An evil regime. Israel outlaws the United Nations relief agencies. |
"Bring them home" was all a farce. It was all about a damn land grab and extermination of indigenous people. They want to outlaw non Jewish, non white, non complaint people. They want to drag the United States and Great Britain into a war with Iran. They want to dismantle international law.
The United Nations is all talk and no action. They need to reign in on Israel now!
The two newly passed laws are all but certain to hamper UNRWA’s work in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, as Israel controls access to both territories. But the details of how the legislation would be implemented, and potential workarounds, remain unclear. It could also face legal challenges.
At risk is not just UNRWA’s aid delivery to Gaza, where it is also the largest employer. UNRWA also operates schools in the occupied West Bank serving over 330,000 children, as well as health care centers and infrastructure projects.
What gets me is that the United States' rivals, China, Russia, North Korea, Iran and Venezuela are calling out Israel for its actions. The actions are so bad, about 145 nations have threatened to boot Israeli officials out.
The United States is opposing the possibility that Israel being booted from the United Nations.
The United Nations is considering crippling sanctions and an embargo.
The United States lawmakers are considering punishing the United Nations if they carry out any of these measures.
In a shocking but unsurprising move, the Knesset voted to make the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) a terrorist organization. That means the Israel Defence Force can carry out assassinations and arrest of aid workers. They can continue to indiscriminately bomb schools, relief agencies and medical facilities associated with UNRWA.
This move will totally eliminate the humanitarian aid needed for those living in Gaza, East Jerusalem and the West Bank. It will allow Israel to confiscate rations, computers, medical supplies and fuel.
Anyone who posted on social media or even cheered the actions of Oct. 7 are considered terrorists.
President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Congress, former president Donald J. Trump, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and the junk food media will pivot when questioned about Israel. They will offer the usual talking points about how Israel has a right to defend itself.
UNRWA provides essential services to millions of Palestinians across the Middle East and has underpinned aid efforts in Gaza throughout the Israel-Hamas war. Legislation barring it from operating in Israel passed with an overwhelming majority Monday. Israel says UNRWA has allowed itself to be infiltrated by Hamas, with the militants siphoning off aid and using the agency’s facilities as shields. UNRWA denies the allegations, saying it is committed to neutrality and acts quickly to address any wrongdoing by its staff.
No one is going to stop UNRWA. |

Either way, the laws could have major consequences for Palestinians in Gaza, who are heavily reliant on emergency food aid more than a year into a war that has killed tens of thousands, according to local officials who don’t distinguish combatants from civilians; displaced 90% of the population of 2.3 million; and left much of the territory in ruins.
The first law prohibits UNRWA from “operating any mission, providing any service or conducting any activity, either directly or indirectly, within Israel’s sovereign territory,” according to a statement from parliament.
It’s unclear whether UNRWA would still be able to operate inside Gaza and the West Bank, territories Israel captured in the 1967 Mideast war but has never formally annexed. The Palestinians want both to be part of a future state.
The second law prohibits Israeli state agencies from communicating with UNRWA and revokes an agreement dating to 1947, before Israel was created, under which it facilitated UNRWA’s work.
With Israel controlling all access to Gaza and the West Bank, it could be difficult for UNRWA staff to enter and leave the territories through Israeli checkpoints, and to bring in vital supplies for its schools, health centers and humanitarian programs.
UNRWA and its staff would also lose their tax exemptions and legal immunities.
Israel by obligation must find a replacement but I highly doubt they will despite Biden's warning that he could pull military funding (which he hasn't since Israel's invasion into Rafah). The Biden administration had pushed for an increase in humanitarian aid within 30 days or Israel faces cuts to U.S. military aid and assistance.
Rights groups say Israel is obliged under international law to provide for the basic needs of people in the territories it occupies.
State Department smirksman Matthew Miller said the United States was “deeply troubled” by the legislation, which “poses risks for millions of Palestinians who rely on UNRWA for essential services.”
“We are going to engage with the government of Israel in the days ahead about how they plan to implement it” and see whether there are any legal challenges, he said.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement Monday that Israel is“ready to work with our international partners to ensure Israel continues to facilitate humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza in a way that does not threaten Israel’s security.”
But many of those partners insist there is no alternative to UNRWA.
A spokesperson for the U.N. children’s agency, which also provides aid to Gaza, denounced the new laws in unusually strong language, saying “a new way has been found to kill children.”
James Elder said the loss of UNRWA “would likely see the collapse of the humanitarian system in Gaza.” His agency, known as UNICEF, “would become effectively unable to distribute lifesaving supplies,” such as vaccines, winter clothes, water and food to combat malnutrition.
Israeli officials are considering the possibility of having the military or private contractors take over aid distribution, but have yet to develop a concrete plan, according to two officials who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the closed-door discussions.
COGAT referred all questions on the new legislation to the government.
Israel wants to disable all humanitarian aid to starve Gazans and Lebanese people. |

Amy Pope — head of the International Organization for Migration, another U.N. body — said it would not be able to fill the gap left by UNRWA, which she described as “absolutely essential.”
“They provide education. They provide health care. They provide some of the most basic needs, for people who have been living there for decades,” she said.
Israel has used the Hannibal Directive to kill their own as well as Palestinians.
Israel has allegedly killed over 50,000 people. In reality over 204,000 people.
If Israel does replace it under their control, expect tainted products and explosives planted inside it.
They carried out terrorist attacks in Lebanon and Iran. And the junk food media acts like Iran retaliating against Israel is the worst thing to happen. Netanyahu has personally been in communications with Trump to carry on the genocide to depress turnout for Harris.
Harris has lost support among Muslims and Arab voters. Her staunch stance towards Israel is a huge problem. She continues to parrot the lies that Hamas raped women and killed 1,200 people.
Trump also has a staunch stance towards Israel. He pulled out of the P5+1 which had Iran follow the proposals to regulate its nuclear program. Israel opposed it and pushed Trump to undo former president Barack Obama's achievement.
Trump moved the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem despite many other nations refusing to acknowledge the city as the capital of Israel. Tel Aviv is the largest city and official capital of Israel. However, many see the country as one of the last colonialist apartheids in the world.
