year old inspiring sports writer who was living in Denver with her boyfriend and his friends to watch the premiere of the The Dark Night Rises, the final Batman movie featuring Christian Bale and directed by Christian Nolan.
Jessica was full of life according to some who knew her, and wanted to live her life to the fullest.
Her earlier brush with tragedy happened only six weeks ago in Toronto, Canada. There was a mall shooting in which a gunman managed to kill two and injure three.
She managed to blog about the tragedy on her personal blog and talked about the earlier tragedy on her Twitter page.
According to the New York Daily News, Jessica was watching “The Dark Knight Rises” with a long-time friend when a gunman opened fire minutes into the midnight premiere.
She was shot twice, once in the head, her family said.
The young woman was attending the movie with a pal she had convinced to accompany her, Twitter posts show.
“Never thought I’d have to coerce a guy into seeing the midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises with me,” Ghawi wrote in the hours leading up to her death.
“Of course we’re seeing Dark Knight. Redheaded Texan spitfire, people should never argue with me. Maybe I should get in on those NHL talks...”
Her final post to a hockey writer pal reads: “MOVIE DOESN’T START FOR 20 MINUTES.”

The legendary chicken restaurant is under fire for its founder's controversial stance towards the LGBT community.
Chick-Fil-A, is an Atlanta based company that serves peanut oiled chicken tenders, grilled chicken sandwiches, milkshakes and the legendary waffle fries.
S. Truett Cathy is the founder of the restaurant. He is a fundamental Christian activist who is strongly against the notion of gay marriage in America.
His company is known to serves its food everyday except on Sunday.
According to The Politico, many Republicans praised the company for standing forth. Many LGBT and liberal activists are planning on boycotting the company. Same-sex marriage opponents cheered the Georgia chain for standing its ground and continuing to hold conservative values despite pressure from liberals and the mainstream media, while some supporters of same-sex marriage say they won’t frequent the chain because of the company president’s public comments on the issue.
The fervor over the restaurant’s politics began when Chick-Fil-A president Dan Cathy said earlier this week that Chick-Fil-A is “guilty as charged” in support of “the biblical definition of the family unit.”
“We are a family-owned business, a family-led business and we are married to our first wives,” Cathy said in an interview with Baptist Press.
Chick-Fil-A’s Christian culture has been widely discussed and panned. The chain closes on Sundays – to the chagrin of many customers – because the founder, S. Truett Cathy wanted a day to attend church and spend time with his family.
The restaurant released its own statement, which appeared aimed at mitigating a brewing political firestorm, saying that “going forward, our intent is to leave the policy debate over same-sex marriage to the government and political arena.”
“The Chick Fil-A culture and service tradition in our restaurants is to treat every person with honor, dignity and respect — regardless of their belief, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender,” the statement said.
Online, Cathy’s comments sparked a frenzied between those who supported the owner’s comments and others, who support same-sex marriage rights and called for a boycott of the restaurant chain.
And in Boston, Cathy’s comments led the city’s mayor to go so far as to say he’d fight to keep the chain out of the city, as he believes it to be at odds with Boston’s values.
“Chick-Fil-A doesn’t belong in Boston,” Thomas Menino told the Boston Herald. “You can’t have a business in the city of Boston that discriminates against a population. We’re an open city, we’re a city that’s at the forefront of inclusion.”
When you're a restaurant operating to the needs of the consumer. The backlash may have an impact on the company. Chick-Fil-A is a good establishment. I don't support the views of the company's founder. He's entitled to his opinion. I won't boycott this industry because of a few harsh words.
Eventually the tide will turn and people will finally awaken to the change of this country.
Hell, I adapted to the LGBT community. I have no problems with them.

The tragedy in Aurora, Colorado has gotten the nation in mourning. At least over a dozen people were killed in apparent shooting at the premiere of Batman: The Dark Knight Rises. There are many causalities and the number can change without notice. We at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to the families of those who were lost.

