Ohio Republicans Scrambles An Egg!

Josh Mandel has thrown in the towel.
Ohio state treasurer Josh Mandel was going to have a rematch with Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) for the 2018 U.S. Midterms.

Seems like the Republican decided to abruptly end his campaign citing family issues.

Ohio was leaning to Brown.

Even though Donald J. Trump carried the state, Ohioans haven't felt the effects of the MAGA. Brown was a vulnerable candidate.

Brown is one of the many Democrats up for reelection in states that Trump carried. Now it's possible for a Republican to win that spot and pose a competitive challenge for Brown.

Mandel said he will no longer run for treasurer.
Sens. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) and Rob Portman (R-OH).
He said in a public statement that he is done with the political circus and he wants to be there for his wife and three children.

"Understanding and dealing with this issue is more important to me than any political campaign."

Mandel was the strongest they had.

Now they are calling for John Kasich to drop his bid for 2020 to run for the senate.  The Ohio governor is considering a primary challenge against Trump.

Trump was expected to throw his endorsement to Mandel.

Republicans are finding hard to recruit candidates.
