A man who deserved a honor.

I rather honor George Floyd. He was a victim of state violence. His death was a result of U.S. policing and its controversial partnership with the apartheid ethnostate of Israel.

This was a lynching on camera. Had there not be a young woman Darnella Frazier filming this, the world would never known how brutal our country is towards civilians.

He deserves the honor. 

As expected, President Donald J. Trump awards the Presidential Medal of Freedom to person who viewed Americans as a villain instead of a melting pot of individuals.

So I will say this again.

He is the most annoying dead person to ever live.

Charlie Kirk.

Charlie Kirk's widow and these minions are trying to whitewash the infamy.

They are stalking historically Black colleges and universities. They are infiltrating comedy shows. They are snitching on teachers and public workers. They claim baristas at Starbucks are writing offensive things on cups mocking Kirk's assassination. They are confronting Democratic lawmakers to complain sbout why they won't condemn the rhetoric of the left.

Why does MAGA got to bother Black Americans?

They are trying to deflect from Donald Trump's failures as president.

They are trying to gas up white extremists to commit unspeakable acts on Black Americans.

The Trump administration has revoked the visas of six foreigners deemed by U.S. officials to have made derisive comments or made light of the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk last month.

The State Department said Tuesday it had determined the foreigners should lose their visas after reviewing their online social media posts and clips about Kirk, who was an activist who inspired a generation of young conservatives and helped push the nation’s politics further to the right. Kirk was killed last month during an event at a university in Utah.

Others have lost jobs or were otherwise disciplined over their comments about Kirk, raising free speech concerns.

The announcement came as President Donald Trump was posthumously awarding him America’s highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Trump on Tuesday posthumously awarded America’s highest civilian honor to Kirk, the assassinated white nationalist who inspired a generation of young extremists and helped push the nation’s politics further to the right.

Receiving the award on Kirk’s behalf was his widow, Erika. Her voice cracking and often falling to a whisper as she wiped away tears, Erika Kirk talked about her late husband’s life, political beliefs and legacy.

Again, she doesn't sound genuine or authentic. She acts scripted.

“Thank you, Mr. President, for honoring my husband, in such a profound and meaningful way. And thank you for making this event a priority,” she said. “Your support of our family and the work that Charlie devoted his life to will be something I cherish forever.”

The ceremony coincided with what would have been Kirk’s 32nd birthday. It came about a month after the Turning Point USA founder was fatally shot while speaking to a crowd at Utah Valley University.

In a sign of Kirk’s close ties to the administration, he was the first recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom in Trump’s second term. The president also spoke at Kirk’s funeral in September, calling him a “great American hero” and “martyr” for freedom, while Vice President JD Vance accompanied his body home to Arizona on Air Force Two along with Erika Kirk.

“We’re here to honor and remember a fearless warrior for liberty, beloved leader who galvanized the next generation like nobody I’ve ever seen before, and an American patriot of the deepest conviction, the finest quality and the highest caliber,” Trump said during the medal ceremony.

Of Kirk’s killing, the president said, “He was assassinated in the prime of his life for boldly speaking the truth, for living his faith and relentless fighting for a better and stronger America.”

The Presidential Medal of Freedom was established by President John F. Kennedy in 1963 for individuals making exceptional contributions “to the security or national interests of the United States, world peace, cultural or other significant public or private endeavors.”

Trump returned to the U.S. in the pre-dawn hours Tuesday after a whirlwind trip to Israel and Egypt to celebrate a ceasefire agreement in Israel’s war with Hamas in Gaza that his administration was instrumental in brokering. The president joked that he almost requested to reschedule the ceremony because of the trip.

“I raced back halfway around the globe,” Trump said. “I was going to call Erika and say, ‘Erika, could you maybe move it to Friday?’ And I didn’t have the courage to call. But you know why I didn’t call? Because I heard today was Charlie’s birthday.”

Argentine President Javier Milei, who had been visiting with the president at the White House earlier, stayed on to attend the ceremony.

Trump has awarded a string of presidential medals going back to his first term, including to golf legend sexual adulterer and sexual deviant Tiger Woods. The ex-football coach and racist Lou Holtz. The conservative economist and sexist Arthur Laffer. The Yankees Hall of Fame closer sexual predator Mariano Rivera. The sexual deviant, drug addicted, bigoted conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh.  These individuals came during the 2020 State of the Union. He awarded posthumous medals to racist Babe Ruth and the culture vulture sexual predator Elvis Presley.

