So it appears that Stephen Harmon learned the hard way of not following the CDC guidelines and taking the opportunity to get vaccinated.

Now with a deadly variant spreading in almost every state and territory in the United States, President Joe Biden is weighing his decisions on whether on shutting down the country again.

Stephen decided to criticize the vaccinations and the president's handling.

He even quoted Jay-Z's "99 Problems" when it comes to vaccination.

He made memes about trusting the Bible over Dr. Anthony Fauci. But in late July, Harmon wrote that he was "on max oxygen" and "struggling to function." 

His final tweet July 21 asked supporters to pray for him as he was about to be intubated: "Don't know when i'll wake up, please pray." 

The causalities of the culture war.

Brian Houston, the president of Hillsong Church, announced on Instagram, "Stephen was just a young man in his early 30’s. He was a graduate from Hillsong College and a vital part of our church in California. He was one of the most generous people I know and he had so much in front of him. He would always turn up to our grandkids soccer games and he will be missed by so many. RIP."

Over 645,000 Americans died from the coronavirus. President Joe Biden had hopes that Americans would take this shit seriously. Unfortunately, Republicans so fucking eager to return to power will keep Americans fixated on the culture wars. Now vaccinations are part of this culture war.

But those fighting the culture war by not vaccinating, not wearing face mask in public, not following protocols, and deliberately ignoring federal and international rules when traveling are going to be the first casualties of the war. 

With this pandemic mostly affecting states where Republican governors are, we may have to return to wearing facial protection and cutting back services to reduce the spread of the coronavirus.

We came so far only to have a bunch of selfish idiots set it back. Just because they hate President Joe Biden.

The Republicans are so devoted to destroying Biden and the country for what....to regain power.

According to the CDC, there is still not enough information on antibodies for COVID-19 and whether they can prevent someone from getting reinfected. It still recommends that people with a positive antibody test follow recommendations for protecting themselves and others.

The coronavirus doesn't care about your age, race, gender, sexuality, nationality, religion, politics, economic or social standings. It doesn't care about anything. It's a living organism that causes mild symptoms that include: fever, sore throats, chills, respiratory issues, loss of taste or smell and other unknown symptoms. If you have a weak immune system or health issues, your risk increases.

Death does happen to at least 40% of those who are affected by COVID-19. 

If you're not vaccinated, your chances of death increases to 48%.

Healthy people can die from this. Take this seriously. You only have one life!

The delta variant and lambda strain of coronavirus are already in the United States. Those who are unvaccinated are more at risk of catching this. The risk of death now increases to 48% of those infected and not fully vaccinated. 

Karen Valentine is a Nashville talk radio host who is on Westwood One. He is a far-right agitator who has been very critical of President Joe Biden's COVID-19 handling and has encouraged his million of listeners to not take the vaccine. Even though, he claims he's not an anti-vaxxer, he's certainly gave Americans the impression he is.

Valentine is the son of former six-term Democratic U.S. Representative Tim Valentine of North Carolina, but is nonetheless a self-described conservative. His father was a Blue Dog Democrat, a coalition of conservative Democrats who vote with the Reagan Revolution.

His brother posted a heartfelt message to the fans saying his brother is struggling and it's a difficult course ahead. 

The family urged people to get vaccinated.

“Phil would like for his listeners to know that while he has never been an ‘anti-vaxer’ he regrets not being more vehemently ‘Pro-Vaccine’, and looks forward to being able to more vigorously advocate that position as soon as he is back on the air, which we all hope will be soon,” the family’s statement read.

“Phil & his family would like for all of you to know that he loves y'all and appreciates your concern, thoughts & prayers more than you will ever know. Please continue to pray for his recovery and PLEASE GO GET VACCINATED!”

According to the statement, the Nashville, Tennessee, SuperTalk 99.7 WTN host was breathing with assistance in a critical care unit, but was not on a ventilator.

The host revealed he had COVID on social media on July 12, writing: "Yes, the rumors are true. I have COVID. Unfortunately for the haters out there, it looks like I'm going to make it. Interesting experience. I'll have to fill you in when I come back on the air. I'm hoping that will be tomorrow, but I may take a day off just as a precaution. It'll be a game time decision."

