There You Go Again!

Congressman Todd Akin (R-Missouri) is under fire for comments.
Missouri U.S. Senate Race: Claire McCaskill (Democrat) (Incumbent) 49% - Todd Akin (Republican) 43%.

Senator Claire McCaskill (D-Missouri) is rising in the polls. The Republicans are having second thoughts about abandoning Congressman Todd Akin (R-Missouri). What little chances they have to take control of the Senate is dimming. The Republicans are now going to put their chips on Akin.

After numerous attempts to take the Republican senate nominee off the ballot, a defiant Todd Akin told the Republicans that he's in it to win! Despite his defiance, the polls still show this as a toss up. It's leaning in the Democratic column.

Now the debate are on the way and Republicans are hoping that the controversy that Akin caused will die down! The controversy of last month has all but ruin the Republicans chances at taking the seat from an embattled McCaskill.

The Huffington Post reports that Republican Senate candidate Akin told reporters on Thursday that his opponent, Democratic incumbent McCaskill, debated like a "wildcat" and should have been much more "ladylike" in her 2006 campaign against Jim Talent, than she is in her campaign against Akin.

Akin suggested that McCaskill took an aggressive approach in her opening segment because she was worried about her reelection chances.

Senator Claire McCaskill (D-Missouri) is leading in polls.
McCaskill “had a confidence and was very much more sort of ladylike,” Akin told a Bloomberg reporter at a stop on his "Common Sense" bus tour in Jefferson City, Missouri. “In the debate we had Friday, she came out swinging, and I think that’s because she was threatened."

Akin, famous for his comment that victims of "legitimate rape" have physical mechanisms that stop them from becoming pregnant, has been angling for the support of women in Missouri by campaigning with anti-feminist icon Phyllis Schlafly. Schlafly has been an outspoken opponent of birth control access, equal pay for women, paid maternity leave and LGBT rights.

Akin's comment about McCaskill on Thursday is not the first time a male politician has accused a female colleague of not being ladylike. Congressman Allen West (R-Florida) told Congresswoman. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Florida/Democratic Party Leader ) in a 2011 email, "you are not a Lady" and "shall not be afforded due respect from me!"

And when Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minnesota) interrupted Arlen Specter during a 2010 radio interview, he told her, "I'm going to treat you like a lady. Now act like one."

The Los Angeles Times report that top Republicans, including Mitt Romney, the party's presidential nominee, have said Akin should abandon his candidacy. The party is struggling to close the gender gap among female voters that favors President Obama.

But as the GOP's chances dim for picking up the seats needed to win majority control of the Senate, top conservative Republicans have announced they would back Akin with endorsements and financial support.

Congressman Steve King (R-Iowa), Senator Jim DeMint (R-South Carolina), Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum and Senator Jim Inhofe (R-Oklahoma) have thrown their support for Congressman Todd Akin in his bid for the U.S. Senate.

Virginia Republicans Spread Racist Anti-Obama Pictures!

(via Va. GOP orders affiliate to remove offensive Obama photos)
Second term is a coming! It's going to get worse before it gets better! Republicans are sending these racist emails! Yet they hate being called racist by the so-called "liberal media!"
Tell that guy over at FightBigotry, there's another one of his good buddies spreading around racist emails.

There's reasons why the Republican Party fails at winning the Black vote. Offensive as they are, the freedom of speech allows them to be the total racist assholes they've proven to be!

Virginia Republicans spread around offensive photos of President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama and other members of Washington and the corporate owned media.

The Washington Post has reported that the offensive photos were removed. There's a total conservative asshole who spent his time in the bunker with his Photoshop function trying rile up the rational! And fo course, they're nothing better than seeing this stuff online right? These images below are NSFW (Not Safe For Work).

President Barack Obama photoshopped to look like a witch doctor, a caveman, and a thug recently appeared, not on the Facebook page of a misbehaving teen, but on the official Facebook page of the Mecklenburg County Republican Committee. The photos have been there for months, the Washington Post reports, but apparently started getting widespread attention this week. Now the Virginia Republican Party has officially told the affiliate to take the pictures down.

"These kinds of images have no place in political discourse—period," says the chairman of the Republican Party of Virginia. "They are offensive, tasteless and should never have been posted anywhere, let alone a local unit’s Facebook page." The executive director of the group that brought the images to light calls them racist, saying they "seek to portray our president, and black men more broadly, as, quote unquote, savages." But the chairman of the committee, who posted most of the pictures, says anyone who's offended just doesn't have a sense of humor. He laughed off news that the Republican Party wanted the pictures removed, and they were still up as of this afternoon.