This term, Trump has also announced his intentions to award the medals to defaming slanderer sexual predator Rudy Giuliani, the former New York City mayor and a close former adviser. He will honor neurosurgeon token buffoon, Ben Carson, who served as Trump’s first-term secretary of Housing and Urban Development.

Kirk co-founded Turning Point USA in 2012 and Trump praised him as one of the key reasons he was reelected last year.

But Kirk’s politics were also often divisive. He sharply criticized gay and transgender rights while inflaming racial tensions. Kirk also repeated Trump’s false claims that former Vice President Kamala Harris was responsible for policies that encouraged immigrants to come to the U.S. illegally and called George Floyd, a Black man whose killing by a Minneapolis police officer sparked a national debate over racial injustice, a “scumbag.”

As Tuesday’s ceremony was underway, the Trump administration said it had revoked the visas of six foreigners who U.S. officials deemed had made derisive or mocking comments about Kirk’s assassination. The six who had their visas revoked were from Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Mexico, Paraguay and South Africa.

The move comes as the Trump administration and its supporters have zeroed in on people who made critical comments about Kirk, leading to firings and other discipline.

Trump wrote in a social media post hours before it started that he was moving the ceremony from the White House’s East Room to the Rose Garden to accommodate a crowd he said would be “so big and enthusiastic.”

Trump paved over the grass there and put in a patio area, and talked happily about the medal ceremony being one of the first major events in the new space. He noted how the weather had cleared up after it was expected to be raining, saying: “I was telling Erika, God was watching. And he didn’t want that for Charlie.”

Kirk’s widow said she asked their 3-year-old daughter what she might have given her father for his birthday, and she responded a stuffed animal and a cupcake while saying he hoped he’d get a birthday surprise. Erika Kirk said her husband was sometimes hard to buy presents for, but the medal was the perfect gift.

Erika Kirk said her husband might one day have run for president “but not out of ambition. He would only have done it if that was something that he believed that his country needed from his servant’s heart.”

She said God began a “mighty work” through her husband, and she intends to see it through. She finished her remarks by saying Charlie’s story reminds us that “to live free is the greatest gift but to die free is the greatest victory.”

Y'all voted for chaos and you got it. Black Americans who didn't vote for President Donald J. Trump are keeping our heads down and not trying to get involved in the noise.

Republicans bank on culture wars as well as divide and conquer. They are worthless even in power. With majorities in Congress, the White House and state governments, they still ruin everything for an imaginary sky deity. D'Angelo Passed Away!

Months after Angie Stone's death, news comes in about her former romantic partner and son's father D'Angelo passing away.

Months after the tragic death of R&B legend Angie Stone, the father of her son, R&B legend D'Angelo has passed away at the age of 51.

If you're a 1990s fan of Neo Soul and smooth R&B or a young girl or boy who fantasizes a built Black singer who shooked the world performing a hit single in the nude, you heard of D'Angelo.

Matter of fact, I like most Black men were jealous of him. He had girls swarming him like bees to honey.

Even one rapper wanted to imitate the iconic video.

Anyway, women "were lovin" Brown Sugar. It was a dedication to his former romantic partner Angie Stone.

Stone died in March in Montgomery, Alabama after her tour bus veered into the median flipping it onto Interstate 65, killing her. She was 63.

My days growing up. I had numerous dates but only a few relationships.

I had dated a woman who was a huge fan of D'Angelo at the time. She would literally.... I don't want to get to explicit in how to say this but she melted when she saw him on television. She had paid $500 for a concert in Chicago. 

He has passed away from cancer.

He passed away from pancreatic cancer. His family confirmed that he had been battling the illness for a prolonged period.

Son, Michael Archer II (Swayvo Twain) is pretty devastated along with his half siblings.

The singer, whose real name was Michael Eugene Archer, died Tuesday after a long bout with cancer, his family said in a statement.

It called him “a shining star of our family and has dimmed his light for us in this life,” adding that they are “eternally grateful for the legacy of extraordinarily moving music he leaves behind.”