Valentine has been publicly skeptical about all adults receiving the COVID vaccine. In his latest Facebook post on July 16, he questioned the safety of vaccines. Two days prior he wrote he was feeling better, and claimed without evidence "there are some very effective alternatives to the vaccine," and told those who are at high risk of dying from COVID to consider getting vaccinated.

In June, he shared a parody song on Twitter called Vaxman, which spoke about personal freedoms.

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, COVID vaccines are safe and effective and "millions of people in the United States have received COVID-19 vaccines under the most intense safety monitoring in U.S. history." As of Thursday, 162.2 million in the U.S. had been vaccinated against COVID.

Valentine's colleagues have sent him well-wishes in light of his condition.

Brian Wilson, who also hosts a radio show on SuperTalk 99.7 WTN, wrote on Facebook: "Please join me in praying for Phil's complete recovery. I know Phil and his family would deeply appreciate your prayers on his behalf."

Pamela Furr, radio news anchor at SuperTalk 99.7 WTN, wrote on Facebook: "Also pray for all of us at WTN as well. It is no joke that we are ALL family here.. so when one of us hurts, we are ALL hurting. Phil is strong.. and God is in control. His mighty angels are around him fighting this evil virus.. This is where we find peace."

Last year, former presidential candidate and far-right agitator Herman Cain fucked around and found out. He went to the infamous Tulsa, Oklahoma rally for Washed Up 45 and ended up contracting the coronavirus. He died 25 days later after being admitted to the hospital.

A Michigan woman did her own detective work and managed to nab a carjacker who was getting his hair braided. She called her boyfriend and his buddies and they dragged his ass out by the braids to the awaiting Detroit Metropolitan Police.

It could only be a funny story if it this was a movie. It's real and the suspect is in Wayne County lockup because of it.

He stole the woman's car out of a shopping center in west Detroit. For three days, he was driving it around and using as a chick magnet. He also spent a few dollars to get the vehicle detailed.

Bianca Chambers said for two days, she tracked her car throughout the city until Wednesday when the man parked her car and went to get his hair done. That's when she confronted the thief.

"At that point, I was like…I’m not letting this man walk again," she said.

She walked into a barbershop at Greenfield and Grand River and was face-to-face with the guy she says stole her new Benz and asked him point-blank - is that his Benz? When he denied it, she took him down.

Michigan woman documented her "citizen's arrest" of a carjacker.

"He’s at 7 Days West, getting his dreds (sic) twisted," she said in a Facebook live while watching her car.

Customers then stepped in to make a citizen's arrest while Bianca, sick of seeing him drive off in her car, slashed her own tires! Then she called the police.

"I slashed all the tires and I thought that he was gonna take off and I didn't know how long it was going to take for the police to pull up. And I refused to let him pull off again," she said.

Detroit Police say officers responded four times to Bianca’s 911 calls as she tracked the car using a web of social media tips. But by the time they got there, the car was gone.  

At one point as she tracked the bold thief around, he even made a pit stop at the strip mall where she owns a boutique.

"They was driving, they was having a good time, they was smoking but, yes, when I got my car, it was very clean," Bianca said.

And why was it so clean? He got it detailed.

FOX 2 sources said the thief has a history of car thefts since he was teen. His name has not been released.

"You're just the dumbest criminal, that's all. You're joyriding in my car like nobody was going to see," Bianca said.

In the video, Bianca is tearfully saying that the Detroit Police didn't take her concerns seriously. She literally is telling the viewers on Facebook Live that she saw the law pass her by more than once even though she called numerous times to report the vehicle and the suspect were in the area.

She did a risky move by confronting a thief. Given that the thief was at his weakest moment being in a chair being braided, he didn't see the woman coming for him. She and her boyfriend could have been criminally charged with assault if the suspect press charges against them.

Only two years ago, this moron on the left and his partner were caught stealing a vehicle out of Dearborn.

Yet he was smart not to do that. Given that Michigan is a "no fault" state where if he decided to damage her vehicle, she will still be footed with the bill. On top of that, it's a castle doctrine state where even if the vehicle was stolen from property and located later, the person can use deadly force against the thief.

The suspect is being charged and will face grand theft. He will also be charged for violating possibly his probation by being caught again.

If you do see someone attempting to take your vehicle, do not approach the suspect. It's best to not confront a person who may have a tire iron, knife, firearm, the vehicle in drive or reverse. Let them take the vehicle but make sure you get the license plate or image of the thieves safely. 

