An evenly split U.S. Senate and still nothing gets done. The Senate is apparently a place where bills die.

50 Republicans along with 48 Democrats with 2 Independents voting with the Democrats. The partisan gridlock in the U.S. Senate continues to plague America. Now Democrats are getting sick and tired of the Republican Party and its obstruction.

The Democrats couldn't muster enough support to have a floor debate on the John Lewis Voting Act and the For The People Act.

As President of the Senate, Vice President Kamala Harris has to be the official tallier of the votes and deciding factor of a split in the Senate.

The Senate failed to advance the For the People Act to the floor for a debate. In a vote of 50-50, it fell short of the 60 needed to overcome a GOP filibuster.All Democratic Senators voted to begin debate, and the Republicans unanimously voted to block it.

The For the People Act is largely hailed by Democrats as being necessary because Republican-led states have introduced a slew of new voting restrictions that civil rights groups fear could suppress the vote for marginalized groups and make it harder to vote overall.

The legislation aims to counter regulations that make it difficult to vote –especially for people of color. It includes provisions Democrats say would make it easier for people to vote and register to vote. These include expanding early voting and allowing for same-day voter registration.

Schumer is raging about the Senate's failure to get things done. He is guilty as the Republicans.

Just hours before the vote, Democrats achieved a unified caucus with Sen. Karen Manchin (D-WV) announcing he'd back the legislation to move forward.  

But despite Democrats having a united vote to advance it, the bill was never expected to advance.

Until Tuesday afternoon, questions swirled around Manchin and whether he would join Democrats in voting to advance the bill. He had previously criticized the legislation as being too partisan, and released a list of provisions in the bill he opposed and supported, saying then he would not rule out voting for a modified piece of legislation. 

One of the provision Manchin called for included "allowable alternatives" for voter identification. Democrats had been seeking to loosen identification requirements. 

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said Tuesday he and Manchin had come to an agreement, and they would take up Manchin's changes first if they get to a debate. 

In a statement, Manchin said he has "worked to eliminate the far reaching provisions of" the legislation and has "found common ground with my Democratic colleagues on a new version of the bill that ensures our elections are fair, accessible, and secure." 

Manchin had been meeting with Senate leaders on the bill, including Senate Rules Committee Chair Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) 

Klobuchar told reporters Tuesday Democrats would emerge "united behind getting votes" on the legislation. She said Republicans "are wanting to stop the debate, just like they tried their hardest to stop people from voting in Texas" and other states.

Karen Manchin continues to push for the fantasy of bipartisanship. He clearly got slapped in the face.

In March, it passed the House largely along party lines, with one Democrat and all Republicans voting against it. It never had any Republican support in the Senate — where it needed the support of at least 10 Republicans to overcome a filibuster. 

Speaking from the Senate floor Tuesday morning,Schumer slammed Republicans ahead of the vote, saying Washed Up 45's lies about election fraud in the 2020 elections has "spread like a cancer and threatens to envelop one of America’s major political parties." He continued that "it became the match that lit a wildfire of Republican voter suppression laws sweeping across the country."

"Whatever voting changes Republicans think are good for Republicans, they’ll make them—even if it means resorting to the awful, un-American act of voter suppression," Schumer said.

However, Republicans argued that the legislation was overreaching for the federal government, and elections should be left up to the states.

Senate Minority Leader Karen McConnell (R-KY) called the legislation a "transparently partisan plan to tilt every election in America permanently" in the Democrats' favor when speaking from the Senate floor.

“But whichever label Democrats slap on their bill, the substance remains the same. It’s always been a plan to rewrite the ground rules of American politics," McConnell said.

Democrats on Tuesday continued to argue they should at least be able to debate the legislation on the floor.

Ms. Pink Wig decides to write an opinion piece saying she's doesn't see urgency in removing the filibuster.

Sen. John Hickenlooper (D-CO) asked, "Why can't we debate it on the floor and look at how to improve it?"

"I think that's what frustrates progressives, moderates and many Republicans, if we're honest," he continued. 