In his music, D’Angelo blended hip-hop grit, emphatic soul and gospel-rooted emotion into a sound that helped spearhead the neo-soul movement of the 1990s. Earlier this year, the Virginia native celebrated the 30th anniversary of his debut studio album “Brown Sugar,” a platinum-selling offering that produced signature hits like “Lady” and the title track. The 1995 album earned him multiple Grammy nominations and cemented him as one of R&B’s most original new voices.

D’Angelo’s sultry vocal style — a mix of raspy texture and church-bred fluidity — set him apart from his peers. That voice became inseparable from the striking visuals of his 2000 single “Untitled (How Does It Feel).” The minimalist, shirtless music video became a cultural touchstone, igniting conversations around artistry, sexuality and vulnerability in Black male representation. The song earned him a Grammy for best male R&B vocal performance and propelled his sophomore album “Voodoo,” topping the Billboard 200 chart and winning the Grammy for best R&B album.

With an idiosyncratic spirit not unlike Prince, D’Angelo’s devotion was always to the craft — not the machinery around it. In a 2000 interview with The Associated Press, he spoke candidly about the cost of chasing commercial success.

A legend in his name.

“(Musicians) have gotten trapped into that mode of thinking marketable and commercial. That destroys art, that destroys the essence of what it is about,” he said. “You cannot, you cannot work like that. You cannot make music like that. That’s not what this is about.”

That same year, D’Angelo reflected on his need for solitude amid fame: “I used to hang out a lot, but now I’ve become more of a recluse,” he told AP. “I long for just peace and silence.”

Beyond his own catalog, D’Angelo’s artistry shined in collaborations. He memorably duetted with Lauryn Hill on the soulful ballad “Nothing Even Matters,” a highlight of her landmark 1998 album “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.” He also contributed to The Roots’ 1996 album “Illadelph Halflife” and was part of the supergroup Black Men United, which yielded one song: “U Will Know,” which D’Angelo wrote and co-produced, for the film “Jason’s Lyric” in 1994.

Stone contributed to the album and later collaborated with him on “Everyday,” a song from her 1999 debut album, “Black Diamond.”

Stone once described D’Angelo as her “musical soul mate,” to the AP in 1999, adding that their working relationship was “’like milk and cereal …. Musically, it was magic. It’s something that I have not been able to do with any other producer or musician.” They had a son together, the artist Swayvo Twain, born Michael Archer Jr.

D’Angelo also has a daughter, Imani Archer, who is also a music artist.

In the years that followed, D’Angelo’s life became as defined by absence as by acclaim. After “Voodoo,” he withdrew from the spotlight for more than a decade, fueling speculation about personal struggles and creative battles. His long-awaited return came in 2014 with “Black Messiah,” credited to D’Angelo and The Vanguard. The urgent and politically charged album that arrived amid nationwide protests and helped usher in a wave of activist music responding to police killings of Black Americans and the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement.

The album debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart and won him a Grammy for best R&B album, reaffirming his stature as a generational voice. Its standout single, “Really Love,” earned him another Grammy for best R&B song and earned a nomination for record of the year.

In May, D’Angelo withdrew from being a headliner for the 2025 Roots Picnic in Philadelphia due to “an unforeseen medical delay regarding surgery (he) had earlier this year,” the artists shared in a statement. D’Angelo said he was advised the performance “could further complicate matters.”

Beyond his biggest singles, D’Angelo’s catalog includes fan favorites like “Me and Those Dreamin’ Eyes of Mine,” “Cruisin’” and “Devil’s Pie.” His influence stretched far beyond the charts: he inspired a wave of artists including Maxwell, Alicia Keys and Frank Ocean.

ABC News reports the violent Israel Defense Forces said its troops opened fire on Palestinians, killing five, after they allegedly violated the terms of the ceasefire agreement.

The IDF said that "several suspects were identified crossing the yellow line and approaching IDF troops operating in the northern Gaza Strip, which constitutes a violation of the agreement."

The five approached forces in Gaza City’s eastern Shejaiya neighborhood, the IDF said.

"After multiple attempts to distance them, the suspects refused to comply, prompting troops to open fire to remove the threat," the IDF said on social media.

A Palestinian Civil Defence spokesperson denied the IDF’s claim, telling ABC News that the five people were killed within the safe-zone yellow area.

This violation is a perfect example of how this rogue state will not adhere to the ceasefire.

Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, U.S. Envoy of the Middle East Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump, U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mikd Huckabee and United Nations Ambassador Michael Waltz are fools. They are shielding Israel and will continue allowing this white Jewish supremacist ethnostate continue its crusade of invasions and occupation. 

The New Arab reports Palestinian journalist and influencer Saleh Al-Jafarawi was shot dead in Gaza City by armed groups on Sunday while documenting the destruction in the Sabra neighbourhood, following the Israeli army’s withdrawal from the area.

Al-Jaafrawi’s death came as Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir declared that Israel’s two-year military campaign had achieved “victory" over Hamas. "We are reshaping the face of the Middle East and our security strategy for the years to come," Zamir said.

Meanwhile, tens of thousands of displaced Palestinians have begun returning to the ruins of their homes in northern Gaza, where bulldozers are clearing rubble in Sabra, Shujaiya, and other districts flattened by Israeli bombardments.

Before this sham ceasefire, other countries offered proposals that required Israel to pay for reparations and an elimination of settlements in the West Bank. The U.S. has constantly rejected these proposals.

It has to be the U.S. at the forefront with a bad faith ceasefire that gives Israel everything but an actual truce. It continues to attack Gaza and has threatened attacking Yemen, Syria, Lebanon and Iran.

Israel still spies on allies.

But yes, let's talk about protesters calling for an intifada.

Let's ban Shira law and push for English only and making Christianity the national religion of the United States.

Trump boasted that Gazans should be able to return home. This is what home looks like.

Republicans are not solving the problems we're facing right now.

Focus on the domestic issues in the 50 states and five territories.

I don't care about the culture wars and partisan banter. I don't my taxpayer money funding border walls, Israel or lawmakers' travel expenses.

Israel once again interfered in U.S. elections and it comes as no surprise that foreign operatives from AIPAC controlling the Republicans and Democrats in Congress.

I am so frustrated with the Democratic lawmakers siding with the apartheid ethnostate of Israel. They literally are bleeding support despite Republicans collapsing in support as well.

The Democratic Party is now conservative while the Republican Party is now fascist.

The Democrats are ignoring the progressive base. They're on their knees giving in to Israel and its minions.

To clear up the West-backed junk food media's account of Oct. 7, the Israelis used the Hannibal Directive to massacre the settlers to prevent Hamas from taking IDF soliders. The IDF has used the weapons to kill settlers at a festival.

Hamas has been very clear on who they targeted. They targeted the IDF and the walls. They do not target civilians. Israel has exaggerated the way this went down.

They have used American weapons to kill settlers, doctors, humanitarian aid workers, UN peacekeepers and their own IDF soliders. Israel has killed Americans, British, German, Australian, Canadians and French citizens. 

No investigations were carried out to why Israel targeted them.

The "hostages" were IDF soliders. 

Israel has violated the ceasefire. They will continue invading Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon and Syria. They want the U.S. to start a war with Iran.

The supporters of former president Joe Biden and former vice president Kamala Harris are playing on this "We tried to warn you" nonsense. How can you morally stand on principles of being a progressive and back Israel?

Second, Harris failed to win over voters. She stuck with former president Joe Biden on the economy, Israel, Ukraine, immigration and inflation. Harris continues to defend Israel. It is really disappointing that she continues to support that apartheid ethnostate. They literally meddled in the 2024 elections. They were rooting for Trump to win. Biden and Harris were played like fiddles.

What Happened To Legaci DeShawn?

A little girl is killed in an assassination attempt on her father. The latest incident of gun violence rocks Dayton, Ohio.

An incident in Dayton, Ohio has gotten attention of Black social media. The tragic shooting of a 5-year old girl who was killed while inside a vehicle.

The shooter was trying to assassinate the father. He managed to escape, but the little girl who was still inside the vehicle was shot numerous times. The child was rushed to Dayton's Childrens and later passed away.

Now the community is demanding answers. It even caught the attention of Dayton mayor, Jeff Mims, Jr. 

Mims is angry with the U.S. Department of Justice blocking the violence deterence program that Dayton wanted to initiate to curb gun violence.

The death of Legaci DeShawn has put Dayton in the national spotlight.

Dayton police responded around 9:20 p.m. on Friday to the 3000 block of Nicholas Road on reports of a shooting.

A man called 911 and told dispatchers he and his daughter had been shot, but could not speak long out of fear.

