Gunned down before he took off. Camoflauge left behind a legacy. |
Jason Akeil Johnson, 21 was gunned down in cold blood in front of a Savannah, Georgia studio while playing with his son. It was an apparent revenge killing after Johnson was acquitted of murder. The death of 17 year old Kenneth Capers lead to a targeted attack.
The local police department determined that the shooting was the result of a drug deal gone bad. Camoflauge was allegedly a known drug dealer, and he had had an altercation in which he was accused of stealing from his drug supplier, and in turn of selling cocaine to a minor of 15 years, a sale which resulted in an overdose.
The suspects in the killing, Dorin Orr, Tomorris Geiger, Desmond Welks, and Stephen Edwards, were put on trial starting March 10, 2004, but were subsequently acquitted due to lack of evidence. No other suspect has ever been arrested, but people in the documentary "Camoflauge" say that the people of Savannah's black community know who did it but are afraid to come forward for fear they will also be killed. No one in the documentary says the murder had anything to do with drugs; instead, they say, it was about envy of Camoflauge's talent and impending success.
South Carolina Ladies Gamecocks basketball had to ice an arena DJ after she played Camoflauge's music to troll Louisiana State University Ladies Tigers Guard Flau'jae Johnson.

Flau’jae Johnson is considered a top pick in the WNBA. |
No. 2 South Carolina topped No. 5 LSU, 66-56, on Friday night. The Gamecocks’ win ended the Tigers’ undefeated streak to start the season.
South Carolina’s official DJ, DJ T.O., played the instrumental version of Camoflauge’s "Cut Friends."
DJ T.O. reshared someone’s post about the song on Instagram and wrote "My bad" with a cry-laughing emoji.
"I’ll take my L on the chin, but this just nasty behavior. Nun funny bout that," Johnson wrote on Saturday.

Flau’jae with her idol Lil Wayne. They collaborated on her debut mixtape. |
"We are addressing Friday night’s inappropriate in-game song selection and subsequent Instagram post by the DJ who is hired to work our women’s basketball games," the school said. "Her actions were understandably upsetting to Flau’jae Johnson and her family and disrespectful to the LSU program and fans. Conference rivalries and passionate fan bases should only serve to enhance sports, not be used to target individual players personally.
"We regret that it came to that in our venue after a game that saw both teams capture the level of national attention that women’s basketball has earned and we apologize to Flau’jae, her family and LSU.
"As a result of her actions, DJ T.O. will be suspended for the next women’s basketball home game, and we will meet with her to provide further education on our expectations of her in the future."

The Anti-Defamation League is not a reliable organization for civil rights. It is a foreign operation working on behalf of the apartheid ethnostate of Israel. |
That's why TikTok exists. It was an alternative to the bullshit that CNN, MSNBC, NewsNation and Fox peddled. I am so furious that Trump colluded with Israel to prelong the genocide. I am furious at Biden for stifling free speech by signing a law banning TikTok. The U.S. is downsliding and it's thanks to our support of old men who are completely out of touch.
Could you name one damn thing Israel's done for the United States?
The Israeli government through its proxies are trying to sway American lawmakers into criminalizing criticism of its actions to antisemitism.
Hamas is not raping women and there is no proof they done such a horrible act. It is part of the dehumanizing campaign Israel is promoting to influencers in the West. You see it when they are constantly deflecting from the images of Gaza being destroyed by American and European sponsored Israeli weapons. In their minds, they are justifying the brutal slaughter of children, men, women, journalists and doctors as collateral damage.
Hamas stated the reasons for the attack on occupation forces. It has nothing to do with the Jewish religion or Iran.