Conservatives are going to figure out that the shooter, James Holmes was a "Democrat" or "liberal". As explained earlier, I went to the websites that agitated the tragedy. The Drudge Report, Michelle Malkin (and Twitchy), WorldNetDaily, Breitbart News and The Daily Caller have mentioned this story. President Barack Obama send his condolences to the people in Aurora, Colorado. When the conservative news agitators reported this story, their readers go completely batshit! They claim that the president was insincere about this tragedy. They boast of conspiracies of President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder coming for their firearms. They have some of the most inflammatory comments saved for the shooter, but yet managed to take a dig at the president. Never a dull moment for the extreme!
Progressives will figure out the shooter was member of the Tea Party or carried views that are considered right wing extremist. We don't know if the person was a Republican! Many people who live in the apartment complex say that he was not a "friendly neighbor". That gives progressives a thought that this person is locked in the bunker strapping up for the great culture war!
I've listened to the Stephanie Miller Show fill-in hosts Chris Lavoie and John Fugelsang talk about the tragedy. They talked about Michelle Malkin making political hay about the tragedy. I've listened to the Rush Limbaugh Show fill-in host Mark Steyn talk about it. I've listen to the Sean Hannity Show and heard Hannity talk about it. They were upset that ABC News reporter Brian Ross blaming a Colorado Tea Party leader for the tragedy. Ross claimed that James Holmes, a Colorado Tea Party leader was responsible for the tragedy. ABC News retracted his statement. That had conservatives upset. Overall each of them have a different take on this.
Each of them were willing to fault the political affiliations and overheated rhetoric for this tragedy.
Of course, we got to figure out that President Barack Obama and the Republicans will be blamed for this automatically. The public will either blame the president or the Republicans for not controlling the incident accordingly.
I know this will be the rally call for the National Rifle Association. They'll make it a fundraising issue. They will claim that President Barack Obama and his allies in the progressive movement are working behind the scenes to take away the freedom to own firearms. They'll rally conservative white males to donate to the Republican Party or their organization. The National Rifle Association has been a huge motivator in riling up gun owners and it will continue to do so, even in a tragedy.

I don't want to point fingers at the Republicans and their allies in the conservative movement. But the rhetoric they've expressed during the presidency of Barack Obama, has been the boiling point for the irrational individual.
Many state legislators have advocated laws that allow firearms in public establishments such as bars, restaurants, libraries and even the church.
As a concealed carry firearm owner, I express my opinion in a simple term of endearment: What we say, do, or even think could have consequences.
A bullet has no eyes and it will always hit a target. Whether its property, an animal, or a human being, it's going to hit. If you're a human being, it's a life altering experience.
There's nothing worse than having a family member informed that they've lost an individual to a gun.
Again, I don't want to say that this gentleman, 24 year old James Holmes is a Republican or Democrat. That's not important. What I can say about this gentleman is simple: His obsession with firearms should have triggered law enforcement.
We have to make a decision when it comes to owning firearms. When do you use it?
I am certain that the political aspects will be focused on gun control. But don't count on the Democratic Party nor the Republican Party to find compromise.
Republicans will never agree on firearm restrictions. Even the moderates in the Republican Party fear the outcome if the NRA gets voters motivated. Democrats are likely more fearful of the NRA. Conservative Democrats who own firearms will look the other way while their Republican allies sign away laws that loosen restrictions on firearms.
And I've said it before and I'll say it again!

These people scream at the top of their lungs wanting control over us, but never control over them.
This tragedy has an effect. The rise of extremism. Another White lone wolf domestic terrorist. It doesn't matter if he's a Democrat or Republican, if he was politically conservative, he harbored views that contributed to this tragedy.

Indiana Republicans at the Delaware County Fair in Muncie have displayed a Obama punching bag at one of their booths.
The Washington Post reports that the punching bag depicting President Barack Obama as a boxer with a black eye has been removed from the Republican Party tent at an Indiana fair after some fairgoers complained.
Delaware County GOP spokesman Tom Bennington thinks the bag was placed outside the tent by party leaders. It was displayed at various times Monday through Wednesday at the fair in Muncie, about 50 miles northeast of Indianapolis. He says the bag was “meant in fun” to illustrate that Republicans hope to defeat Obama in November. But says he found it “mildly offensive” because of how it portrayed the military’s commander in chief. It was removed after fair visitors — including at least one Republican — voiced concerns. This once again gives the notion that extremism is on the rise, and the Republican Party and its allies in the conservative media advocate this type of nonsense in the name of these stupid culture wars!
Dubbed the "Queen of Soul Food", Sylvia Woods passed away after complications of Alzheimer's disease.
I could remember that four years ago, Bill O'Reilly once said on his old radio program, "Hey, M-fer! I want more ice tea!" He made that comment about how unruly Black patrons act in restaurants. Black conservative commentator Juan Williams defended his comments and claimed that "the media" was blacklisting O'Reilly for his comments. If O'Reilly was blacklisted, why is he still on television?
That infamous comment from the conservative agitator came after he and now MSNBC commentator Al Sharpton were attending the Harlem restaurant Sylvia's. At first, O'Reilly was expressing his concerns about attending a Black restaurant but realized that the historic eating establishment was more than some run of the mill shack.
The reason why I bring this up is the fact that the owner of the famed restaurant had died.
According to CNN and the liberal agitating website, Newser, Sylvia Woods, known internationally as the "Queen of Soul Food," died Thursday, according to a statement issued by her family. She was 86. "Sylvia gallantly battled Alzheimer's for the past several years, but never once lost her loving smile," her family said. She died peacefully, surrounded by loved ones at her Westchester home. Woods' world-renowned Harlem establishment, Sylvia's, has drawn celebrities, politicians, tourists and locals alike to enjoy its famed soul food for more than 50 years. Woods and her husband, Herbert, opened the Lenox Avenue restaurant in 1962, featuring Southern cooking staples like cornbread, collard greens and fried chicken. "We lost a legend today," New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg said in a statement. "For more than 50 years, New Yorkers have enjoyed Sylvia's and visitors have flocked to Harlem to get a table. In her words, the food was made with 'a whole lot of love' and generations of family and friends have come together at what became a New York institution." Following the success of her restaurant, Woods and her family developed Sylvia's Catering Corp. and a nationwide line of Sylvia's Food Products. Woods also penned two celebrated cookbooks, "Sylvia's Family Soul Food Cookbook: From Hemingway, South Carolina, To Harlem" and "Sylvia's Soul Food." Woods announced her retirement from her soul food empire on her 80th birthday, her family said, passing the torch to her children and grandchildren.

