Eddie Long Passed Away!

Eddie Long, the pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church passed away. He was long accused of being gay even though he preached anti-gay sermons.

The controversial Atlanta pastor of the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church had passed away on Sunday. Eddie Long passed away from an aggressive form of cancer. Or it could have been a latent stage of HIV, who knows?

He died at the age of 63. He was married to Vanessa Griffin-Long and was the father of four children.

"Bishop Long, Senior Pastor of New Birth, transitioned from this life early Sunday morning after a gallant private flight with an aggressive form of cancer," the statement read. "As a man of God with unyielding faith, Bishop Long maintained his commitment to our Heavenly Father as he proclaimed that cancer would not kill his faith nor his spirit."

His wife added, "Eddie is now resting in a better place. Although, his transition leaves a void for those of us who loved him dearly, we can celebrate and be happy for him, knowing he's at peace."

He grew up in North Carolina before settling in Atlanta.

The New Birth Missionary Baptist Church is a megachurch in DeKalb County. Long joined the church in 1987 managed to grow the church to 25,000 members.
Long in 2016.
Long delivered his final sermon to the church earlier this month. He had issued a statement last September to The Christian Post confirming reports that he was battling a "health challenger", but said the undisclosed health issue was unrelated to his raw vegetable diet and requested privacy and prayers for his recovery.

Long was long accused of being gay. He was caught up in numerous scandals involving young men who were groomed by him for sex.
Kim Burrell, a gospel singer and pastor of a Houston church was blackballed after a video surfaced of her bashing gays.
Long was accused of paying men to vacation with him. He would have sex with them without protection. He would put some of his affairs on the church payroll.

He would settle with the accusers for an undisclosed sum. He would not speak on the issue when he does public interviews.

Earlier this year, Kim Burrell, a famed gospel singer and pastor got shade from the Black LGBT community after she was caught on tape bashing gay men. Pharrell Williams, an A-list producer who appears on The Voice severed ties from her. Williams who is straight supports of the LGBT community and found her comments were inappropriate.

Kim Burrell radio show was pulled off the air after she defended her rant. Burrell is banned from many events because she brings too much controversy.

Creflo Dollar Running Some $$$ Game!

Stay scheming. Creflo Dollar is still a money man when it comes to the gospel.

Non-religious affiliation is on the rise. They make up nearly 20% of the American public. Christianity is still the most recognized religion but its on the decline. The younger are not flocking to church on Sunday. They are not preaching the Bible. They're worship to a different god. The digital god.

Facebook and Snapchat are the new gods people are worshiping to.

Could you imagine what goes on in World Changers Mega Church in Atlanta?

Michael Smith (aka Creflo Dollar) is the controversial megachurch pastor who runs the church.

He is still acting a fool and he's willing to defend his buffoonery.

He told his faithful flock of future extremists that he asking for them to donate. Donate for a million dollar jet so he can travel to other nations to spread the gospel.

His first jet was badly damaged after a hard landing in England. Now the greedy minister is calling upon the faithful to give at least $300 or more to help him obtain a new jet.

To replace the old jet, Dollar launched a fundraising campaign to get his followers to pay approximately $60,000,000 for a new Gulfstream G650 jet.

Help the Dollar fly. Buy him a jet.
The jet he wants is the "fastest plane ever built in civilian aviation.".

After receiving immediate backlash, Dollar ended his fundraising campaign. The project was kept as an option on the donation page of ministry's website.

Dollar is known for his controversial teachings regarding prosperity theology, or the gospel of wealth. He has long been criticized for living a lavish lifestyle; he owns two Rolls-Royces, a private jet, and real estate such as a million-dollar home in Atlanta, a $2.5 million home in Demarest, New Jersey, and a $2.5 million home in Manhattan, which he sold for $3.75 million in 2012.

Dollar has refused to disclose his salary. Creflo Dollar Ministries received a grade of "F" for financial transparency by the organization Ministry Watch.

Say It Ain't So, Judge Joe Brown!

Television judge was drunk on camera ranting about being fired from his longtime program.

Since CBS Studios canceled the hit television judge's show, you get to see the worst in him.

Especially under alcohol.

WorldStarHipHop, the entertainment agitator put out a video of Judge Joe Brown in a drunken rant about how he is "pissed" off about his "gig" being cut off.

Judge Joe Brown first went on the air in 1998. Before that, he was a real life criminal courts judge in Shelby County, Tennessee. He started his career as a lawyer and was the first African American prosecutor in Memphis, Tennessee earlier in his career.

Brown won fame when as the real judge in Shelby County, Tennessee, he presided over the appeal of James Earl Ray, who murdered Martin Luther King Jr. Brown was later removed from that case over charges of bias but by then he had caught the eye of the same producers and distributors behind Judge Judy.

Both Judge Brown and Judge Judy are produced in the same Hollywood facility, with courtrooms adjacent to each other. Both are produced by Big Ticket Television, a division of CBS, and distributed by CBS’s CTD.

