Australia is officially joining France, Canada, Ireland and possibly the United Kingdom in recognizing a Palestinian state. It will certainly anger Israel and its sugar daddy, the United States.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese faces reelection and enormous pressure to do something about this.

The United States continues to offer aid and comfort to the apartheid ethnostate.

President Donald J. Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio had tried to pressure leaders to avoid recognition. 

Albanese said Monday, Australia joining the leaders of France, Britain and Canada in signaling they would do so.

His remarks followed weeks of urging from within his Cabinet and from many in Australia to recognize a Palestinian state and amid growing criticism from officials in his government over suffering in Gaza, which Albanese on Monday referred to as a “humanitarian catastrophe.”

Australia’s government has also criticized plans announced in recent days by Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu for a sweeping new military offensive in Gaza.

Albanese says conditions must be met for Palestine recognition

Albanese told reporters after a Cabinet meeting Monday that Australia’s decision to recognize a Palestinian state will be formalized at the United Nations General Assembly in September. The acknowledgement was “predicated on commitments Australia has received from the Palestinian Authority,” Albanese said.

Those commitments included no role for Hamas in a Palestinian government, demilitarization of Gaza and the holding of elections, he said.

“A two-state solution is humanity’s best hope to break the cycle of violence in the Middle East and to bring an end to the conflict, suffering and starvation in Gaza,” Albanese said.

“The situation in Gaza has gone beyond the world’s worst fears,” he said. “The Israeli government continues to defy international law and deny sufficient aid, food and water to desperate people, including children.”

Netanyahu rebuked Australia before the announcement

Ahead of Albanese’s announcement, Netanyahu on Sunday criticized Australia and other European countries that have moved to recognize a Palestinian state.

“To have European countries and Australia march into that rabbit hole ... this canard, is disappointing and I think it’s actually shameful,” the Israeli leader said.

Australia has designated Hamas a terrorist entity and Albanese repeated Monday his government’s calls for the group to return Israeli hostages held since Oct. 7, 2023.

The Australian leader last week spoke to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, whose authority administers parts of the occupied West Bank, supports a two-state solution and cooperates with Israel on security matters. Abbas has agreed to conditions with Western leaders, including Albanese, as they prepared to recognize a Palestinian state.

“This is an opportunity to deliver self-determination for the people of Palestine in a way that isolates Hamas, disarms it and drives it out of the region once and for all,” Albanese said. He added that Hamas did not support a two-state solution.

Recognition is growing, but is largely symbolic without the U.S.

Nearly 150 of the 193 members of the United Nations have already recognized Palestinian statehood, most of them decades ago. The United States and other Western powers have held off, saying Palestinian statehood should be part of a final agreement resolving the decades-old Middle East conflict.

Recognition announcements are largely symbolic and are rejected by Israel, and by the United States — the only country with any real leverage over Netanyahu. Israel’s leader said this month that he would not accept Palestinian Authority involvement in a government for Palestine.

A two-state solution would see a state of Palestine created alongside Israel in most or all of the occupied West Bank, the war-ravaged Gaza Strip and annexed east Jerusalem, territories Israel seized in the 1967 Mideast war that the Palestinians want for their state.

Albanese dismissed suggestions Monday that the move was solely symbolic.

“This is a practical contribution towards building momentum,” he said. “This is not Australia acting alone.”

Albanese had discussed Australia’s decision with the leaders of Britain, France, New Zealand and Japan, he said. He also had a “long discussion” with Netanyahu this month, he added.

In neighboring New Zealand, Foreign Minister Winston Peters said Monday his government “will carefully weigh up its position” on recognizing a Palestinian state before making a formal decision in September.

“New Zealand has been clear for some time that our recognition of a Palestinian state is a matter of when, not if,” Peters said in a statement.

Australian Jewish and Palestinian groups criticized the move

After Albanese’s announcement Monday, Israel’s envoy to Australia said the move undermined Israel’s security.

“By recognising a Palestinian state now, Australia elevates the position of Hamas, a group it acknowledges as a terrorist organisation,” Amir Maimon posted to X.

