I didn't watch the Commander-in-Chief forum on NBC. It was being hosted by Matt Lauer of Today.
He had an opportunity to give the Democratic and Republican nominee an opportunity to lay out their strategy to command the military if they were elected president.
Let's just say that the forum was a total trainwreck and Lauer was panned for his performance.
Many of Hillary Clinton's supporters criticized Lauer for being too focused on the emails instead of how she can command the country's greatests. Others say that Lauer allowed Donald Trump to lie about his stances and gave him an opportunity to soapbox. Even conservatives were annoyed about Trump's praise of Vladimir Putin, the president of the Russian Federation.
It's not just Sean "Softball" Hannity who's treating Donald Trump with kid gloves, it's the junk food media as well.
Seven weeks to go.
The Commander-in-Chief forum on Wednesday and the Larry King's RT America interview are really examples of how Trump can get away with lying.
Even criticism from Hillary Clinton on Donald Trump and his acolytes is being deplored as an attack on "real Americans".
What is trending today on social media was a comment made by Clinton. #Basketofdeplorables has landed mockery and accusations of playing the race card against Trump.
Trump is ridiculous catching up in polls. The race still favors Clinton but Trump's allies and the soft treatment towards him by the junk food media will make this race forever polarizing.
There's a huge controversy going on in North Dakota. There's a major protest in the state over a proposed pipeline that's slated to go through land that Native Americans claim is very sacred land.
The state's Republican governor Jack Dalrymple called the national guard and state police to stop protesters from accessing water being dirtied from Dakota Access, the company that's proposing a pipeline from North Dakota to Illinois. Some of the security force used pepper spray and dogs on the protesters.
The fight has drawn attention to the plight of Native Americans. It even got a presidential candidate's attention. Dr. Jill Stein, the Green Party nominee is under a slew of controversy after she defaced the equipment. Now she will likely turn herself in and face charges for vandalism.
Dakota Access pipeline route.
This pipeline has gotten the White House involved. President Barack Obama heard the concerns and ordered an immediate halt to the construction of the pipeline. Until the company disclose the issues that of that pipeline, they have to halt construction.
The Hill reports that this controversy is far from over.
The Obama administration said it would not authorize construction on a critical stretch of the Dakota Access pipeline, handing a significant victory to the Indian tribe fighting the project the same day the group lost a court battle.
The administration said construction would halt until it can do more environmental assessments.
The Department of Justice, the Army and the Interior Department jointly announced that construction would pause on the pipeline near North Dakota's Lake Oahe, a major water source on the Missouri River for the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.
The agencies will now decide whether they need to reconsider permitting decisions for the pipeline under the National Environmental Policy Act.
"The Army will move expeditiously to make this determination, as everyone involved — including the pipeline company and its workers — deserves a clear and timely resolution," the agencies said in a statement. "In the interim, we request that the pipeline company voluntarily pause all construction activity within 20 miles east or west of Lake Oahe."
Oil is more scared to Sen. John Hoeven (R-ND) and Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND). These two are inept members of the Senate. The Democratic senator supports Republicans 85% of the time.
The Lake Oahe crossing was a major concern for the tribe, which worries about the impact a leak in the pipeline would have on the lake.
A federal judge Friday denied the tribe's request to halt construction on the 1,170-mile pipeline. The administration's decision came shortly after that decision.
The tribe had sued over the Army Corps' approval of the project under a historic preservation law, but the judge ruled that regulators had acted properly when issuing permitting for the project.
Despite the ruling, the agencies said, "important issues raised by the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and other tribal nations and their members regarding the Dakota Access pipeline specifically, and pipeline-related decision-making generally, remain."
The Army Corps has permitted pipeline construction near Lake Oahe. But, as of last month, federal agencies had not yet issued the easements necessary for construction to begin there.
Dave Archambault II, the chairman of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, hailed the decision, and vowed to continue fighting against the project.
“I want to take a moment and reflect on this historic moment in Indian Country,” Archambault said in a statement. “But I know that our work is not done. We need to to permanently protect our sacred sites and our water. There are areas on the construction route that do not fall within federal jurisdiction, so we will continue to fight.”
Republican governor Jack Dalrymple with John Hoeven and Heidi Heitkamp.
Dakota Access developers had no comment on the decision, but the Midwest Alliance for Infrastructure Now, a group supporting the pipeline, said it was “deeply troubling and could have a long-lasting chilling effect on private infrastructure development in the United States.”