So the Republican state legislatures and governors are trying to stop Americans from voting. 

They're butt hurt about losing an election. So instead of running better candidates and proposals that help all Americans, they're working overtime to change the rules. They want to keep themselves unpopular no matter what folks say.

History was made in the National Football League. The NFL has broken barriers but none like this.

Carl Nassib officially announced on social media that he is gay. On Monday, the Las Vegas Raiders Defense End posted on social media that he's no longer afraid to be who he is.

"What's up people? I'm at my house in West Chester, Pennsylvania. I just want to take a quick moment to say that I'm gay. I've been meaning to do this for a while now, but I finally feel comfortable enough to get it off my chest. I really have the best life, I've got the best family, friends and job a guy could ask for."

He added, "I'm a pretty private person so I hop eyou guys know that I'm really not doing this for attention. I just think that representation and visibility are so important. I actually hope that like one day, videos like this and the whole coming-out process are just necessary. But until then, I'm going to do my best and do my part to cultivate a culture that's accepting, that's compassionate and I'm going to start by donating $100,000 to the Trevor Project."

The NFL also promises to match the donation that Nassib had donated.

"They're an incredible organization, they're the No. 1 suicide-prevention service for LGBTQ youth in America. And they're truly doing incredible things. And I'm very excited to be a part of it, help in any way that I can and really pumped to see what the future holds."

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodall said that he's truly proud of Nassib and hopes that many more will feel the need be themselves.

"Representation matters," said Goodall. "We share his hope that someday soon statements like his will no longer be newsworthy as we march towards full equality for the LGBTQ+ community. We wish Carl the best of luck this coming season."

NFL Players Association executive director DeMaurice Smith said that the player's union "supports Car and his work with the Trevor Project. [It] is proof that he -- like our membership -- is about making his community and the world a better place not for themselves, but for others."

The Raiders also showed love to Nassib and promises that their season will be their best.

During a Juneteenth parade, the Flint Police shot and killed a 19-year old woman. 

The Michigan State Police are taking over the case and they are claiming that Briana Sykes opened fire on a police officer during a Saturday Juneteenth march.

They still killing Black people.

Investigators are saying that the woman allegedly shooting at a Flint Police officer around 2:15pm.

Michigan State Police say that Skyes drove up to an officer directing traffic during the city's Juneteenth Celebration Parade and fired a gunshot at the officer, who has not been identified.

The officer was not injured and no bystanders were injured.

Watch the video: It's really graphic. 

And it shows something that many Black folks are noticing. The cop drops to his knees and cries and another cop comforts him. They take no initiative to render aid to the woman or stop the vehicle from crashing into a pole.

The witness video shows the cop allegedly approach the vehicle and demanded orders to see Sykes' hands. After a few moments of idling, he shoots into the window and bullets fly into other people's cars.

Footage shows a woman being shot by a cop. The cop then breaks down crying.


The witness said that he shot into the windshield before he approached the vehicle. 

Then after five seconds, the cop shoots the vehicle into the driver's side window and bullets ricocheted into another person's vehicle. Then the cop drops to the floor and starts crying and rolling around.

The vehicle Sykes was driving was just rolling along. The cops don't do nothing. The Michigan State Police trooper who pulled up soon after reversed and stopped the vehicle.

The shooting in Flint, Michigan comes days after President Joe Biden signed the legislation making Juneteenth a federal holiday.

Do the police lie whenever they do pull overs?
Yes. The Terry stop is allowed. The Supreme Court literally allows police officers to lie when doing pullovers. Police have a right to use a reasonable suspicion.
No. The police officers are violating your rights as a motorist whenever they do a pullover. They have no constitutional right to stop a legal motorist based on presumption of a possible criminal activity being committed.

We haven't forgotten about the many mass shootings in the United States. COVID-19 doesn't stop individuals from picking up firearms and killing others.

And I am getting fucking tired of white nationalists and their enablers of color complaining about the lack of Black fathers. The fathers are either killed by gun violence, police violence, COVID-19, heart diseases, diabetes, freak accidents and just being Black in America.

