As expected, Ohio is being pushed out. North Carolina is the 7th most populated state. Image made by Grok.
North Carolina is on pace to become the 7th most populated state. It will surpass Ohio and Georgia.
Ohio will be the 9th most populated state by 2040.
Republicans, you own this. A state that has a majority white population with little growth in migrants, people of color and regressive laws keep Ohio in the Rust Belt.
Of the Midwestern cities, Chicago, Columbus, Indianapolis, Kansas City and Detroit. They are on the decline. Chicago will become the fourth largest city in 2040. Columbus will cap its population at 1.2 million by 2030. Indianapolis will cap population at 1.02 million by 2030.
The Midwest is on pace to gain but in the long-term it will lose to the Mid-Atlantic, Deep South and Sun Belt.
President Donald J. Trump carried Ohio in 2016, 2020 and 2024. So it is an end to the bellweather status of Ohio. It picked Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
Trump will be the only modern day president to keep Ohio in his corner. Florida also lost its bellweather status too.

North Carolina has a population of 11.2 million. It will keep growing due to sprawling communities.
But the risks of downfall are eminent.
Despite the catastrophic flooding, the endless hurricane damages, the neverending gun violence and urban sprawl, the Tar Hill State is building a stable infrastructure as well as a growing suburban and exurban base.
Cities like Charlotte, Raleigh, Durham, Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem, Fayetteville, Hickory, Asheville, Greenville, Cary, Wilmington, Burlington, Wilson, Goldsboro and Rocky Mount have grown in population.
Boom in North Carolina.
North Carolina is projected to reach 11.7 million people by 2030 according to latest population projections. As a result of this growth, and given trends in other states shown in the U.S. Census Bureau’s latest population estimates, the state will gain an additional congressional seat following the 2030 Census.
The remainder of the state’s population in 2030—8,054,000 people—is projected to live within the 24 urban or regional center/suburban counties. This means 69% of the state’s projected 2030 population will live in an urban or regional center/suburban county.
By 2060, that proportion is expected to rise to more than 77%, with 11,893,000 million people living in urban or regional center/suburban counties (28 counties). Less than a quarter of North Carolina’s projected population will live in the remaining 72 rural counties (3,477,000 people).
Deadly weekend of gun violence in Republican controlled states.
Are you getting tired of this?
The status quo politics of "can't do nothing" or "now is not the time."
At least two mass shootings a day now. It never stops. With the federal government at a shutdown, more people could be drawn to extreme measures.
Uh oh. Better see if the far right preparing to make this shooter a leftist.
I wonder if Charlie Kirk got something to say about it?
Nevermind.
The United States is the most violent country in the world. Israel and Russia follow behind respectfully. Israel, Russia and the United States are the most hated countries in the world.
The United States is downsizing in democracy What is wrong with white men and white boys?
It's the guns stupid!
Things to keep in mind when the blame game comes, will the suspect be:
White
Black
Muslim
Immigrant
Arab
A member of the LGBTQ community
A disgruntled employee
A former student
A current student
A so called leftist
A person who has conservative views
A person with easy access to firearm
The person with easy access to firearms should be the only answer. Alas, the far right is hoping for this to be a person they can scapegoat as their next de jour of outrage.
The real issue is not just guns, it's white men and white boys. They are losing their goddamn minds. Inspired by loneliness, politics, job loss, social media trends, endless perceptions of others, the lack of opportunities (besides joining the military) and the need to be ahead of everyone else is what drives these fools to commit endless chaos.
White privilege also santizes the white shooters. Already we are getting details of the three mass shooters. Glaring profiles of these white mass shooters to paint them as unfortunate circumstances. Ignoring the fact, these terrorists had signs of potential danger but their families thought it was just noise.
The real issue is gun violence. Not comedians. Not activists. Not Black men. Not immigrants. Not Muslims. Not transgender Americans. Not video games. Not movies. Not rap music. Not the left.
A man made crisis that can be solved if these incompetent politicians and media agitators stop making excuses for the continued gun violence epidemic. Instead offering words, how about policies?
The United States is downsizing in democracy and freedom.
There were 400 mass shootings. In bold means more than one. We had more mass shootings than a calendar year. Mind you 365 days for three years and 366 days only one year.

Police officers killed so far: 72 killed.
School shootings so far: 57 shootings.
Religious institution shootings so far: 3 shootings.
Only in America, how many more mass shootings must we deal with before we finally curb gun violence?