R. Wallace “Wally” Hudson, chairman of the committee, was surprised to hear from a reporter that anyone had taken offense.

“If that group is that sensitive, I’m sorry, they’re just not human,” he said, chuckling. “It’s not American. If they’ve got a problem with it, we’re not going to change what we do.”

He didn’t seem any more inclined to take the state party’s feelings into account when told in a subsequent interview what Mullins had said.

“They can do what they want,” he said, chuckling again. “I’m waiting for the phone call.”

The images were still up as of Tuesday night.

Hudson said he posted most of the images himself, after coming across them online. He said critics were playing “the race card.”

“We know our regular readers, who are good conservatives, they’re gonna get a kick out of it,” said Hudson, 55, a retired airline flight crew member who became chairman in May. “The rest of them, if they don’t want to see it, they don’t have to look at it. We don’t consider any of it racist. . . . I’m not ashamed of it. I mean, good God, you should have seen some of the images they did of George [W.] Bush. It’s freedom of speech.”

Scholl criticized Allen for associating with members of the group, seeking to connect the images to the “macaca” gaffe that was partly to blame for his Senate reelection defeat six years ago. Allen had lobbed the word, a racial slur in some cultures, at a campaign aide to his opponent. He has since apologized.

“For a candidate with his history of racial insensitivity not to be vetting the folks who are hosting campaign events, and making sure he’s not implicitly endorsing over-the-top racist statements about the president, is pretty incredible,” Scholl said.

The committee did not host the event for Allen at the Lamplighter Restaurant in Clarksville, but it put out the word that he would be coming for a “Dutch treat” luncheon. About a dozen people attended, Hudson said.

What makes it so bad, senatorial candidate George Allen attended an event sponsored by the Mecklenburg County Republicans a few weeks ago.

“George Allen strongly condemns such imagery regardless of its source,” spokeswoman Emily Davis said. “This has no place in our politics.”

The asshole who created these offensive Photoshop pictures has his own website. And I recommend that you have a barf bag when you're looking at this website.

The Republicans and their conservative allies are frustrating. Instead of boycotting them and trying to silence their bigotry, we need to vote on November 6, 2012! If you can early vote, make it happen!

The Republicans already shown us how they've handled the economy and our government. We don't need it. We don't want Mitt Romney or Paul Ryan as the leaders of the United States. They've already proven it by writing off nearly 50% of the country.

It's easy to say this stuff behind the camera, computer, the comment section of a blog or in the place where bigotry is allowed! We can't stop it! But we're going to make our voices heard (at the ballot box)!

Some of these images I will post on Journal de la Reyna are NSFW (Not Safe For Work).

Armchair Warriors In The Corporate Media Are Pushing War In Iran!

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is coming to the United Nations. The United States and its allies are protesting the visit.

This is the most annoying candidate I've ever had to listen to! This foolish Mitt Romney, the former Massachusetts governor who's perennial attempts at running for president proven successful. He became the Republican Party's nominee for president. But so far, his chances at being the president is slim.

Romney's dropping in the polls. The Republicans are panicking.

The Republicans and their conservative allies in the corporate owned media are upset that the president choose to not attend meetings with leaders at the United Nations. They're complaining about the president spending time with Jay-Z and Beyonce instead of doing his job as president.

Once again NIGGERIZATION of the president.

The corporate media is trying to waste their time complaining about the president going on ABC's The View instead of meeting with the war-mongering Israeli conservative prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu. These worthless ass arm chair warriors on television are rooting for a global war.

Iran's president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad comes to the United Nations to make his statements. The controversial president is not a fan of Israel. He's warned that if they strike Iran, his government will waste no time striking back.

The Israeli leader who's at times meddles with U.S. Politics is trying to sway votes to Mitt Romney. He's a far right warmongering asshole who gets under President Barack Obama's skin at times with these petty demands to strike the Iranian nuclear program. Israel fears that Iran is going to launch a nuclear missile.

These Republicans first hate the United Nations. They want the United States to sever ties to global agency.

The Western media wants to make Ahmadinejad look like a villain. Each news agency with exception of Fox News had an opportunity to meet the leader. CNN's Piers Morgan had the most interesting interview with the often vocal Iranian leader.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had harsh words for Israel and called homosexuality an "ugly behavior."

During a taped interview with Piers Morgan broadcast Monday night on CNN, Ahmadinejad responded candidly to Morgan's questioning about a statement the Iranian leader once made that Israel should be "wiped off the map."