Lock your doors and windows.

Do not leave children or pets in a vehicle. If you are caught with children or pets in a vehicle, the law could charge you with neglect. 

Do not leave the keys in the vehicle or the ignition running with keys in the engine.

Hackers can get into wireless entry vehicles. It's best to makes sure you hear the click and beep before leaving your vehicle.

Do not leave valuables in the vehicle. 

Don't risk your life over property. The thieves will get caught, because they're sloppy in their work and usually they will make a mistake whenever they commit acts of theft. Do not take action into your own hands. You could face criminal charges if you harm the suspect.

The suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The U.S. Department of Justice is planning on dealing with not only gun violence but the thefts of catalytic converters.

Americans are seeing a rise of car thefts by catalytic converters being cut off vehicles. 

In recent years, the values of all three metals have spiked, with rhodium valued at $14,500 an ounce in December, palladium at $2,336 an ounce and platinum fetching $1,061, according to the National Insurance Crime Bureau, a nonprofit devoted to combating insurance fraud and vehicle theft.

People going to their cars and hearing that loud noise and wondering why it's making that sound can thank the converter. It's a device that keeps the toxic gas and pollutants in check. It is often used with internal combustion engines fueled by gasoline, diesel and kerosene heaters. The devices look like a muffler and are attached to a vehicle's emissions system. They're increasingly coveted by thieves because they contain platinum, palladium or rhodium, precious metals that help convert hazardous exhaust emitted by an engine into less harmful gases. 

The catalytic converter has metals that are expensive and you can get paid for one of these devices.

That's why it's on the rise. 

Many cities in the country are reporting that thefts of catalytic converters are up 500%. 

The thieves managed to get cheap power tools and an a hydraulic lift to get underneath the vehicle.

In California, a man was crushed to death by a car after he tried to steal a catalytic converter.

Within a minute or two, the thieves would saw off the catalytic converter and soon disappear into the city. When you wake up in the morning, leave your job or leave a store, you're surprised to hear the noise and wondering what the fuck happened to your vehicle.

When you look down and see damage underneath, you know you been struck by the thieves.

They would head to a scrap yard and sell the part for up to $500. You will be stuck with a hefty bill totaling over $1,000 and a high deductible from your insurer.

Many states are going to make catalytic converter theft a felony. If the states do pass legislation, the thieves could face up 5 years in the iron college if convicted. Mind you that it's hard to catch these thieves because it's hard to prove they've stole it.

But here's tips to prevent it.

First, make you paint your converter with a bright color. It will be easy to detect if was stolen.

Second have your mechanic carve initials or the vin number into the catalytic converter.

Third, get a protective shield to cover your engine. The thieves would spent more time would likely abandon the attempt if there's obstacles in the way.

Make sure you're parked in a well lit area.

Washington state man indicted for murder. He decided to shoot a catalytic converter thief. He would drag his body with this truck and leave him to die in a field.

With Ring cameras around, many thieves are trying to elude being seen on camera. Make sure you have a Ring or Blink camera (or a HD resolution home security camera) placed in a driveway or garage.

Never leave valuables in your car or glove compartment. 

Keep your doors locked and windows rolled up.

If you do have a Rexel Dash Camera (or HD resolution dash camera) make sure it's active. If any vibration comes to the vehicle, the dash camera will activate.

Law enforcement agencies and county officials require scrap yards and recycling centers to keep a record of intakes of certain items. The catalytic converter is a top priority on law enforcement's radar. 

The thieves must present a proper identification, license plate and phone number before they are to sell their converters to the scrap yard or recycling company. If the law is tipped to the theft, they will immediately notify these companies to be on the lookout for a person(s) trying to sell off numerous converters within a period of five days. Not all law enforcement agencies are doing it. In major cities like New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Francisco, Seattle and Atlanta, it's required that law enforcement be notified of large hauls of catalytic converters. Thieves often use unwilling dolts to take the converters to scrap yards on the promise of getting a cut.

Instead of calling the police, an Indiana mother decided to take matters into his own hands. She ended up becoming an embarrassment not only to her son but the city of Fort Wayne.

She will be heading to the Allen County lockup after a video surfaced of her chasing a teen with a knife.