“This is a historic, unprecedented, and overdue move by the Administration that is reflective of the brave and principled stand by the Standing Rock Sioux,” Sierra Club Executive Director Michael Brune said in a statement.
“The Tribe has stood up to combat the oppression and injustice they and Native Americans throughout our country have faced for generations, and the administration was right to recognize it.
Washed up rapper Tyga signed to Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music.
The washed up rapper is apparently signed a deal with Kanye West.
The hip-hop blogs report that Tyga and The Migos are the newest signees to G.O.O.D. Music. But is Tyga still under contract with his old label?
Last year we wrote the rapper off when he started this ridiculous feud with Drake. He was then a signed artist on Lil' Wayne's Young Money and Bryan "Birdman" Williams's Cash Money Records. In 2014, the rapper blasted the label after Birdman scrapped the album Last Kings The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty. The rapper released the album independently on his newly founded Last Kings Entertainment. He asked Kanye West to help him promote the album. Kanye agreed and slapped his executive production to the album (although he didn't contribute to it).
The album was a complete failure. It basically ended Tyga's career. The fallout with Cash Money grew into an all out civil war when Lil' Wayne expressed frustrations with the label delaying his follow up albums.
The rapper has an ongoing relationship with Kylie Jenner, the half sister of celebrity agitator Kim Kardashian West. His ex-girlfriend Blac Chyna who is the mother of his son Cairo is dating Rob Kardashian and is pregnant with their child.
Atlanta group The Migos signed to Kanye's G.O.O.D. Music.
Now Tyga's alleged signing to G.O.O.D. could be a good thing. I mean Tyga has been struggling to pay his bills. He is not an in-demand rapper. His mixtapes and albums were not good.
He was nearly evicted from his home, had his Lamborghini repoed in front of Kylie.
The family has warned Tyga not to take advantage of the 19-year old celebrity agitator.
Kris and Caitlyn Jenner express concerns that Tyga was cheating on Kylie with numerous women and asked Kylie to get a HIV-test. One of the women who warned Kylie was Mia Isabella. She came forth after finding out that she had an affair with Tyga and actor Charlie Sheen. She was a former transgender porn actress.
The Migos were signed to 300 Music and their own label Quality Control Music. They signed a management deal with G.O.O.D. Music. The group consist of Quavo, Offset and Takeoff. They released a handful of mixtapes and their first album Yung Rich Nation (N***as).
Now will they sign to Def Jam or stay landed on their respectful labels?
The college world is rocked by the federal government's sanctions of one of the oldest for-profit trade schools. The ITT Technical Institute is closing all its locations including the one in my community of Dayton, Ohio.
With approximately 130 campuses in 38 states of the United States, this bit of news hurts the people who enrolled for this session. In August, the company was barred from enrolling new students who use government loans and has chosen to cease enrolling any new students at all.
ITT Tech announced that it was immediately ceasing operations and closing all of its campuses.
In 2014, Time magazine ranked ITT Technical Institute No. 2 on its list of "The 5 Colleges That Leave the Most Students Crippled By Debt". Among ITT Tech graduates with loans due in 2011, 22% had defaulted by 2014. According to the Time magazine report, ITT Tech's default rate ranked second; the for-profit University of Phoenix had a lower default rate by percentage (19% at Phoenix versus ITT Tech's 22%), but the total number of students in default from Phoenix was much higher (45,123 Phoenix students versus 11,260 ITT Tech students).
According to the College Scorecard, as of March 2016, 39% of ITT Tech graduates are paying off their debt, compared to the national average of 66% among all schools nationwide.
This percentage represents the number of graduates who were able to repay at least $1 in student loan debt in the three years after their graduation.
The U.S. Department of Education banned ITT Tech from enrolling students who receive federal aid and at the same time doubled the surety funds that ITT Tech was required to have, and to produce those funds within 30 days. Stock markets reacted with a punishing 35% drop which triggered a halt in trading, raising concerns about whether ITT Educational would be able to survive this latest decision
Carousel Beauty College also shut its doors in the Dayton, Ohio area. The five locations are gone.
This came without any warning as well. Many students attending the Dayton-based hair school are without a place.
Ohio authorities end the food stamp lifestyle of a millionaire.
Conservatives are going bananas over an Ohio man whose home was raided this week after an investigation determined he swindled from charities and the state's safety net.
He boasted that his companies developed multi-million dollar properties from Ohio to the tax haven of St. Lucia. It's funny that the well-off do take advantage of the government as well.
