Elie Wiesel Passed Away!

Elie Wiesel passed away!

A man who survived the horrific genocide of the Holocaust to become an advocate for human rights passed away today.

Elie Wiesel was a Holocaust survivor and author who fought for peace, human rights and simple human decency, has died at the age of 87, a spokesman for Israel's Holocaust memorial, Yad Vashem, said Saturday.

Wiesel, who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1986, recounted his family being sent to the Nazi concentration camps in his first book, "Night," which was published in 1955.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu lauded Wiesel as a "master of words."

"(He) gave expression through his exceptional personality, and fascinating books about the victory of the human spirit over cruelty and evil. In the darkness of the Holocaust in which our brothers and sisters -- 6 million -- were murdered, Elie Wiesel was a ray of light and greatness of humanity who believed in the good in man," Netanyahu said.

"I was privileged to know Elie and to learn so much from him."

Born in Romania, Wiesel was 15 when he was sent to the Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland with his family in 1944.

The future writer was later moved and ultimately freed from the Buchenwald camp in 1945. Of his relatives, only two of his sisters survived.

Wiesel told CNN last year that Auschwitz was "to this day, a source of shock and astonishment."

He broke his silence on his Holocaust experience 10 years after the liberation with the acclaimed memoir "Night," originally published in French as "La Nuit," which has been translated into 30 languages and has sold millions of copies since its publication.

The Nobel peace laureate, who wrote extensively about the horrors he and others endured, said he knew he'd have to write at some point but feared the words would elude him.

"I'm not sure, by the way, that I did find them," he said. "Maybe there are no words for what happened. Maybe somehow, the Germans ... the cruel killers, have succeeded at least in one way, at least that it deprived us, the victims, of finding the proper language of saying what they had done to us, because there are no words for it."

In 1986 the Nobel committee called Wiesel an important spiritual leader.

In his speech honoring Wiesel, then-chairman Egil Aarvik said: "From the abyss of the death camps he has come as a messenger to mankind, not with a message of hate and revenge, but with one of brotherhood and atonement."

Wiesel spoke of his own guilt in his moving Nobel acceptance speech.

"Do I have the right to represent the multitudes who have perished? Do I have the right to accept this great honor on their behalf? I do not. No one may speak for the dead, no one may interpret their mutilated dreams and visions," he said.

He said he sensed the presence of the tens of thousands of people who died at Buchenwald, and accepted the prize on their behalf and on behalf of his fellow survivors.

Millions of people were touched by "Night" and dozens of other works Wiesel produced. His books were deeply personal. He was honest with his readers about what he went through physically, emotionally, spiritually.

He wrote, "Never shall I forget that night, the first night in camp, which has turned my life into one long night, seven times cursed and seven times sealed. Never shall I forget that smoke. Never shall I forget the little faces of the children, whose bodies I saw turned into wreaths of smoke beneath a silent blue sky. Never shall I forget those flames which consumed my faith forever. Never shall I forget that nocturnal silence which deprived me, for all eternity, of the desire to live. Never shall I forget those moments which murdered my God and my soul and turned my dreams to dust. Never shall I forget these things, even if I am condemned to live as long as God himself. Never."

Throughout his life, the writer and teacher sought to give a voice to the voiceless.

He was a professor at the City College of New York from 1972 until he left four years later to become a humanities professor at Boston University. Before that, Wiesel was a journalist in Paris and then New York.

He was, in the words of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, the international leader of the Holocaust remembrance movement.

"In the aftermath of the Holocaust, at a time when the world could not bear to remember, he could not bear to forget," the museum wrote in a statement. "Through his singular moral leadership, intellect, and eloquence, he gave voice to those who had been silenced forever and devoted his life to fulfilling the promise of 'never again' for all future victims of genocide."

Wiesel also didn't shy away from making strong remarks. While at the White House in 1985, he asked President Ronald Reagan to cancel a visit to a World War II military cemetery in West Germany.

"That place, Mr. President, is not your place,'' he said, according to The New York Times. ''Your place is with the victims of the SS.''

When he returned to the site of the Buchenwald death camp in 2009, he advocated for peace in the Middle East while addressing President Barack Obama and German Chancellor Andrea Merkel.

He lamented there was no grave of his father to visit and said the hope of no more war that he felt upon his rescue in 1945 was damaged.

"What can I tell him?" he asked. "That the world has learned? I am not so sure."

He implored Obama to help bring peace to the world.

"The time must come. It's enough -- enough to go to cemeteries, enough to weep for oceans. It's enough," he said. "There must come a moment -- a moment of bringing people together."