President Donald J. Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Gov. Henry McMaster (South Carolina), Tate Reeves (Mississippi), Kay Ivey (Alabama), Greg Abbott (Texas), Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), Sen. Roger Wicker (R-MS), Sen. Cindy Hyde Smith (R-MS), Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL), Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL), Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and the U.S. House members were notified.
A mass shooting at a crowded bar on an idyllic South Carolina island has left four people dead and at least 20 injured, officials say.
Leland, Mississippi.
The shooting occurred early Sunday at Willie’s Bar and Grill on St. Helena Island, officials said. A large crowd was at the scene when sheriff’s deputies arrived and found several people suffering from gunshot wounds.
“Multiple victims and witnesses ran to the nearby businesses and properties seeking shelter from the gun shots,” the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement on the social media platform X.
“This is a tragic and difficult incident for everyone. We ask for your patience as we continue to investigate this incident. Our thoughts are with all of the victims and their loved ones,” the statement said.
Four people were found dead at the scene, and at least 20 other people were injured. Among the injured, four were in critical condition at area hospitals.
The victims’ identities were not released.
“COMPLETELY HEARTBROKEN to learn about the devastating shooting in Beaufort County,” U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace posted on X. “Our prayers are with the victims, their families, and everyone impacted by this horrific act of violence.”
This woman is not heartbroken. She is either high or drunk. Cause a real lawmaker would call for policies that could prevent gun violence from being an everyday occurrence.
Image of the Mississippi mass shooter released. He is still on the loose.
Four people were killed in a shooting in a small town in the Mississippi Delta region after a high school football homecoming game there, a state senator said Saturday.
Victim fatalities: Kaslyn Johnson (18), Amos Brantley Jr (18), Calvin Plant (19), Shelbyona Powell (25), JaMichael Jones (34) and Oreshama Johnson (41).
The shootings happened occurred in the downtown area of the small town of Leland, Mississippi, where people had gathered following the game, said Mississippi state Sen. Derrick Simmons, who represents people in that region.
Four other victims who were among about 20 people injured in the shooting were taken to a hospital in Greenville and then flown to a larger hospital in the state capital city of Jackson, where they were in critical condition, Simmons told The Associated Press.
Simmons said he was confident the information is correct because he received updates from authorities with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, which is investigating, as well as from other law enforcement authorities.
“People were just congregating and having a good time in the downtown of Leland,” Simmons said of the town with a population of fewer than 4,000 people.
He was told that after the gunfire, the scene was “very chaotic,” as police, sheriff’s deputies and ambulances “responded from all over.”
“It’s just senseless gun violence,” he said. “What we are experiencing now is just a proliferation of guns just being in circulation.”
No arrests have been announced, and Simmons said late Saturday morning that he had not heard any information about possible suspects.
“They are on the ground working and I have all the faith in the world that they will get to the bottom of this,” he said.
“As the state senator for the area, we are asking any and all individuals who might have any information regarding the horrific shooting last night to come forward and provide whatever information they have,” he added.
A juvenile male was arrested Friday for his part in a shooting that killed two people and injured 12 others in a crowded downtown nightlife district in Alabama’s capital city this past weekend, police said.
Montgomery police announced that the boy has been charged with capital murder and 12 counts of assault. His name wasn’t immediately released.
Rival gunmen opened fire on each other late Saturday night, leading to the deaths of a 43-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy, police said. Investigators determined that multiple people fired weapons in a crowd just after the Tuskegee University-Morehouse College rivalry football game ended blocks away.
The shooting began when someone targeted one of the 14 victims, prompting multiple people to pull their own weapons and start firing back, police said. Seven of the 14 victims were under 20, and the youngest was 16. At least two of the victims were armed.
Multiple weapons and shell cases were recovered from the scene, officials said.
A man is believed to have fatally shot three people at two different locations in the Houston area before killing himself on Wednesday, said police, who are still trying to determine a motive for the shootings.
“Early indications are that it’s all related,” Houston Police Department Lt. Larry Crowson said.
Around 1 p.m., a driver in the Houston suburb of Sugar Land fired multiple shots at another vehicle, hitting its driver, who was pronounced dead at a hospital, said Alicia Alaniz, a spokesperson for the city police. Police are still trying to determine if the shooting was an instance of road rage, Alaniz said.
About half an hour later, Houston police received a call about a shooting at a mechanic shop about 7 miles (11 kilometers) southeast of the first shooting. Crowson said the shooter shot a mechanic and a witness who was filming him as he was leaving.