The old man's return is a continuation of America's downfall. |
Let them know that "thoughts and prayers," "hearts going to", "illegal immigrants" and "good guys with guns" are no longer acceptable and you want legislation to focus on ending gun violence, lowering costs, improving healthcare and building relationships with other nations. Let them know that we are tired of police officers using immunity when committing death of suspects in custody. Let them know that you are tired of private equity firms getting away with destroying small businesses and long established companies. Let them know that you are tired of your taxpayer money going to foreign nations like Israel. You are tired of hearing about "Israel having a right to..." and the bogus claims of being anti-Semitic or in support of terrorism.
We have bigger issues at home and our tax dollars should solve the housing crisis, lowering food prices, fixing roads, bridges, helping reinvest in struggling urban and rural communities. We have hospitals closing, big box retailers leaving communities and television programs dying. There are bigger issues in the country than Israel. You want an immediate ceasefire and accountability for war crimes done by Israel. You want no more foreign influence in American elections. You also want to make sure future presidents and legislators avoid influence from lobbyists.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. This is the leader of America's Armed Forces. An embarrassment that will lead us into more embarrassments. |
Secretary of Defense replaces a blood thirsty Lloyd Austin with an even more blood thirsty and sexual predatory Pete Hegseth.
The U.S. Senate managed to confirm the controversial former Fox personality who has a reputation of sexual abuse, military war crimes and inflammatory rhetoric.
Vice President JD Vance had to break a tie.
51-50.
Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) and Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) voted against the confirmation. The 45 Democrats and two independents voted against the confirmation.
Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA), a military sexual assault survivor and the potential swing vote decide to confirm him because she is afraid of a primary challenge.
Hegseth was sworn in Saturday as the nation’s 29th secretary of defense, quickly joining President Trump’s Cabinet after a dramatic late-night vote in the Senate installed him as the Pentagon’s leader.
Hegseth took the oath from Vance in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building with Hegseth’s wife, Jennifer Rauchet, at his side and Republican senators looking on. The ceremony came less than 12 hours after Vance broke a 50-50 tie in the Senate to narrowly seal Hegseth’s confirmation.
In brief remarks, Hegseth outlined what he said were his guiding principles: “Restore the warrior ethos in everything that we do, rebuild our military and reestablish deterrence.”
“We don’t want to fight wars,” he added. “We want to deter them … and we want to end them responsibly. But if we need to fight them, we’re going to bring overwhelming and decisive force to close with and destroy the enemy and bring our boys home.”
He thanked Vance for his tiebreaking vote and joked that his children were happy their father “won in overtime.”
“It is the honor of a lifetime, sir, to serve under you,” Hegseth said, in thanking Trump, who was in Las Vegas on Saturday.
Later, in a emailed message to the American military, he said “we will remain the strongest and most lethal force in the world” and he singled out the needs “to deter aggression in the Indo-Pacific by Communist China ... and reorient to key threats. We will stand by our allies — and our enemies are on notice.”
The unusually narrow confirmation for a defense secretary came after questions from members in both parties over Hegseth’s qualifications to lead the military, especially amid allegations of heavy alcohol use and aggressive behavior toward women.
For Hegseth, the challenges ahead are steep, as he takes charge of a sprawling bureaucracy at a time of severe challenges around the globe.
He enters office with far less experience than modern defense secretaries before him, acknowledging during his confirmation hearing that he’ll need to build an experienced team as he settles into the job. “I want smarter and more capable people around me than me, and you will get that at the department,” he said in his testimony.

Vance swears in Hegseth today. |
Adding to the acrimony, Hegseth refused to meet with any Democrats before confirmation, breaking from tradition.
Rarely has a Cabinet nominee faced such wide-ranging concerns about his experience — having been a combat veteran, veterans advocate and Fox News host — as well as behavior as Hegseth, particularly for such a high-profile role atop the U.S. military.
But the Republican-led Senate was determined to confirm Hegseth and round out Trump’s top national security team.
Democrats, the minority in the Senate, had helped confirm Secretary of State Marco Rubio and CIA Director John Ratcliffe in bipartisan votes. But they fiercely opposed Hegseth, with even the top Democrat on the Armed Services Committee refusing to support him.
Hegseth also lacks the broad bipartisan support that most have brought to the role. Every Senate Democrat voted against Hegseth’s confirmation, as did three Republicans deeply skeptical of his qualifications for the job.