Ali Pascal Mahvi lives in Russell Township, Geauga County, Ohio. For nearly two years, his family was given $300 a month in food stamps. They also got assistance in paying their gas and electric bills.
They also got Medicaid.
The feds and Ohio authorities said that this was an act to steal from the state and those in need.
Millionaire played the system like a fox. Ohio and the feds stopped it.
Detectives looking into Mahvi's books. They found that he's got nearly $20 million in earnings and living the life of luxury. He has a home worth $800K, a horse barn, a set of luxury cars, overseas bank accounts and good amount of excuses to why he's not a "bad guy".
A $4 million Swiss bank account and he's paying a monthly mortgage of $4,600. The Mahvi family had claimed nothing and it raised red flags.
He lives in the suburbs of Cleveland living on the lifestyle.
He is an American man of Iranian descent. Of course, you got a two-fer. A man with a funny name who took advantage of an issue conservatives long complained about. A man who steals from the safety net.
As a former governor, twice elected, I can honestly admit that I make mistakes.
This is what former New Mexico and perennial candidate Gary Johnson told the junk food media today after he done some "soul searching".
It seems like the Libertarian presidential nominee failed at geography. He ended up getting ridiculed by both the left and the right for his disastrous appearance on Morning Joe today.
When asked about the crisis in Syria, one of the agitators mentioned the city of Aleppo.
Johnson boldly, said, "What is Aleppo?"
Stoner's fail.
The look on Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski's faces were priceless.
Many in social media criticized Johnson for failing at addressing the Syrian refugee crisis.
Johnson and his running mate Bill Weld are running on the Libertarian ticket. They are trying to court disgruntled Republicans and Democrats who upset over Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton winning their nominations respectively.
Johnson appeared on The View to explain his horrible gaffe.
Also Jill Stein, the Green Party presidential nominee is facing an unfortunate situation as well.
There's a huge fight over a pipeline being built on Native American land in North Dakota. Stein who is opposed to the building of a pipeline wrote graffiti on the construction equipment.
Reminder: Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, Gary Johnson and Jill Stein are perennial candidates. Each of these candidates ran for president.
Transgender performer The Lady Chablis passed away.
A famous transgendered performer who had a role in the movie Midnight In the Garden of Good and Evil has passed away in Savannah, Georgia today.
The Lady Chablis, one of the few transgender actress of the time passed away at the age of 59 from complications of pneumonia.
Originally born Benjamin Edward Knox in Quincy, Florida on March 11, 1957, and never finished high school. She took the name Chablis as a teenager and started to perform in local clubs as a performer.
Chablis was a transgender woman but was also a drag performer. Chablis frequently performed at her "home" nightclub of Club One in Savannah. Chablis also traveled the US performing at various venues and special events, such as gay pride gatherings. She also appeared on radio shows.
The Lady Chablis was featured in the closing segment of the Savannah episode of Bizarre Foods America on The Travel Channel. She joined host Andrew Zimmern at several Savannah restaurants including Elizabeth on 37th. The Lady Chablis in 2012 was interviewed by "MAMA" Savannah Georgia on the local television and internet talk show "MAMA Knows Best Talk Show" season 2 episode 1 and on April 19, 2013 Chablis performed for the grand opening of Mama's Cabaret in Lewiston Maine with "MAMA" Savannah Georgia.
Kelly Ripa is likely to pick Morris Chestnut to replace Michael Strahan. Chestnut was featured in The Best Man, Boyz in the Hood and Fox's Rosewood.
The drama over at Live! may be coming to an end. Kelly Ripa has announced her new host. The news will be dropped soon and people are anticipating on the new host being a famous face.
The possible host is someone familiar with television and movies.
It seems like actor Morris Chestnut is highly favored to be the replacement for Michael Strahan, the ex-NFL star/actor/game show host who abruptly left the show to take on full time duties at GMA.
This was one of the biggest shocks in the junk food media. It sparked a bitter feud between Ripa and Strahan. The two were distant from one another and refuse to acknowledge each other.
Kelly Ripa was struggling to find a decent host.
Chestnut is probably the right choice. Given that Chestnut is 'eye candy" for women and he has notable history appealing with viewers, it's good choice.
Chestnut is on the Fox police drama Rosewood. It's greenlighted for a second season and it will air again on Thursday to replace Bones after it finishes up its final season.
Other possibilities include: Neil Patrick Harris. He would be a suitable choice. He's a famous actor who can entertain and make the show more lively. He's is openly gay and could bring rational views to the show. The actor and business mogul is best friends with Ripa. Neil Patrick Harris and Kelly Ripa were guests of actress Rachael Harris's wedding.