The description of the shooter and the vehicle he was in matched the accounts from the Sugar Land shooting, Crowson said.
Police found the shooter dead in his vehicle about 4 miles (6.4 kilometers) away. Authorities believe he killed himself.
Police have not released the names of the victims or the shooter.
The suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
What is the real reason for gun violence in the United States?
So I just want to say that the Second Amendment is White, period.
A bullet does not care about color. We all bleed red and so many lives are lost to gun violence and Republicans offer no solutions other than "thoughts and prayers" with a touch of "lock em up."
Gun violence is the number one threat in the United States.
I dismiss this ridiculous notion that criminals are the problem, not the guns. Firearms are often obtained through legal purchases.
Again, having more security, teachers being armed and offering safe rooms are not solving the problem. The problem is lawmakers not willing to stop gun violence.
According to the far right: White shooters are always mentally ill or lone wolves. The far right believes they should receive some sympathy for their crimes. Black shooters are unrepentant thugs and criminals who deserve lengthy time in the iron college or death. Gay and transgender shooters are active groomers who want to be pedophiles on children. Muslim shooters are terrorists who should be surveiled or deported. Hispanic and Asian shooters are illegal immigrants and they should be deported. According to the far right, almost all white [or non-white] mass shooters are registered Democrats [leftist or some progressive activist] because they have liked or done one thing common to the politics of the left. Of course, they often share or post disinformation by using the ridiculous "Sam Hyde" meme or make bogus social media platforms with the shooter's image as a way to denounce most mass shooters being white or associated with conservative causes. The far right says a white person should "protect" themselves from thugs, terrorists or protesters. They believe the use of firearms are "justified" if they are protesting or even instigating a conflict. The far right believes if a shooter is a police officer, an active military member, a veteran or a citizen who supports conservative causes, they are considered a "heroes" and use of firearms are justified. If the shooters are teens in urban communities, the far right automatically assume the gunmen are Black. Even if the evidence turns out that the shooter has alignment with conservative causes or Republicans, the far right dismisses it as a hoax or a plot to demonize the MAGA movement.
The Republicans usually amplify white victims. Anytime a person of color kills a white victim, it is often wall-to-wall coverage on Fox, Twitter and they force it into national news. They make the case to blame Black Lives Matter, Barack Obama, Kamala Harris, Democrats, Rev. Al Sharpton and rap music for Black on whatever violence. Republican lawmakers who do not live in urban neighborhoods often troll social media to talk about gun violence or crime in Chicago, Baltimore, Milwaukee and New York City while not doing a damn thing to stop it. If a white person shoots a Black person, the shooter is given the benefit of doubt. White shooters are given glowing profiles about their perfect lives and how friends noticed something but refused to do something. When it comes to Black shooters, automatic vilification. They don't see mental illness. They see it as gang violence, allegedly fatherless homes, Democratic policies or the need for more firearms.
This is America.
Trump gave us open season.
WHITE PRIVILEGE IS REAL! IT'S "SUIT AND TIE" WHITE SUPREMACY ON TELEVISION, RADIO, THE INTERNET AND AMERICAN POLICY!
FOR EVERY BAD COP, THERE WILL BE A DEAD COP!
IF THE UNITED STATES CONTINUES TO AID ISRAEL, THE WORLD WILL BOYCOTT THE U.S. AND ABANDON THE DOLLAR!
I DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING ON THE INTERNET OR THE COP'S VERSION.
These murderers don't have mental illness. They are calculated and prepared. It happened to be a moment where they have the opportunity to take out lives.
There's no sickness in the head. Most mass shooters legally obtain their assault rifles without little background checks. They have likely no criminal history and they are willing to use the assault weapon in the only thing it's good for: Killing numerous lives.
Holding these lawmakers accountable is not just a pledge, but a promise. You need to learn who represents your community. Your local community member, your school board member, your mayor, your state representative, your state senator, your governor, your U.S. Representative, your U.S. Senator and the president need to be held accountable for their actions.
We need to put pressure on Republicans and Democrats to do something to improve everyone's lives.
Keep pressure on them with Israel.
Israel must be held accountable for war crimes and the U.S. must end its aid.
Our taxpayer money should not help Israel any further.
Republicans have extremely unpopular ideas. They will find out the risk of supporters being turned off by their policies.
Biden, Harris and the Democratic Party failed at understanding what is more important to the country. Trump, Vance and the Republican Party have already failed at understanding.
