Blame Game: Sandy Hook School Shooting!

PHOTO: Alleged Sandy Hook Elementary shooter Adam Lanza is seen in this 2005 photo.

This is part six of the ongoing coverage of the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School. We here at Journal de la Reyna send our condolences to those who were lost in this senseless tragedy.

There will be details emerging as soon as the issue gets here.

The Associated Press will be the only source I will use from this point. The media screwed up big time on who was the alleged shooter and those killed on this tragic Friday morning. President Barack Obama address the nation at 3:15 pm and he was clearly upset. The president demands swift action towards curbing tragedies like this from happening.

WASHINGTON (AP) — A law enforcement official says that the 20-year-old suspect in the Connecticut school shootings killed his mother at their home Friday and then drove his mother's car to the school where he went on a deadly rampage.

Adam Lanza's mother, Nancy, was a teacher at the school, said the law enforcement official.

Meanwhile, in New Jersey, Adam Lanza's older brother, Ryan, 24, of Hoboken, N.J., was questioned by law enforcement in New Jersey and was extremely cooperative, said a second law enforcement official who was briefed on the investigation. Ryan Lanza is not believed to have any involvement and is not under arrest or in custody, but investigators were still searching his computers and phone records, said the second official.

Ryan Lanza told law enforcement that his brother was believed to suffer from a personality disorder and be "somewhat autistic" and lived with the mother in Connecticut, the second official added.

Earlier, a law enforcement official mistakenly transposed the brothers' first names.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they official were not authorized to speak publicly about the developing investigation.

The first official said Adam Lanza is dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

According to the first official, the suspect drove to the scene of the shootings in his mother's car. Three guns were found at the scene — a Glock and a Sig Sauer, both pistols — and a .223-caliber rifle. The rifle was recovered from the back of a car at the school. The two pistols were recovered from inside the school.

Meanwhile, former Jersey Journal staff writer Brett Wilshe said he has spoken with Ryan Lanza of Hoboken, who told Wilshe the shooter may have had Ryan Lanza's identification.

Ryan Lanza has a Facebook page that posted updates Friday afternoon that read that "it wasn't me" and "I was at work."

One of the officials said earlier Friday that a girlfriend of one of the Lanza brothers and another friend were missing in New Jersey. Subsequently, the third official said police had talked with the girlfriend. One of the friends had to be reached in California, so it took some time.

The horrific shooting at the Newtown, Conn., elementary school that left multiple people dead, including, it's believed, 20 children, has re-ignited the gun control debate.

Public figures immediately jumped in to offer condolences, while others called for new restrictions. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said he was "shocked and saddened" by the tragic shooting. He said society should "unify" to "crack down on the guns." And New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said "immediate action" was needed.

Mark Kelly, husband of former Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, who was gravely injured by a gunman in Tucson in 2011, wrote on Facebook: "The children of Sandy Hook Elementary School and all victims of gun violence deserve leaders who have the courage to participate in a meaningful discussion about our gun laws—and how they can be reformed and better enforced to prevent gun violence and death in America."

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi ‏(@NancyPelosi) tweeted, "No words can console the parents of the children murdered at Sandy Hook. We share our prayers and our grief over these horrifying events."

U.S. Rep. Nita Lowey of New York added to the call for gun limits, saying in a statement, "Our expressions of sympathy must be matched with concrete actions to stop gun violence."

Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, whose state experienced both the Columbine High School shooting in 1999 and the shooting at the Aurora, Colo., movie theater in 2012, offered his support in a statement: "The shooting in Connecticut is absolutely horrific and heartbreaking. We know too well what impact this kind of violence has on a community and our nation. Our thoughts and prayers are immediately with the families of those killed. We can offer comfort, but we all know the pain will stay forever."

The debate in social media was fast and furious. Trending topics on Twitter included "2nd Amendment," "NRA" and "Columbine."

Ross McCall ‏(@maccageezer) wrote, "Senseless. The 2nd Amendment is NOT what it was originally set up to be. HAS to be more gun control."

Daniel Stewart ‏(@dnstewart67) tweeted, "Any American who would prefer to see this on their TV rather than lose the 2nd amendment have no humanity. Sheer horror."

Comedian Sarah Silverman (@SarahKSilverman) wrote, "Band-Aids-on-Band-Aids @NRA people want MORE access to guns to combat all the people w access to guns."

Mediaite tweeted about MSNBC host's Andrea Mitchell's editorializing on air, who said, "When we talk about gun violence in this country, we're not talking about Second Amendment rights." She also called gun violence an "epidemic."

Filmmaker Michael Moore (@MMFlint), who made a documentary about the Columbine school shooting, "Bowling for Columbine," tweeted,‏ "Too soon to speak out about a gun-crazy nation? No, too late. At least THIRTY-ONE school shootings since Columbine."

Assif Manvi (@aasif) of "The Daily Show,"  posted, "The #NRA politicians will now tell us that this tragedy could have been prevented if children carried guns! #WAKEUPAMERICA."

Plenty of people also defended gun rights. SamEwinks (‏@SamEwinks), for instance, wrote, "The only gun reform we need is to allow people the ability to defend themselves, not provide nut jobs with easy targets #nra."

josefsmith2011 (@josefsmith2011) posted, "Guns don't kill people people do! Practice the 2nd amendment—keep your gun loaded with you at all times—the younger you are the better."