Speaking through a translator, Ahmadinejad said:

If a group comes and occupies the United States of America, destroys homes while women and children are in those homes, incarcerate the youth of America, impose five different wars on many neighbors, and always threaten others, what would you do? What would you say? Would you help it? ... Or would you help the people of the United States?

So when we say "to be wiped," we say for occupation to be wiped off from this world. For war-seeking to (be) wiped off and eradicated, the killing of women and children to be eradicated. And we propose the way. We propose the path. The path is to recognize the right of the Palestinians to self-governance.

Ahmadinejad also did not fully acknowledge the Holocaust, saying to Morgan, "Whatever event has taken place throughout history, or hasn't taken place, I cannot judge that. Why should I judge that? I say researchers and scholars must be free to conduct research and analysis about any historical event."
Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu threatens war against Iran.
The Iranian president, who is in New York for an address to the United Nations on Wednesday, condemned the attack on the U.S. Embassy in Libya that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens.

"First of all any action that is provocative (that) offends the religious thoughts and feelings of any people we condemn. Likewise we condemn any type of extremism. Of course what took place is ugly."

Ahmadinejad also called homosexuality an "ugly behavior."

"Homosexuality ceases procreation," he said. "Who has said that if you like or believe in doing something ugly, and others do not accept your behavior they are denying your freedom? Who says that? Perhaps in a country they wish to legitimize stealing?"

Morgan then asked the Iranian president what he would do if one of his children was gay.

"Proper education must be given," Ahmadinejad said. "The education system must be revamped. The political system must be revamped. But if a group recognizes an ugly behavior or ugly deed as legitimate, you must not expect other countries or other groups to give it the same recognition."

Why On Earth Would Bigots Confuse A Rapper For Trayvon Martin?

Thanks again to MyRightWingDad.net. The most dumbest thing to ever hit your crazy Republican family member's email account. The right wing email that was collected by this website has another little gem, going after Sanford, Florida shooting victim, Trayvon Martin. This time the conservatives are using Compton-based rapper Game for their selective outrage.

Subject: Recognize this guy?
Recognize this guy?

Compton based rapper Game.
Do you know who this is?

It is Little Trayvon ...!

Don't know how much coverage this story has had in your area, but, if it has, here's a new look at it!

For those of us who thought we were well informed and weren't.....quite the realty check.

That old adage applies here: "there are two sides to every story." We don't always get the truth from the media. One of my favorite rants - the liberal controlled media, television news, newspapers, magazines, radio; all continue to show 12 year old Trayvon; NOT 17 year old Trayvon.

They continue to show the 5 year old picture BECAUSE it helps to cement in your mind the little, cute, hoodie-wearing youngster who was stalked by this monster.

In reality "little Trayvon" at the time of his death stood almost 6'2" tall and weighed 175 muscular pounds. He had numerous run ins with authorities (both at school and local police), had been stopped and almost arrested two days before his death for smacking a bus driver in the face, because the driver refused to let him ride for free. He was released because the driver was told not to press charges by the bus company and to continue on his route.

When "little Trayvon" was suspended at school it was not only because he tried to bring a little marijuana in with him, he was in possession of wedding rings and other jewelry, watches, etc. that he said he "found" along with a large screwdriver while on the way to school that day. The jewelry was turned over to the Police by the school.

I am not trying to say this was a good shooting.

I am not trying to say this kid deserved to die. I am saying the media in the USA is controlled by liberals who twist and distort what you see and hear in order for you to see things their way.

Not a single paper has printed RECENT photos of this kid, because it would not keep your interest in this case.

Not a single paper will admit that this kid was a marijuana dealer.

His friends on Facebook all say he had the "best plants". Not a single paper will show you any of his recent photos where he shows off a mouthful of gold teeth and all of his tattoos.

Not a single newspaper will tell the news like it really is....and NOT how they want you to think it is...

President King Obama looked at the FIVE year old photo the media chose to show the Nation and said, "If I had a son...he would look like Trayvon.." So from that comment should I assume you did not bother to look for the facts in this shooting..or should I assume you want a son who is a 17 year old drug dealing, gold teethed thug whose name on one of his facebook profiles was "wild nigga" who 'finds" jewelry and burglary tools on the way to school?

A fair and impartial news media in the USA ? One that does not follow the liberal agenda? Is NOT looking to further divide this already fractured Nation?

I didn't compose this. I'm only passing it on.

Never trust the news media for anything.