The woman called the Black teen a NIGGER because she let her emotions get the best of her. Yeah, the "freedom of speech" allows you to say racial slurs. But the repercussions are real.

The incident happened in May when the woman's 13-year old son told her he was being assaulted by another teen at the playground. The woman rolled up on the teen and his siblings. She would exit her car with a knife and start chasing the teen around and using racial slurs. 

"That's right, you're running, NIGGER," the woman is heard saying.

Chasing a teen through a park with a knife calling him a NIGGER was really smart.

The woman has a warrant for her arrest and her whereabouts are unknown. 

ChangeMakers of Fort Wayne urged the public to contact local officials and demand action.

Daylana Saunders and Alisha Rauch with the group say this is a part of holding people accountable.

"I was appalled, angry, sickened," Rauch said. "The pressure that we were able to put on them and the support of our community made them able to charge her.” 

Saunders say they have a list of demands for the rest of suspect's case.

"We hope that the community realizes that when we work together, we can expose the disparities in our system," Saunders said. "We can work together for change.” 

She is being charged with intimidation, criminal mischief, assault with a deadly weapon, making terrorist threats and child abuse. These charges could put her in the iron college for up to five years if convicted.

The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The deaths of Michael and Trina Daniel shows how Black America's fears of vaccinations are real.

They either watched Fox or listened to a hotep talking about the Tuskegee experiments. The infamous Tuskegee experiments happened in the 1930s when the U.S. used syphilis on Black men.

The 53-year old and 49-year old died within three hours after testing positive for the delta strain of the coronavirus. 

The couple been married for 23 years.

Martin graduated from Tuskegee University in Alabama -- which collaborated on the study -- and "the government's syphilis experiments on Black men during the 1930s influenced his and his wife's decision not to get vaccinated."

"Just tying these two events together and understanding the historical context of what's going on, it really wears on me sometimes," said Cornelius Daniel, Martin's nephew.

The Daniels' family launched a fundraiser to benefit the couple's two teenage children.

The Tuskegee study, which ran from 1932 to 1972, had frequently been cited as one factor behind lower COVID-19 vaccination rates among African Americans.

Relishing on past sins, listening to Fox, playing politics with mask mandates and acting like this pandemic is a joke is why we're losing the battle.

Over 645,000 Americans died from the coronavirus. President Joe Biden had hopes that Americans would take this shit seriously. Unfortunately, Republicans so fucking eager to return to power will keep Americans fixated on the culture wars. Now vaccinations are part of this culture war.

But those fighting the culture war by not vaccinating, not wearing face mask in public, not following protocols, and deliberately ignoring federal and international rules when traveling are going to be the first casualties of the war. 

With this pandemic mostly affecting states where Republican governors are, we may have to return to wearing facial protection and cutting back services to reduce the spread of the coronavirus.

We came so far only to have a bunch of selfish idiots set it back. Just because they hate President Joe Biden.

The Republicans are so devoted to destroying Biden and the country for what....to regain power.

Pathetic.

According to the CDC, there is still not enough information on antibodies for COVID-19 and whether they can prevent someone from getting reinfected. It still recommends that people with a positive antibody test follow recommendations for protecting themselves and others.

The coronavirus doesn't care about your age, race, gender, sexuality, nationality, religion, politics, economic or social standings. It doesn't care about anything. It's a living organism that causes mild symptoms that include: fever, sore throats, chills, respiratory issues, loss of taste or smell and other unknown symptoms. If you have a weak immune system or health issues, your risk increases.

Death does happen to at least 40% of those who are affected by COVID-19. 

If you're not vaccinated, your chances of death increases to 48%.

Healthy people can die from this. Take this seriously. You only have one life!

President Joe Biden comes to Cincinnati to do a CNN Town Hall with Don Lemon. He also makes an appeal to Americans to support his infrastructure bill which the Senate failed to pass.

At the College of Mount St. Joseph, the president was asked about his policies, voting rights, the spike in coronavirus cases, the constant obstruction from Republicans and some Democrats, the federal court blocking the DREAM Act and his mistakes while in office.

It was robust.