“This commitment removes any incentive or diplomatic pressure for the Palestinians to do the things that have always stood in the way of ending the conflict,” spokesperson for the Executive Council of the Australian Jewry Alex Ryvchin said in a statement.

Meanwhile, President of the Australia Palestine Advocacy Network Nasser Mashni decried Albanese’s recognition as too late and “completely meaningless” while the country continues to trade with Israel.

He told reporters in Melbourne on Monday that the move would do nothing to end the “ongoing genocide in Gaza which has been live streamed for the entire world for two years.”

Hamas is not raping women and there is no proof they done such a horrible act. It is part of the dehumanizing campaign Israel is promoting to influencers in the West. You see it when they are constantly deflecting from the images of Gaza being destroyed by American and European sponsored Israeli weapons. In their minds, they are justifying the brutal starvation, endless slaughter of children, men, women, journalists and doctors are collateral damage. 

Hamas stated the reasons for the attack on occupation forces. It has nothing to do with the Jewish religion or Iran.

Middletown To Tear Down Towne Mall Galleria!

The fate of the Towne Mall Galleria hangs in the balance.

An anticipated demolishing of a former mall to make way for a proposed mixed used retail housing development.

When you exit Interstate 75 to Ohio State Route 122, you enter the city of Middletown, the hometown of James Donald Berman (JD Vance).

The city has not introduced any longstanding memorial to the 50th Vice President of the United States. I mean why should they?

There has not been any improvements to the city since President Donald J. Trump returned to office. Rep. Warren Davidson (R-OH) is a lazy lawmaker. He opposed the Inflation Reduction Act and the American Recovery and Investment Act.

The city of Middletown got a portion of the infrastructure law and is using it to make the community a little bit better.

The long-vacant Towne Mall Galleria in Middletown is set for a transformation as city leaders collaborate with a private development firm to revitalize the site.

The 32-acre property, owned by the city, has been unused since the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Our main focus here is to find something that, again, kind of brings some vibrancy to the site," Middletown Economic Development Program Manager Jacob Schulte said.

This week, city officials entered a pre-development agreement with Midland Atlantic Properties to determine the future of the space.

Schulte emphasized the community's desire for local shopping and entertainment options within the community.

Middletown has plans for a new lifestyle town center since 2024.

"One of the biggest things we hear from our community time and time again is that they so often leave the city of Middletown to go do their shopping and to go do their entertainment. That's something that we definitely want to focus in on to make sure that we provide the retail and entertainment amenities that the community would like to see here."

The city has allocated $7.9 million to the project, with an additional $2.5 million from the state for demolition. While still in the early stages, the project aims to include restaurants, shops, entertainment options, and possibly apartments.

"The city is still excited and interested to hear from the citizens and the folks, all of our stakeholders, as to what exactly they would like to see here," Schulte said. "We hope that the best of our ability is to be able to kind of blend those two concepts between what the market is demanding as well as what the community would like to see into a great final product for the community."

Finalized plans and demolition are expected to commence early in 2026. Nearby businesses such as Planet Fitness, Gabe's, and Burlington will remain open and are not part of the redevelopment project.

Trump Burger Cooking Up An ICE Meal!

A feverent Trump supporter is in a ICE detention center. He and his business partners launched a MAGA themed restaurant in Texas. President Donald J. Trump is at the golf course on the parr while most Americans and immigrants are in fear of what could happen if something impacts their finances, health or safety.

ICE is Immigration Customs Enforcement, an agency associated with the Department of Homeland Security. It is carrying out violent encounters in the U.S.

Roland Beainy is a Lebanese immigrant who operates restaurants in and around Houston.

According to an ICE spokesperson, Beainy, 28, was supposed to leave the country by Feb. 12, 2024. They said he initially entered the country in 2019, but he overstayed his visa.

Lebanon is a country that had land illegally seized by Israel. Obviously, Israel had a hand in the decision. Trump, Gov. Greg Abbott, ICE and folks who snitch on immigrants are racist Zionists.