Wiesel was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1986, the Norwegian Nobel Committee called him a "messenger to mankind," stating that through his struggle to come to terms with "his own personal experience of total humiliation and of the utter contempt for humanity shown in Hitler's death camps", as well as his "practical work in the cause of peace", Wiesel had delivered a powerful message "of peace, atonement and human dignity" to humanity.

World News Today send our condolences to the family of Elie Wiesel. May your memory live on as a part of the global path of peace and prosperity.

Ted Cruz Allowed A Bigot Slander Keith Ellison And Andre Carson!

Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) and Rep. Andre Carson (D-IN) are devout Muslims. They are often attacked for their race and their faith. Conservatives play racial dog whistle against them.

There are two Congressmen who are devout Muslims. Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) and Rep. Andre Carson (D-IN) are Sunni Muslims and African American men. They are fathers and respected lawmakers.

Ellison is from Minneapolis. He is a member of the House Progressive Caucus and was a supporter of Bernie Sanders in his failed bid for president. Ellison was elected to Congress in 2007.

Carson is from Indianapolis. He is also member of the caucus. He was elected to Congress in 2008 in a special election to replace his grandmother, Congresswoman Julia Carson who passed away in 2007. He is a supporter of presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

Ellison is very passionate about his faith and the issues facing Black America.

He was mentioned by a talking head who claims to be a "national security consultant". Chris Gaubatz was in a hearing sponsored by failed Republican presidential candidate, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX).

Gaubatz complains about the rise of "radical Islam". He singles out Ellison and Carson as enablers of terrorism. He believes that Ellison and Carson are secretly rooting for the destruction of America.

They attended a convention hosted by the Islamic Society of North America. Gaubatz complains that the organization is front group for the Muslim Brotherhood.

Allegations of Ellison and Carson being Muslim terrorists  have spread across the social media.

Gaubatz also complained that the Council of American Islamic Relations is a front group for the Islamic State.

Cruz freely allowed a bigot slander elected leaders.

Of course, Cruz is a known Islamophobe.

Cruz who failed at capturing the Republican nomination is a broken man. He's no longer getting the attention he never should have gotten. Donald Trump knocked him and his seven day running mate fellow failed presidential candidate Carly Fiorina back to the normal lives.

Cruz's failed campaign had advisers like known White extremist Frank Gaffney on his national security team.. Gaffney has often accused Ellison, Carson, Huma Abedin-Weiner, Hillary Clinton, and President Barack Obama of being associates of Muslim extremism. He also called out conservative agitators Grover Norquist and Suhail Khan of being in the Muslim Brotherhood.

Keith Ellison is often sparing with ignorant assholes who don't understand the "freedom of religion", "probable cause" and the risks of hate.

Ellison was sparing with racist lawmakers like Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX), Rep. Steve King (R-IA), Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL).

Ellison's most memorable debate was with Softball Hannity. Ellison called that annoying conservative agitator a "yellow journalist" and the "worst excuse for a television host".

Softball Hannity hosted Gaffney, Gaubatz and Cruz on his programs.

Miami-Jacobs Career College Leaves Dayton!

Before the sign was removed. Miami Jacobs Career College, a for-profit institution shuts down in the Dayton market.

A staple of Dayton, Ohio is about to close up shop. Miami Jacobs Career College is closing at the end of this year. It's going to put students in vine and staff out of jobs.

Miami Jacobs has operated out of the community for over 100 years.

The private college will no longer accept new students at its Dayton, Springboro, Troy and Sharonville campuses, remaining open there only to allow current students to finish their programs, said John Ware, executive director of State Board of Career Colleges and Schools.

The Columbus campus will remain open for the time being.

Many students who enrolled in the college can't transfer their time credits into Wright State University, Sinclair College and the University of Dayton.

Not sure if American National College and Brightwood will accept enrollees.

The school offers degrees in nursing, cosmetology, healthcare, accounting, criminal justice, and graphic design.

Hillary Clinton Gets Grilled By The FBI!

Clinton heads to the FBI.

The presumptive Democratic nominee is getting interviewed by the FBI today in regards to the email server in the never ending Benghazi scandal. Hillary Clinton is being talked to by the feds about using her personal server instead of a government server.

This interview was over 3 1/2 hours and conducted in Washington, DC. The meeting had been anticipated as the FBI investigates whether classified information was compromised by her email arrangement.

The FBI must now decide if there should be criminal indictments.

This week ends with Republicans crowing about Attorney General Loretta Lynch meeting former President Bill Clinton in Phoenix. The encounter lasted 30 minutes but it was enough for the agitators to complain.

