Misogyny/Antifeminism are Common in Mass Shooters

Misogyny as the common trait of mass murders

Mourners at a vigil to honor mass shooting victims in Dayton, Ohio

People need to take notice of the growing anti woman sentiments in America.  The incel movement is taken hold in both White and Asian communities and is growing along with PUA, mens' rights, and traditional anti feminist movement.  These men are a danger to society and civilization at large.

Woman hating and racism are connected.  One cannot have one without the other.  As feminist writer Paula Giddings wrote in her first book, that those who undermine the rights of Blacks are also the most vehement anti feminists.

Today, the NYT has published an article regarding mass shooting and how its connected to misogyny.  I'm giving the excerpt from the article.

Common Trait Among Mass Murders: Hatred of Women

As the nation grapples with last weekend’s mass shootings and debates new red-flag laws and tighter background checks, some gun control advocates say the role of misogyny in these attacks should be considered in efforts to prevent them.
The fact that mass shootings are almost exclusively perpetrated by men is “missing from the national conversation,” said Gov. Gavin Newsom of California on Monday. “Why does it have to be, why is it men, dominantly, always?”

Shannon Watts, the founder of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, cited a statistic that belies the sense that mass shootings are usually random: In more than half of all mass shootings in the United States from 2009 to 2017, an intimate partner or family member of the perpetrator was among the victims.

Can we say George Sodini, Elliott Rodgers, Devin Kelley, Scott Beierle, Alek Minassien?  These are the guys who are mass shooters motivated by misogyny and antifeminist sentiments.

Those sentiments are echoed by powerful men in government, business, military, academia, science and religion.  Both Republican and Democratic parties aren't interested in addressing the increasing misogyny and guns among men, especially nonblack men.  This is dangerous and its putting the vast majority of people at risk.

I long for the day when women are safe and protected from harm and violence. This evil needs to stop.