He even brought up the controversial issues of the Brent Spence Bridge. Interstate 75 (and Interstate 71) crosses the Ohio River. It borders Cincinnati and Covington, Kentucky. The bridge is the gateway to the South. Over 340,000 vehicles travel that bridge daily. With that being said, the bridge is dangerous. It is extremely dangerous. After last year's accident in which a tanker blew up on the bridge, the Kentucky Transportation Department and Ohio Department of Transportation have vowed to get the bridge fixed.

Biden even said it's time to fix that "damn bridge."

Biden expressed pointed frustration Wednesday over the slowing COVID-19 vaccination rate in the U.S. and pleaded that it's "gigantically important” for Americans to step up and get inoculated against the virus as it surges once again.

Biden, speaking at a televised town hall in Cincinnati, said the public health crisis has turned largely into a plight of the unvaccinated as the spread of the delta variant has led to a surge in infections around the country.

“We have a pandemic for those who haven’t gotten the vaccination — it’s that basic, that simple,” he said on the CNN town hall.

The president also expressed optimism that children under 12 will be approved for vaccination in the coming months. But he displayed exasperation that so many eligible Americans are still reluctant to get a shot.

"If you’re vaccinated, you’re not going to be hospitalized, you’re not going to be in the IC unit, and you’re not going to die," Biden said at the forum at Mount St. Joseph University. "So it’s gigantically important that ... we all act like Americans who care about our fellow Americans.”

Over 80 minutes, Biden fielded questions on many of the pressing issues of the day, including his infrastructure package, voting rights and the makeup of the congressional commission that will investigate the Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capitol. He also reflected on what it’s like to be president, saying he’s sometimes taken aback by the pomp that comes with the job and the weight of being “the last guy in the room” left to make the call on daunting decisions.

Six months into his presidency, taming the coronavirus remains his most pressing problem.

U.S. hospitalizations and deaths are nearly all among the unvaccinated. But COVID-19 cases nearly tripled in the U.S. over two weeks amid an onslaught of vaccine misinformation that is straining hospitals, exhausting doctors and pushing clergy into the fray.

Across the U.S., the seven-day rolling average for daily new cases rose over the past two weeks to more than 37,000 on Tuesday, up from less than 13,700 on July 6, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. Just 56.2% of Americans have gotten at least one dose of the vaccine, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The president noted that the rise has become so concerning that even his critics are pushing back against vaccine disinformation.

Biden made an indirect reference to high-profile conservative personalities at Fox who have “had an altar call” and are now more openly speaking to their skeptical guests about the benefits of getting vaccinated. Sean Hannity recently told viewers, ”I believe in the science of vaccination" and urged them to take the disease seriously. Karen Doocy, who cohosts “Fox & Friends,” this week told viewers the vaccination “will save your life.”

Asked about rising prices, Biden acknowledged “there will be near-term inflation” as the economy rebounds from the pandemic but said it was “highly unlikely long-term inflation will get out of hand.”

Biden, who traveled to Ohio as he's trying to rev up support for his economic agenda, visited a union training center ahead of the town hall.

The trip comes as the fate of his infrastructure proposal remains unclear after Senate Republicans rejected a $1 trillion blueprint i n a key test vote Wednesday. A bipartisan group of 22 senators said in a joint statement after the vote that they were close to coming to terms on a deal and requested a delay until Monday.

Biden expressed confidence in the outcome, saying, “It’s a good thing and I think we’re going to get it done.”

While lawmakers wrangle over the details of that proposal on Capitol Hill, Biden made the case that his nearly $4 trillion package is needed to rebuild the middle class and sustain the economic growth the country has seen during the first six months of his presidency.

The president’s visit took him near the dangerously outdated Brent Spence Bridge — a chokepoint for trucks and emergency vehicles between Ohio and Kentucky that the past two presidents promised without success to replace.

Biden made a passing reference to the structure, telling town hall attendees it's time to “fix that damn bridge of yours.”

He delved into the personal when he faced a question about the scourge of drug addiction, noting he's “so damn proud” of his son Hunter Biden, who has published a memoir about his struggles with substance abuse. The president also noted he feels a bit self-conscious about some of the fringe benefits that come with the office. He elicited laughter when he said he told some of the White House staff not to come in to serve breakfast. The real reason: The president likes to eat breakfast in his robe.

Biden defended the filibuster against repeated questions from CNN moderator Don Lemon about why he feels the need to protect what some critics argue is a legislative tactic once used to protect racist policies.