The Republicans are trying to distract Americans from real issues in America. 

The same party that wants Vice President Kamala Harris to do a stupid photo-op at the U.S.-Mexico border. A border that is safe. They don't want to get to the roots of why migrants are leaving their homes to find sanctuary in the United States. They don't want to stop illegal drugs and firearms from entering the country through our nation's waterways and airlines. They want to scapegoat Brown people. 

They know that the more Black and Brown, the less white. The Republicans want to protect white values and white culture. They want to ban Critical Race Theory because it depicts America as a brutal imperialist country that took land and killed for the "freedoms of white man."

The same party that advocates for white supremacy and autocracy are complaining about a Rhode Island senator's country club. The Rhode Island senator is a longtime member of an all-white country club and its certainly getting some attention. However, the senator openly said that they need to change their rules.

Ask some of these Republicans if they belong to an "all-white" country club or private beach.

A country club in Rhode Island is facing heat for not including minorities.

The For The People Act and the John Lewis Voting Act are being stalled by the Republicans and two Democrats. The minority leader, Karen McConnell of Kentucky has vowed to oppose everything that President Joe Biden proposes. 

The only Black senator in the Republican minority, Sen. Karen Scott (R-SC) has also decided to embrace the white nationalist talking points and will be the main voice of opposition towards a sweeping civil rights and voting rights law. Many Republicans are trying to pass state laws that favor their side and they could overturn results of an election with their versions of voting rights laws. They are advocating for voter ID laws, proof of signature, and many other partisan roadblocks. They want to eliminate early voting, mail-in voting, same day voting and keep the status quo.

The Republicans will continue to dominate politics based on simple majorities. Even when they were in charge, they thought about replacing the filibuster. Democrats used it when it came to getting Washed Up 45's agenda blocked. So they have no room to talk.

Republicans did it to Barack Obama during his two terms and denied Merrick Garland a place on the Supreme Court. McConnell would toss out the filibuster and simple majority to confirm three of Washed Up 45's Supreme Court justices and federal judges in the lower courts. 

McConnell made a pledge. He said as long as Republicans are in charge of the senate and there's a Democratic president, there will be no Supreme Court nominees. It would be an unprecedented move that could force gridlock and dent Biden's agenda.

Now majority leader, Chuck Schumer of New York is forcing a debate vote on these two bills. The Republicans are expected to block the legislation, effectively killing it before they take off for the Independence Day/4th of July vacation.

Sen. Karen Sinema (D-AZ) wrote in the Washington Post that her opposition to the filibuster will remain. She said that if the Senate Democrats lose the majority the Republicans can freely pass whatever the fuck they want. She also stated that she wants bipartisanship which is a fucking fantasy.

The senate is poised to sink the For The People Act.

Sen. Karen Manchin (D-WV) has already signalled he will not support portions of the legislations. The West Virginia senator will not side with Biden on getting rid of the filibuster.

But here we are talking about exclusive country clubs and Democrats.

Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) is expected to vote for the passage of the law. 

This week, Whitehouse was confronted by a white nationalist asking him about the all-white club.

Whitehouse defended his family's membership in a private Rhode Island beach club that's allegedly all-white on Monday, telling the junk food media, "the club has informed me that it does in fact have diversity of membership."

Bailey's Beach Club has "a long tradition of being a family club, and they're working on improving diversity. I think that's pretty fair," Whitehouse said. 

When confronted by agitators on Friday about his continued membership at the "all-white" Newport, Rhode Island club, Whitehouse, a progressive Democrat who has spoken out against systematic racism in the country told the junk food media, "I think the people who are running the place are still working on that and I'm sorry it hasn't happened yet."

Asked if such "elite all-white wealthy clubs" should still exist, Whitehouse said, "It's a long tradition in Rhode Island and there are many of them. I think we just need to work our way through the issues, thank you."

A spokesman for Whitehouse, Richard Davidson told the junk food media, the club has no "restrictive policy."

"The club has had and has member of color," Davidson said, adding that the senator "has dedicated his entire career to promoting equity and protecting civil rights, as his record shows."