Anderson Cooper, the CNN host and CBS 60 Minutes commentator. With a busy schedule and a failed talk show, it's highly unlikely for him to be the choice. Cooper will moderate the second debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.
Fred Savage and Rob Lowe. Both have appeared on the critically acclaimed sitcom The Grinder. The series was cancelled in the latest round of Fox downsizing its comedy blocks. Savage is a famous child actor now turned famous director and producer. He is working on other sitcoms and directing episodes of New Girl, black-ish, The Goldbergs and Girl Meets World starring his brother Ben Savage.
Lowe, on the other hand was probably a bad choice. Given that he's turned conservative, he will clash with Kelly Ripa on issues like LGBT and Hillary Clinton. Lowe who is critical of Barack Obama would say something that would make the show too political. Lowe is also working on a television series.
We will await the announcement. The new season of Live! begins on Monday.
Sean "Softball" Hannity once wanted Julian Assange locked up. Now he's on the #FreeJulianAssange bandwagon now that Assange is attacking Democrat Hillary Clinton.
The most annoying conservative agitator in radio and television is very desperate. He is gambling his own career as a conservative agitator. He's go all in on getting Donald Trump elected as the next president of the United States.
He hosts a man who helped leak state secrets damaging to the United States.
Julian Assange, the Australian blogger and founder of WikiLeaks got a chance to go on this show to promote his attempts at interfering in the election. He promises to leak damaging things about Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee. He is whipping up a kookspiracy about an alleged DNC staffer leaking private information. He was murdered in Washington, DC and it was a botched robbery. Some are claiming a hit.
Now private emails are meant to be that. Sometimes the reactionary outweighs the rational. Most people view Assange as a despicable person. Some see him as a journalist willing to die for his cause.
To me, Assange is another privileged White person willing to bring attention to himself for click bait.
One can't help but wonder if getting into a person's private email is everyone's business.
Sean "Softball" Hannity never one to shy away from obsession. He is willing to take this guy as a source only if it hurts President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Hannity is comfortable with this.
Hannity is an opportunistic disease. He puts on this phony patriotism and hand wringing for click bait, ratings and ad buys. He is a self serving Republican. He is not a registered conservative as he boast on his right wing carnival.
Many in the junk food media are calling him out for hosting a man he once called for an immediate arrest. In 2010, WikiLeaks leaked classified documents and a video of mishaps in the U.S. coalition fight against terrorism. Hannity, Sarah Palin and Ann Coulter were blasting Obama for failing to arrest Assange.
The leaks lead to the arrest of Army private Chelsea Manning.
Manning is facing 35 years in military time out for giving classified documentation to foreign entities.
Assange is shacked up in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London. The Swedish government wants him on trial for allegations of sexual assault.
Edward Snowden is also holed up in the Russian Federation. He is under investigation for leaking classified information to Wikileaks.
Why does Sean "Softball" Hannity support criminality?
Foreign leader's remarks about our president are praised by conservatives.
President Barack Obama's last months in office will be taking trips to Asia to meet once again with some of the world's leaders. One leader off the list is the Philippines president Rodrigo Duterte.
The meeting between the leaders was canceled. The Philippines leader called President Barack Obama a "son of a bitch".
The president said that he's not going to waste time with this guy because of this.
Obama is concerned about the brutal abuse of criminals in the Philippines. The president has challenged Duterte over extrajudicial killings in the country.
"Clearly, he's a colorful guy," Obama said. "What I've instructed my team to do is talk to their Philippine counterparts to find out is this in fact a time where we can have some constructive, productive conversations."
Some are calling out Duterte for human rights abuse. He's seen scrutiny over his aggressive campaign to end drugs in the country. Over 2,000 dope pushers were taken out.
President Barack Obama had to deal with leaders from hostile nations. Kim Jong-Un of North Korea, Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation, Turkey's Recep Tayyip Erdogan, China's president Xi Jinping are considered hostile leaders by the United States.
We can also add Duterte to the list of leaders.
On his right wing carnival, Sean "Softball" Hannity actually thought it was funny that Obama was called a "son of a bitch" by Duterte.
I want you to remember that the ever patriotic "Softball" Hannity is always attacking our president and kissing the asses of foreign leaders like Benjamin Netanyahu and Putin.
Conservative agitator Greta Van Susteren is abruptly fired out the cannon.
Goodnight folks....