Local junk food media reported the gunfire began just after the girl was placed in her car seat. Police said the father took the girl out of the seat as the gunfire happened and ran for safety inside the home after being shot in the foot himself.

“We don’t know at what point she was struck, whether it was inside the vehicle or not,” Dayton Police Lieutenant Eric Sheldon said. “We do know gunfire erupted while she was sitting in a vehicle and he was getting ready to leave.”

Both the father and daughter were rushed to local hospitals, but Sheldon confirmed on Monday that the 5-year-old died from her injuries at the hospital.

The father’s injuries were non-life-threatening.

Family members held a vigil and balloon launch Sunday in her honor.

Mims reacted to the tragic shooting while greeting the victim's family.

“We talked about the aspect of one loss of life is one too many,” Mims said.

The mayor told the family he wants to share their pain and support them. It’s exactly why he and other city leaders are bringing the Violence Interruption Program to the city.

“Clearly, we want to find the individuals who are responsible for this and, more than that, we want to find ways of preventing this from happening to anyone else because no one deserves to go through this type of pain,” Mims said.

The shooting is under investigation by the Dayton Police Department’s Homicide Unit.

According to the far right, almost all white [or non-white] mass shooters are registered Democrats [leftist or some progressive activist] because they have liked or done one thing common to the politics of the left. Of course, they often share or post disinformation by using the ridiculous "Sam Hyde" meme or make bogus social media platforms with the shooter's image as a way to denounce most mass shooters being white or associated with conservative causes. The far right says a white person should "protect" themselves from thugs, terrorists or protesters. They believe the use of firearms are "justified" if they are protesting or even instigating a conflict. The far right believes if a shooter is a police officer, an active military member, a veteran or a citizen who supports conservative causes, they are considered a "heroes" and use of firearms are justified. If the shooters are teens in urban communities, the far right automatically assume the gunmen are Black. Even if the evidence turns out that the shooter has alignment with conservative causes or Republicans, the far right dismisses it as a hoax or a plot to demonize the MAGA movement.

The Republicans usually amplify white victims. Anytime a person of color kills a white victim, it is often wall-to-wall coverage on Fox, Twitter and they force it into national news. They make the case to blame Black Lives Matter, Barack Obama, Kamala Harris, Democrats, Rev. Al Sharpton and rap music for Black on whatever violence. Republican lawmakers who do not live in urban neighborhoods often troll social media to talk about gun violence or crime in Chicago, Baltimore, Milwaukee and New York City while not doing a damn thing to stop it. If a white person shoots a Black person, the shooter is given the benefit of doubt. White shooters are given glowing profiles about their perfect lives and how friends noticed something but refused to do something. When it comes to Black shooters, automatic vilification. They don't see mental illness. They see it as gang violence, allegedly fatherless homes, Democratic policies or the need for more firearms.

Both parties support of Israel had made some Arab Americans, Muslim and young voters vote against them. They have cost Biden a second term and Harris a historical victory.

Trump, Vice President JD Vance, members of Congress, Benjamin Netanyahu, the Anti-Defamation League, Jonathan Greenblatt, the Canary Mission, Zionism, colonialism, imperialism, slavery, racism, Christian nationalism and white supremacy.

Again, as long as there is no violence towards anyone practicing religious beliefs, there is no antisemitism when criticizing the Jews.

To clear up the West-backed junk food media's account of Oct. 7, the Israelis used the Hannibal Directive to massacre the settlers to prevent Hamas from taking IDF soliders. The IDF has used the weapons to kill settlers at a festival.

Hamas has been very clear on who they targeted. They targeted the IDF and the walls. They do not target civilians. Israel has exaggerated the way this went down.

They have used American weapons to kill settlers, doctors, humanitarian aid workers, UN peacekeepers and their own IDF soliders. Israel has killed Americans, British, German, Australian, Canadians and French citizens. 

Boycotting Israel will not stop.

No investigations were carried out to why Israel targeted them.

Israel refuses to allow independent monitors into Gaza, Lebanon and Syria.

IDF soliders who refuse to carry out orders are often taken out by snipers.

The "hostages" were IDF soliders. 

Israel has violated the ceasefire. They will continue invading Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon and Syria. They want the U.S. to start a war with Iran.

