The suspect that robbed her is facing charges. He is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The security footage was leaked to social media and now the judge admitted she said the ugly slur.
"I take full responsibility for the hurtful words used to describe the individual who burglarized the vehicles at my home I am sorry for the pain that I have caused my community and ask for your forgiveness, as my words did not foster the public's confidence and integrity for the judiciary," said the former judge as it was submitted to the Louisiana Supreme Court filed by her attorney Dane Ciolino.
"[She] understand that this is the end of her public service, but only the beginning of what she must do to earn the forgiveness of the community."
The video surfaced on The Current on Dec. 13. It was shot from her home. It had several voices laugh and recap the incident while repeatedly using NIGGER to describe the robber. The judge was also saying the slur.
She claims she has "zero recollection" of the incident. She requested an unpaid leave of absence before she was temporarily disqualified from the bench.
She once represented the Layfette City Courts in Layfette Parish. She has four adult children and she is totally "humiliated, embarrassed and sorry for what she has done and the trouble that she has caused to her community."
