DirecTV will eliminate OANN from its lineup in spring. |
AT&T's DirecTV has formally announced it was no longer a carrier of a far right network that they bankrolled. The One America News Network will no longer be catering to 70 million homes.
By April, the satellite company will drip the network most notorious for peddling election fraud lies and downplaying the insurrection.
Some say this is a blow to the network. It sought to be an alternative to mainstream far right networks like Fox and Newsmax.
Washed Up 45 has encouraged his supporters to watch the network.
The satellite-TV provider informed Herring Network, Inc., that it plans to stop carrying the company's two channels when their contract expires. Herring Networks also owns AWE, a lifestyle channel that stands for "A Wealth of Entertainment."
The network once had a place at the White House. During the pandemic, agitator and cartoonist Karen Rion was briefly pulled after the White House Correspondents' Association had a place at the White House Briefing Room. She continued to violate the terms of the COVID-19 restrictions. Then press secretary Karen Grisham, gave her a temporary return pass. It's not clear if she's even in this time.
With a new president, the OANN folks has been somewhat sidelined.