The supporters of former president Joe Biden and former vice president Kamala Harris are playing on this "We tried to warn you" nonsense. How can you morally stand on principles of being a progressive and back Israel?

First and foremost, Americans have a right to vote for whomever they chose.

Second, Harris failed to win over voters. She stuck with former president Joe Biden on the economy, Israel, Ukraine, immigration and inflation. The former president failed to listen to voters and his base. Harris still shows no sign of coming to terms with the results. She is pissed and not giving a fuck about the protesters at her memoir tour.

Harris continues to defend Israel. It is really disappointing that she continues to support that apartheid ethnostate. They literally meddled in the 2024 elections. They were rooting for Trump to win. Biden and Harris were played like fiddles.

The former president gave unilateral support and cover. We knew Trump would be worse. We demanded that Biden and Harris put pressure on Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel to stop killing. We urged them to stop invading other countries. Biden ignored the concerns. The Democrats paid the price.

This shows a lot of "tone deafness" within the Democratic Party. 

It is not Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) or the former supporters' fault for Biden and Harris' missteps. The protesters warned them that Arab Americans did not like being ignored. 

Those fucking hypocrites sat in silence as Israel is killing women and children.

They can fuck themselves.

Israel has killed Americans. No one was held accountable.

The killing of Rachel Corrie did not move George W. Bush to cut Israel loose.

The deaths of Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, Tawfiq Abdel Jabbar, Mohammad Khdour, Omar Assad, Shireen Abu Akleh, Jacob Flickinger and Kamel Ahmad Jawad were never investigated by the U.S. Justice Department.

The double standard in media coverage is the Israelis are hostages and the Palestinians are prisoners. Some of the Palestinians held in Israeli custody are children under the age of 14. 

Trump greets Egyptian president, Abdel Fattah el-Sissi. El-Sissi, the West backed puppet leader who overthrew the previous leaders.

When Russia seized Ukrainian land and Crimea, the U.S. pushed for sanctions.

When Israel seized Lebanese and Syrian land, the U.S. recognized it as Israeli sovereignty. They have actively rejected sanctions imposed on Israel.

Iran supports the resistance. The U.S. and Israel labels it as an enabler of terrorism and war. Yet, Israel has created the conflicts by forcing regime change, killing Iranian civilians, their scientists, their military generals and their diplomats. No one seems to call this terrorism. In fact, some U.S. lawmakers see it as justifiable offense.

Hamas stated the reasons for the attack on occupation forces. It has nothing to do with the Jewish religion or Iran. 

The IDF has the weapons to destroy everything. All on the American taxpayer, Israel has killed civilians, their own citizens and the status quo.

On Monday, Hamas released 20 IDF soliders and settlers into the custody of the Red Cross, which then brought them to Israel as part of a new ceasefire deal that many hope will signal an end to two years of war in the devastated Gaza Strip. Under the agreement, all living settlers or IDF members were to be released, as well as the bodies of the deceased.

Two were previously thought to be living were confirmed dead: Tamir Nimrodi and Bipin Joshi. Israel had previously expressed “grave concern” over their status.

The war was triggered by Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel, when some 1,200 people were killed and 251 kidnapped. 

The genocide has killed more than 67,000 Palestinians, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry, which doesn’t differentiate between civilians and combatants but says around half the deaths were women and children, and displaced around 90% of the Gaza population of some 2 million. The Gaza Health Ministry and the United Nations and many independent experts consider its figures to be the most reliable estimate of wartime casualties in Gaza.

Trump called for a new era of harmony in the Middle East on Monday during a global summit on Gaza’s future, trying to advance broader peace in the region after visiting Israel to celebrate a U.S.-brokered ceasefire with Hamas.

“We have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to put the old feuds and bitter hatreds behind us,” Trump said, and he urged leaders “to declare that our future will not be ruled by the fights of generations past.”

The whirlwind trip, which included the summit in Egypt and a speech at the Knesset in Jerusalem earlier in the day, comes at a fragile moment of hope for ending two years of war between Israel and Hamas.

“Everybody said it’s not possible to do. And it’s going to happen. And it is happening before your very eyes,” Trump said alongside Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi.

Nearly three dozen countries, including some from Europe and the Middle East, were represented at the summit. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was invited but declined, with his office saying it was too close to a Jewish holiday.

