John Glenn Passed Away!

Famed astronaut and former U.S. Senator John Glenn passed away.

Sad news to report. The legendary astronaut and former Democratic senator from Ohio, John Glenn passed away. Around that time, he was hospitalized at the Ohio State University James Cancer Center. A specific cause of death wasn't revealed but at the time of his death, the family confirmed he was in dire straits.

Buzz Aldrin is suffering from declining health issues as well. He was in Antarctica when he was getting ill and had to return back to the United States. He was told of the news while in the hospital.

President Barack Obama and President-elect Donald Trump were notified of the passing.

Obama said that "with John's passing, our nation has lost an icon."

"When John Glenn blasted off from Cape Canaveral atop an Atlas rocket in 1962, he lifted the hopes of a nation," Obama said in a statement. "And when his Friendship 7 spacecraft splashed down a few hours later, the first American to orbit the Earth reminded us that with courage and a spirit of discovery there’s no limit to the heights we can reach together."

Trump said in a tweet that the nation had lost "a great pioneer of air and space in John Glenn. He was a hero and inspired generations of future explorers."

Ohio governor John Kasich, Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) and Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH) were notified as well.

Glenn was the last survivor of the Mercury 7. He was selected in 1959 as NASA's first groups of astronauts. He became the first American to orbit the Earth on February 20th, 1962.

He was born on July 18, 1921 in Cambridge, Ohio to Clara and John H. Glenn, Sr. The family moved to New Concord when he was young. His father was involved in the business of plumbing. He didn't want to get into the business, he wanted to be an engineer.

He went to Muskingum College to study there. He dropped out to join the Navy. He was influenced to join after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. In World War II, John flew 59 combat missions in the South Pacific as Marine aviator. He flew a further 90 combat missions during the Korean War. He survived skirts with enemy fire and lived to tell about it.

Around that time, he met his love Annie and she always had his back. They would have two children and live in Columbus, Ohio.

Glenn was elected to the U.S. Senate in 1974. Served from 1975 until 1999. He lost his first bid for the Senate from Ohio in 1970, after abandoning a race in 1964 because of a head injury suffered in a fall.

Glenn was briefly considered as a running mate for Democratic presidential candidate Jimmy Carter in 1980. But a ponderous address at the Democratic National Convention – people walked out – caused Carter to remark that Glenn was "the most boring man I ever met."

Glenn sought the Democratic presidential nomination himself in 1984 but was quickly eliminated by eventual nominee Walter Mondale, Carter's vice president. His failure was all the more stinging because he had been touted as an early front-runner.

In the Senate, Glenn was respected as a thoughtful moderate with expertise in defense and foreign policy. But his career's luster was dulled by a Senate investigation of the "Keating Five" – five senators suspected of doing favors for campaign contributor Charles Keating Jr. The panel eventually found Glenn did nothing improper or illegal.

He took a leading role in seeking to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons, especially to Pakistan. He was the author of a law that forced the United States to impose sanctions on India and Pakistan in 1998 after both countries conducted nuclear tests.

He also was a staunch advocate of a strong military and took a keen interest in strategic issues. He retired from the Senate in 1999.

Thirty-six years after his maiden space voyage, Glenn became America's first geriatric astronaut on Oct. 29, 1998. He was 77 years old when he blasted off as a mission specialist aboard the shuttle Discovery. He saw it as a blow to stereotyping of the elderly.

"Maybe prior to this flight, we were looked at as old geezers who ought to get out of the way," Glenn said after his nine-day shuttle mission. "Just because you’re up in years some doesn't mean you don't have hopes and dreams and aspirations just as much as younger people do."

Recently the city of Columbus renamed its airport John Glenn Metro Columbus International Airport.

The former was Port Columbus.

The skies are the limit for a legend. He will be sorely missed. Godspeed John Glenn.

Pat McCrory Exits Stage Left!

One bigot goes down but there's plenty more left.

Republican governor Pat McCrory has conceded. The inept governor of North Carolina was defeated in the recount. It marks an unique feat. The Republican governor doesn't cruise along with the fuhrer in waiting Donald J. Trump and Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC).

His defeat to Roy Cooper was a nailbiter. McCrory's legacy will be tarnished by the Bathroom Law that he supported. The bathroom law led to a boycott of the state.

The Republican incumbent had filed for a statewide recount last month, but lost virtually all hope of eking out a reelection victory when Cooper's lead had surpassed 10,000 votes last week -- and the threshold whereby state law allows McCrory to ask for a recount. As of Monday, Cooper was up by 10,563 votes, according to the North Carolina Board of Elections.

