Cedric Benson Passed Away!

Former NFL running back Cedric Benson passed away in Texas.
The NFL is mourning the loss of a well know football star who played for the Chicago Bears and Cincinnati Bengals. Cedric Benson was killed in a fatal motorcycle accident in Austin, Texas.

Benson was the No. 4 pick in the 2005 NFL draft.

He was 36 years old.

Law enforcement reported the crash happened on Saturday night when a motorcycle hit a minivan that was pulling out onto the roadway. Benson and his passenger were both killed and two others were injured.

The motorcycle crashed into the vehicle and caught on fire.

Benson reportedly purchased a photo of his BMW motorcycle on his social media.

Benson was then a former University of Texas Longhorn who finished great with 5,540 rushing yards during his college career that ranks sixth all-time in NCAA Division I-A history and second only to Ricky Williams in team history.

Benson did have a great eight years with the NFL.

He played for the Chicago Bears, the Cincinnati Bengals and lastly the Green Bay Packers before he retired. He had suffered a Lisfranc injury to his foot.

He had some run-ins during his time. He was arrested for public intoxication and operating a vehicle under the influence. He was reportedly arrested for serving a bartender a knuckle style chili. He also had other incidents in the Austin area.
