Shontel Brown is going to beat Nina Turner again. |
The leftist agitator and lawmaker get into a shouting match while on the phone with The Plain Dealer interviewers.
Rep. Shontel Brown (D-OH) who represents the 11th Congressional District (Cleveland metro) is running for reelection and her primary challenger is Nina Turner, the former Ohio state senator and former Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) advisor on his 2016 and 2020 presidential campaign.
I have this race likely Brown.
Turner is no longer getting national attention like she did in 2021 when she brought the circus to Cleveland.
When Marcia Fudge left the seat to join the Biden Administration as the Housing and Urban Development Secretary, the open seat for Ohio's 11th Congressional District became a thing for Turner.
Turner felt obligated to run for the seat. After all she had name recognition, she is known and she is "fighting" for the people.
LOL I'm not surprised since they helped promote an attack on Shontel Brown that Nina Turner used in her first ad. https://t.co/lP0x2ljqVV

Turner quickly earned donations and endorsements from many of the left's most notable figures.
Then enter Brown.
Brown, then a Cuyahoga County member and county Democratic chair who aligned herself with Fudge, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris joined the race. Immediately, the leftists in the junk food media have went directly after her.
The Intercept, Jacobin, HuffPost, The Young Turks, The Hill and the Berniestas came out in full force.
They labeled Brown as the "establishment" and a "corporate Democrat."
Go somewhere Nina. |
They labeled Turner, who has been in the junk food media and politics for years as the "fresh face" in the race. They gave her favorable coverage while attacking Brown as "not authentically Black."
In August, the primary came and Brown came out on top. She beaten Turner by six points. She would end up beating the Republican challenger by 29 points. Brown was sworn to office two days after her victory.
Since joining Congress, Brown has introduced six bills, cosponsored on 12 bills and has been a reliable vote to Biden. She also touts the accomplishments to her constituents.
Well in this phone interview and questionnaire, Turner decided to pull shit out of her ass and throw it to the wall hoping it would stick. Brown was having none of that.
The Plain Dealer had endorsed Turner over Brown. Turner has touted the endorsements of Sanders, Jeffrey Shaun King, David Sirota and other leftists.
Brown had touted the endorsements of Justin Bibb, the mayor Cleveland, many other mayors from the suburbs, Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH), Rep. Joyce Beatty (D-OH), Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH), the Congressional Black Caucus and the Congressional Progressive Caucus.
The Progressive Caucus endorsement was a blow to Turner's campaign. The campaign can't really move forward when a majority of the lawmakers on the progressive wing endorsed Brown.
In the phone call around the 45 minute mark, Turner decided to throw allegations against Brown and she hit back.
Turner's desperation is showing yet again.