Brown wasn't the first African American to be a TV judge but he has become the longest running.

You may have found Judge Joe Brown on many Fox/My Network TV stations or CW station. For a few more months or until the repeats air, you'll find the television judge on many syndication networks.

Take for example, Bounce TV. That's TV Our Way!

I guess that salary dispute drove him to drink heavily. It happened to be something that CBS executives saw in the judge after the cameras were off and he was a normal person.

Being a washed up celebrity has finally taken its toll on him.

Donnie McClurkin Booted Off MLK Event!

Gospel singer can't perform because of his controversial statements.

Gospel singer who was "cured" of his homosexuality got send his walking papers.

Donnie McClurkin was scheduled to perform at the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington event in late August.

They believed that McClurkin's new found hatred of the LGBT community would pose a controversy to the event. So they had to boot him. And he's pissed about the decision.

McClurkin is a victim of sexual and substance abuse. He was raped by male family members and was a drug abuser. He claims that religion turned his life around. McClurkin went on to win three Grammy awards, ten Stellar awards, two BET awards, two Soul Train awards, one Dove award and one NAACP Image award for his work.

On Saturday, things changed. He posted a seven-minute video to Socialcam claiming he had been uninvited from the civil rights event because of "politics." He pinned the blame on the mayor, the Arts and Humanities Commission and "a few protestors."

“These are bully tactics simply because of stances that I took never, ever demeaning, never, ever derogatorily addressing any, any lifestyle," he said.

The Washington Post reported Monday that Mayor Vincent C. Gray (D)requested McClurkin not attend after activists challenged the singer's appearance. Gray said he didn't want any "potential controversy" to arise at an event focused on harmony and peace.

“The Arts and Humanities Commission and Donnie McClurkin’s management decided that it would be best for him to withdraw because the purpose of the event is to bring people together,” Doxie McCoy, a spokeswoman for Gray, told the Post. “Mayor Gray said the purpose of the event is to promote peace and harmony. That is what King was all about.”

At least one group has come out in defense of McClurkin. Ex-gay group Voice of the Voiceless is asking for people to sign a petition demanding Gray and the Arts Commission apologize for "discriminating" against McClurkin. The group blamed gay activists for "hijacking" the civil rights event.

McClurkin has made controversial statements in the past about being "delivered from the sin of homosexuality" by God. He has also claimed he was "turned" gay because of childhood molestation and reversed it when he turned to religion.

In 2007, the Grammy-winner made headlines when he was part of a gospel concert for the Obama campaign. At the time, he denied being a homophobe.

"Don't call me a bigot or anti-gay, when I have been touched by the same feelings," he said. "When I have suffered with the same feelings. Don't call me a homophobe, when I love everybody. ... Don't tell me that I stand up and I say vile words against the gay community because I don't. I don't speak against the homosexual. I tell you that God delivered me from homosexuality."

Again, the freedom of speech gives the person the right to be a condescending bigot. This individual is "straight" according to him. He can hide behind GOD and the Bible all he wants. But he can't deny that people think he's gay.

He can be gay, straight or bisexual. It's his right to be who he is.

But don't judge those who are LGBT. They're entitled to live their lives without fear. The LGBT community deserve the right to have marriage. They want to live their lives in happiness. They're not hurting anyone.

Donnie McClurkin appears on Verity Records, LLC/Sony Music Group.

Black Pastor Denounces Obama Over LGBT Rights!

article image
Black pastor warns President Barack Obama about supporting gay marriage. He vows to dismantle the president if he stands in favor of the rights of LGBT.

As the conservative movement rally in defense of fast food restaurant Chick-Fil-A, another round of agitators comes out in defense of traditional marriage. This time it's a Black pastor who comes out of nowhere and makes the case to claim the president's recent endorsement of equal marriage rights for LGBT Americans is considerably a "Judas" move. This Black pastor demands that President Barack Obama retract his stance or face the wrath of the Black church sitting it out or endorsing Republican Mitt Romney.

It's getting play in the right wing radio, this pastor William Owens, of the Coalition of African American Pastors has come out of the woodwork to slam the president and vow to dismantle the president's core supporters. The Black support is overwhelmingly high. Over 85% of the registered African American voters support the president. This is crucial in an election where a candidate could benefit from a high turnout of first/second time voters.

Owens, a Black conservative pastor who is wrapped around The National Organization for Marriage (NOM) wants the president to stand with the religious Black leaders and remove himself from the notion of same sex marriage. He claims that he marched for the civil rights movement and declared that this movement doesn't include the rights of LGBT.

“The President is in the White House because of the civil rights movement, and I was a leader in that movement, and I didn’t march one inch, one foot, one yard for a man to marry a man or a woman to marry a woman.