Will he still go MAGA for Trump?

The ICE spokesperson said Beainy doesn't have any immigration benefits that would prevent him from being arrested or removed from the country.

On May 16, he was arrested and put into immigration proceedings.

On June 13, an immigration judge granted his request for bond while he waits for the proceedings to unfold.

An ICE spokesperson said the agency is committed to holding those who are violating immigration laws accountable, regardless of their business or political beliefs.

Once touted as anti-establishment, O'Shea Jackson, Sr. retooled himself as the businessman y'all love to hate. He was a principal figure in helping President Donald J. Trump win over Black men. He fell into the trap of dehumanizing former vice president Kamala Harris.

Yeah, I had reasons for Harris. Namely her support for Israel and parrotting Zionism.

Ice Cube wanted that tax break. He felt that prosecutor Harris would be a threat to Black men. He was secretly working with Van Jones, Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump and Katrina Pierson to push a Republican plan for the Black voters.

Rotten Tomatoes has the 2025 movie at a 0% rating. That is a rare feat especially for a thriller that is a reboot of the iconic 1950s film.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officer Will Radford works for a government surveillance program that can monitor every person on Earth. While helping FBI agents try to find a mysterious hacker, known as "Disruptor," meteors begin striking all over the planet. Large machines emerge from these and start attacking humans, which Will, and a friend from NASA, ascertain to be an alien invasion.

The president authorizes a military response, which other governments soon follow. Despite initial success, Will notices the machines concentrate around data centers worldwide. The larger machines then disperse smaller insectoid creatures to harvest the data inside these buildings. This allows the aliens to strengthen their machines and continue to defeat human forces. Will also discovers that Disruptor is his son, Dave. Dave sends him a link to classified information about a surveillance operation known as "Goliath." Reading these files, Will discovers that alien ships had previously arrived on Earth, and that the government knew they fed on data. Despite warnings that activating Goliath could alert the aliens, Director of Homeland Security, Donald Briggs, chooses to activate it anyway. Will confronts Briggs, who claims his actions were necessary to keep people safe. Briggs then locks Will out of the DHS system.

With the help of Dave and his team of hackers, Will re-enters the system, and they plant a virus to disable the aliens' machines. Though it works at first, the aliens shake off the virus and continue fighting. They are also able to locate and kill most of the hackers, except Dave. The military plans to bomb the DHS headquarters (under which Goliath is kept), to ensure the aliens can't access the system. With the help of Dave and his biologist daughter, Faith, Will breaks into the bunker in time and shuts down Goliath. With Goliath down, the military calls off the bombing.

Some time later, the aliens are defeated, and Will and Dave are celebrated as heroes. Briggs' crimes are exposed and he is arrested, and Faith is credited with using her DNA studies to ensure the aliens' defeat. Will is offered to lead a new surveillance program that won't interfere with people's privacy, but he declines, saying, "Now, I'm watching you."

Ice Cube, known for gangster rap, slapstick comedy and slice of life takes a gamble on seriousness.  Peter Debruge of Variety considered the film to be a poor adaptation of The War of the Worlds, criticizing the film's use of screenlife elements, Ice Cube's performance, and excessive Amazon product placement.

Kia dealership in Lima, Ohio got a woman so angry, she literally took the name.

An Ohio woman took revenge on a Kia dealership that repossessed her vehicle.

The woman managed to take the namesake of the dealership.

Tiah McCreary purchased a vehicle from Taylor Kia of Lima in February 2024. She signed the paperwork with the finance manager, which included an agreement to settle legal disputes through arbitration, according to court documents.

She applied for financing through Global Lending Services with the help of the finance manager and received a preliminary loan approval for the required amount.

McCreary left the dealership in a 2022 Kia K5, but GLS later determined that her income information was not sufficient to complete the loan, according to the documents. Because she no longer had the financing, in March, the dealership repossessed the car.