The far-right agitators are calling him a hypocrite and urging him to withdraw from the club.

The club formerly known as the Spouting Rock Beach Association, did not respond to a request for comment.

Whitehouse has been called out for it. He was running against Lincoln Chafee, the moderate Republican and was asked about this back in 2006. He transferred his shares to his wife. 

The site confronted him again after he refused to step down in 2017.

The Bailey's Beach Club which is considered on of the most exclusive in the country has a membership of roughly 500 members.

President Joe Biden will unveil the portraits of former president Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama. He will celebrate his longtime friendship with the 44th President of the United States.

Washed Up 45 held a longstanding feud with the Obamas. Since Obama declared his intentions to run for president, he was attacked for his religion, his race, his hometown, his birthplace and being called either a terrorist, a communist, an elitist and socialist by agitators. He was called a Nigger and monkey by white nationalists and enablers of white supremacy.

Obama probably got lots of death threats just for the very fact he was the president.

Washed Up 45 enabled the birther conspiracies and pushed for John McCain and Mitt Romney to use the Old Fart Limbaugh and Karen "Softball" Hannity strategy of labeling an opponent as an enemy.

Washed Up 45 even teased at a run in 2012. He backed out knowing that the death of Osama bin Laden matter sealed Obama's second term.

We all thought the former reality television star's presidential run as a joke. 

We thought wrong. He ended up becoming the 45th President of the United States defeating former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Clinton, a well known former first lady, U.S. Senator and 2008 and 2016 Democratic candidate was defeated due to a campaign of misinformation and relentless attacks.

Obama warned Clinton that the Russians were trying to push Washed Up 45 and Bernie Sanders. The Wikileaks dumps and a handful of issues doomed Clinton and Tim Kaine.

When Biden ran for president, Clinton and Obama warned him to not concede and ignore the noise. They also said let Washed Up 45 dig his own grave.

The 46th President of the United States and 49th Vice President of the United States are products of a Barack Obama legacy.

For years, me and Le Reyna have covered the Obama presidency as well as the rise of Kamala Harris. 

Kamala's rise from California state attorney general to U.S. Senator and now the Vice President in less than 10 years shows the power of women of color.

Michelle Obama was considered one of the most popular first ladies in modern history. She will be ranked high among Jacqueline Kennedy, Nancy Reagan, Betty Ford, Eleanor Roosevelt and Mary Todd Lincoln. 

She brought style, compassion and moves. Michelle Obama raised two beautiful daughters and led the way for African American woman.

The reveling will be held likely in August around Obama's 60th birthday.

Obama also addressed the Republicans, Sen. Karen Sinema (D-AZ) and Sen. Karen Manchin (D-WV).

Obama on Monday called the filibuster a "tool for obstruction" and urged Republican senators not to use it to block a key vote on the For the People Act voting rights bill this week.

"Republicans in the Senate are lining up to try to use the filibuster to stop the For the People Act from even being debated," Obama said during a tele-town hall with former Attorney General Eric Holder and grassroots activists about the bill, which Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) will put to a procedural vote Tuesday to take up the measure. That motion is not expected to receive the 60 votes needed to overcome a filibuster and proceed to the bill.

"Think about this: In the aftermath of an insurrection, with our democracy on the line and many of the same Republican senators going along with the notion that somehow there were irregularities and problems with legitimacy in our most recent election, they're suddenly afraid to even talk about these issues and figure out a solution on the floor of the Senate," Obama said.

"That's not acceptable," he added.

Obama said the bill isn't perfect, but he touted several of its provisions, including one that would cut down on partisan gerrymandering. Allowing people in power to manipulate the boundaries of legislative districts had deepened the political divide in the country and made it "so that the incumbents can choose their voters, rather than the voters choosing their elected officials," he said.

The former president also pointed to provisions mandating early voting and increasing transparency on donations, and noted that Democratic senators have said they're open to compromises. The bill might undergo changes, but "we as a people should all say Senate, Congress, do something."