Let's get this straight, you assholes confuse a teenager for an entertainer?

This is why Black people aren't hip to the Republican Party! I mean look how they clearly attempted to confuse Game (born Jayecon Taylor) with Trayvon Martin!

This shooting in Sanford, Florida has divided the nation by race, political and economic standings.

Republicans are attacking the president for meddling with the case! We had a firefighter say that Trayvon Martin's parents are lazy degenerates. We have one conservative talk radio host trying to help the shooter George Zimmerman pay for his legal defense. We have white supremacists trying to recruit members to join their ranks. Death threats to Trayvon Martin's parents. It's crazy! It's sad!

It's why the Republican Party is so screwed up today!

Brown Meets Red Pt. 2 | Scott Brown Staffers Mock Native Americans!

Tough fight for U.S. Senator Scott Brown (R-Massachusetts)
Huffington Post post the Electoral College for the 2012 U.S. Presidential Election. The Republican nominee  Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama have an early outlook if the election was held today. The outlook looks good for the president. As of today he holds 332 in electoral votes to Mitt Romney's 191 electoral votes.

We look into one of the most hottest U.S. Senate race in the country. The Massachusetts senate race is one of the popular ones to bring forth.

Senator Scott Brown (R-Massachusetts) was a little known state legislator from the state. He ended up becoming the first Republican to be endorsed by the conservative Tea Party Movement.

As a moderate politician, Brown went to the table on some of the deal breakers of the U.S. Senate. Brown, Senator Olympia Snowe (R-Maine, retriing), Senator Dean Heller (R-Nevada), Senator Rob Portman (R-Ohio), Senator Susan Collins (R-Maine), Senator Mark Kirk (R-Illinois), Senator Lisa Murkoski (R-Alaska), Senator Dan Coates (R-Indiana) and Senator Richard Lugar (R-Indiana) are the moderate Republicans. They're getting pressure from the conservatives to move further to the right. Some are retiring and others were beaten in primaries. Massachusetts is a state that up for grabs for the Democrats.

Republicans brag a lot about Brown taking then Senator Ted Kennedy's longtime seat. Well could it fall back into the Democrats column.

When Kennedy died in 2009, the governor Deval Patrick ordered a special election. Brown took on a weaker nominee from the Democratic Party and beaten her in January 2011.

The most vulnerable members of the U.S. Senate are staying far away from President Barack Obama and Republican Mitt Romney.

Senator Claire McCaskill (D-Missouri) was targeted as the most vulnerable candidate running. Her disapproval is high! But a slip-up by senate challenger, Congressman Todd Akin (R-Missouri) has brought her from the back to actually leading in some polls. The Republicans are distancing themselves from Akin, leaving this state solely to be a hold for the Democrats.

Congressman Joe Donnelly (D-Indiana) is running against Republican treasurer Richard Murdock, a Tea Party endorsed candidate. Murdock beaten longtime Senator Richard Lugar (R-Indiana) in the primary.

When Murdock opened his mouth and stated that his goal is to be an obstructionist to Congress, it gave Democrats a break. Now a safe hold for Republicans is now a toss up!

Senator Scott Brown is now the most vulnerable candidate running for reelection. He's facing consumer advocate Elizabeth Warren. The race is a toss up and it leans towards Brown in some elections. But the latest turn of events may have Brown scrambling.

His staffers were mocking Warren by making an inappropriate holler mocking Native Americans.

Elizabeth Warren is catching up!
Talking Points Memo, a liberal news agitating website tells that staffers of Senator Scott Brown reportedly participated in war-whoop sounds and “tomahawk chop” gestures at supporters of Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren, mocking Warren’s claimed Native American ancestry.

The incident occurred this past Saturday in Boston, at a rally for Brown featuring former Boston Mayor Ray Flynn, and at which a group of Warren supporters also showed up with signs. The video was posted Tuesday by the state liberal blog Blue Mass Group.

According to the local ABC affiliate in Boston, it has been confirmed that among the participants were Brown’s deputy Chief of Staff Greg Casey, Constituent Service Counsel Jack Richard, plus state GOP operative Brad Garrett.

“It is certainly something that I don’t condone,” Brown himself told the station. “The real offense is that (Warren) said she was white and then checked the box saying she is Native American, and then she changed her profile in the law directory once she made her tenure.”

“She checked the box claiming she was a Native American. And you know, clearly she’s not,” Brown said. “That being said, I don’t know and neither do the viewers know whether she got ahead as a result of that checking of the box. But the only way that we’ll be able to find that out is to have her release her personnel records, have Harvard release their personnel records to make sure that she did not have an advantage that others were entitled to.”