Reports that Greta Van Susteren was fired out the cannon. By her not renewing her contract, it effectively ends her legacy at the Fox News Channel. This bit of news came to light fresh after former anchor Gretchen Carlson got paid out $20 million in a federal lawsuit against former CEO Roger Ailes for sexual harassment.
She is a huge fan of Donald Trump and the network masquerades her as one of the few liberals on the conservative network. In reality, she a conservative agitator who welcomed many of her fellow agitators on to bash President Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Black Lives Matter and Muslims.
No details were given to why she exited Fox News after a nearly 15 year run
Van Susteren was one of the on-air talents that had a clause to leave if Ailes was out.
Fox News presidents Jack Abernathy and Bill Shine said that Greta will be missed and they wish her well on her future post Fox.
A big defender of Ailes, Van Susteren did not respond to request for comment about her departure from the primetime.
This is a big news story for the fact that it's reported that if Donald Trump doesn't win the election, he will focus on launching a network devoted to conservatives.
Word from CNN, the cannon was loading her in. Van Susteren was already on the ropes about staying with the network. Yanking her off the air was abrupt. The tension is strong.
Fox News wiped away everything. Gretawire, her biography and her most popular videos.
Brit Hume will now hold the primetime spot for the next few weeks.
In 2013, Megyn Kelly got promoted to primetime. It effectively shook up the line-up. Greta Van Susteren was demoted. She moved to 7pm. Sean "Softball" Hannity was demoted as well. He was moved to 10pm, Shepard Smith was promoted to breaking news reporting and kept his 3pm show.
So chaos is over at the Avenue of Americas.
Roger Ailes's departure could mark an end of a dynasty. CNN and MSNBC are licking their chops.
If Hillary Clinton does become the 45th President of the United States as well as the first woman to hold the office, Fox News will no longer appeal to conservatives. A bitter Trump will start this network and cease upon the disgruntled conservatives. Greta's probably on board with this notion.
Gretchen Carlson awarded a hefty sum in the sexual harassment lawsuit against Roger Ailes.
It seems like Gretchen Carlson is about to fuck up some commas. She will be awarded $20 million in damages as well as a public apology from the News Corp family. The lawsuit against Roger Ailes over allegation that sexual harassment forced his resignation from Fox News.
Now Fox News is paying Gretchen and many other women big figures.
"We sincerely regret and apologize for the fact that Gretchen was not treated with the respect and dignity that she and all of our colleagues deserve", 21st Century Fox said in a statement.
In the lawsuit, Gretchen said that Ailes was repeatedly sexually harassing her and numerous colleagues. She also said that Steve Doocy was mistreating her and talking her down while on camera.
In a public statement, Gretchen lets the world know that she's appreciative of how this was settled.
"I'm ready to move on to the next chapter of my life in which I will redouble my efforts to empower women in the workplace. I want to thank all the brave women who came forward to tell their own stories and the many people across the country who embraced and support me in their #StandWithGretchen movement. All women deserve a dignified and respectful workplace in which talent, hard work, and loyalty are recognized, revered and rewarded."
Gretchen for two years recorded Ailes through her iPhone. She got with a tech and her lawyer to record him saying pretty damning things about her and other women. She had her phone tamper proof.
The audio does exist and Fox wanted to put the brakes on this before it would damage its brand even further.
Now Roger Ailes is trying to retaliate against New York Magazine and Gabriel Sherman. He decided to hire the lawyer who went after Gawker Media.
Charles Harder was the lawyer who was successful in helping Hulk Hogan win his lawsuit against Gawker.
Harder sent a letter to the New York Magazine saying that Ailes wants all documents from Gabriel Sherman. Ailes is working on a defamation lawsuit against the magazine and Sherman.
The ignorant freak threatens to sue New York Magazine.
Andrea Tantaros is also suing Ailes and will release damning information if this matter isn't solved.
Sherman who broke the stories about the shenanigans going on behind the scenes. In his book, The Loudest Voice in the Room, Sherman described Ailes as a reclusive, paranoid, and relentless attack dog. He would keep firearms in his office. He would have a wooden door that keep prying eyes from looking in. Ailes would have surveillance on everyone and his enemies.
Ailes personal lawyer and friend Susan Estrich continues to defend this canard. Estrich was a feminist and commentator on Fox News.
Estrich called Sherman a "virus" who has a personal vendetta against Ailes.
Ailes is prepping Donald Trump for the debates. Ailes is advising Trump personally. There's talk that the two may create a television network that might compete with Fox News.