Both parties support of Israel had made some Arab Americans, Muslim and young voters vote against them. They have cost Biden a second term and Harris a historical victory.

The call center to the White House and Congress should still be the same.
The call number to the White House and U.S. Capitol is now going to be used. This is the official White House numbers 202-456-1111 and 202-456-1414. This is the Congress official phone number, 202-224-3121. Please be respectful to operators, staff members and elected leaders. Your calls are monitored by the U.S. Secret Service and U.S. Capitol Police.
Let them know that "thoughts and prayers," "hearts going to" and "good guys with guns" are no longer acceptable and you want legislation to curb gun violence. Let them know that we are tired of police officers using immunity when committing death of suspects in custody. Let them know that deporting law abiding immigrants seeking refuge is inhumane. You want our American military out of out of our cities, the Middle East and every fucking international conflict in the world. You want legislation to focus on lowering the cost of rent, lowering the cost of food, lowering the cost of hospital visits, improving healthcare and building relationships with other nations. Let them know that pulling out of the UN Human Rights Organization, World Health Organization and Paris Climate Accords will put the U.S. in danger when catastrophic event happen. Let them know that you are tired of private equity firms getting away with destroying small businesses and long established companies. Let them know that you are tired of your taxpayer money going to foreign nations like Israel and Ukraine. You are tired of hearing about "Israel having a right to..." and the bogus claims of being anti-semitic or in support of terrorism.
We have bigger issues at home and our tax dollars should solve the housing crisis, lowering food prices, fixing roads, bridges, helping reinvest in struggling urban and rural communities. We have hospitals closing, big box retailers leaving communities and television programs dying. There are bigger issues in the country than Israel. You want an immediate ceasefire, a weapons embargo, sanctions and accountability for war crimes done by Israel. You want no more domestic or foreign influence in American elections. You also want to make sure future presidents and lawmakers avoid influence from lobbyists and special interest groups.
THERE IS NO GOD!
GOD IS NOT FIXING THIS!
FUCK YOUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS!
LET ME BE CLEAR, PRAYERS DO NOT STOP FUCKING BULLETS!
THIS IS A MAN-MADE ISSUE! WHY IS IT SO HARD TO STOP A MAN-MADE ISSUE LIKE GUN VIOLENCE?
STOP SAYING YOU'RE PRAYING TO PEOPLE AFFECTED BY GUN VIOLENCE. IT IS FUCKING PLATITUDES. DO SOMETHING ABOUT FUCKING GUN VIOLENCE YOU WORTHLESS LAWMAKERS. PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP, THE CHOICE TO CONTINUE THE STATUS QUO WILL KEEP YOU AND OTHERS AT RISK OF VIOLENCE. MAKE A CHOICE TO STOP THE CHAOS AND ACT LIKE A FUCKING 79 YEAR OLD MAN. DO SOMETHING TO HELP THE COUNTRY.
A five year old girl was nearly lynched by two boys. She was sexually assaulted and brutally beaten by them. Ohio law prevents the boys from criminal charges.
Be warned, the images are disturbing.
The victim's name was posted online. I will not mention the name. She is currently in critical but stable condition at the time of the posting.
This is horrible. It is not only horrible but fucking outrageous. The individuals who committed this act should be placed in a juvenile detention. Unfortunately, the U.S. Constitution does protect offenders who are too young to be held accountable.
It is call compentcy. A child under 12 is not fully developed in adult skills.
This is the talk of Black America. A little 5-year old girl was sexually assaulted by boys who were aged 8 to 10 years old.
Cleveland police are investigating after a mother reported her bubbly, sweet five-year-old daughter was beaten, assaulted and scalped.
What happened to Antavia Kennibrew’s daughter is something most people will have a hard understanding.