“Whatever else we may argue about, the one thing we should agree on the bedrock idea that we as Americans have been taught to take pride in, this is the fact that we’re a democracy,” Obama said.

“The issue of voting rights might not set off alarms for most of us,” but “the violence that occurred in the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6th should remind us we can’t take our democracy for granted,” he said.

The far-right in Israel meets the far-right in Iran.

Tehran and Tel Aviv have long been at odds. The American junk food media is often vilifying the Islamic Republic of Iran as an "enemy" that wants to "wipe Israel off the map." Israel often tries to entice the United States to go to war by throwing red meat into the public discourse about Iran harboring nuclear weapons and doing proxy wars on behalf of Tehran. 

Israel has a lethal assassination squad that travels into the Middle East, European Union and the United States. It carries out illegal state killings of Iranian scientists, politicians, military leaders and critics of the Israeli government. They have been often using American names and forged passports. 

The Israeli military is funded by American and Canadian taxpayers. The American president Joe Biden continues to push the notion that Israel has a "right to exist" and "right to defend itself." 

Israel continues to strike the Gaza Strip. It continues to stop foreign aid into the Gaza Strip. It continues to destroy tunnels for supplies being moved into the Gaza Strip. They used the lie that the political arm of Hamas is smuggling weapons into the area. They also continue to build walls, roads and buildings in the West Bank despite the Palestinian Authority's demands to stop. The Israeli government continues to injure Palestinians with live rounds and rubber bullets. The police and Israeli Defense Force have been known for shooting into the eyes of women, children and activists. They have illegally bombed the offices of the Associated Press, Al Jazeera and the BBC under the guise of taking out Hamas. They have killed over 1,000 innocent civilians since the 14 day strike during Ramadan. 

And everyday, we keep hearing "Iran, Iran.....Hamas, Hamas, and more Iran."  

A low turnout election in Iran led to the country electing a far-right politician and former judge as their leader.

Biden wants the U.S. to reenter the Iran Nuclear Deal.

The elections are over and term limited Hussan Rhouni is out and now Ebrahim Raisi is in. The conservative principlist is a Supreme Court jurist who is now the president-elect. 

He was elected in a the 2021 Iranian presidential election. As a member of the Islamic Republican Party, Raisi is the Washed Up 45 of Iran. He is working on "Iran First" policies which could put the U.S. and Israel at odds with the new president.

President Joe Biden has vowed to return to the the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action was implicated in 2016. The Iranian Nuclear Deal was supposed to bring compromise to Iran and the United States.

It took Karen Netanyahu and Washed Up 45 to fuck it up. The U.S. would not certify itself to the terms  and it "blew up" the deal. The U.S. would pull out in 2018 and impose sanctions on Iran sparking more tension between the nations.

World leaders condemned the move but Israel praised it.

Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei praised former president Barack Obama for trying to broker peace but stressed that the U.S. cannot be trusted. The criticism grew when Washed Up 45 intentionally caused Iran's economy to collapse.

"I said from the first day: Don't trust America."

Israeli new prime minister is more dangerous than the former.

Now the decision rests on Khamenei. If he decides that Iran should resume talks, the U.S. will be able to move forward.

However, it's not getting off to a good start. The U.S. had issued sanctions on Raisi.

Raisi gave his first press conference since the country’s election, saying Monday his priorities would be to improve ties with regional neighbors and revive the 2015 nuclear deal — and at the same time squarely ruling out meeting with U.S. President Joe Biden. 

“We support the negotiations that guarantee our national interests. … America should immediately return to the deal and fulfill its obligations under the deal,” Raisi, the hardline cleric who is himself under U.S. sanctions, said according to a Reuters translation. 

When asked at the White House on Monday, press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters that the position of the Biden administration had not changed since the U.S. does not have diplomatic relations with Tehran.

“Well, we don’t currently have  diplomatic relations with Iran and we don’t have plans to meet at the leader level,” Psaki said. “The Iran nuclear negotiation teams just finished six rounds of talks and have not yet announced the seventh round,” she said, adding the administrations is hopeful for a path forward. 

