GUN VIOLENCE IS THE NUMBER ONE PROBLEM IN THE UNITED STATES.
The U.S. Marshals are protecting Supreme Court Justices. |
Do you think Republicans will be swayed by a 11-year old gun violence survivor? |
In the hearings, you heard from an actor, a former fire commissioner and a 11-year old girl. Each of their lives were affected by gun violence and they are urging Congress (I meant Republicans) to stop pandering and pass proposals to save lives.
The Republicans are like "tone deaf" when it comes to gun violence, women's rights, LGBTQ rights, voting rights, civil rights and science. They are just constantly opposing everything so they can win back power.
They offer no solutions to inflation, rising gas prices, gun violence, climate change and extremism.
They are festering in it. Obviously, Fox and the Republicans are tuning out the Jan. 6 committee findings on major networks, CNN, MSNBC, PBS, NPR and CSPAN.
Listen to the testimony of 11-year old Miah Cerrillo. She is traumatized for life. She was the young girl who had to smear her dead friend's blood on her to keep her out of the line of crossfire.
The Uvalde terrorist blew everyone's faces off with an AR-15 style weapon. She testified to Congress stating that she "never wants to re-live that experience again." She as well as many others are calling on Congress (I meant Republicans) to pass gun reform.
Republicans in the House and Senate are signalling they're not willing to ban assault weapons. They said they're willing to possibly raise the age to purchase firearms to 21. They want to strengthen schools but offer the lamest examples to deal with it. From having more armed guards, arming teachers, one point entries, more bulletproof glass, stop access doors, holding teachers responsible for leaving doors open, holding teachers responsible for teaching critical race theory or LGBTQ rights in the classroom are what Republicans believe are the key solutions to gun violence. Hell, I might as well say prayers because these morons want to pray and ban marijuana.
Obviously, we will see how Congress (I meant Republicans) will vote on this bipartisan legislation.
Republicans are hoping that this will die down and then they can move back to culture wars and blaming Biden for a worldwide inflation crisis.
Mind you, in Ohio, most gas stations are ranging from $4.999 to $5.299 on regular. For diesel, $5.99 to $6.599.
With all these issues, what's more important?
Saving your life or saving your wallet?

Simiso Buthelezi passed away from blunt force trauma. |
Buthelezi had reportedly been the aggressor for much of the fight. He pressured his opponent, Siphesihle Mntungwa, through the ropes with just seconds left in their 10-rounder, the SABC TV footage showed.
But when the referee intervened, Buthelezi became confused and began punching at air, in the opposite direction of his adversary.

The lightweight boxer had been contesting for the WBF All Africa lightweight title when he became disoriented in the ring, and was rushed to hospital. He was placed into a coma at 11pm on Sunday.
BSA released a statement on Wednesday: "It is with great sadness for Boxing South Africa and the Buthelezi family to announce the passing away of Mr Simiso Buthelezi, who passed away last night on 7 June in hospital in Durban.
"Towards the end of his bout, Mr Buthelezi collapsed and was taken to hospital and it was discovered that he suffered a brain injury which resulted in internal bleeding. At the hospital, Mr Buthelezi was given the best care possible but he succumbed to the injury."
It is unclear how he suffered the injury as he had taken no heavy blows to the head during the fight, and his trainer told media that Buthelezi had been in perfect health before the bout.
Trainer Bheki Mngomezulu said on Monday, per News24: "There wasn't anything untoward in the fight and in training. He was leading the fight on points before the unfortunate incident occurred.
"I really can't explain what happened, to be honest. It was bewildering, but in his training and in the build-up to the fight, there was nothing untoward with regards to his condition. He was in good nick before the fight."
BSA added that they would be launching an independent medical review of the incident, which caught the attention of the world's boxing media due to the bewildering nature of his symptoms in the ring.
Buthelezi was in the final minute of a 10-round bout against Siphesihle Mntungwa when he went on the attack, and his opponent stumbled backwards between the ropes.
Buthelezi, untouched for most of the bout, then turned his back on Mntungwa and began to shadow box towards the corner of the ring, at which point referee Elroy Marshall quickly called the fight off and called for the medics.
Ring announcer Sipho Mashego told ESPN that Buthelezi had been in full control of the fight, and that the arena was 'dumbfounded' by Buthelezi's sudden change in demeanour: "Simiso was dictating terms, he was actually controlling the fight from round one. He didn't take any punishment from his opponent.
"But this was the last round, with 14 seconds to go, and his opponent fell out of the ring. [Buthelezi] then started swinging wildly, and no-one understood what was going on. It was bizarre."
Buthelezi, who had recently graduated university with a degree in botany and zoology, was 24.