The woman was exploring her legal options when she noticed that the name “Taylor Kia of Lima” was no longer registered with the Ohio Secretary of State’s Office because Taylor Cadillac did not submit a renewal application, according to documents. McCreary decided to register “Taylor Kia of Lima” under her name.

McCreary sent a cease and desist letter to the dealership, informing it that the name was registered to her.

She then filed a complaint against Taylor Cadillac — which opened the Kia dealership in 2012 — and the lending company, accusing them of violating the Consumer Sales Practices Act. Months later, Taylor Cadillac and GLS filed a motion for arbitration and included an arbitration agreement signed by McCreary.

In October 2024, a trial court granted Taylor Cadillac’s motion for arbitration and dismissed the case without prejudice, court documents show.

McCreary appealed later that month and argued that her signature was placed on the arbitration agreement without her knowledge and that it was invalid because the “Taylor Kia of Lima” name was not registered. She also argued that the arbitration agreement for purchasing a vehicle should not apply to the use of “Taylor Kia of Lima,” which was now registered to McCreary.

Judge John R. Willamowski ruled that McCreary should have known she was signing an arbitration agreement and noted that the arbitration agreement stated it was between the purchaser and “Taylor Automotive Group, which includes Taylor Cadillac…,” therefore, the agreement was valid.

However, the judge did rule that the dispute over the use of the name “Taylor Kia of Lima” does not fall within the scope of the arbitration agreement because it is not related to the purchase of the vehicle.

“[T]his claim should not have been dismissed and sent to arbitration,” Willamowski wrote.

The judge remanded the case to the trial court for further proceedings. Judge Juergen A. Waldick and Judge William R. Zimmerman concurred with Willamowski’s opinion.

A scheduling conference is scheduled for Aug. 18 to determine the next steps in the case.

School shootings so far: 87 school shootings.

It was a damn school and police shooting. The suspect is dead and a police officer is injured. Here comes the far right trolls hoping the suspect isn't white.

They are hoping the shooter is:

• Black
• Muslim
• Immigrant
• Transgender
• A disgruntled activist 
• A facility worker who supported Democrats
• All of the above

Nonetheless, a school shooting at Emory University, one of Atlanta's largest private universities in the metro area.

One suspect is deceased. The police have confirmed an officer was shot.

President Donald J. Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Gov. Brian Kemp, Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA), Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA), the U.S. House members from Georgia and mayor Andre Dinkens were notified.

The reports of an active shooter near the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Emory University campuses Friday, authorities said.

No civilians are believed to have been injured, but several rounds hit buildings on the CDC’s sprawling campus, said Atlanta Police Chief Darin Schierbaum. CDC employees circulated photos from inside the buildings that appear to show numerous windows with bullet impacts in them.

The shooter was armed with a long gun, and authorities recovered three other firearms at the scene, according to a law enforcement official who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the ongoing investigation.

The unstoppable force of guns.

The gunman was found on the second floor of a building across the street from the CDC and died at the scene, Schierbaum said.

“We do not know at this time whether that was from officers or if it was self-inflicted,” Schierbaum said. A white car with an open truck was part of the crime scene and is being searched, he added, but it’s still unclear if it belonged to the suspect.

Authorities said there is no longer a threat to the public. Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens said the man’s motive is not known because investigation is still in the “preliminary stages.”

Staff at a nearby deli said they heard what sounded like a string of gunshots. “It sounded like fireworks going off, one right after the other,” said Brandy Giraldo, the chief operating officer of The General Muir restaurant.

Emory University announced in a post on X that the shelter-in-place order on campus had been lifted, but asked people to avoid the area. By around 6 p.m., a warning siren repeatedly sounded near the Emory and CDC campuses, as law enforcement vehicles parked throughout the streets.

Gov. Brian Kemp praised the efforts of first responders.

“Twice this week, deranged criminals have targeted innocent Georgians,” Kemp said, referring to the shooting at Fort Stewart. “Each time, brave first responders rushed toward the danger to subdue the shooter and save lives, reminding us of just how crucial they are.”