He said he’s trying to bring the country together around the need to protect voting rights, and he doesn’t want “the debate to only be about whether or not we have a filibuster.” Biden said if Democrats removed the filibuster “you’re going to throw the entire Congress into chaos and nothing will get done.”

Back in Washington, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday rejected two Republicans selected by House GOP leader Karen McCarthy to sit on a committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection. McCarthy said the GOP won’t participate in the investigation if Democrats won’t accept the members he appointed.

Lemon asked how Biden could have confidence that Republicans and Democrats can get together on anything when they can’t even come to agreement on investigating the most brazen attack on the U.S. Capitol in 200 years.

Biden simply replied, “These people,” a nod to forum’s spectators and his faith in Americans writ large. But Biden seemed to also acknowledge the partisan rift in Washington had become maddening.

“I don’t care if you think I’m Satan reincarnated,” Biden said. “The fact is you can’t look at that television and say nothing happened on the 6th and listen to people who say this was a peaceful march."

It was said out loud at a town council in Alabama.

Do we have a house NIGGER in here?

In the city of Tarrant, Alabama, a councilman said the slur in front of the Black mayor in an attempt to undermine his leadership. Wayman Newton had to shrug off the slur made by Republican Karen Bryant, an old cracker who had a longtime seat on the city committee.

The white Tarrant city councilmen, used the racial epithet during a council meeting on Monday.

“Do we have a house NIGGER in here?” Bryant asked during the recorded council meeting. “Do we? Do we?”

In an interview with WVTM 13, Bryant said he repeated what Mayor Wayman Newton had called a fellow council member, Veronica Freeman, in executive session.

"[The mayor] doesn't need to use that term in front of everybody and I thought the city ought to know the terminology the mayor uses and I didn't want him to get away with it," Bryant said. 

Mayor Wayman Newton didn't immediately reply to a USA TODAY request for comment. 

In the video, attendees gasped after hearing the remark.

"We need to stop the racial slurs that the mayor makes and he's always picking on Veronica Freeman," Bryant told WVTM 13. " The city needs to know what kind of mayor and what kind of vocabulary he has."

In a statement viewed by AL.com, Newton said, "the video speaks for itself.”

Bryant is facing calls for his resignation after using the racial slur. 

“We were astonished. No one left, because we were actually very very in shock as to what he had said,” Tarrant resident Waynette Bonham told CBS 42.

Bonham said even if Bryant was repeating what he heard, he should not have used it.

“He should resign because he was way too comfortable standing up and using that word in front of a group of people of color,” Bonham told the station.

The Alabama Republican Party Chairman Karen Wahl told AL.com Bryant's behavior was unacceptable. 

"Such language is completely unacceptable in any setting, and even more concerning coming from an elected official,” Wahl said in a statement. 

The Alabama Democratic Party urged Bryant to resign and called him unfit to serve. 

“Alabama still has a long way to go when it comes to race, but cozying up to the KKK and using the N word should make you unfit to serve,” Wade Perry, the party’s executive director, said in a statement to AL.com. 

Bryant said the mayor used the slur in a derogatory way, but it was OK for him to say because he was repeating it. 

When asked by reporters if he would resign, Bryant said "absolutely not."

"I may even consider running for mayor next time,” Bryant said according to CBS 42.

Wayman Newton, the mayor of Tarrant, Alabama was called a racial slur.

Remind me why does the Republican Party claims to be the party of civil rights when they're literally trying to deny transgender children the right to play sports according to their gender?

Remind me why does the Republican Party think that opposing the John Lewis Voting Rights Bill and the For The People's Act is a token of their commitment towards voting and civil rights?

Remind me why does the Republican Party want to be the party that supports freedom of speech but yet want companies and people to be banned or punished for protesting injustices committed by Israel, systematic racism in the United States and whitewashing the infamous insurrection of 2021?

Remind me why does the Republican Party wants to delay President Joe Biden's agenda?

Is it because they believe Americans will forget about how a pandemic killed over 645,000 Americans? 

Or is it because the Republicans want to keep us distract with the "culture war" issues that propel the insurrection? 

I don't know but I can tell you that people of color should avoid voting for Republicans for the foreseeable future. The Republican Party and their policies are not helpful to anyone other than the powerful and incredibly ignorant.