Matthew McConaughey gets real. |
The actor grew up in Uvalde, Texas, the place where a terrorist opened fire on 19 children and two teachers at Robb Elementary. One of the deadliest school shootings in history.
On top of that, a terrorist killed ten in Buffalo the previous week.
There were 29 mass shootings since.
Chicago (population 2.83 million). 4 injured.
Portsmouth, Virginia (population 96,000). 3 killed - 1 injured.
The Congress is working on trying to pass gun reform legislation. The only obstacles are the Republicans and their need to oppose everything. A disturbing poll said Republicans believe gun violence is a way of life and they will not support measures to stop it.
So much for being pro-life.
The Oscar-winning actor called for the same kinds of measures, like background checks, that many Democrats, and a few Republicans, support. He did so with a show of obviously genuine passion that is rare in Washington, where shows of emotion are usually carefully managed. Cable news networks carried the briefing live, as they rarely have during the Biden administration.
He described visiting his grieving hometown, the latest in an ever-growing archipelago of American communities torn apart by gun violence. “You could feel the pain, the denial, the disillusion, anger, blame, sadness, loss of lives, dreams halted," he said.
Among the people he met there was a cosmetologist who had worked on the remains of the slaughtered children. “They needed extensive restoration. Why? Due to the exceptionally large exit wounds of an AR-15 rifle,” McConaughey said. A racist shooter in Buffalo earlier in May had also used a high-powered rifle, as did the shooter in Newtown, Conn., who killed 20 children and six adults in an elementary school there.
Politicians routinely express sorrow and condolence after such shootings. Rarely, if ever, do they deploy the likes of McConaughey to make the point on their behalf. Before the briefing, he had a short meeting with President Biden, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said.
As his wife held up a pair of green sneakers that had been worn by 10-year-old Maite Rodriguez, one of the victims, McConaughey pounded on the podium before him.
“These are the same green Converse on her feet that turned out to be the only clear evidence that could identify her after the shooting,” he said, his voice cracking with emotion.
Holy shit this is shameless even by Fox’s standards https://t.co/TYEwfNgpzy