And Cutty (@LilCutty) tweeted, "Changing the 2nd Amendment wont stop ppl from doin foolishness."

Associated Press writers Adam Goldman in Washington and Samantha Henry in Newark, N.J., contributed to this report. The Lookout contributes to the commentary. My commentary will come after the jump.

INSTEAD OF CALLING IT RIGHT WING EXTREMISM! HOW ABOUT CALLING IT WHITE TERRORISM?

THIS IS AN ISSUE! IT'S INSPIRED BY THE ANGRY RHETORIC OF TALK RADIO, CHANGING DEMOGRAPHICS IN THE US POPULATION IN WHICH BLACKS AND HISPANICS ARE GROWING. THIS IS INSPIRED BY ISSUES LIKE LEGISLATION THAT ROLL BACK FIREARMS. THE PRESIDENT'S REELECTION ALSO ENRAGED MANY WHITE TERRORISTS ONLINE AND IN THE GENERAL PUBLIC!

It's Only Gun Rights For Whites! Gun Control For Blacks and Latinos! Because They're Shooting Each Other! Aren't They?  REVISED FROM MARCH 2012!

Once again, the National Rifle Association is scaring up fundraising. The gun rights organization already expects President Obama's second term will bring forth laws that may restrict assault weapons! After President Obama won reelection, the NRA are out to get more money from those Elmer Fudds who think that "Big Ear Jungle Bunny" is coming for their guns.

As a concealed carry firearm owner who is an American voter, I have to share my thoughts on the gun control rumors being spread by two gun lobbying groups. They are attempting to generate revenue off the fears of a liberal Black president's attempt to "take their guns!"

I am amazed about how the conservative media loves to get upset over the outrage of gun control in the wake of many gun tragedies in the United States. The tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut may be the nail in the coffin for stalling on reasonable gun control. I am at the point where I almost demand President Barack Obama give his "A More Perfect Union" speech once again.

This leads to the National Rifle Association's attempt to scare up fundraising. The gun rights organization already expects President Obama to win reelection and they're out to get more money from those Elmer Fudds who think that "Big Ear Jungle Bunny" is coming for their guns.

But ever since Barack Obama won the 2008 U.S. Presidential Elections, many gun owners got the fear of the liberal Black man working behind the scenes to tear apart the Second Amendment of The U.S. Constitution. With sales of firearms up, many believe that a second term of Barack Obama is the potential doom of the average flag waving, gun totting, freedom fry eating patriot. With Americans more concerned with unemployment and the economy, guns and religion are taking a backseat. But in order to stay relevant, NRA president Wayne LaPierre wants to make sure that his members are afraid of Barack Obama.

Again let me repeat myself on the issue. Gun sales are up. I mean there's more people getting concealed carry permits and the firearm industry is doing fine so far. Republicans are rallying the base. And another silly culture war over gun control will certainly get some votes (and of course the word salad of denial).

The U.S. Congress and even President Barack Obama continues to give the gun owners what they want.

According to Time magazine, the President has also expanded gun rights by signing laws that allow the possession of firearms in national parks and on Amtrak. And yet, he can't get a nod from the National Rifle Association because those measures were tucked into broader bills the president liked. "He has a failing record when it comes to gun rights, and that's what our members and gun owners and hunters across the country know," says NRA public-affairs director Andrew Arulanandam. "I also think they don't trust him."

So it brings me to the notion of why conservatives bring up Black-on-Black crime and Black-on-White crime. Every time a controversy involving a racial aspect arises, conservatives point fingers at President Barack Obama, Al Sharpton, and Jesse Jackson for fanning hate on White people and screaming "racist" at every conservative white person who doesn't agree with them. This is constantly played upon those who continue to fan their "grandiose" to be "patriotic".
Seeing this controversy is not going away, gun right advocates are going to make this another attempt to rile up their brainless supporters to give money to the NRA or Gun Owners Association. They know that riling up people who own guns is the key to get them out to vote. They've been very successful at it for thirty years.

President Barack Obama has more important things to worry about. The rising prices of fuel, the economy and unemployment are the things that keep the president's job approval low. Gun control is the least of the president's concerns. Even though his liberal base is advocating for stronger gun regulations, President Obama urges them to avoid the notion of guns! Now that he's won reelection and today's tragedy will spur him to act! He will demand that congress pass reasonable gun control!

Most White conservative males are obsessed with firearms and kill in the name of a religion, politics, or unjustifiable events. When you see Blacks, Hispanics/Latinos, or even Muslims with firearms, you people scream at the top of your lungs about how it's our faults for most of America's crime and you want control over us, but never control over you!

The foresight of Republicans is basically to tear apart an enemy. That enemy is President Barack Obama. This crazy game of baseless ignorance solely lies within the Republican and its allies in the conservative movement.

Once again this "Black on White, Hispanic/Latino on White, Muslim on White", "Obama is a Muslim Nigger Commie Socialist" theme is another example of the messed up culture war the Republican Party (or allied to the conservative movement) continue to bring upon those who tend to be rational.

But after telling you more than once, it's not true, these people turn around and make more narratives that totally distract the real reason why this country is so screwed up in the first place!