Brown followed this up with a TV ad on Monday, questioning Warren’s honesty.

Warren answered with an ad of her own. “As a kid, I never asked my mom for documentation when she talked about our Native American heritage. What kid would?” Warren said to the camera in the ad. “But I knew my father’s family didn’t like that she was part Cherokee and part Delaware — so my parents had to elope.

“Let me be clear, I never asked for, never got any benefit, because of my heritage. The people who hired me have all said they didn’t even know about it. I’m Elizabeth Warren, I approve this message. Scott Brown can continue attacking my family — but I”m gonna keep fighting for yours.”

Talking Points Memo contributes to this scandal facing Senator Scott Brown (R-Massachusetts).

Now overall, the Republican Party's chances to reclaim the U.S. Senate is looking dimmer. Although, I still have it likely they'll gain some pick ups, I am guessing they'll win back the senate.

Real Clear Politics has the Democrats holding on 48 while the Republicans holding on 44. But the Republicans are going to pick up Nebraska. Democrats will get likely independent candidate Angus King, former governor of Maine as pick up.

Ohio and Florida are favoring President Barack Obama. Senator Bill Nelson (D-Florida) and Senator Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) are leading in their races against Republican opponents. Brown is taking on Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel. Nelson is taking on Congressman Connie Mack (R-Florida).

Senator Jon Tester (D-Montana) is catching up with senate candidate Congressman Denny Rehberg (R-Montana). Right now it's leaning towards Rehberg, but it's going to be a tougher race for him.

Senator Dean Heller (R-Nevada) is trying to keep his seat. After being appointed by the state's Republican governor Brian Sandoval appointed him after John Ensign resigned after a major sex scandal. Heller is facing ethics violations as well as his opponent  Congresswoman Shelley Berkley (D-Nevada). Both candidates are distancing themselves from the presidential candidates. The state of Nevada has high unemployment but it's likely a hold for President Barack Obama. He carried the state in 2008.

Virginia is a true toss up! The former senator George Allen and former Democratic National Leader Tim Kaine are both focusing on their state respectfully. Senator Jim Webb (D-Virgina) is retiring and Allen wants to reclaim his seat back! Webb beaten Allen in 2006. The state's unemployment is declining. It's lower than the national average and President Barack Obama is doing slightly well there.

Bottom line, Democrats are feeling optimistic about holding on the U.S. Senate.

A Nigger-Lovin' Obama Supporter, Says Texas Bigot!

Feeling the love!

As of right now, President Barack Obama has 332 electoral votes and Mitt Romney has 191 electoral votes.

This comes courtesy of The Huffington Post.

The Lone Star State is notorious for hot heads! Another ridiculous attack from a radical conservative asshole who has an apparent hatred of President Barack Obama. The Raw Story presents another issue straight out of Texas.

Now I'm not the one to jump to conclusions but someone in Texas really hates President Barack Obama!

In McKinney, Texas some bigot with unprecedented support Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney vandalized a woman's pro-Obama yard sign with racist and vulgar language.

Cassy Zobel is a 34-year-old white business owner and blogger from McKinney, Texas. Last weekend, she revealed on Friday that someone had covered her Obama yard sign with the message: “N*GGER LOVER — Obama Sucks Dick!”

When neighbors saw the sign, she notified the police. She told a fellow blogger about her situation.
“We have at least 4 African American families living on this street. I’m so offended, not just because whoever did this is ignorant and misinformed and trespassed and vandalized my sign, but infinitely more for my neighbors who might have driven by and seen it.”
The back side of the sign was covered with, “Romney & Ryan: Christian. White. Anti-Gay. Republicans Rule!”

This controversy has the woman fuming! She gives a warning to those who vandalize her signs:
“The [homeowner association] has been notified, and my sign is uncovered and back in my yard. I’m not afraid of you and your bigotry,” she advised the perpetrator, adding, “WHEN we catch you messing with our sign you will, quite appropriately be charged with the felony this is and smacked with the associated $2,000 fine.”
“I find it interesting that our little suburban city was just named the 2nd best place to live in America,” Cassy noted. “I suppose there should have been a caveat. ‘Best Place to Live If You’re A Bigoted White, Christian, Anti-Gay Person Who Doesn’t Support Our First African-American President And Hates Everyone Who Does.’ That was probably too long a title, though.”