The concession marks the end of a drawn-out process that saw McCrory's campaign and supporters raise multiple questions about the legitimacy of the election results -- accusations his critics saw as an attempt to undermine the will of the voters.

McCrory filed complaints in about half of the state's 100 counties but no evidence of widespread voter fraud ever came to light. All of those complaints were rejected by McCrory's own Republican appointees serving on local county election boards.

Last week, the State Board of Elections -- also Republican-controlled -- ordered a recount in Durham due to a delay in the county's returns being added to the statewide tally. According to the Raleigh News & Observer, the delay came because election workers entered information from ballot tabulators' paper tapes after they were unable to read data from six memory cards that also came from the tabulators.

North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory conceded the close gubernatorial race on Monday to his Democratic challenger, Roy Cooper, concluding one of the last outstanding contests of the 2016 election nearly a month after voters cast their ballots.

In a YouTube video released Monday, McCrory said it was "time to celebrate our Democratic process" and respect "the ultimate outcome of the closest North Carolina race in modern history."

"Despite continued questions that should be answered regarding the voting process, I personally believe that the majority of our citizens have spoken, and we now should do everything we can to support the 75th governor of North Carolina, Roy Cooper," McCrory said.

Cooper released a statement in response, thanking McCrory for his service to the state and noting, "while this was a divisive election season, I know still that there is more that unites us than divides us."

Experts on the equipment told Durham officials that the paper tapes were reliable, and several political watchers believed the results would be unchanged after a county recount. Durham is one of the strongest Democratic counties in the state, and Cooper won it by a wide margin of 79 percent to 20 percent.

Having signed a spate of unpopular legislation that restricted voting, reproductive and LGBTQ rights, McCrory was greeted with a number of cheers following his decision to accept defeat on Monday.

"Pat McCrory's reign of discrimination is finally over," said the Human Rights Campaign president Chad Griffin in a statement. The HRC had aggressively campaigned against House Bill 2, a measure McCrory signed that blocked transgender people from using government building bathrooms in accordance with their gender identities.

HB2 sparked a national backlash, with numerous boycotts from businesses, musicians and sports organizations. In one of the biggest repercussions for a state where college sports is almost a religion, the NCAA and ACC earlier this year relocated several championship games out of North Carolina over the discriminatory legislation.

"McCrory's stubborn and reckless support of HB2 cost him this election, and his defeat sends a powerful warning to lawmakers across the country that targeting LGBTQ people will not be tolerated," added Griffin. "We look forward to working with Governor-elect Roy Cooper and fair-minded lawmakers to repeal HB2. It's way past time to repair the harm inflicted on North Carolina's people, reputation and economy."

Still Fighting From Behind!

The Republicans plan to repeal eight years.

With the fuhrer coming into office, Republicans feel that they're confident to repeal the first term of President Barack Obama. With their top priorities including a Supreme Court nominee, repeal Obamacare, pass the Keystone XL pipeline, recognize the threat of "radical Islam", and pass anti-choice laws nationwide, Republicans believe this is going to be an easy ride for them.

Democrats are seething with rage over their defeat. They want revenge!

Republicans have demonized Obama for the two terms and now they're trying to normalize Donald J. Trump as a rational leader. He will pick a cabinet and his very words could jeopardize the world.

Republicans are still stuck in the 20th Century.

And they continue to promise to bring "real change" back to Washington while still doing nothing.

They will continue to be inept and worthless.

Democrats will continue to be worthless as well. They continue to pick Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) as their House Minority Leader. And it's likely warmongering Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) will be the Minority Leader of the U.S. Senate. Pelosi, Schumer and the Democrats weren't tough enough to stand against the onslaught of misinformation being spread around by websites like The Drudge Report, InfoWars, WorldNetDaily, ZeroHedge, and Breitbart.

Democrats are the party of diversity but it's losing support among those who felt that the party accommodating Republican policies.

We have a million problems in this country. About 1/3 of the problems will likely be solved. Most of these issues will be partisan rancor. I bet you money that the moment the Republicans get into power, they'll be drunk on it.

Junk Food Media Trying To Norrnalize Trump!

Time gave the cover to Donald Trump.

Time Magazine announced that Donald J. Trump will be it's magazine's Person of the Year.

This ends a "HUGE" year for the controversial billionaire/racist/sexist/pussy grabbing/immature/reality television star who will become your Fuhrer of the United States.

Already the junk food media is normalizing the asshole.

I refuse to give this asshole the luxury of being respected as the President.