Trump, el-Sissi, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani signed a document outlining a broad vision that Trump said would lay the groundwork for Gaza’s future.

Despite unanswered questions about next steps in the Palestinian enclave, which has been devastated during the conflict, Trump is determined to seize an opportunity to chase an elusive regional harmony.

He expressed a similar sense of finality about the Israel-Hamas war in his speech at the Knesset, which welcomed him as a hero.

Apartheid Israelis praise white nationalist Trump for keeping the status quo.

“You’ve won,” he told Israeli lawmakers. “Now it is time to translate these victories against terrorists on the battlefield into the ultimate prize of peace and prosperity for the entire Middle East.”

Trump promised to help rebuild Gaza, and he urged Palestinians to “turn forever from the path of terror and violence.”

“After tremendous pain and death and hardship,” he said, “now is the time to concentrate on building their people up instead of trying to tear Israel down.”

Trump even made a gesture to Iran, where he bombed three nuclear sites during the country’s brief war with Israel earlier this year, by saying “the hand of friendship and cooperation is always open.”

Trump’s whirlwind trip

Trump arrived in Egypt hours late because speeches at the Knesset continued longer than expected.

“They might not be there by the time I get there, but we’ll give it a shot,” Trump joked after needling Israeli leaders for talking so much.

Twenty were released Monday as part of an agreement intended to end the war that began on Oct. 7, 2023, with an attack by Hamas-led militants. Trump talked with some of their families at the Knesset.

“Your name will be remembered to generations,” a woman told him.

Israeli lawmakers chanted Trump’s name and gave him standing ovation after standing ovation. Some people in the audience wore red hats that resembled his “Make America Great Again” caps, although these versions said “Trump, The Peace President.”

Netanyahu hailed Trump as “the greatest friend Israel has ever had in the White House,” and he promised to work with him going forward.

“Mr. President, you are committed to this peace. I am committed to this peace,” he said. “And together, Mr. President, we will achieve this peace.”

Trump, in an unexpected detour during his speech, called on the Israeli president to pardon Netanyahu, whom he described as “one of the greatest” wartime leaders. Netanyahu faces corruption charges, although several hearings have been postponed dring the conflict with Hamas.

The Republican president also used the opportunity to settle political scores and thank his supporters, criticizing Democratic predecessors and praising a top donor, Miriam Adelson, in the audience.

Trump pushes to reshape the region

The moment remains fragile, with Israel and Hamas still in the early stages of implementing the first phase of Trump’s plan.

The first phase of the ceasefire agreement calls for the release of the final Israelis held by Hamas; the release of hundreds of Palestinian hostages held by Israel; a surge of humanitarian aid to Gaza; and a partial pullback by Israeli forces from Gaza’s main cities.

Trump has said there’s a window to reshape the region and reset long-fraught relations between Israel and its Arab neighbors.

“The war is over, OK?” Trump told reporters traveling with him aboard Air Force One.

If we rid ourselves of the boomers and GenX, maybe America can move forward.

“I think people are tired of it,” he said, emphasizing that he believed the ceasefire would hold because of that.

He said the chafnce of peace was enabled by his Republican administration’s support of Israel’s decimation of Iranian proxies, including Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

The White House said momentum is also building because Arab and Muslim states are demonstrating a renewed focus on resolving the broader, decades-long Israeli-Palestinian conflict and, in some cases, deepening relations with the United States.

In February, Trump had predicted that Gaza could be redeveloped into what he called “the Riviera of the Middle East.” But on Sunday aboard Air Force One, he was more circumspect.

“I don’t know about the Riviera for a while,” Trump said. “It’s blasted. This is like a demolition site.” But he said he hoped to one day visit the territory. “I’d like to put my feet on it, at least,” he said.

The sides have not agreed on Gaza’s postwar governance, the territory’s reconstruction and Israel’s demand that Hamas disarm. Negotiations over those issues could break down, and Israel has hinted it may resume military operations if its demands are not met.

Much of Gaza has been reduced to rubble, and the territory’s roughly 2 million residents continue to struggle in desperate conditions. Under the deal, Israel agreed to reopen five border crossings, which will help ease the flow of food and other supplies into Gaza, parts of which are experiencing famine.

Roughly 200 U.S. troops will help support and monitor the ceasefire deal as part of a team that includes partner nations, nongovernmental organizations and private-sector players.