Emory’s main campus, Emory University Hospital and the CDC are surrounded by affluent wooded neighborhoods in northeast Atlanta. All three institutions line up along Clifton Road. The area is hard to access, and notoriously traffic-choked, but on Friday few cars were in evidence.

Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr said “we’re horrified by the news out of Emory University and praying for the safety of the entire campus community.”

Trump gave us open season.

These murderers don't have mental illness. They are calculated and prepared. It happened to be a moment where they have the opportunity to take out lives.

There's no sickness in the head. Most mass shooters legally obtain their assault rifles without little background checks. They have likely no criminal history and they are willing to use the assault weapon in the only thing it's good for: Killing numerous lives.

I dismiss this ridiculous notion that criminals are the problem, not the guns. 

Firearms are often obtained through legal purchases. 

Again, having more security, teachers being armed and offering safe rooms are not solving the problem. The problem is lawmakers not willing to stop gun violence.

According to the far right: White shooters are mentally ill. Black shooters are unrepentant thugs and criminals. Gay shooters are active groomers. Muslim shooters are terrorists. Hispanic and Asian shooters are illegal immigrants. According to the far right, almost all white [or non-white] mass shooters are registered Democrats [or some progressive activist] because they have liked or done one thing common to the left. Of course, they often share or post disinformation by using the "Sam Hyde" meme or make bogus social media platforms with the shooter's image as a way to denounce most mass shooters being white or associated with conservative causes. The far right says a white person should "protect" themselves from thugs, terrorists or protesters. They believe the use of firearms are "justified" if they are protesting or even instigating a conflict. The far right believes if a shooter is a police officer, an active military member, a veteran or a citizen who supports conservative causes, they are considered a "heroes" and use of firearms are justified. If the shooters are teens in urban communities, the far right automatically assumes the gunmen are Black.

The Republicans usually amplify white victims. Anytime a person of color kills a white victim, it is often wall-to-wall coverage on Fox, Twitter and they force it into national news. They make the case to blame Black Lives Matter, Barack Obama, Kamala Harris, Democrats, Rev. Al Sharpton and rap music for Black on whatever violence. Republican legislators who do not live in urban neighborhoods often troll social media to talk about gun violence or crime in Chicago, Baltimore, Milwaukee and New York City while not doing a damn thing to stop it. If a white person shoots a Black person, the shooter is given the benefit of doubt. White shooters are given glowing profiles about their perfect lives and how friends noticed something but refused to do something. When it comes to Black shooters, automatic vilification. They don't see mental illness. They see it as gang violence, allegedly fatherless homes, Democratic policies or the need for more firearms. 

Holding these lawmakers accountable is not just a pledge, but a promise. You need to learn who represents your community. Your local community member, your school board member, your mayor, your state representative, your state senator, your governor, your U.S. Representative, your U.S. Senator and the president need to be held accountable for their actions. 

Expect more and more mass shootings.

We need to put pressure on Republicans and Democrats to do something to improve everyone's lives.

Keep pressure on them with Israel. 

Israel must be held accountable for war crimes and the U.S. must end its aid. 

Our taxpayer money should not help Israel any further.

Republicans have extremely unpopular ideas. They will find out the risk of supporters being turned off by their policies.

Biden, Harris and the Democratic Party failed at understanding what is more important to the country. Trump, Vance and the Republican Party have already failed at understanding.

Both parties support of Israel had made some Arab Americans, Muslim and young voters vote against them. They have cost Biden a second term and Harris a historical victory.

Let them know that "thoughts and prayers," "hearts going to" and "good guys with guns" are no longer acceptable and you want legislation to curb gun violence. Let them know that we are tired of police officers using immunity when committing death of suspects in custody. Let them know that deporting law abiding immigrants seeking refuge is inhumane. You want our American military out of the Middle East and every fucking international conflict in the world. You want legislation to focus on ending gun violence, lowering the cost of rent, lowering the cost of food, lowering the cost of hospital visits, improving healthcare and building relationships with other nations. Let them know that pulling out of the UN Human Rights Organization, World Health Organization and Paris Climate Accords will put the U.S. in danger when catastrophic event happen. Let them know that you are tired of private equity firms getting away with destroying small businesses and long established companies. Let them know that you are tired of your taxpayer money going to foreign nations like Israel and Ukraine. You are tired of hearing about "Israel having a right to..." and the bogus claims of being anti-semitic or in support of terrorism. 