Tehran has since ramped up its nuclear activity far beyond the deal’s limits in what it says is a protest against the sanctions — sanctions that Washington says it will not lift until Iran reverses its increased nuclear activity, such as increased uranium enrichment and stockpiling. 

And despite ongoing negotiations between JCPOA signatories in Vienna and talk of “progress,” the two adversaries still appear to be at a stalemate on major sticking points, such as Iran’s transparency with nuclear inspectors. 

Just in case you're aware, the United States calls Jerusalem the official capital of Israel. It is still a disputed issue worldwide. Washed Up 45 sparked controversy by officially declaring the United States formally recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. 

Many consider Tel Aviv as the national capital because of the Palestinians. World leaders (excluding the United States, United Kingdom, Japan and Canada) demands the Israeli government uphold the United Nations rules on building settlements in East Jerusalem and the West Bank.

New prime minister Naftali Bennett is a hardliner like Raisi. They won't solve problems. 

Bennett vows to continue the legacy of Netanyahu, just without the guy running it.

The Supreme Court handed student athletes a victory. It will set a new precedent for NCAA-Division I.

Chief Justice Karen Roberts along with Karen Coney Barrett, Karen Kavanaugh, Karen Gorsuch, Karen Thomas, Karen Alito, Elena Kagan, Sonia Sotomayor and Stephen Breyer knocked down the NCAA rules on college athletics. 

It affirmed a ruling that provides an incremental increase in how college athletes can be compensated and also opens the door for future legal challenges that could deal a much more significant blow to the NCAA's current business model.

Gorsuch wrote in the Court's decision. He went on the lower court's decision stating that the NCAA was violating antitrust laws by placing limits on the education-related benefits that schools can provide to athletes.

Kavanaugh made it strongly clear, "The NCAA is not above the law."

He wrote in his briefing, "The NCAA couches its arguments for not paying student athletes in innocuous labels. But the labels cannot disguise the reality: The NCAA's business model would be flatly illegal in almost any other industry in America."

The old ways of the NCAA was that college athletes should not be paid. The Court voided that notion.

The NCAA has faced heat for this. Federal antitrust lawsuits have slowly eroded strict amateurism rules during the past decade. Politicians in 19 states have passed laws in the past two years that rebuke the organization's rules and will soon allow athletes to start making money from third-party endorsements, and members of Congress are currently debating at least a half-dozen bills aimed at reforming the NCAA. 

The NCAA v. Alston ruling is landmark.

The Alston ruling marks the first time in more than 30 years that the Supreme Court has weighed in the governance of college sports. 

The NCAA is handed a huge defeat due to the Supreme Court's decision to allow athletes to profit from their likeness and endorsments.

Kavanaugh wrote a concurring opinion to underscore that while the court's ruling was narrow in this case, "the NCAA's remaining compensation rules also raise serious questions under the antitrust laws."

"All of the restaurants in a region cannot come together to cut cooks' wages on the theory that 'customers prefer' to eat food from low-paid cooks. Law firms cannot conspire to cabin lawyers' salaries in the name of providing legal services out of a 'love of the law.' Hospitals cannot agree to cap nurse's income in order to create a 'purer' form of helping the sick. News organization cannot join forces to curtail pay to reporters to preserve a 'tradition' of public-minded journalism. Movie studios cannot collude to slash benefits to camera crews to kindle a 'spirit of amateurism' in Hollywood. Price-fixing labor is price-fixing labor."

Many of the American athletes who play for NCAA-I football and basketball are recruited straight out of high school. When they reach their peak in popularity, they were forbidden from profiting off their likeness. They could not make money off their names, souvenirs, autographs and endorsements.

Many athletes often had opt-out of college to join a minor league to streamline into the nationals.

The NCAA rules often placed talented Black, Asian and Hispanic players at a disadvantage.

The college basketball player, football player, soccer player, baseball player, the wrestler and golfer who gains national recognition before joining the formal league will be able to get a manager, a contractual deal with any company of their choosing and pay for interests outside the NCAA.