Foot In The Mouth Disease Spreads Around The Mitt Romney Campaign!

This CBS interview was captured by the Obama Campaign and their Democratic allies. This pathetic candidate says his tax rate is fine compared to a middle class worker paying more in taxes.

This pathetic candidate running for president is ignoring his own running mate, wife and the Republicans call to change direction.

Not much is mentioned about Republican Wisconsin congressman and vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan.

Not much is mentioned about Ann Romney, the wife of the presidential nominee.

Not much is mentioned about the policies that the Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney wants to enact if he should become the President of The United States.

In other words, you can sum it up in two words: You're ******!

It's been a train wreck of dysfunction for Mitt Romney's presidential campaign. The perennial candidate for president is overcoming a devastating week. The gaffe about 47% of the American public being "victims" dependent of government and not paying taxes was released by political foes and this has him scrambling for another

The president and Mitt Romney appeared on the Univision Latino Forum in Florida and both had an opportunity to win over undecided voters in a growing minority population.

It was reported by the liberal agitators online that the Republican nominee, threw a temper tantrum behind the scenes.

Buzzfeed, a liberal news agitating website reported that members of the Romney Campaign were upset over issues during the appearance.

Mitt Romney's campaign took a hard line with the Spanish-language network Univision, making last-minute demands in the run-up to last week's town hall that helped insure his success in the forum.

Mitt Romney's campaign took a hard line with the Spanish-language network Univision, making last-minute demands in the run-up to last week's town hall that helped insure his success in the forum

That wouldn’t be the last demand from the campaign: Romney himself almost pulled the plug on the whole thing minutes before the broadcast, Univision reporter Maria Elena Salinas said.

The looks on their faces show that Mitt Romney irked them! Univision news reporter Maria Elena Salinas claims that Mitt Romney threw a temper tantrum before he appeared onstage at last Thursday's forum.
While introducing Romney at the top of the broadcast, Salinas’s co-anchor, Jorge Ramos, noted that the Republican candidate had agreed to give the network 35 minutes, and that Obama had agreed to a full hour the next night. Ramos then invited the audience to welcome Romney to the stage — but the candidate didn’t materialize.

“It was a very awkward moment, believe me,” Salinas said.

Apparently, Romney took issue with the anchors beginning the broadcast that way, said Salinas, and he refused to go on stage until they re-taped the introduction. (One Republican present at the taping said Romney “threw a tantrum.”)

The dueling forums served as the centerpiece of a week when both candidates were working hard to appeal to Hispanic voters. In addition to his Univision appearance, Romney sat down for an interview with Telemundo, and held an energetic "Juntos con Romney" rally here, complete with Cuban salsa music, and a cameo by the candidate's Spanish-speaking son, Craig.

The Obama campaign was quick to point out that Romney spent less time on Univision than the president did, pointing to it as a symbol for the Republican's lack of commitment to Latino voters.
"Mitt Romney used the limited time he gave to Univision to evade the tough questions and reiterate positions he's taken that would disproportionately impact Latinos," said Gabriela Domenzain, accusing the Republican of championing middle class tax increases and a hardline immigration policy.

The Romney campaign, meanwhile, dismissed Democrats' crowing as an attempt to divert attention from Obama's rocky performance, during which he admitted to dropping the ball on immigration reform, and said he'd learned in office that "you can't change Washington from the inside."

One Romney aide, who requested anonymity to discuss strategy, said their campaign received no special advantage in the forums. Instead, he said, their superior crowd was proof that their strong Hispanic outreach program in the state is working.

Indeed, presidential campaigns are rarely won by the meek, and the Obama campaign's ability to provide presidential access to favored outlets is one of the cycle's most valuable resources. But the Romney camp fought harder at the critical Hispanic forum, and it appeared to pay off. Since the conventions, local Romney aides have been boasting that their Hispanic-focused ground game in the state is bigger than any Republican presidential campaign in history, with 13 full-time paid staffers and hundreds of volunteers.

What's more, one person familiar with both campaigns' media buys said Romney aired Spanish-language ads in key battleground states throughout the country during the Univision forums, while the Obama campaign remained dark in Spanish markets on those nights.

Romney has more work to do than Obama does in winning over the Latino electorate, with recent polls showing the president leading in that demographic nationally by as many as 50 percentage points. But the gap is much smaller among Florida Hispanics, who include a large, right-leaning Cuban exile minority, and the Romney aide said Obama did nothing to seal the deal in his Univision appearance Thursday.

What does this say about the perennial candidate for president?

Desperation!
