Student Suspended From Maryland Frat After Allegedly Sending Racist, Sexist Email

Less than a week after members of a University of Oklahoma fraternity were expelled for a racist chant captured on video, a University of Maryland frat is under fire for a racist and sexist email sent more than a year ago.
The email, from a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity, was written in January 2014, according to a statement from the University’s president, and included “vulgar language.”
The email also reportedly contains “racial slurs referring to black, Indian and Asian women,” a local NBC affiliate reported. The sender of the email also allegedly alluded to raping women during the frat’s annual rush week.

"Regardless of the rush shirt let's get rachet as f*** during rush week. My d**k will be sucked and f***ed in compound basement whether you guys like it or not. Don't invite any n****r gals or curry monsters or slanted eye ch***s, unless they're hot. Ziggy you're [sic] girl can come she's cool. Remember my n***as, erect, assert, and insert, and above all else, f*** consent ... d**ks untouched."

It's sad, but it's typical of frats around the country. They're bastions of elitism and exclusivity in an increasingly multiracial and multi ethnic nation. Those people can't stand diversity. They lash out in racist, ethnocentric slurs and revel in sexism. S.B. and Lilvoka condemn the racist/sexist hatred cultivated in frats and in the media/academia in general.