We have bigger issues at home and our tax dollars should solve the housing crisis, lowering food prices, fixing roads, bridges, helping reinvest in struggling urban and rural communities. We have hospitals closing, big box retailers leaving communities and television programs dying. There are bigger issues in the country than Israel. You want an immediate ceasefire and accountability for war crimes done by Israel. You want no more foreign influence in American elections. You also want to make sure future presidents and lawmakers avoid influence from lobbyists.

Chaos And No End In Sight: Trump Fires IRS Commissioner!

Trump fires his IRS commissioner. He demoted him to be an ambassador to Iceland, a country that has tension with the president.

Billy Long, a longtime Republican and supporter of President Donald J. Trump was fired on Friday as the Internal Revenue Service commissioner. Secretary of Treasury Scott Bessett will fill the interim role.

He will not be completely gone. He is the nominee for Ambassador to Iceland.

Long was removed aftet he served less than two months after his confirmation, a White House official said Friday.

It was not immediately clear why Long was dismissed. His quick exit makes him the shortest-tenured IRS commissioner confirmed by the Senate since the position was created in 1862.

Long said in a social media post that Trump had nominated him for an ambassadorship.

“It is a honor to serve my friend President Trump and I am excited to take on my new role as the ambassador to Iceland. I am thrilled to answer his call to service and deeply committed to advancing his bold agenda. Exciting times ahead!” the former Missouri congressman wrote on X.

Guess who got Billy Long fired?

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent will serve as acting IRS commissioner, according to the White House official, who was not authorized to speak publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.

Long’s ouster only compounds the turmoil at the nation’s tax collector, which has been beset by turnover since the beginning of Trump’s second term. The IRS shuffled through four acting leaders before Long was confirmed in June and has lost a quarter of its staff since the Department of Government Efficiency burrowed in in a self-stated mission to reduce waste, fraud and abuse.

In a message to IRS employees after he was confirmed, Long talked about his plans for his first few months in office, a milestone he did not reach.

“In my first 90 days I plan to ask you, my employee partners, to help me develop a new culture here,” Long wrote. “I’m big on culture, and I’m anxious to develop one that makes your lives and the taxpayers’ lives better.”

In many ways, he was an unusual pick for the role. While in Congress, where he served from 2011 to 2023, Long sponsored legislation to get rid of the IRS. A former auctioneer, Long had no background in tax administration.

The Senate confirmed Long on a 53-44 vote despite Democrats’ concerns about the Republican’s past work for a firm that pitched a fraud-ridden coronavirus pandemic-era tax break and about campaign contributions he received after Trump nominated him.

Billy Long is a fast talking asshole. He is a former long speak auctioneer in Springfield, Missouri. He served Congress for six terms.

After leaving Congress to mount an unsuccessful 2022 bid for the U.S. Senate, Long worked with a firm that distributed the pandemic-era employee retention tax credit. That tax credit program was eventually shut down after then-IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel determined that it was fraudulent.

Democrats called for a criminal investigation into Long’s connections to other alleged tax credit loopholes. The lawmakers allege that firms connected to Long duped investors into spending millions of dollars to purchase fake tax credits.

The acting Ieaders who preceded Long in the role included one who resigned over a deal between the IRS and the Department of Homeland Security to share immigrants’ tax data with Immigration and Customs Enforcement and another whose appointment led to a fight between former Trump adviser Elon Musk and Bessent.

Long’s departure comes after the agency underwent a series of DOGE-related job cuts this year. The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration reports that the agency has been cut down from 103,000 workers in January to 77,000 workers in May 2025. Most of the reductions came from DOGE’s deferred resignation program. The workforce reductions were part of the Trump administration’s efforts to shrink the size of the federal bureaucracy.