Regardless this event should eventually come to an end. If the prosecutor recommends charging anyone (including Clinton) with a criminal charge, Lynch will go forth with it.

Mind you that I don't really consider a scandal!
Hillary Clinton in federal time out. Not likely.
If Clinton wasn't running for president, this would not be an issue. Obviously, since Republicans hate her and President Barack Obama, they will find a scandal where there isn't one.

They read from The Drudge Report, watch Fox News, and listen to AM agitators. This combination of news agitation creates a bubble. Regardless of how many facts dispelling the lies, conservatives will concoct another reason to doubt the truth.

This revelation came to light back in 2015 when the Benghazi committee found that Clinton was using a personal server. The Republicans and their conservative allies have spent years trying to find a scandal.

Practically costing $9 million in taxpayer's money, the Benghazi incident has been the most partisan event so far in the inept Republican controlled Congress.

This event spent more the 9/11 commission, the JFK assassination, the Watergate scandal and the Iran-Contra scandal.

The event in Benghazi killed American ambassador Chris Stevens, CIA operatives Ty Woods, Glen Doherty and aide Sean Smith.

Trump Got Two Gas Bags On The Veep List!

Two gas bags are in the running for being Republican gas bag Donald Trump's running mate.

It's starting to get really interesting. Donald Trump is close to picking his running mate.

Will this running mate make a difference in an already struggling campaign?

Will it be a guy who gave President Barack Obama a special shout out for the handling of Hurricane Sandy? A guy who is routinely mocked for being obese, a bully and a flagrant jackass. A man who had his crew stop the George Washington Bridge to spurn a mayor who refused to back him. Would that be a choice?

Or perhaps will it be the guy who said that Obama is the "most successful food stamp president"? A guy who has the shares one thing with Trump: marriage three times. A failed Speaker of the House who got on the nerves of Bill Clinton. A gas bag who goes to CNN or Fox News to share ineffective advice on how to win elections. A guy who mocked the 2012 Republican nominee as a
"French" elitist.

They are on a short list of vice presidential candidates for Republican presumptive nominee Donald Trump.

The 2016 failed presidential candidate Chris Christie and the 2012 failed presidential candidate Newt Gingrich are on the shortlist of candidates.

Others include Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), Indiana governor Mike Pence, and Scott Brown are the other candidates that are seeking the bid.

I am so tired of the Republican Party. I am so frustrated with Donald Trump, the inept Republican congress and the conservative agitators.

The Feds Caught The Pretty Face!

Shanika Shantel Minor
Shanika Minor couldn't find the right person to hide with. The fugitive was placed on the FBI Most Wanted list a few days ago. She was caught in North Carolina.

The woman who was added to the 10 Most Wanted Fugitives was nabbed today in North Carolina.

Tameeca Perry was gunned down.
Shanika Minor was accused of murdering a woman who was pregnant with her unborn son after a dispute over music. Minor popped the victim in the chest in front of her children and boyfriend.

The victim Tameeca Perry was the mother of two with one on the way. The Milwaukee Police, U.S. Marshals and the FBI were determined to catch this fugitive.

The fugitive was caught in Fayetteville after the junk food media released her image to the nation.

The Cumberland County Boys and Fayetteville Police managed to grab her in a hotel. The caller said Minor was staying at the Airport Inn on Gillespie Street.

Around 2 a.m., authorities arrived at the motel and confirmed Minor was in room 122.

The March incident was unsolved until the tips came pouring in. The fugitive was assisted by friends and family. They will likely face charges for aiding a federal fugitive if the FBI determines that they deliberately allow her safe travels.
The family of Tamecca Perry can rest easy knowing that this dangerous individual is off the streets.

Minor will be extradited back to Wisconsin in the coming days. The price of a successful capture is $100,000. That will go to the person(s) who tipped the law.

Again, Minor is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The charges could carry a mandatory LIFE sentence in the iron college. Any family member or friend who aided her throughout the whole ordeal could be indicted on federal charges.
Minor's selfies and social media left a digital trail. The Feds found that useful in nabbing her.
Minor along with Brenda Delgado were added to the FBI Most Wanted fugitives list this year making this the ninth and tenth so far. The FBI Most Wanted fugitives does state that women added on the list is very rare.

Delgado was caught in Mexico after she plotted a successful hit on a dentist who went out with her ex-boyfriend. Delgado, the hitman and his girlfriend were nabbed.

World News Today send our condolences to the family of Tameeca Perry.