On September 13, 2025, my daughter resided at a trusted family member's residence around the area of 145th in saint clair while I underwent a medical procedure. While she was away I got a phone call from my family member stating that my daughter walked out of her house and she couldn’t find her anywhere and that the authorities where contacted I I immediately was filled in panic I rushed out of my house and arrive to the scene soon as I got there I ran to the EMS truck where I found my daughter unresponsive, bloody with her hair pulled from her scalp her body covered in bruises her fingernails filled in dirt her eyes filled with blood her neck showing signs of strangulation her mouth and lips bloody her private area filled with debris and dirt and a big lump on her head. I couldn’t believe what I saw in front of me. My daughter did not look like herself. She was traumatized. She was shaking up a group of bigger kids, around ages 8, 9, and 10 walked up to my daughter, presenting their selves as friendly, took her by her hand and walked her to a field that was far away from the residence. In that field, they beat my daughter until she was unconscious. They ripped out her hair. They held my daughter down as they raped her. They also shoved sticks down her throat and down her private area. They stripped her naked and strangled her with her own shirt one of the children then proceeded to take out his private area and leave her covered in their urine they beat her and penetrated her until she was unconscious and unresponsive, one out of the three kids ingratiated their teeth on my baby bottom area to hold her still as they sexually assaulted her the kids then left her where she was at not telling no adult thinking they succeeded in killing her and they continue playing my family member as she was still looking for my daughter saw two out of the 3 children that lives on her street that she had not knew at the time harmed my daughter and walked up to them and asked them if they saw a little girl they they stared at her with no remorse and told her no and continue playing knowing what they had just done to my daughter as my family member went back to her house waiting on the authorities them same kids who she had question came to her with their mother, saying that they know where my daughter is them same two kids that stated that they did not know where my daughter was now with their mother took my family member to where my daughter was found in the field naked, brutally beaten, penetrated, and unresponsive, her clothes, her hair and later found her shoes was scattered all around the field my cousin panicky Place my daughter in her vehicle rushed her back to her house and continued waiting for the authorities to get there. My daughter is completely traumatized. I am completely traumatized. These kids broke my daughter spirit. They took away her boundaries. They penetrated her and constantly beat her. I never wanted to get the media involved because I didn’t want my daughter trauma plastered everywhere when she has the constantly see what happened to her and what she been through and I also trusted that she was going to get the justice that she needed. I am bringing this to the media today because the authorities are failing my daughter they are trying to tell me that two of the kids can’t and won’t be charged because they are 8, and 9 years old even though they attempted to murder my baby and they raped and beat her they are saying legally these two boys cannot be charged I need help and I need justice for my daughter I have reached out to legal aid and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association for legal help I also reached out to rape crisis to get me a victim advocate that I was told can help me on the criminal justice side. I have been advocating for my daughter and I’m not getting any help. I also contacted the mayor of Cleveland, Ohio office to try and get help. I have not received any yet. I need you all to understand if them two kids mother did not make them boys go back to my family member and let her know where my daughter was at my baby wouldn’t be found right now my baby wouldn’t be alive. They literally tried to kill my daughter. These are not normal kids their selves and their parents need to be held accountable my daughter is not the same. She is having behavioral problems. She is mentally not. OK. I am mentally not. OK me not getting justice for my daughter makes me feel like I failed her. She is saying suicidal things she is breaking down she hates talking about what happened to her and I am breaking down with her I have set her up with a therapist and also seeking one for myself. I cannot sleep. I can barely eat. I keep repeatedly seeing images of my baby in that field. She is only five and these horrific things has happened to her. Please help please look at this as if it was your own kid. This is not gossip. This is not a funny matter. This is not nothing to not take serious. This is our life. Please help us there is way more graphic photos of my daughter when she looked way worse i am not comfortable posting
“I literally saw the worst thing ever! I saw my daughter unrecognizable,” described Kennibrew.
Cleveland police have not released many details, though said the victims and suspects are under the age of 10.
“I couldn’t wrap my head around it,” said Kennibrew.
For her daughter’s safety, Kennibrew is not sharing her daughter’s name.
But she sat down with 19 News to explain what happened that day.
She said back on Sept. 13, she had dropped her daughter off at a family member’s home near 145th and St. Clair.
When Kennibrew found out, she rushed over and saw EMS treating her five-year-old.
“What I saw was unbelievable,” said Kennibrew. “My daughter was not my daughter. Her hair was scalped from her head. She had bruises and blood all over her body. Her eyes were filled with blood. Her lips and mouth were filled with blood. Her nails had debris and dirt in it.”
Where's the justice?
19 News has reached out to Cleveland police to get details on the case, what led to that attack, and any possible arrests.
Here’s what police have confirmed at this time:
The Cleveland Division of Police Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Unit is actively investigating a case involving multiple children under the age of 10, both as victims and as suspects of the investigation. Given the sensitive nature of the matter, the release of further information at this time could jeopardize the integrity of the investigation and violate the constitutional rights and privacy of those involved.
Either way, Kennibrew said her daughter is left physically, emotionally and mentally hurt.
