Mass shooting in Columbia, South Carolina. Deadly mass shootings in U.S. |
Grantville, Georgia, Columbia, South Carolina and Pittsburgh were the scenes of mass shootings this Easter weekend.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Again, President Joe Biden can't wave a magic wand and make gun violence disappear. It takes an act of Congress. The House of Representatives have passed legislation to curb gun violence. The Senate is the only thing holding up progress.
Of course, Republicans say that "now isn't the time..."
Given that Republicans are embracing culture wars and crime is another tactic, they're screaming about violence being on the rise but aren't doing much to stop it. All they're doing is screaming that Democrats are weak on sexual offenders, illegal immigration and crime.
They won't stop gun violence because it doesn't appeal to their white nationalist base.
City governments can't do much without help from governors and state legislators willing to make change for the good of society. Republicans once they get in power are going to whitewash history, delay laws and try to impeach President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris the moment they get in.
Two boys were killed in a Pittsburgh home after a large scale party went array. |
In Pittsburgh, two minors are dead and eight are seriously injured.
Shots were fired at a house part in Pittsburgh on Sunday morning.
The shooting happened around 12:30am at a short-term rental property. There were over 200 people attending this event and many of the partygoers were underage.
Two male victims were shot and died later at the hospital. Eight others were being treated for gun shot wounds. The police are trying to figure out the terrorist(s) involved in this shooting.
Police Chief of Pittsburgh Police Scott Schubert said that 50 rounds were fired upon a large gathering and some of the victims were injured in the malee. The property was an Airbnb. So the company and the person who owns the property will cooperate with the police in determining who allowed the event and whether alcohol was inside with underage minors.
Ed Gainey condemned the attack and said that lawmakers in Harrisburg and Washington, DC failed America's cities by not doing things to stop gun violence. It seems like a never ending issue with gun violence in our communities.
One of the shooters was caught. |

My kid records this as someone is shooting outside the mall where him and his friends were at. This is how desensitized kids are now to shootings. pic.twitter.com/MUdch9dEMM

If you weren't aware of the last mass shooting, there was one at a gun range in Grantsville, Georgia.
A 21 year old man killed the owners of Stock and Barrel gun range. The victims, Luke Hawk, Evelyn Hawk and Tommy Hawk were found inside the facility.
The suspect is charged with three counts of malice murder (first degree murder/homicide). The suspect is facing LIFE or DEATH if convicted.
The incident happened on last Wednesday and the suspect was arrested on Friday.
The suspect stole weapons and had a cache of firearms inside his home.
Apparently their Orange God didn't save them from the bullets that hit them.
And even the "good guys" with guns didn't survive the bad guy.
The suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Every community in the United States will eventually have a legacy. A legacy of tragedy. Gun violence and COVID-19 will affect your town, your family and your life. So I don't want to hear that bullshit about how gun reform is taking away your rights to own firearms.
Every community has a mass shooting. |
I don't want to hear folks say masks and vaccine mandates impede their freedoms. It prevents a deadly outbreak from spreading. If you want to die from the coronavirus, that's on you.
I don't want to hear the shit about guns saving lives. Cause a bullet does not have eyes and it's always likely gonna hit a target. These folks seem to not get it. These incidents are a tragic part of American history. Thoughts and prayers and your heart going out to the victims is not enough. It quite frankly is an insult.
