Game show host Pat Sajak retires. He and co-host Vanna White are game show icons. |
For those who don't know, game show and media personalities Mary Hart, Drew Carey, Ben Stein, Pat Sajak and Chuck Woolery are Republicans. Even independent Bob Barker had endorsed then Republican turned independent former Florida lawmaker now MSNBC commentator David Jolly.
Pat Sajak once had a Sunday talk show on Fox back in the late 1990s.
Besides his far right politics, Pat Sajak is one of a kind guy. The longtime game show host will not renew his contract after 2023. The recent health scares has also fueled rumors that he will retire soon.
Well, the time has come. I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last. It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all. (If nothing else, it’ll keep the clickbait sites busy!)

Sajak and Vanna White are the hosts of America's game, Wheel of Fortune. Wheel and Jeopardy! are longtime staples of afternoon/evening syndicated programming.
ABC currently has exclusive rights to air Celebrity Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! The Tournament of Champions and Celebrity editions.
Sajak indicated in an interview last summer that his tenure on the show was winding down.
“It appears I may go before the show,” he told Entertainment Tonight, adding, “Years go by fast. We’re getting near the end.”
“In most television shows by this time, you would have said, ‘That’s probably enough,’ but this show will not die,” he joked.