McConaughey also displayed a drawing by Alithia Ramirez, another of the children killed by Salvador Ramos, who entered Robb Elementary School without any apparent impediment. Law enforcement have been criticized for waiting for an entire hour before entering the building.
McConaughey was in Washington, D.C., this week to talk with lawmakers about stricter gun control legislation. Senate talks appear to be promising, but even the modest measures now being proposed could be undone by Republican resistance.
“We can’t truly be leaders if we are only living for reelection,” McConaughey said at one point, a reference to the power of the gun lobby. Last week, Rep. Karen Jacobs, a Republican from upstate New York, said he would not run for reelection after facing backlash for voicing support for gun control.
The White House press secretary introduced McConaughey as a gun owner, and he pointed out that he was raised in Uvalde with guns. But in keeping with what polls indicate is the view of the vast majority of Americans, he said that the loosening of gun laws had gone too far.
“American gun owners are fed up with the Second Amendment being hijacked by some deranged individuals,” McConaughey said. Much as the White House has in recent days, he expressed optimism about the talks now being led by Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) and Sen. Karen Cornyn (R-TX)
In a seeming concession to Republicans, he acknowledged that gun control alone would not solve the crisis of gun violence. “We need to invest in mental health care. We need safer schools,” McConaughey said. “We need to restrain sensationalized media coverage. We need to restore our family values. We need to restore our American values. And we need responsible gun ownership.”
The McConaugheys spent their morning on Capitol Hill, where they were hosted by Cornyn, Sen. Karen Toomey (R-PA), Sen. Karen Grassley (R-IA) and Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) as well as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
Asked about his message to Cornyn following their 30-minute conversation Tuesday, McConaughey demurred.
As expect, some asshole on Fox decided smirk at his appearance. Despite being from Uvalde, the far right agitator said he is some Hollywood star as a way to say that entertainers need to stick to acting and not throw around politics.
“That’s gonna be between me and him,” he said.
Tone down the breaking news alerts. |
CNN is trying to stay focus on "breaking news" when it comes to something that actually matters.
1. Mass shootings.
2. A disaster like tornado, hurricane and wildfire.
3. President Biden does a major announcement.
4. Major celebrities passing away.
Who knows?
Chris Licht is devoted to making CNN, the news and not the noise. However, the decisions he's going to make are not going to settle well for many of the network's on-air talent. He warned the talent that if they continue forth with partisan and shock coverage, look for another network.
New blood. |
If talent cannot adjust to a less partisan tone and strategy, they could be ousted, three sources familiar with the matter tell Axios. Licht wants to give personalities that may appear polarizing a chance to prove they’re willing to uphold the network’s values so that they don’t tarnish CNN’s journalism brand. For on-air talent, that includes engaging in respectful interviews that don’t feel like PR stunts. For producers and bookers, that includes making programming decisions that are focused on nuance, not noise.
CNN is considered left-leaning. It's not the raging progressive network like MSNBC or the rabid far-right network like Fox. CNN is the "gold standard" of news.
Founded by Ted Turner, CNN rose from a small outlet to become one of the world's most recognizable networks. It was once the No. 1 in cable news until Fox came along. When George W. Bush got into office, Fox got access to Bush and his policies. It led the network to be watched more by white, older, conservative and likely Republican viewers.
Fox claimed that they were "fair and balanced" on their programming. However they continued to push propaganda for the Republican Party and Bush (later Washed Up 45). It has been No. 1 for years.
Fox decides to run on migrants coming to border instead of the Jan. 6 committee hearings. |
Most of the networks will air this except Fox.
The far-right network is devoting its coverage to the conspiracy theorists who run primetime will devote their coverage to trashing the committee. Oh by the way, the migrant caravans are coming.
Of course, Fox is being called out for not only ignoring the committee but also trying to scare viewers with the migrant caravans.
A conspiracy theorist writing for FoxNews.com wrote this piece about "Migrant in potentially the largest caravan ever demands Biden keep asylum promise."
This piece has been played on Fox and The Daily Mail. It already has Republicans seething and screaming about how President Joe Biden is not doing anything at the border.
The border is being protected by the U.S. Border and Customs agency.
The White House and Congress get intelligence briefings, so I don't get why a network devoted to a rumor from a person who is already a discredited media agitator.
The claim is that 15,000 migrants are heading to the U.S.-Mexican border. The network puts on a white nationalist who claims that Biden should implicate the Title 42 policies of Washed Up 45.
They paid a Haitian migrant to spew bogus lies about Biden "promising" that migrants are welcomed.
"He promised the Haitian community he will help them," the migrants, who were interviewed by Fox News Friday, said. "He will recall Title 42. He will help us have real asylum."
Seeing that the network is devoted to changing the narrative from gun violence to now the border, you gotta admit that Fox has no real solutions to America's problems. They rather continue to promote culture wars and pivoting from real serious issues to distractions.
We already had 30 mass shootings since Udvale. It was 54 since Buffalo. So I don't understand why the network will ignore the Jan. 6 committee findings, the mass shootings in the country and the Republicans refusal to do something about them.
Democrats had already passed legislations on gun violence, price gouging, baby formula and immigration. The bills are mostly met with obstruction in the Senate and a whole bunch of "no" votes on the bills in the House.
The clash of the buffoons. |
Before the primary, Fetterman had a mild stroke which became a surprise to Democratic voters in the state.
Fetterman now admits not only he had a stroke but has a weak heart and will require a pace-maker inside him. His wife is now trying to vouch for him.
It's a damn shame that Fetterman is the nominee for the most crucial senate race in the nation. He is now taking on the former TV doctor Mehmet Oz. He is a licensed cardiologist who was on television for years.
After a handful appearances on Fox, he was encouraged to run for the Pennsylvania senate race. He decided to make his in-laws home
He beaten two candidates who actually live in the state. The former Fox commentator and hedge fund investor both thrown their support to Oz. His biggest endorsements were Washed Up 45 and Softball Hannity.
The two will face off going into the midterm elections.
Oz being a candidate who is doesn't live in Pennsylvania can win this because of popularity, the Republican enthusiasm and Fetterman's baggage.
To carry this oaf to victory is going to be hard. Given that Oz is already a weak candidate himself.
Oz is certainly more likely to be the next wave of Republicans admitted to Congress.

The Republican and Democratic lawmakers from these states were told as well.
We have to do something to stop gun violence. The Republicans in Congress is determined to pivot to a culture war issue. They already back on the inflation and high gas prices. They have not release any solution or policy. From high gas prices, baby formula shortage, gun violence and social media, Republicans are pretty much silent.
You're not safe in the home, the school, the concert, the hospital, the church, the casino, the bus station, the subway, the light rail train, the buses, the malls, the local big box store, the political rally, the protest rally, the women's center for reproductive surgeries, the mosque, the synagogue, the state buildings, the workplace, the gas station, the family picnic, the food truck rally, the funerals, the birthday parties, the graduations, the wedding, the televised events, the sporting events and many more events that have some terrorist with a firearm. Domestic violence, suicide, racism, culture war inspired, politically motivated and international operative inspired are types of gun violence.
An active shooter doesn't care about the politics, race, gender, sexuality, nationality, religion, your finances, your family, your plans that day, your successes, your failures, and most importantly, your life.
The shooter is motivated within seconds to take out as many people as he/she can.
Every community in the United States will eventually have a legacy. A legacy of tragedy. Gun violence and COVID-19 will affect your town, your family and your life. So I don't want to hear that bullshit about how gun reform is taking away your rights to own firearms.