Many waited for the opportunity to be the first to view the hit movie. A callous human being decided to channel his rage into a deadly incident.
The Colorado State Police, Aurora Police and the FBI are working this case.
President Barack Obama released a statement condemning the shooter and praying for victims of this incident.
One suspect was arrested. Details haven't emerged on who the person is, but we'll keep an eye on it.
The rise of domestic terrorism in the United States. A disturbed individual can be riled up by the angry voices of conservative talk radio, the internet, word of mouth and of course a domestic dispute. It will drive an individual to violence.
Already, I've read comment sections linked through The Drudge Report, Huffington Post and Michelle Malkin's website. The comments from conservatives are disgusting and callous at best. They're blaming President Barack Obama for this tragedy and his call to prayer for the victims. What a shame!

Damn him. Damn this George Zimmerman. What a total fool! Again we at Journal de la Reyna want a fair trial. We want to see justice served to this reckless man! We want to see this gentleman found guilty in the murder of unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin.
I also damn that stupid agitating rabble rousing moron! This conservative agitating idiot Sean Hannity and that awfully dumb George Zimmerman. That fool goes on Fox News Channel to give his side of the story. Of course, he going to taint his case!
Sean Hannity was granted an exclusive interview with the shooter of Trayvon Martin. Zimmerman claims that the teenager instigated the conflict and blasted the media for portraying him as a "bad guy!" Mediaite has the controversial interview. Assured that Trayvon Martin's family is upset and they hope that this interview will be used against him in the upcoming trial. Sean Hannity's involvement in this case will jeopardize everything! It's a shame that he can't stay out of this! I seriously believe that Sean Hannity will involuntarily help President Barack Obama win reelection.
Why?
Because he's so obsessed with trying to defend the indefensible. If Satan was a Republican caught in a sex scandal, Hannity would blame the liberals for making Satan look like a pervert. Hannity would compare every freaking generic sex scandal to Bill Clinton, John Edwards and Eliot Spitzer. He thinks that if these men did it,the "liberal" media would give them a pass and not Satan!
Zimmerman described how he first noticed Martin as a suspicious presence in the neighborhood, the 911 call he made, and the violent confrontation between the two that led Zimmerman to pull out his gun and shoot Martin in self-defense, as he claims.
Zimmerman said he carried a gun around everywhere except for when he went to work. Hannity asked Zimmerman why he thought Martin looked suspicious. Zimmerman said he got a strange vibe from Martin that set off alarm bells in his head, and when he made the 911 call, he was concerned about Martin’s “confrontational” demeanor, but he didn’t feel very threatened at first. He explained that he was following Martin so that he could update the police on the situation, not because he wanted to personally track him down.
This is a terrible situation and George Zimmerman made things worse by an interview with this conservative agitator. People already accused Sean Hannity of meddling in this case by offering to pay for Zimmerman's legal defense. Hannity has already bashed the attorney representing Trayvon Martin and accused the teenager of being the instigator. Hannity thinks this was an "accident" and that the media is rushing to judgement!
No. What would happen if this was the other way around. Say if Trayvon Martin had the firearm and he was the neighborhood watch volunteer. He saw a White male walking in a hoodie in the rain acting "suspiciously". If he was to get into a confrontation with this person and ended up shooting him, they would have arrested him and charge him with murder.