Reacting to the vote, Senate Democratic leader Charles Schumer of New York said Republicans have “entrusted the most powerful military in the world to someone with no experience, terrible judgment and serious flaws of character.”
“I hope for the sake of our troops and the good of our country that he can eventually grow into the job,” Schumer said on the Senate floor.
Hegseth faced allegations that he sexually assaulted a woman at a Republican conference in California, though he has denied the claims and said the encounter was consensual. He later paid $50,000 to the woman.
Hegseth also had promised during his confirmation hearings that he would not drink while on the job, were he to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, his opposition to women in combat became an issue after Trump announced his choice in November. But, in the face of questions from Congress, Hegseth appeared to shifted.
Asked about the issue on the “Megyn Kelly Show” in early December, Hegseth said he cares only that military standards are maintained. Women serve in combat, he said, and, “if we have the right standard and women meet that standard, roger. Let’s go.”
Hegseth told senators that he supports women in the military but wants to review standards to make sure they are not lowered to accommodate women.
At the swearing-in ceremony, a question directed to Hegseth about why women in the armed services should trust him was answered by Vance.
“All people in our armed services should trust him because he looks out for them and he is going to fight for them,” Vance said.

It has broke the status quo of mainstream news and social media.
It is the No. 1 app in the U.S.
Israel and the United States are trying desperately to ban it.
President Donald J. Trump extended the deadline to force U.S. companies to purchase TikTok from ByteDance. It is back online but there were some controversial changes. Some have complained that any mentions of "Free Palestine" are removed.
Folks believe it was an op when it shutdown for 24 hours.
Trump and TikTok U.S. CEO Shou Zi Chew had a private meeting at Mar-a-Lago.
Trump in the beginning wanted to ban the app claiming it was a "national security" risk. He did an executive order that was knocked down in federal court.
It was an act of Congress to do something. In 2024, former president Joe Biden signed the law to force TikTok to divest or be banned. It cost him his reelection and former vice president Kamala Harris her election.
Chew got pretty cozy with Trump. He also appeared with Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos at the second inauguration. Republicans were not happy about Trump backing TikTok. However, they're not concerned about it now that they have control of 27 states, the U.S. Senate, the House and White House.
Chew personally thanked Trump for keeping TikTok online. The app is still blocked from newer model devices (for now). The U.S. Congress is by far the worst.
John Thune, Chuck Schumer, Mike Johnson, Hakeem Jeffries, Vice President JD Vance all have low job approval. Congress has a job approval of 34%.
Trump has a job approval of 46%.
More younger people and Black content creators know more about the world than watch they see on television or other social media outlets.
Facebook makes you jealous of others.
X makes you hate more.
YouTube doesn't show you everything.
CNN, MSNBC, FOX, NewsNation, CBS, ABC, NBC and local news are fucked up.
Even in Ohio and other states, you don't hear much about missing women of color unless its a local news story.
I didn't even know about women of color gone missing. All I heard about on mainstream social media are those Israeli female settlers and soliders released because of charade of a ceasefire. Israel has violated the ceasefire and are still conducting indiscriminate attacks on several sovereignties.
Those released are foreign nationals who hold Israeli citizenship. So that includes Americans who serve in the IDF but were captured. The U.S. media are given a press release from Israel stating the captured are girls and not soliders.
The junk food media gives the perception that Hamas is intentionally taking women for sex.
Israeli forces have raped, maimed, tortured and sodomized men, women and children. The Israelis defend this. They use dogs and tasers on people.

The plight of Palestinians and the plight of Black women. One in the same or just a coincidence?
The white Israeli women are more important to the U.S. junk food media than American women who are Black, Indigenous, poor or coming from a troubled upbringing.
The names of people who were local news stories. No national news coverage.