“So the President has forgotten the price that was paid. People died or they suffered or they gave their blood to have equal rights in the United States. And for the homosexual community and for [Obama] to bow to the money, as Judas did with Jesus Christ, is a disgrace and we are ashamed. We will not take it back. We will not back down. We are going to take action across this country to change the course that this President has us in.” says Owens.

The National Organization for Marriage tries to bring forth a wedge between Blacks and the gay community.

When President Barack Obama endorsed the notion of gay marriage, conservatives felt the time is now to get his movement dispirited. They worked hard to get things done. In North Carolina, a constitutional amendment was passed forbidding any notion of endorsing legalized gay marriage.

Black Couple Denied Marriage By A Southern Baptist Church!

Charles and Te'Andrea Wilson's wedding banned because they are black
Denied a marriage, Charles and Te'Andrea Wilson are expressing outrage over their church's ultra-conservative members rejecting Black couples from getting married.
The first ever Black leader of the Southern Baptist Church Fred Luter has a lot of baggage on his hands. The most conservative Christian domination in the United States is still a little uneasy about the addition of Black people into their folds. We here at Journal de la Reyna will talk about in the ongoing struggle for social justice. A Black couple in Mississippi regularly attends at a local church and had plans on getting married. It's marred with controversy.

They were turned away after the pastor raised concerns about his congregation and their feelings towards Blacks. According to the WLBT, a NBC affiliate television station out of Jackson, Mississippi, Charles and Te'Andrea Wilson were planning their big day, but the couple says the church where they were planning to wed turned them away because of their race.

Now, the couple wants answers, and the church's pastor is questioning the mindset of some of members of his congregation who caused the problem in the first place.

They had set the date and printed and mailed out all the invitations, but the day before wedding bells were to ring for Charles and Te'Andrea Wilson, they say they got some bad news from the pastor.

"The church congregation had decided no black could be married at that church, and that if he went on to marry her, then they would vote him out the church," said Charles Wilson.

The Wilsons were trying to get married at the predominantly white First Baptist Church of Crystal Springs -- a church they attend regularly, but are not members of.

"He had people in the sanctuary that were pitching a fit about us being a black couple," said Te'Andrea Wilson. "I didn't like it at all, because I wasn't brought up to be racist. I was brought up to love and care for everybody."

The church's pastor, Dr. Stan Weatherford, says he was taken by surprise by what he calls a small minority against the black marriage at the church.

"This had never been done before here, so it was setting a new precedent, and there are those who reacted to that because of that," said Weatherford.

Weatherford went on and performed the wedding at a nearby church.

"I didn't want to have a controversy within the church, and I didn't want a controversy to affect the wedding of Charles and Te' Andrea. I wanted to make sure their wedding day was a special day," said Weatherford.

After months of planning, the newlyweds say they had no choice but to go through with the wedding at the new location, but they still can't understand why a church would ban their wedding because of race.

"I blame the First Baptist Church of Crystal Springs, I blame those members who knew and call themselves Christians and didn't stand up," said Charles Wilson.

Church officials say they welcome any race into their congregation. They now plan to hold internal meetings on how to move forward, should this situation occur again.

"I was prepared to go ahead and do the wedding here just like it was planned, and just like we agreed to," said Weatherford. "I was just looking for an opportunity to be able to address a need within our congregation and at the same time minister to them."

Defending The Dollar!

This is a big scandal in the religious world. Crefelo Dollar a mega church pastor who attracts millions of people worldwide is involved in a scandal.

The World Changers Church International located in College Park, Georgia outside of Atlanta. The mega church he founded in the 1980s attracts worshipers. And yes, he's gonna need Jesus Christ in order to help him get out a crisis in the family home.

Dollar was arrested in Fayetteville, Georgia on charges of allegedly attacking his 15-year-old daughter. The initial report stated Dollar's 15-year-old daughter accused him of choking her, throwing her to the ground, and spanking her with his shoe. The official charges were simple battery and cruelty to children, both misdemeanors. He was later released on a $5000 bail.

On his program, he vehemently denied that he hit his daughter and called the charges false and discriminatory.

The followers have defended him and they're claiming that the young girl and her sister are lying to shame their father.

Now, I am agnostic and I haven't been to church in awhile. I always felt that those in the church are trying to push their radical views upon me and prop me up as a "turn around" to the faith.

I thought that religion is a tax free money maker. Anyone can claim they studied the teachings of a religion.

Do you think these mega-church pastors preach the word?

No.

No one is perfect.

I don't want to make any judgement to say that Creflo Dollar is a violent person or he was wrongly accused of an issue.

But it comes to light of many other scandals plaguing Dollar. He was once investigated by the U.S. Senate for allegedly using his religious teaching to make himself a wealthy man.

This brings back the sex scandal plaguing fellow preacher Eddie Long. Long was accused of sexually harassing and sleeping with former male members of his church. They sued the pastor and some settled out of court with the pastor. The pastor is facing a separation from his wife.

Dollar and Long both preach for profit. They're rich! They can thank GOD for making them successful!