The young girl is now in therapy.
Her mother is grateful for the support of the community so far, but she wants help and answers.
“I want her to be somewhat of a normal five-year-old again,” said Kennibrew.
Civil litigation is certain. The state can indict those involved.
We are in the third week of the government shutdown. Guess what folks?
Things are falling apart.
Think about all the federal agencies that regulate the country. If the federal workers are being furloughed or laid off, the end game.
Civil war.
Y'all voted for this. And y'all gonna feel it.
The Republican Party continues to gaslight the American people with neverending distractions. They resort to the culture wars and the pivot game. They keep saying lies.
Their paid influencers keep parroting the lies and some of the Americans are soaking it in like sponges.
President Donald J. Trump finally got Israel to agree to a ceasefire. Let me correct that statement. Trump is allowing Israel to finish the genocide by making a sham ceasefire deal that advocates the release of IDF soliders and illegal settlers. In exchange for Palestinian hostages, Israel will continue its occupation and continue its ground invasion at the ready.
It cost over $3.3 billion a day for the government shutdown. Yet, we're still Israel nearly $4 billion in appropriations. Something isn't right here!
Meanwhile in Humphreys County, Tennessee near the city of McEven there was a deadly explosion at a military disarmament facility.
A powerful explosion that ripped through a military explosives facility in Tennessee left no survivors, officials said.
Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis confirmed 16 victims in the blast at a news conference on Saturday night, saying he has contacted all their family members after authorities discovered two of the initially missing people were found alive and not on site at the time of the incident.
We've recovered no survivors," Davis said.
Davis also said he did not yet have details on the identities of the victims as of Saturday night. The sheriff said earlier in the day that teams will enter to start conducting a rapid DNA search to identify the victims. There were no updates regarding injuries.
Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Gov. Bill Lee, Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-TN) and the U.S. House members were notified.
The explosion took place at Accurate Energetic Systems, a military explosives plant, around 7:45 a.m. Central time on Friday morning, according to Davis. The blast occurred in one of the eight buildings on the campus. Video from the scene showed damaged vehicles and charred debris scattered around the area.
Earlier officials said 19 people were missing, but revised the number on Saturday, saying a person who was initially believed to be on site was located safely at home. Another person was also later found to not have been there at the time of the explosion, Tennessee Emergency Management Agency said.
No survivors.
CBS affiliate WTVF-TV in Nashville broadcast video of debris strewn about the site, with damaged vehicles in a parking lot.
"I'm not gonna lie to you," Davis said. "This is probably one of the most devastating scenes that I've ever seen in my career."
When asked to describe the affected building, Davis said: "There's nothing to describe. It's gone."
The Associated Press reported that the blast rattled homes miles away. Gentry Stover, a nearby resident, told AP that it woke him up.
"I thought the house had collapsed with me inside of it," he said in a phone interview. "I live very close to Accurate and I realized about 30 seconds after I woke up that it had to have been that."
What caused the explosion in Tennessee?
The cause of the explosion was not yet known, and the investigation could take days, the sheriff said.
Agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, were on site, Davis said. The Metro Nashville Police Department Bomb Squad also said it was responding to help process the scene. Davis said he expected crews to remain on the site for several days.
Sources close to the investigation told CBS News on Saturday morning that investigators are back assessing the site of the blast. The area "appears to be much more unstable than they thought," which is slowing down the process, and there are some small fires still smoldering around the building, sources said.
Deadly aftermath.
Davis warned there could be continued small explosions at the site. Hickman County Advanced EMT David Stewart told The Associated Press that emergency crews initially couldn't enter the plant because of continuing detonations. Sources said several small "controlled" explosions will likely occur throughout the day.
Agencies are using multiple methods to find and identify missing people; the FBI is using cell phone analysis to determine if the cell phone of someone who was reported missing was at or near the building at the time of the blast, while the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation will use rapid DNA testing to identify any victims that are found.

What's Charlie Kirk's thoughts on this tragedy?
Nevermind.
Look, this the results of incompetence on the person of people working around explosives or toxic chemicals. It cost the person and his/her co-workers their lives. The company will face repercussions for this. The irony of this is the fact that more of these incidents are happening.
Earlier this year, three Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputies died after a failed detonation at a training facility.
Not to mention the explosion at a Bronx apartment building. The building had a burn pit inside the building. These events have shaped how America's safety and infrastructure crumbles when our federal government is not capable of working in unison with the American people.