I refuse to allow the junk food media to toss his salad.

On January 20th, 2017, Trump and his Christian Extremist partner Mike Pence will take office in a Republican controlled Congress.

Republicans will now have to defend everything Trump does. Trust me, this is a honeymoon period for the asshole. Once he takes office, his power will impact the lives of millions.

I refuse to allow the junk food media to normalize the racism and bigotry of those who gave this asshole the victory.

Adult Swim Ain't Saving This POS Called Million Dollar Extreme!

Disturbing show canned because of ties to White extremism.

Adult Swim, the late night Cartoon Network affiliate cuts ties to Sam Hyde and his Million Dollar Extreme show. The Million Dollar Extreme presents World Peace was axed after a few episodes.

It cuts its ties from the show because it's a part of this White extremist movement called the alt-right.

Hyde claims himself as a hoaxster, comedian and professional agitator. On his social media feed he called actress/celebrity agitator Lena Dunham, a fat pig, mocked Hillary Clinton, Black Lives Matter and women wearing hijabs.
Douche created a show that dog whistle White extremism.
This show was a penchant of anti-humor, not so subtle racism, homophobia and Islamophobia.

It ran with the tagline "Celebrate Diversity Every Friday at 12:15A EST".

I never heard of the show but it was winning support among the extremists online.

Some of the show's content had suggestions of Neo Nazi propaganda.

Hyde has been on social media calling for an "unprecedented boycott" of Cartoon Network and CNN because of its liberal bias.

Welcome to Donald J. Trump's America.

You're Nuts!

A peanut server who got famous for shrilling was fired out the cannon for having ties to White extremism.
I blame Donald J. Trump, Mike Pence, Pat Toomey and the idiots who voted for them. I want to assure you that this nobody from Philadelphia is now a somebody. We gave this click bait attention she doesn't really need. And it's all because of her support of the Trumpster and the so-called alt-right movement.

The "ah hem" alt-right movement is celebrating the victory of their fuhrer.

Some beeyotch named Emily Youcis is catching flack for being the savior of this professional White bigots in this extremist movement.

This nobody is a jack of all crazy. She prodded herself online and now White extremists are embracing her shrilling.

I don't really care what she does. I want this beeyotch shut down.

The controversial billionaire/racist/sexist/pussy grabbing/reality television star who will become your president on January 20th. His victory was in part of this extremist movement's relentless pandering of fake news and kookspiracies.

This beeyotch was a peanut vendor at the Philadelphia Phillies games. Well she was fired out the cannon over the weekend after she was revealed to have support to White extremism.

For years this "pistachio girl" was serving them nuts at Citizens Bank Park and was the liveliest server at the baseball stadium.

Aramark, which operates food concessions at Citizens Bank Park, tells The Philadelphia Inquirer that Youcis is no longer employed after "publicly connecting our company to views that contradict our values."

Youcis was involved in a tussle last month outside the conference of the National Policy Institute, a white nationalist group. Youcis tried to interview protesters, asking questions like: "Do you hate white people?" A protester spray-painted Youcis' hair and a photographer was bloodied. Some protesters were taken into police custody.

The shrill beeyotch was screaming "Pistachios" irritating the fans of the game.

Massive Fire In Oakland Kills Dozens!

Oakland club fire claims 50 people.

I am fatigued of a lot of things. Tragedies are one of them. I am tired of hearing about how many people died in tragedies that could have been prevented. If we had a Congress that would pass regulations on building safety, some of these incidents could have been prevented. California is one of the states with the most regulations on the environment and safety of buildings. Given that California sits on the Ring of Fire Earthquake zone, the state assembly passed laws that stops companies from having unsafe structures like this tragedy in Oakland.

Somehow the party was too big and there were not enough escape routes. In case of an emergency, some would hide in the restroom or kitchen. Obviously some of the victims may have been in the restroom or in areas where exits weren't available.

There was a massive fire that led to tragedy in Oakland, California. It happened in a converted warehouse called The Ghost Ship. At the time of the fire, the warehouse was hosting a concert promoted by the house music label called 100% Silk and featured musicians from the label.

At present time nearly three dozen people were killed in the fire. This is probably one of the deadliest fires in Oakland. It would be counted one of the deadliest in the United States.

It's not known to how the fire was started but it was bad building preparations that made it impossible for victims to escape the fire. Given a fire could cause a stampede. Some of the victims were trampled as others tried to escape.

I blame Donald J. Trump, Mike Pence and Republicans for promising to cut regulations to building safety.
